I need to keep track of books

I'm thinking of switching to the iphone, but it all hinges on this. Does anyone know of an app that will keep track of all my books? I need to keep the name of the book, the author, the ISBN, etc. I've done a search, looked around but haven't found anything. Any help would be appreciated.

Is there an online site that would allow you to store that info? If so, you could access it from Safari on your iPhone.
If you can store it in Excel or Word, you can access it from your iPhone.

I have a requirement. I need to keep track the last prompted value.
Like, If we have run a report for '01-01-2013' date and 'Sony' Category. If the same report I will run in next time the report should run with those default value ('01-01-2013' date and 'Sony' Category). That means default value of a dashboard prompt should be the last prompted value.

Need to Keep Track of Remote Dynamic IP Address for VNC Suggestions?

So I need a method to keep track of my airport extremes IP address since I have a desktop not in reach I need to access daily and I'm worried that it might change of course, I know windows has IP Mailer that will send out new IP Addresses but I don't know of anything for mac. I can't get to the computer so I need a solution that doesn't require restarting the router : /. If anyone has a suggestion I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

Need to keep track of URL and a count variable

Can anyone suggest the best way to keep track of a URL and a count variable associated with each URL. I have started using 2 List objects. When I add a URL I also add a 1 in the count List Object. I am using List Objects because I must be able to sort them and search through them.
Can anyone verify that I am going about this the correct way?

I can't find the tether usage indicator since I upgraded to iso7. I need to keep track of my tether data. Where is it?

I already tried going to settings>cellular but all that shows is the total data usage. It doesn't break it down between the total amount of data and total amount of tethering like the old operating system did. Any other suggestions.

Do I Need to Keep Track Of Cache/Transcoding Files?

Just wondering if Encore builds up a bunch of files after projects, such as transcoded stuff, etc., etc., that I would want to clean up periodically? I don't see an appropriate item in the Preferences list, as Premiere Pro has. The only one is a Media Cache, which seems to only be for graphical components for menus.

the media cache contains items that are imported via Dynamic Link and shared between After Effects, Premiere Pro and Encore. The rest ends up in your project directory.

Keeping track of rows already selected

Hi. I'm somewhat a T-SQL noob. The answer to my question may be obvious, but I just want to see if I have any options. I need to scan a table for rows where a column contains a certain value, and then send an email
to notify users of the resultset. I'll run that scan say hourly. The table I'm scanning is in a vendor-owned database that I can't modify. So I guess I need to keep track of previously selected rows so I don't keep notifying
users of the same resultset, and store those in a persistent table in a separate utility database. Right so far? Thanks for helping me get started.

Ok, so what you'll want to do then is just select rows that have been edited in the last hour:
SELECT *
FROM myTable
WHERE last_updated_on >= DATEADD(HOUR,-1,CURRENT_TIMESTAMP)
And you'll only get the rows that have been updated in the last hour :)

As can be seen from the above code, Object methodResult = method.invoke(object, args);
the method invocation will take a long time!
How do I write a wrapper class to keep track of the status of the method invocation that can be check by the client? I am thinking of using a url to keep track of method invocation so that the client can continously poll the wrapper object to check if the method invocation has finished.
Can anyone change my code and give advice?

I am not using Java threads at all.
I just need to keep track of the status of the method invocation and report to the client.
Sometimes, the method invocation can take ages so it is not acceptable for the client to invoke a method and wait a long time without any response: but in fact the server is still in the process of executing the method.
Please advice.

Unfortunately Rob, I wouldnt be able to do that because I am using a web development tool called Asp.net which is linked to our oracle database and from the web development tool, users are able to login into the application I am designing and based on their login creditials, they are able to carryout tasks like deletions, insertions, etc. Now I am able to get the user name and info directly from the web development and able to pass it into my deletion procedure. See procedure below

Keep track of reference of a row added to Jtable

I need to keep track of reference of a row which is being added in JTable.
Let suppose that I adds a row in JTable based on an object (instantiated of a class say FileUploader class). Now I adds a row whenever FileUploader class is being instantiated. The FileUploader Class is responsible to upload a file.
1) Now suppose that there are 100 rows (of course based on 100 object of FileUploader class).
2) User can remove single or multiple row (by means of cancel the process of upload or clear the row in the JTable for which file has successfully uploaded).
3) I need to update a particular cell of JTable based on the status of a particular object of class FileUploader.
One way of doing this is by using for loop on whole table to find out the corresponding row (based on some key taken from table). But this will make the application very slow.
So, to do this, I need to have the reference of the row when it is being added in the JTable.
How can I make it working? Please suggest.

You are right that iterating over 100 times is not slow. But what will happen if there are 10000 rows.
I am new to JTable. In my application, when user drag and drop some files / folder, a row is being added in the JTable to show the status of process (pending, ProgressBar, Completed or Error in one cell based on the current status of file / folder ) along with some more info in other cell ( like fileName, FromDir, ToDir, Size, and a hyperlink type text for action - clear, cancel, retry).
Now FileUploader is an class which is responsible for uploading (it has a method upload() in it which is called by a daemon thread).
So to update a particular cell (in which pending / ProgressBar/ etc is shown), I need to find the particular row which is showing the status of a file / folder.
How can I do it (without iterating over these no. of times again and again).
Is there any better approach to do this.

Why do my songs and audio books keep getting erased when I add a new book? Now some books will not play and the iPod does not keep track of where I was when I pause a book, leave for music and then go back!

About a month ago I added some new audio books to my iPod Classic and then after disconnecting, I discovered EVERYTHING had been erased.
I had to restore through my iTunes but then I could not load my music back on.
I uninstalled / reinstalled iTunes and completely reformated the iPod drive.
I successfully got my music and books back on but then added a new book two days ago only to discover everything got erased AGAIN!!!
Of course, my 1 Year Warranty was up about a week before the first incident.....
I formatted the iPod again, uninstalled / reinstalled iTunes (it was freezing during sync) and downloaded all my music and books again.
Now I have several books that will not play (they play on iTunes and they played on the iPod before all these events) and the iPod does not keep track of where I was in a book when I have to stop and go to something else.
Does anyone know what is going on with this thing??? I have a 5th Gen Video and in all the years I've had it, I've NEVER had problems like this!
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get my iPod Classic up and running properly again?

When iTunes/iPod sync process failed due to timeout, the iPod, has only the initilaised filesytem structure at the start of the Sync.
The timeout failure could be due to
Bad hardisk - do the iPod disk diagnostic, refer to this excellent post by tt2
Slow USB port or resource - Dont use any USB hub, disconnect all other USB devices while syncing
Timeout due to Antivirus or other plugins - disconnect from Internet and stop the Antivirus or monitoribng software if you are syncing.
Preferably stop doing other things while syncing this ancient device, which the latest iTunes designer, think will soon be extinct.
