I have purchased a new computer with Windows 8.1 and the old computer had Windows Vista and was very slow. I need to uninstall Adobe Creative Suite 3 and put it on the new computer. Is this possible and what do I need to do?
I have purchased an new computer with the Windows 8.1 OS. The old computer had Windows Vista and is just about to quit working altogether. I wish to uninstall it on that computer and deactivate it; so that I may install the software that I purchased (some years ago, but hardly used) on my new computer. Is that allowed and do I have the right idea about doing it? I have the serial number
and all that with the software.

I reboot the computer, check add remove program, cs4 web standard is still here, and I can still launch the applications like nothing happened...
but at this point if I try to manually uninstall (with add/remove program) i get an error message saying "cirtical errors during installation: program installation database is incorrect, reinstall from original support" (maybe not accurate as it's in french)
same thing if i run manually the cleaner tool and go through the dialog.
I don't know what else I can do, I've already spent a couple of hours with this issue.

I have to uninstall cs4 english to install it back in french. If I try reinstall with the french licence over the existing install, it starts in trial mode and ask for the licence.
So if I follow your advice I should reinstall, uninstall, then reinstall ( and I have to do that on 30 computers, through SCCM, not manually)
As you see it become quite complicated.

use the adobe uninstallers to uninstall from your old computer, and use the installation files to install on your new computer.

I am looking to upgrade from Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium to the latest. We are running on an isolated network without access to the Internet. Looking for advise on how best to proceed.
As far as upgrading goes, you will not have that option for CS3 as it is not in the upgrade path for CS6. You will have to purchase the full version of CS6. I don't know if buying the disk is still an option, but if you have to you can download the installation file(s) and copy to a removeable media and install using that. In order to activate it you will have to perform an offline activation.

Nope. Migration does not work with any Adobe software. Don't even try it, it will cause a lot of huge problems.
Deactivate your software on the old computer. Install it from the original installer on the new one, don't forget to install all upgrades which are available in the meantime. -
Adobe Creative Suite 6: Activation Issue on a new SSD
I own a licensed copy of Creative Suite 6 for Macintosh. I've installed it on my Mac Pro and my MacBook Pro. I am planning on replacing the optical drive, which I never use, with a solid state drive. I intend to clone the operative system and applications like CS6 onto the new solid state drive. My hope is that I will make my aging MacBook Pro significantly faster.
Question: Will I have to deactivate CS 6 before I do this and then reactivate it after the cloning is complete? Will I have to reinstall CS 6 from my original DVDs? What other issues will I face?

EVForget the cloning, reinstall the programs properly. Otherwise the activation will not work because quite simply the activation key is not there. of course you should always deactivate existing installs before meddling with any of this...

I downloaded all the applications from adobe creative suite as a trial, when the trial came to the
end I purchased the full version and now all the products won't work they tell me I need a serial number to register them, so I decided to delete all the applications and see if i could download them again from my account now the new application manger says I already have these products and I can't download them again. what do i do?

How to recover Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium after Apple wiped computer
We installed the education edition with a new Macbook Pro. Three years later Apple wiped the computer (twice) and, while we have the CDs, we don't have the paperwork with the serial number that the Apple Store used to load the software.
The serial number is normally located on the disc casing. If you ever registered the software with Adobe then the serial number should be available thru your Adobe account online.
