I just upgraded from PE 7 to PE 12. Most of my editing options are grayed out. What's up with this?
Why are most of my editing options grayed out in PE 12? I am a painter and I need to crop and edit my paintings. Specifically, I need to distort them to bring them back into square. I know that has a technical name but don't know it.
What a weird thing that I had to be in "expert" mode. I'll never know why software manufacturers need to make things more complicated.

For no apparent reason, my browser suddenly crashed since I downloaded the 7.0 upgrade. Please follow the below mentioned steps to resolve the issue:
Quit and Relaunch CC app

Open the Adobe Creative Cloud application.
Mac OS: Go to the Applications folder and open the Adobe Creative Cloud alias.
Windows 7: Go to Start > All Programs > Adobe Creative Cloud
Windows 8: Open the Adobe Creative Cloud application from the Start Screen.
Click the Apps tab in the Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
Click on All Apps, then Previous Version
Your installed CC Product would be listed, Click on Install Drop-down and then select the CC 2014 to install.
After Successful Installation, Update your Product
Let me know if you are still not able to Update ACR.

I have just upgraded from CS 6 (Dreamweaver) and now when I click on a picture on a web page in Dreamweaver it doesn't go to the folder where the photo is stored anymore. If this continues I'll have to go back to CS 6 as I have to put in alot of photos.
I am using dw cc and I just double click picture I want to change in dreamweaver cc and my image folder opens, select new photo and then it updates and I am good to go, I am using a mac

I just upgraded from Logic Express to Pro. When I open a project in Finder and neither Express nor Pro are running, it always opens in Express. I now want projects to open in Pro. "Open With ..." says Express is the default. How can I make Pro the default instead?

I have just upgraded from Lightroom 5 standalone to Lightroom 6 standalone. I appear to have been automatically enrolled for a 30 day free trial of Lightroom Mobile and Creative Cloud. Reading the FAQ, it appears that after the expiry of the free trial, if I do not sign up and pay, I will only be able to view my pictures on the desktop but not edit them - surely this cannot be true. How do I un-enroll for the 30 day free trial of Lightroom Mobile and CC?
When I was signed into Adobe (which was a requirement for installing the upgrade), Lightroom 6 told my at the top right corner that I had 30 days left of my free trial of Lightroom Mobile and Creative Cloud. In parallel with this forum posting, I am chatting with Adobe support. he is away to find out how to prevent any synching with Creative Cloud during the 30 day free trial. I do not think that Creative Cloud is an application that gets installed on your PC. I think Lightroom 6 has it built in, and can use it if if you are signed up to the Creative Cloud and Lightroom Mobile (which I am for 30 days)

I recently upgraded my OS to Lion 10.7.4. I also just upgraded from a 1st Generation Time Capsule to a 4th Generation Time Capsule. I have an Airport Express (Version A1264) that I formerly used to extend my wireless network. Airport Express no longer connects to my network. I have downloaded Airport Utility 5.6 to try and configure, but with no luck.
TC first gen was not simultaneous dual band. So.. it's probably best to factory reset your extreme and then tell it to extend again.

Just upgraded from OS 10.3.9 to 10.4: Safari problems
I just upgraded from Mac OS 10.3.9 to Tiger 10.4; everything is working fine, except as follows:
1. Software Update does not work. It seems that it tries to connect to the Apple servers (I can see the router and modem lights blinking), but a connection does not take place (the lights blink a couple of times every few seconds).
2. Safari connects without any problems to this and other Apple Support forums, but not to any of the bookmarks in the Bookmarks menu.
Also, I believe that I may have caused the problem, and will give the details hoping that my problems with Safari may help others solve theirs. I may have made a mistake right after "upgrading" to OS 10.4, specifically after the required restart.
When my iMac G5 restarted, a registration form showed on the screen. The form was the data on my account. My account is not an Administrator account, but a "User" account instead. There was an option to change the account's "User's name," so I went ahead and slightly changed it by adding a "dot" to my first name initial (I don't use my first name, just my initial).

Right after making the change, I had the option to immediately connect to Apple and REGISTER, however, a connection could not be established or the computer was not responding, so I clicked on "Register Later" and quit.
Mail works fine, and so the DSL modem and router. I can access this forum, but Safari tries but can't to connect to other forums.
Do you think that by changing the User Account's name I may have screwed things up? I have tried MS's Explorer, but it too shows the same problems.
Any ideas on what to do at this point?Steven: I know that the problems I had with Safari is not similar to yours, but I ended erasing the hard drive and reinstalling Tiger four times (I have posted the full story in a couple of Apple forums).
On the pre-final try i removed the router from the computer and only used the DSL modem. However, I decided to use Safari between Software updates, and again Safari stopped working, as well as Software Update. I had removed every USB and Firewire cable, set-up the network to stay active without interruptions, set the computer to stay awake forever, the screen to stay awake for over three hours, and the hard drive to stay awake.
Then on the final erasing/installing, I made sure that I didn't use Safari until every little update was finished all the way to a complete Mac OS 10.4.2. Once that was accomplished I used Safari, and I have been using it since.
A friend of mine is upgrading the router's firmware, just in case that was par t of the problem, but I don't think it was, since the router was out of the picture on the pre-final session.
I believe that for some reason OS 10.4 screwed the Network panel functions. If you just look at the settings they seem to be OK, but not really. The problem may be related to the G5 CPU and how Mac OS 10.4 works with it. While I was having a myriad of network problems, I could connect to the Internet, retrieve my mail, etc. using my son's Mini, as well as an old Mac 7300. Both of these worked just fine connected to the network (router and DSL). Only my iMac G5 would not work. -

I have just upgraded from Elements/Premiere elements 11 to version 12. I am running on a PC with Windows 7. When I try to run video from the existing catalogue or video newly imported I get a window stating "....system does not have the required compressor/decompressor (codec) installed" Where has it gone? I just upgraded from my 2008 MacBook to a new Macbook Pro. How do I get my time capsule to work on my new MacBook? I did data migration, but the time capsule did not pick it up. Any ideas?
If you migrated all the info from time machine to your new MBP. The TM will usually ask to connect to the old backups.. sorry I am not sure is this what you want to do.. Personally I think you start a fresh backup.
BTW Time Capsule does not do anything.. it is a dumb hard disk in a box.. it is TM that does everything.

I have just upgraded from a Macbook to a Macbook Air. I have been using a iomega external hard drive for Time Machine, which use a Firewire. However, Macbook Air's do not have a Firewire port and i cannot find an adaptor anywhere. Can anyone help?? Thanks
There has never been a reliable firewire ---> USB adapter suitable for external high speed storage. This was a major issue when the MacBooks lost the firewire port a number of years ago (Apple subsequently brought it back).
The only high speed port on the Air is the ThunderBolt port. There are external ThunderBolt drive options out there, but they're somewhat more expensive than traditional USB/FireWire options. -
i just upgraded from snow leopard v10.6.8 to os x mountain lion and my scroll bar has disappeared on all my applications on the internet. does anyone know a patch to get the scroll bar to work.
Open General preferences in System Preferences. You can set the desired scrollbar behavior there.
