The voicemail system used for the iPhone is different from the voicemail system used on the rest of the Verizon Wireless network. When you activate the iPhone, you lose your saved voicemails from the other system. When you activate a non-iphone, you lose any saved voicemails from the iPhone voicemail system too.

Updated from Lotus Notes 7 to 8, PDFMaker is now gone, how do I get it back?

My company moved from Lotusnotes 7 to Lotusnotes 8, when I upgraded to 8 the PDFMaker that allowed me to convert emails into PDF files was gone. I went to File, Preferences, Toolbar preferences, Toolbar and you can not make PDFMaker visable because it is not there. While reading the help in Acrobat it says that a toolbar is added to Lotusnotes when installed (which it did when I bought it while using Lotusnotes 7), but when I upgraded to Lotusnotes 8 it is gone. Adobe Acrobat can be opened and used, I just lost the ability to convert email in Lotusnotes to a pdf file. How do I get it back? Do I have to uninstall Acrobat and then reinstall it all over again or ??????????

Make sure that the Location Bar is not set to "Nothing":

no content needed. As I stated previously, all bookmarks are gone after firefox did an auto update.

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Firefox updated and my new page tiles are now gone how do I get them back?

I update Firefox, and in the process Norton became my automatic search engine and new page. I have tried everything but have not be able to revert back to the new page tiles. Can you help me resolve this problem? I have attached a photo of what my new page looks like.

This is likely because norton automatically changed your new tab page in an update to its software. To change this, do the following:
1. Open a new tab, and go to about:config
2. In the search box, type in "browser.newtab.url"
3. Double-click on the entry that appears, and in the text box that appears enter "about:newtab", and then click okay.

I don't know if this will help someone but I am posting this for that purpose. In the past when I first had this problem, I'd read a post somewhere (sorry, long ago, don't have the link) where an individual was having the same problem and they stated that when the MBP got heated, that's when the keys would stop working, and they went into the MBP and jiggle some stuff around (a specific wire, I'm not electronically inclined so I know NOT of what they spake!). Well I didn't want to do that but it always stuck in the back of my mind. I had given up, really, and was planning to take my MBP to the apple store. But by chance one night I left my MBP on the floor where it's cool, and when I turned it on, the problem went - poof! It seems there was some validity to the post that spoke about heat, because my problems started when I would stream foreign dramas on my MBP for hours at night, and I would hear the fan going off all the time, and in the mornings, my "p", "enter", "0", ";", and all the function keys would stop working.
So, maybe try keeping the MBP in a cool place when it's off. Since I've started doing this overnight every night (keeping it on the cool floor, out of reach of any big feet), I have not had a single problem with my keyboard.
Hopefully this might help someone.

If you can open Safari go to the top of your screen, click Safari / Preferences then select the General stab. You can type in the web address for your Home page there.

Simply go back into your applications folder and find the icon for Safari. Click and drag the icon back into the menu bar. You can choose where to place it by moving it to the perfered place in the menu bar and unclick to set.

Are your contacts still on your computer? If yes, set one contact up on the phone and sync it, you'll get the option to merge data.
If there are no more contacts on the computer, see if your latest backup still has the info, if you did not sync after you lose the info, they are still part of the backup.

In Firefox 3.6 on Windows you can hide the menu bar via "View > Toolbars" or via the right click context menu on a toolbar.
Press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the menu bar.
Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the menu bar or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide.

Aren't those the default games that come with the iPod Classic? If so, they won't be in your iTunes library, but only on your iPod Classic itself as they are built in the iPod's software.

If that is correct, updating your system software may help the Safari toolbar issue.
Click Software Update from your Apple menu OR open System Preferences > Software Update > Check Now
Restart your Mac after the updates are installed then try Safari.
If your software is actually up to date, from the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab.
If you have any extensions installed, turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If the address bar reappears, uninstall one extension at a time, quit and reluanch Safari to test until you find the one that's blocking the address bar.
