I purchased a ringtone FROM my iphone. The purshcase appears in "Music" on my phone; but how do I set it as a Ringtone?

grrrr...if anybody has figured this out, I'd love to hear what you did. I have the same problem. I can't set a ringtone that has downloaded to my music library as a ringtone. Is this a secret? I've read everything I can in the manual. The only thing I saw was ringtones are located in your music library.

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

When you connect the iPad to the computer can you see any apps in the apps list at all in iTunes?
Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Apps Tab on the right.
Do you see apps in that apps list? If you do, click on all of the apps that you want to sync.
Click on the Sync Apps Heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes

I want to transfer new content from iTunes to my iPhone without losing what is already on the phone. On the old iTunes I could drag and drop only the items I wanted on the phone. On this new version, all I can figure out to do is sync, which is going to remove the songs that are already on the phone. There has to be another way.

The film would have to be in itunes on your computer.
You would sync it like you do everything else.

My iphone wont let me play songs that I bought from iTunes. It says "The requested URL was not found on this server" How can i play my music also my music videos again?

I bought a few songs and music videos from iTunes, then all of a sudden it wouldn't play and would just skip to the next song. With the music videos it would do the same. Also, this message would show up " The Requested URL could not be found on this server" What does that exactly mean? And what do I need to do to play my music/videos again?

When downloading updates from iTunes to my iPhone my playlists appear in reverse order with least played at the top. I just want the playlist to appear in the same order as my iTunes library. This seems to have changed after downloading iCloud

Is this temporary cache accessing my data when I play songs from it? As I mentioned in my previous post, I'm still able to listen to these songs even when my phone is in airplane mode and the download icon is still present next to said songs. This implies that the songs are already downloaded onto my phone even if I didn't opt to download them directly from the cloud -- they're on my phone because my phone was shuffling my library on a wifi network.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Once it finishes, you can go back into iTunes and unselect sync music, resync the phone and it will remove the music. You can then select certain tracks or playlists if you want. How do I select a ringtone I have purchased from iTunes on my iPhone?

I've tried both methods. I once purchased a ringtone on my laptop, and was not able to get it onto my phone. I saw the folder on my laptop, but it didn't transfer the ringtone to my phone.
I thought I could purchase a ringtone from iTunes directly on my iPhone, but it didn't work. The ringtone I bought IS there in the More folder under the Download folder, but all I can do is play it and hear it. Tones is the new name for Ringtones. If the entry is missing in the left-hand column of iTunes then enable it from Edit > Preferences > General tab.
If your existing tones are not syncing properly to your iOS device then uncheck the option to Sync Tones from the Tones tab when the device is connected, sync the device, check the option and sync again.
