I'm new to this. What's this header for?

Reader XI messes up PDF of Excel table. If I could learn the conversion rules maybe I could work around the problem. Otherwise the need for excessive trial and error would convince me to abandon XI. Does anyone know the conversion rules or how to get them?

Reader does not convert Excel files to PDF at all, unless you have a subscription for PDF Pack.

You've just created an anonymous inner class new MouseAdapter. "this" now points to an instance of MouseAdapter and not Frame as you think.

I talked with a tech today and he said I cloud is having problems which should be resolved shortly.
In the mean time I used the .me smtp server settings which allowed me to send mail.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
When you turn on the new iMac for the first time, Setup Assistant will ask you to restore a backup, so connect the external disk and follow steps to restore all your files to your new iMac. Your new Mac will have the same settings and programs as your old computer.
In other cases, I would recommend to restore the whole backup without using Migration Assistant or Setup Assistant, but a Late 2012 iMac uses a special OS X build, so the OS X version that you're using on your old Mac won't work on the new one. If it's an Intel Mac, you can upgrade it to Mac OS X 10.6.8.
If it's a PowerPC Mac, you need to use these instructions and/or iTunes Match to put content on the iPad.

you are correct. The Custom HTML Store that we have developed worked just fine. What about Custom HTML Libraries?
I compared the file AdobeLibraryAPI.js from r23 and r25 and they are quite different.
Up to r24, the Custom HTML Library was incompatible with Custom HTML Store. Apparently, the Store API (adobe.dps.store) was replaced by the Library API (adobeDPS.libraryService). Can you confirm if this is still the case?
Also, I really need a way to switch from one application state to another, something like adobe.dps.store.goToLibrary() or adobe.dps.store.goTo('library'). Is there anyway to achieve this? Maybe using the Library API?

I really need this issue resolved it is driving me insane!!! How can the images appear perfectly fine on my laptop then when transferring over to a USB stick they just corrupt!?

You need a computer with iTunes and an internet connection

- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

I have a fairly new mac book pro with retina display- I have not tried installing anything other OS on it. In spite of that yesterday when I turned it on, I got the error: no bootable device insert boot disk and press any key. what is the reason for this?

I swithced it on by clicking on options when I start up and then clicked on Macintosh HD. the other option was a question mark and network drive.
Is there a way to ensure it never happens again, what is the cause for this problem, if I need to uninstall some application, i am happy to do it as long as I know what is causing this conflict.

Something is not making sense here.
You claim this is a brand new machine and you have not tried to install Windows or Boot Camp.
Then why would you ever even go into System Preferences > Startup Disk and choose Macintosh HD? It should have automatically booted into Macintosh HD.
You're probably going to have to reinstall Mac OS X.

Open iPhoto, select a couple of photos and use the Share ➙ iWeb ➙ Photo page menu option. That has jump started iWeb for others. I could take a couple of tries.
If that doesn't work try the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iiWeb.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iWeb's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder.
