I install my ox s lion but my iPhoto did not install

DId you upgrade a Snow Leopard system with Lion or did you erase the hard drive and just install Lion? If the latter, Lion, by itself, does not include the iLife programs. You'll either need to reinstall them from your Snow Leopard DVD or iLife DVD or buy iLife or iPhoto from the App store. Or did you buy iPhoto from the App store?

What OS? Have you tried a repair and updates from the HELP menu? The updates may be the key.

Did you do this download on the phone, or in iTunes? If on the phone, after the download did you select install? Same with iTunes, did you select update and install or just download? What did it do? Is anything showing on your phone?

Might depend on the OS that you did not mention. Try doing the updates and see if that solves the problem. Otherwise, tell us more about your OS.

  • I re-installed Firefox on my laptop; but other users did not get the program installed under their log-in; how do I fix this?

I recently un-installed Firefox on my Windows Vista laptop; when I re-installed it, the program is only available to me (the administrator of the laptop); two other users are not able to use the program. I've tried "right-clicking" on the Firefox icon, clicking on Properties, then Security, and adding the two other users to the list, but after clicking on "apply" and then "OK", the other users still don't have access to the program. How do I fix this? Thanks!

First and foremost, learn punctuation and capitalization so we can read what you're writing properly.

  • I have a MacBook Air running OSX 10.74. I've tried 3 time to upgrade the to the latest OSX. The upgrades downloaded, but when they start to install the operation stops and says the upgrades did not install because an error occurred.

I've tried 3 times to upgrade my operating system. Each time the upgrade is downloaded, but when it starts to install the upgrades, it stops and says the upgrades were not installed because an error occurred. No mention of what the error was.

    Hi ..
If you are trying to upgrade to Mavericks, make sure your Mac meets the requirements >  OS X Mavericks: System Requirements
And make sure there's enough free storage space. Mavericks requires about 8GB's.
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click About This Mac > More Info > Storage
Make sure there's at least 15% free disk space.
If it's not a storage space issue ...
Apps such as Little Snitch, Growl, MacKeeper, and anti virus software can prevent apps from downloading including OS X upgrades
Disable anti virus software if installed
Check the firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall > Firewall Options
    Make sure Gatekeeper is enabled
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Make sure either Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers is selected.
If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to proceed.

  • I reboot my computer, wiping everything clean and reinstalling programs.  iphoto did not install and I don't know why.  I thought I would just purchase the download, but it says that I need to chose an application to open it.  What so I do?

I had some issues with my computer.  So, I took it back to the original by installing the original software.  The problem is that iphoto doesn't show up anywhere.  I thought I would purchase it but it says "what application do you want to use to open it."  I don't know what to do.  Help please.

    reinstall from the original source
    Could be
1 - the restore disks that came with the computer
    or
2 - the iLife DVD that you purchased
    or
3 - the app store - log in under the Apple id used to purchase the software or to set up the computer - look under purchases - you might have to unhide or accept the Application first

  • I can't install itunes on my PC. Message "itunes did not install correctly. Please reinstall itunes. Error 7 (windows error 5). How do I fix this? I have uninstalled itunes and quicktime several times

I also deleted all apple software on my pc.

A complete uninstall/reinstall of iTunes and related software components is worth a try (7s can indicate trouble with other software components like Apple Application Support). See the following documents for instructions:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
... But if no joy there, let's check to see if there's a .NET issue underlying this:

  • Oracle 9i - did not install with SQL Loader

Installed Oracle 9i (standard, personal would not install) on XP home edition but SQL Loader did not come this this and I would like to import to 9i. How can I accomplish this? I can not locate any tools included in the installation.
    Thank you!!!

I think the SQL Loader do not come with Oracle personal edition, at least it didn't on my 8.0.x personal edition before.
But I think there are few options:
    1. You may install Enterprise edition administrator client on the same machine. It comes with some admin tools like sql loader (sqlldr or sometime it may be some different name with different version). Be very careful on versions, if it may conflick with your existing version, you may consider to install to a new Oracle home and make sql net connection to connect your personal edition's home and then sql load.
    2. The faster way and the prefered way is to install ODBC driver, use some other Windows application like FoxPro to read a file and insert into Oracle via ODBC.
    3. Use Oracle Forms to connect your database and use Text I/O commands to read file and then insert into database.
    Hope this help.

ps: sorry for my english :S

You apparently are using a version of OS X you did not purchase using your Apple ID. Although you can download Mavericks you cannot install it over your current system. You must repartition your hard drive, then reinstall the version of OS X originally installed when it came new from the factory. That would be on the installer discs that should have come with the computer. If the computer did not come with discs from the factory but OS X was pre-installed (Lion or Mountain Lion) then you can perform an Internet Recovery:
Install Mavericks, Lion/Mountain Lion Using Internet Recovery
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
Boot to the Internet Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND-OPTION- R keys until a globe appears on the screen. Wait patiently - 15-20 minutes - until the Recovery main menu appears.
Partition and Format the hard drive:
    1. Select Disk Utility from the main menu and click on the Continue button.
    2. After DU loads select your external hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed. Quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion. Mavericks: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks and click on the Install button. Be sure to select the correct drive to use if you have more than one.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • I have problems with my macbook pro ... I recently bought "OS X Lion Mountain" but complete installation did not work ... purchases every time when I look biem appstore is still installed ... so now I have OS X version 10.8.3 ...

I have problems with my macbook pro ... I recently bought "OS X Lion Mountain" but complete installation did not work ... purchases every time when I look biem appstore is still installed ... so now I have OS X version 10.8.3 ...

does it say not installed or does it say "download" in app store purchases?
if it say's download,  then it's there for future use if you need to download it again.
see image below - i'm running Mountain Lion and it say's download in my App Store.

  • I have purchased Lion but I need to re-install it.

How do I download it again?  The App Store says that Lion is already installed.
    Thanks

    Read this :-
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
    Specifically
    Install OS X Lion
If you completed your installation of OS X Lion, your installer may have been removed after your successful first login to OS X Lion. Mac App Store's Purchases page should show Install Mac OS X Lion as being "Installed", and disallow its download, when viewed from a computer running OS X Lion.
To redownload the installer on a computer running OS X Lion, press and hold the Option key while you click the Purchases tab. If the button to the right of the Install Mac OS X Lion item doesn't change to "Install" and allow you to download Lion, use Spotlight to search for "Install Mac OS X Lion" on your computer.
Launch the Install Mac OS X Lion installer you downloaded from Mac App Store. The installer should be in the /Applications folder.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the Lion installation. Be sure you install Lion on the external storage device you've connected for this purpose, not your computer's boot drive.
When installation to your external device is complete, you can re-run Install Mac OS X Lion installer and upgrade the boot drive of your computer. A Recovery HD will likely not be created, but if you need to reinstall or repair your boot drive at a later date, you can connect the external drive you just prepared and hold cmd-r while restarting computer in order to boot from the external Recovery HD.

  • I am trying re-install OS X Mountain Lion, but it is not locating my Apple HD

I am trying re-install OS X Mountain Lion, but it is not locating my Apple HD, once click on agree, which HD do want to install, its is not show the HD at all ?

    Is it a 15"?
If so, see this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4088
Print it out and take it and your Mac to an Apple store or a authorized service center. You may have a logic board problem, which probably has nothing to do with the current problem.
