I need to get the position of scrollBar in JScrollPane

I have two JTables pleaced in JScrollPanes. User can drag a cell from the first table and drop it on the second. I catch selected row nr in the first tible when dragging starts (using rowAtPoint(e.getPoint())) and when user releases mouse I need to calculate the position on the second table.
Everything works great but if scrollBar in the first table is scrolled down I have a position of pointWhereMouseIsReleased == pointOnScreen+positionOfScrollBar
All I need to get is the position of the scroll bar. I tried to use getValue() and so on but it didn't work.
Any sugestions?

((JViewport)table.getParent()).getViewPosition()will give you the position of the upper-left-hand corner of the viewport, in your JTable's coordinate system. Is that what you need?

Many thanks, that goes some way to explain it.
However I am creating a composition adding text layers to it and animating the positions of the individual text layers. Then I create a second composition and include the first as a nested composition and I animate the position of the first composition within the second composition.
When I run my plugin I only see the animations I added to the individual text layers, they are not combined with the overall animation attached to the first compisition within the second composition. The animation data for the first composition must be stored somewhere. Do you know where ?
I have been looking at source items and markers neither seem to provide the information I am interested in. Any clues would be very helpful.

I'll explain more in detail:
From a web-service I get a variable called @Spec.
This variable contains the following:
"MOTORTYPE[CR]D-QW1234[LF]PART[CR]1234-FRD-X[LF]"
or
"MOTORTYPE[CR]ABC[LF]PART[CR]E-435[LF]"
I need the values behind MOTORTYPE[CR] and behind PART[CR]
But youll see that the positions of these values are different each time.
If there is a way to get the (start) position of "MOTORTYPE[CR]" or "PART[CR]" and the (end) position of the first "[LF]" behind that,
then I could use the MID() function to get the correct values.
The values will be displayed in a table view (between other fields).
An ABAP-call/function wont work . . . how should I invoke this within a table column/field object ? (system action ?)

A menubar is not a general component that is added to a frame like any another. It is the specific responsibility of the setMenuBar/setJMenuBar methods to deal with this.

How to get the position of the stem in control valve using slider control in the front panel

I have created a calibration program for a control valve. Signal (4-20mA) is generated from labview using slider contorl which is given to the valve via DAQ(module 9265) and again the feedback signal from the valve is acquired using DAQ(module 9203).. . There is an input ISO/ISC(Increasing signal to open/ Increasing signal to close) in the front panel.
ISO would set the output to increase from (4-20)mA further opening the valve

To the the location of a JComponent in it's parent... just use the getLocation method on the JComponent.
If you need that point relative to some other ancestor, I would use SwingUtilities.convertPoint

Getting the position of a component in a container for repainting

This may be a stupid question but, I want to get the position of a custom component as it lays in a JFrame. This is needed for a repaint of the special component. getX() and getY() return the origin of the component as it is painted in paintComponent(). How might this be done without messy parameters to an overridden repaint method?
I need the position so that I can cut out a portion of an underlying background image in the JFrame, so that I can repaint the component's text without clearing away the image or painting over it with a color. If anyone has a better idea, I'm all ears. . .

as a near solution to my problem, I have created the following method to locate the exact origin of the custom component:

The iphone is not a storage/backup device. The picture sycn is one way - computer to iphone. The photos are also reduced in size when synced to iphone so they are not of the original quality
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup of your computer.
Have you failed to do this?
If so, not good at all, you can e-mail the pics to yourself - keep in mind they will never be of the original quality

@Barbara – What purpose is that PDF for? Print? Web?
If web purpose, you could convert CMYK images to sRGB. That would reduce the file size as well.
A final resort to bring down file size is:
1. Print to PostScript
2. Distill to PDF
That would bring file size down even more. About 20%, depending on the images and other contents you are using, compared with the Acrobat Pro method. If you like you could send me a personal message, so we could exchange mail addresses. I could test for you. Just provide the highres PDF without any downsampling and transparency intact. Best provide a PDF/X-4.
I will place the PDF in InDesign, print to PostScript, distill to PDF.

Need to get the Mail attachment name as it is to the receiver file adapter

I am doing a Mail to File scenario. I need to get the attachment from the mail and store it on the file server. I am using the PayloadSwap bean in the sender mail adapter. My requirement is to carry forward the attachement name as it is to the receiver file adapter side and store the file with the same name.
Did any one try doing this? I was looking at developing an adapter module but got struck as I could not find whether the attachement name is stored in the XI payload after it has got swapped using the swap bean.
Any help would be appreciated.
