I keep getting a crash signature of js::Shape::trace(JSTracer*) but there is no explanation of what that is. What does it mean?
I keep getting FF 4 crashing with Win 7 with a signature of js::Shape::trace(JSTracer*). When go to "Search Mozilla Support for Help" it comes back with no answer available. What is it and how can I fix it.
I have checked the minutes of recent meetings at Mozilla, and they have identified the cause of that crash. The minutes state it will be fixed in Firefox 4.0.1
Pending the result of QA testing, Firefox 4.0.1 is due to be shipped on April 26th.

I keep getting this message " the maximum number of free accounts have been activated on this iPad " what does that mean and how can I fix it
It's a really bad idea to post your iPhone's serial number and I've asked the Hosts to remove it.
Any one device can create only three iCloud accounts. As you have apparently already created three accounts (or if it's a used phone the previous owner did) you cannot create any more one it. This is tied to the hardware, not the account, and there is no way round it.
You can create a new iCloud account on another iOS device or on a Mac, and then you will be able to sign into that on your iPhone. -
I am getting an R6034 error when I attempt to download the latest version of iTunes. What does this mean?
Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

I am trying to finalize a project in iMovie but it keeps telling me that there is an error (-108). Can anyone tell me what this is and how I could fix it?
r0b0c0pHi
Error -108 memFullErr Ran out of memory [not enough room in heap zone]
Turn off - TimeMachine usually works - re-try.
(the Application down in the Dock - not the Device)
But this can mean many thing's - My first thought is
• Free Space on Start-Up hard disk. How much ? (other disks do not count)

When I synch my ipod touch I get the following message "The Ipod touch cannot be synced. The required file cannot be found". Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it? this error occurs at the point it is syncing the photos - all other things seem to be syncing fine.
Hello sanbrunostew,
Try trashing your iPod's Photo Cache. See this article for information on where to find your iPod's Photo Cache.

About a month ago my fan started making a weird clicking/whirring noise. It eventually stopped and I thought nothing of it (this might be unrelated, but I just want you all to have as much info as possible).
Then, yesterday, my Mac was acting funny. I was trying to watch netflix and whenever I clicked on a video, BAM the whole screen went black and the sound stopped. But the keyboard stayed lit. The only way to rouse the computer out of this state was to hard shut it off (ten seconds on the power button), and then turn it back on. Except, sometimes when I turned it back on, the screen would go white and play the mac startup musc and then immediately go black again. It was really weird and took me 2-3 times to be successful with even booting up the computer.
I ran a hardware check and it said nothing was wrong. I tried to reinstall the OS but when I entered recovery mode, the internet just wouldn't work. Like... the wi fi found no networks, even though I'm sitting in the exact same spot I was in yesterdat with the entire wi-fi wave filled and it's totally fine.
I don't know what this means. I'm planning on taking my mac in tomorrow, but I was wondering if you guys could help save me some time.

Also really quickly: I don't know where to put this, but the first time my computer reset, the desktop wallpaper turned back to the wallpaper I had before the one I currently have selected. That was really weird/random. Thoughts? It looks as if there's a problem with your GPU. With a Retina machine, that would mean replacement of just about everything, except, perhaps, the flash storage drive.
Print you kernel panic when you go to your Apple Store appointment. I'm betting that it's a faulty GPU but they will be able to diagnose exactly where the problem lies.
Good luck,

You can upgrade to Mavericks free, just run the App Store program and search for Mavericks. But before you do upgrade I recommend the following:
1) make sure you have a recent backup. TimeMachine is fine.
2) Mavericks is somewhat more memory hungry than 10.7 was. You will need 4 GB of RAM and I strongly recommend 8 GB.
Go back to the Apple menu and select About this Mac - look under the OS info you just looked at. You'll see how much RAM your computer has now. Then click on the More Info button. There you will see your computer info listed as in: iMac, 21.5" mid 2010, for example. Return back with that information and we can tell you how far the computer can be upgraded.
If you decide to procede and you have enough RAM upgrading to Mavericks is quite simple. Click on the download button and let it do its job. -

I can't open Firefox. The home page doesn't come up, I just keep getting the Crash Reporter asking me to restart/quit but every time I do this the same message comes back. I've not been able to use Firefox for days now.
Since a few days we have a lot of crashes with [http://www.trusteer.com/product/trusteer-rapport Trusteer Rapport]. If you have this program, try to disable it and see if that stops the crashing.<br>
You can stop Rapport using Start Menu > Programs > Trusteer Rapport > Stop Rapport<br>
You can ask their helpdesk when an updated version of their product will be made available or, if you don't need this software, uninstall it.<br>

If you do not have Rapport, then we need to have a crash report ID. When you send Mozilla a crash report it just puts it in a giant database. We have no way of looking it up without the Report ID. The recommendation on here, mostly, is to only buy RAM from macsales.com or crucial.com as they guarantee their modules will work and offer a no quibble lifetime guarantee.
I'd put the original RAM back in, return the Corsair chips for a refund and re-order from one of those two companies.

I'm trying to download my Master CS6 onto a new hard drive because my old one crashed and I keep getting a message saying " Cannot write the file" or "I don't have permission to access the requested resource." ? What does this mean?
Yes- it is a Mac. I went through adobes system requirements and re- downloaded supportive software. The notice seems to happen near the end of the down load with the messages above. I'll look into your suggestion. Thank you- appreciated.

Keep getting hardisk crash messages at startup
keep getting hardisk crash messages when i startup. have run software programs which do not seem to indicate problems once I have logged in
WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM
MESSAGE COMES UP WHEN TURNING ON COMPUTER (PRIOR TO WINDOWS LOADING)
RUN DIAGNOSTICS SUCH AS CHECKDRIVE 2012, PC HEALTH BOOST, PC HEALTH ADVISOR
SMART Hard Disk Error
The SMART Hard disk check has detected an imminent failure. To ensure not data loss, please backup the content immediately and run the Hard Disk Test in System Diagnostics
Hard Disk 1 (301)
F2 System Diagnostics
Enter - Continue Startup
For more information please visit www.hp.com/go/techcenter/startup
At present, system seems to be loading and running programs OK after Enter gets to Windows login. Using System Diagnostics (F2) route starts Hard Disk checks but they never seem to finish (bogus ?)
Not sure if I have a real problem or not as the diagnostic programs that I have installed/run seem to indicate no problem -
Initially iTunes would not run although it had been running quite well up until now. Suddenly received this error on PC start-up "The program can't start because MSVC80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Research on Net pointed me to iTunes as the issue. Tried to start iTunes and received that message again. Tried installing latest version of 64-bit iTunes and received the subject message part way through the install: Trying to install latest iTunes for Windows 7 64-bit. Keep getting this error message "Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
iTunes has been running great on this PC for years. What's up?
