I/O count for multipath device on each path
Hi,
I am using MPxIO (Bundled multipath) in my Solaris 10 (SPARC) setup for LDEVs from a Hitachi storage (USP-V), each LDEV is being accessed using two paths from the server. I want to verify the I/O count on each of the paths for LDEVs any idea what OS command I may use to verify this.

iostat -Y <device Name> - does show the I/O count for all available paths. E.g.:

It seems iostat -Y <Dev Name> detects only WRITE I/O and doesn't detect READ I/O for my case not sure if that works for others.
You are correct I can see the traffic in Hitachi storage but I wanted to check from the OS, thank you for your help.

Which Solaris 10 release is this?
I found a very old bug that says this problem is already fixed in Solaris 10 although the bug description says
its mostly seen on Solaris 8 and 9.

The bug says that these errors are displayed when StorADE 2.1 is running its rasagent cron job, which executes a luxadm display.
This process runs in the background so the user is not aware that another luxadm display process is running.
Work-around: Do not run Storade rasagent cron job at same time as another luxadm display process.
I hope this might help to debug this problem but I puzzled why this might be happening if its already fixed.
Let me know if the workaround helps or so I can follow-up with the right support team.

We have just moved from MobileMe, where we had a 'Family account' (and we each have our own @me.com email addresses) to iCloud. We share the Cal and Contacts on our iMac. How do we sync to multiple devices - we each have an iPad and an iPhone, but with different accounts set up for mail. Mine syncs OK to Cal and Contacts, but hers doesn't. There must be a way! Please help.
According the this: http://www.apple.com/mobileme/transition.html, "After moving to iCloud, family member accounts are no longer linked to the master account." You can share an iCloud calendar (see http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2690), but I don't think you will be able to share iCloud contacts unless you are signed into the same iCloud account on both phones.

Please help!! I have iPhone 4 so does my wife, we each have our own apple id's for these devices. We have just got an ipad to share for at home use. Is there a way to have both our id's on the ipad to share our music photos etc?

I have 2 iphones4! Do I have to create one apple id for each device or I can have both in one apple id? I'm asking cause I'm trying to run findmyiphone app for both devices!
Here's what I do. My wife and I each have an iPhone. We each have our own Apple ID. I also have another totally separate Apple ID. The ONLY thing that one has been used for was to set up Find my iPhone for our phones and my iPad. There is no reason the MobileMe setting for find my iphone can't be something completely different from your regular Apple ID UNLESS you already use MobileMe, in which case the 2 conflict in ways I don't understand as I don't subscribe to it.

I see people from different ages at my work and every month I need to count how many people from each age I've seen that month. How can I do to give the entries to numbers in a single cell and make numbers count them for me? The final result would be a spreadsheet telling there were 8 people from 20 to 39 years old, 14 peolple from 40 to 59 and so on...

C2 (and filled right to column D, then both filled down to row 5):
=COUNTIFS(Data :: $A,"<="&$B,Data :: B,TRUE)-SUM(C$1:C1)
Two changes from the previous example:
COUNTIFS is used to separate the Native and Foreign counts as well as the age range to be counted.
The amount subtracted from each result is the SUM of the earlier results, and includes the text value in the first cell of the column (which is interpreted by SUM as a zero).
See note below regarding my earlier formula.
When the greyed columns are hidden and the checkbox in the Reorganize pane is checked, the two tables will appear as shown below:
Close the reorganize pane, and the 'data entry form' is ready to use.
To use, enter the age first, then check one of the boxes.
As soon as one box is checked, the row will be hidden, and the next (unused) row will be shown.

The earlier formula will give erroneous results as it subtracts only the count directly above it from its count of persons in the age range 0-n.
In E2 of that table, replace "-E1" with "-SUM(E1:E$1)
Fill down to E8.
Ignore the instructions (in that post) following "Fill down to E8."

I have managed to program a NI 6602 card in LabView to send pulses on three different output ports, one pulse on each output port (with individually chosen delays) for each input trigger pulse coming on a separate input port. It is the DAQmx Create Channel (CO-Pulse Generation-Time)-VI that I have used for this, see attached code. However, this VI controls both pulse delay and pulse width, and therefore uses two counters for each output port (although you only specify one counter in the VI input signals), as I understand.
In my application though, I only need to have the delay chosen, the pulse width can be arbitrarily short, and thus I should only need one counter for each output port. How do I accomplish to program this in LabView?

However, personally I really don't like putting multiple counter outputs in the same task. I have seen so many people assume that the counter outputs would be synchronized due to having them in the same task when this is not the case (you need to configure a start trigger in order to synchronize the counter outputs even if they are in the same task). This is the only case I can think of where multiple channels in a DAQmx task are not automatically synchronized.
As an example:
Running this on my PCIe X Series gives a measured 2 edge separation of 1 ms + {7.78 us - 10.11 us}. This would likely be much worse on a bus with more latency (e.g. USB).
The resulting output is close enough to what you might expect that it might go unnoticed, but really these counter outputs are not synchronized and it would be easy to glance at the code and not even think twice about it. For the small amount of extra work on my end to create a separate task for each counter, it really clears up some ambiguity about what the counters are actually doing. For me it's worth it.
So again, for your case there really isn't a problem with having the counters in the same task since you are using an external start trigger anyway. I have just gotten in the habit of avoiding doing this.

For sorting you can use standard ALV sorting functionality. (Pass the parameter it_sort by filling the sort field name and sort order like up or down(Either one).
For count you need to keep explicit logic.
Sample code.
SORT i_final BY field1. "Your count field criteria.
LOOP AT i_final INTO wa_final.
ADD 1 TO l_count.
AT END OF field1.
MOVE l_count TO wa_final-count.
MODIFY i_final FROM wa_final WHERE field1 = wa_final-field1 TRANSPORTING count.
CLEAR l_count.
ENDON.
ENDLOOP.
Make sure that your count based field is the first field in itab. For displaying the output you can adjust the fieldcat.

There are tables(and columns) like:

I have problem with writing MS SQL query of this kind:
how many visits to houses did each client, before renting one of them?
Its easy to count total number of Visits for each client, listing all visits + group by clientID and selecting count(*) for each group.
Lets say this is select_1, and select_2 is listing all Contracts for all clients.
Select_1 is not answer, because count must be performed only on groups, which:
-have at least 1 row "like" row in select_2 (it means that at least one of visited houses was rented, because it can happen that client visited few houses, but rented other, not visited house). my idea for this is comparing select_1 and select_2 with:
"where s1.clientID=s2.clientID and s1.houseID=s2.houseID"
-each group must have all rows(visits) with date of same day or earlier than contract date

To show item counts on a list, you might need to query the list by title in the navigation menu and retrieve item count in the list, then use CSS to add the number to navigation menu. You need to use Client Object Model and JQuery.

I am doing a report in ORACLE REPORT WRITER. How can I get counts for each SSN. I want to check the last 7 SSNS
and if the competence codes are different get a count for them. If the fitness codes are different get a count for them. This is for each SSN. Sometimes SSNS may have different competence codes but the fitness codes are the same. I still need counts for the competence codes. Other times the SSNS have different fitness codes but the competence codes are the same and I need counts for the fitness codes. Other times the fitness codes are different and the competence codes are different and I need counts for the fitness codes and counts for the competence codes. Here is a sample of what the report should look like:

I have everything wrapped up under one count. I don't know to change the query to display 2 separate counts.
I have used Summary Columns but that does not work.
I could use 2 separate querys and get counts for competence and fitness respectively but the SSNS would be out of order. The SSNS must be in order.

Help in finding the total count for each month
Hello everyone,
Sometime back I had posted about the date function. I have that problem solved now my problem is that after finding all records which against each record I need to find the total count for that month if no records than I have to set it to a 0.
Here is how my program has been written.
PROCEDURE extract_materials

CURSOR xyz

FOR xyz1 IN xyz LOOP
-- once inside the loop for each of the record from
the cursor I need to find a total count for that record for everymonth in the year.
All these records will be instered in to a staging table

You need to do an outer join to a select from any big table with a function involving rownum and add_months to generate all the possible months. However, its time to go home and I can't be bothered to work out the finer details. -

My Deployed To count for device licensing says 22, but I've only deployed it to 6 machines. Is there a way to see what computers Adobe thinks are using licenses?
