I need to display more than 5000 rows by JClient JUtableBinding

I need to display more than 5000 rows by JClient JUtableBinding. is it possible not to get PassivationError and display it?

FYI,
In a future release, BC4J will also allow VOs that use oracle-database ROWNUM features to fetch only a range full of rows rather than the entire set of rows. For queries that return thousands of rows and you want to display them in a table or pages, this option on the VO should come in handy.

  • Issue on Dashboard 4.1 Export as .SWF file while retrieving more than 5000 rows.

    Hi Experts,
        We  have a BO Dashboard (version 4.1) that displays the treasury information on cash flows across various countries and regions.
         The dashboard is built on Universe and  has large number of components (like filter, aggregation, glow region) with some third party Centigon add on for Google Maps. - GMaps Plugin for SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards provides an interactive map design solution for enterprise dashboards components).
         When trying to add more source content to the existing dashboard (and exceeding more than 5000 rows ) and trying to export the dashboard as .SWF file , we are getting a run-time error as below.
         But when we minimize the number of rows manually in data mapping (<=4500 rows) we are able to export the .SWF file.
          Seriously couldn't arrive at any conclusion or it is a tool limitation.
         Please help us in this issue.

    I partially agree with you, When I say condition I was talking about LOAD when clause in ACCESS PARAMETERS not where condition of select clause
    When you use load condition with a byte range is checked before parsing the row , So to skip a row you can use something like this (seee example below)
    CREATE TABLE ext_employees
    (employee_id NUMBER(4),
    first_name VARCHAR2(20),
    last_name VARCHAR2(25),
    job_id VARCHAR2(10),
    manager_id NUMBER(4),
    salary NUMBER(8,2),
    commission_pct NUMBER(2,2),
    department_id NUMBER(4),
    email VARCHAR2(25)
    ORGANIZATION EXTERNAL
    TYPE ORACLE_LOADER
    DEFAULT DIRECTORY ext_dir1
    ACCESS PARAMETERS
    records delimited by newline
    LOAD WHEN ( 1:5) != '*****'
    badfile ext_bad_dir:'empxt%a_%p.bad'
    logfile ext_log_dir:'empxt%a_%p.log'
    fields terminated by ','
    missing field values are null
    ( employee_id, first_name, last_name, job_id, manager_id,
    salary, commission_pct, department_id, email
    LOCATION ('empext.dat')
    REJECT LIMIT UNLIMITED
    This may solve his problem

  • How to display more than 10 rows in an Auto Updating Report

    I followed Carl Backstorm's example, http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11933:40:525653462286833::NO:RP:: to create a page with an auto update report/region. It's working fine (thanks, Carl) but I can't have the report display all rows (38 rows in total). Everytime I press the "Manual Refresh" button, it shows 10 (the first 10) rows only.
    When the report displays at the first time, it shows all the rows (38 rows). Number of Rows and Maximum Row Count are set to 999999 and "No Pagination Selected" in the report region. But after I press the "Manual Refresh" button or specifiy an update time value (like 1 second) to have it auto update, then it only display the first 10 rows.
    Is there a way to display more than 10 rows in an Auto Updating Report using Carl's example auto update report/page? Anyone can help? Thank you.

    Yes, I changed it to:
    function table_object(pId){
         this.id = pId;
         this.start_record = 1;          //optional
         this.num_record = 50; //optional
         this.num_record2 = 50;          //optional
    I don't quite understand how these vaiables are used for though. Thanks.

    Hi Experts,
    Is that possible to display more than 200 rows in a Table.
    when i query from table, it has 1000 rows, i want to display all the 1000 rows in the Table.
    when i query, the values are displaying up to 201 rows only,
    when i click next on 200 - 201 it throws Exception says
    *"Query has exceeded 200 rows. Potentially more rows exist, please restrict your query."*
    let me know how to display all the 1000 rows in a table without Exception.
    Any idea will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    The number of rows retrieved is controlled by profile option "FND: View Object Max Fetch Size". I believe 200 is the default value. Pl see these MOS Docs

  • Requirement to display more than 65K rows of data

    Has anyone addressed the issue of Excel not being able to provide more than 65K rows of data with the users? I am working with users whom are concerned about Excel not being able to provide more than 65K rows of data.
    Why would you use BI reporting to report on data more than 65K rows of data. Has anyone designed any reports with more than 65K rows of data. I would imagine that BI reporting is for summarization and it is an on line analytical tool and not a data producing or recording tool.
    Is there a work around if the requirement is to display more than 65K rows of data? Has anyone been asked to do this kind of reporting?

    Could you please explain what CRM version you are using. In CRM 5.0 you can find the following entries,
    a)Choose the default entry in the Show dropdown
    b)Always Use Unformatted List Format (CSV) for Download
    c)Specify Maximum Number of Search Results
    d)Number of Entries per Page of a Result List
    So u can change the number of entries per page of the result list.

  • Update columns in Table A based on columns in Table B for more than 500K rows

    Guys,
    I need to update 9 columns in table A based on value from table B for for more than 500K rows.
    So what is best way to achieve this. I am thinking of writing a Procedure with cursor to update the rows of table A.
    When i googled about it, they say cursor will decrease the performance. So i have no clue how to go for this.
    Rough code which i though
    1) Procedure  with no parameter
    2) Will declare 9 variable to store value from cursor
    3) cursor will fetch row by row based on join condition between table a and table b
    4) i will pass column values from table B to variables
    5) will make an update statement for table A
    Please let me know if above method is correct or is there any other way to do this without using cursor.

    Guys,
    Below is the rough code i wrote as per my requirement. Does it look correct? As of now i dont have any platform to test it so any help with the below code is highly appreciated.  As i said i need to update more than 500K rows by matching Table
    A and Table B.  One more thing which i would like to add in below code, is to get log of all the rows that are in table B but not exist in table A.  Table A already has more than million data in it.
    Also not sure how the loop in below code willl run when @rowcount is become to zero?
    Please let me know if i need to consider performance related impact while running the script.

    Hi Atish,
            Thanks for your reply. i dont have data in two levels for Hierarchial-sequential ALV. Data is just one row. But field headings(fieldcatalogue in alv) will have two rows. That means one row of main headings and second row with detailed fields. One main heading may have more than one subheading. ultimately we display values for Subheading fields.
    hope you have understood the requirement.
    Thanks
