I have an eight year old iMac running OSX 10.6.8 and just installed the latest Flash Player but the audio won't play on the youtube music website. What else do I need to update or install to listen to the music?

Did you uninstall all the previous versions of Adobe Flash Player? Did you repair permissions and restarted your computer after the installation?
Which browser & version are you using? Have you tried other browsers?

Not having enough space on your hard drive is a problem in itself, OS X likes 10-20% free in order to operate smoothly. Right click on your hard drive icon and choose Get Info to see how much you have free. There are several free applications that will help you identify what is taking up so much space just Google it. I have used quicktime player downloads for movie clips made for equipment inspections. However in 2011 I encountered a problem when trying to view previously made movie clips that are in the quicktime player format but they won't play giving the messgae : Error-202 a bad movie atom was found in the movie,
I have downloaded the latest Quicktime player but the problem still remains. However late in 2011 when this problem was encountered I downloaded the the latest QT player download and then could play the movie clips but now the problem is back.
How do I fix this problem.

If your computer does not meet the requirements to install Mavericks, it may still meet the requirements to install Lion.
You can purchase Lion at the Online Apple Store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download. Why to I have a blue haze on the photos and on the menu bars of apps. I have Intel iMac running OSX 10.7.5. This problem just started. All my photos are corurpted with a blue haze.
Here is another photo with the wierd blue circle in the sky taken with a DSLR. This did not appear until recently and now I see it on all photos and also when I print the photo.

I have a IMac - Mac OSX version 10.4 and présently i see only verticals lines on my desktop and my mouse, i mean the arrow and still mouving but with a little square with vertical lines at the right. This appened when i was talking with a friend on Skype, by error i did click on the video and slowly the vertical lines appeared and covered all ma desktop. Since then, it still there and the only things i see it is the vertical lines and the arrow with the little square.
How can i fix this problem ?

One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode). -

Does anyone else get a Netfix window popping up unexpectedly? I have an iMac with OSX 10.6.8 and Safari browser version 5.1.10. It only happens when I go to a specific local news site, and it is only a Netflix window that opens up. I do have a Netflix account.

Hi, I have a PPC Running OSX 10.5.4 and I want to delete the User "Guest"and "Shared"Folders on my HD, they won't let me change the permissions and I keep getting errors that say the permissions should be 0 and are 501 and having files i can't delete that go on and on ad infinitum... I think it's a virus or a corruption? Can anyone tell me or help me and let me know what I'm dealing with here or wether I'm mistaken and should leave it alone?

Why do you want to delete those? What have you done so far to do that?
I doubt that Mac has a virus. On the other hand, your attempts to deleted those folders may have caused corruption.
Two other comments:
1) Is there a reason that Mac hasn't been updated to OS X 10.5.8?

Flash player only works in administrator account. In other accounts safari can't play flash videos (youtube or others) while firefox can. OSX 10.5.8 safari 5.0.5 / latest flash player. I have tried almost everything. Reinstall safari and flash player, repair permissions.... Any help?
Repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the menu bar, quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
If that didn't help, install the v10.5.8 combo update.
