I recently downloaded itune 10.5.2 (11) when I run it the blue pane on the left does not exist, the one that shows your playlists, purchased music etc.

I was recently prompted to download the newest version of itunes. I downloaded it and it actually says its 10.5.2 (11). Regardless of the version once downloaded I opened it to use it and the blue pane on the left that contained the original playlists, purchased items etc is non existent. Does anyone know if I am missing a setting or display set up or is it a biger problem?

I have recently downloaded Adobe Reader 10.0 but when in firefox on the internet I want to open a PDF file on Company Announcements from Sydney Morning Herald Share Market news all I get is a black screen - why?

Previously when I had Adobe Acrobat 8 on my computer when I clicked on the PDF file on the Stock Exchange through Firefox It would immediately open the file. I have tried to reload the earlier version of Adobe Acrobat but it they will not allow me to do so.

If anyone is reading this still looking for what caused the issue and how to fix it here is what I discovered.
The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem.

I read all the community posts and followed the suggested fixes including numerous uninstalls and installs, clearing cache, choosing various SSL TL options, turning off all spyware and nothing has worked. Not difficult at all but iTunes is meant to be very simple to use. No one would know how to sync their music if the default was to not sync it.
many people will have an ipod that hoops up to itunes for first time and then will sync up and lose all songs

Wait until you reach 5 computers limit then use Deauthorize All and Re-authorize the active ones. Bare in mind that you can use Deauthorize All only once in every 12 month period.

Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
