I have recently downloaded the latest version of itunes and now my ipod is not being detected on my itunes
This has been really frustrating me today, I downloaded the new version of itunes today and now it seems that my ipod will no longer connect to itunes. when I plug the usb cable into my laptop it recognizes it is there but itunes doesn't detect that it is there.
it doesn't even open the itunes up when i plug it in, this is really bugging so any help would be great.

When I open itunes it freezes for a few seconds then says iTunes stopped working and closes down. I have tried downloading the latest version, both repair and remove and it still keeps happening
Tried the un-install and getting the same problem although it takes a bit longer before it crashes this time. Checked the problem report and it looks the same as the previous reports.

i've updated my iphone 3gs software to the latest version of ios and now my device does not activate. i've searched for help here and it still doesn't work...is there anything else i can do, or i have to take the device back to the store?

As I said, the other day I had downloaded the latest version of Firefox and after doing so none of the icons for the different websites that normally go to are no longer there. Websites such as MSNBC, MSN, Most visited, that entire strip is no longer visible. I tired resetting Firefox and still nothing. Can anyone tell me how to get them to appear again? It's a hassle every time that I want to go to one of those sites I have to type it in the search bar, instead of just clicking on it as I did before. Please keep in mind if you answer, that I'm still learning about these things called computers and not very well versed in some of the things that you experts know:) Thanks
On Windows XP Firefox shows the menu bar by default and not the orange Firefox menu button that is shown when the menu bar is hidden.<br />
The menu bar is the toolbar at the top that shows menu items like File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help.<br />
You can press the F10 key or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily in case this bar is hidden (View > Toolbars or Firefox > Options).
The Navigation Toolbar shows the Back and forward button and the input field where you type the address of a site that you want to visit (aka location bar) and also has a search bar where you can type items that you want to look up with a search engine (Google).

I just downloaded the latest version of FF and now I can't send messages via hotmail.
On April 6th, 2011 I downloaded the latest version of FF and shortly thereafter I found that I could not send mail from my hotmail account. I can receive, edit, read etc. I can do most everything EXCEPT send. I can, however, send mail from IE so it is definitely something within the new FF.
Yup I experienced the same problem. My workaround was to throw out the latest version and go back to iTunes 10.5. I'm on a Mac so the problem is on both PC and Mac platforms. Hard to believe that this software got released with such a serious problem.

After getting a prompt on screen stating there was a new version of firefox available I clicked and downloaded. I think it is awful and either want to revert back to the old version or will try another provider. Can anyone help me get the older version? I have always been able to create playlists on itunes, then drag them to my ipod when it is plugged into the mac. I recently downloaded the latest version of itunes, and now am unable to do that. I can drag songs and albums to the ipod, but not my playlists. It used to be so easy, am I missing something here?
Plug your iPod into your computer, it will begin to sync. Now check to see if the playlists have been added.
If not, go to the songs tab under your iPod when it is connected to iTunes, Unless you have checked "Sync all songs (or something to those words)" you should have an option on what you can put on your iPod. Make sure to check the playlists that you want on your iPod. -

I recently downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader for my MacBook Air and now when I try to open a new pdf I get the Adobe logo and text in Japanese and nothing else. The pdf doesn't open. Any suggestions? I never had this problem until my cache was cleared and I had to re-install Adobe Reader. Any help would be appreciated.
Just to say I am having exactly the same issue on my MacBook Air. I can't remember what I did but after this happened a few times, and once I had clicked on the Japanese pop up, I managed to do something that now means I get the pop up in English, saying 'Adobe Reader blocked for this website'. When I click on it it asks me to trust the content and then I get a bar with the text in Japanese. Eventually the pdf does open. However it's very irritating that I have to trust every pdf individually which I never had to do before the latest upgrade, and I don't understand why I get messages in Japanese. I will be interested to see whatever answers other more technical people may provide!

This is a copy of ONEof the keys in the registry I changed as told by Apple support today. I also have changed others as instructed by GEAR software support to manually delete GEAR drivers (that I had installed but couldn't delete some of the others they mentioned from Windows system 32. Then some bright spark at work told me I need the Gear drivers so I downloaded the software and installed again.

1. Did the plugin check on June 10th -- got the message that Acrobat Reader plugin for Firefox and Netscape was an outdated version. Pressed the Update button on the page and was taken to the Adobe site.
2. Downloaded the latest version, AdbeRdr1001_en_US.exe, and then ran the executable locally on the PC. The update completed normally. Note: I did not unistall the old Acrobat reader before running the executable.
3. Went back to the plugin check page and I still received the outdated message for that plugin. Have rebooted system (i.e. the next day) and repeated the check, with the same results.
4. Have opened Acrobat Reader application, pressed Help and then Check for Updates -- no new updates were found. Have run the Mozilla test (Mozilla Privacy Policy PDF) without any issues.
5. What is the plugin version that should be registered on my PC within the Add-ons Manager?
6. Please advise on the appropriate steps.I think there is a bug in Plug-in check. It happened to me as well in the last few days. There's no newer version of Adobe Reader that I know of. Anyway, Adobe is going to release a patch next Tuesday, maybe that'll fix this bug.
