I sign into my provider OK but, will not load home page.

My provider is Wildblue.net. They recommended using Mozilla Firefox. Everything seemed to work OK until I upgraded to Firefox 5. When I now try signing into Wildblue, My sign in and password are excepted OK. When I hit Login my computer screen just runs and runs and runs with "waiting for gogglepartnerpage.com". The only way I Have found, for getting it to advance (Load) is to double click on the Homepage Icon in the Wildblue tool bar. (Sometimes more than once)
Browser speed also appears to have slowed down.
Is there a compatibility issue with Wildblue and Firefox 5?
Are others experiencing the same issue?
Should I return to Firefox 4? If so, how?
I have used Internet Explorer and don't seem to experience any problem. I would prefer using Mozilla Firefox. That's where my bookmarks are located and Wildblue recommends.

See this older thread for possible suggestions.

  • Safari opens but will not load the page after I erased my hard drive and reinstalled yosemite. Anyone have a solution? I have to restart for safari to open and load.

    Hi everyone.
I recently erased and reinstalled Yosemite on my iMac 27 (model late 2013). After I reinstalled everything i've noticed that when it goes to sleep/nap and when I come back to it and open the browser (safari) it will not load. I have to restart the whole iMac for it to work. I've erased and reinstalled again and I still have the same issues. Can anybody help?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Will not load home page

    (1) My home page is set to: http://www.google.com/ig?source=gama&hl=en. My firefox startup option is ShowMyHomePage.
    (2) When I first start up firefox, my home page will not load, and I keep getting the firefox support page. Note: As of a few days ago, the firefox support page also has a broken link.
    (3) When I manually click on the firefox HOME icon, my home page is loaded correctly.

  • Wifi will say that it is working but will not load any pages.

I’ve been having this problem for a while on my MacBook. It will connect to my home network and the little indicator says it is connected but whenever I try to load a page nothing will happen. I’ve tried a lot of things that haven’t worked and the router works for my roomates. I upgraded to mavericks and I think that has something to do with it. But I haven’t seen my specific problem on here so I thought I would give it a shot. If you have any suggestions that would be very helpful.  Thanks.

Back up all data before making any changes.
    Step 1
Take all the applicable steps in this support article. If you're running OS X 10.8.4 or later, run Wireless Diagnostics and take the remedial steps suggested in the summary that appears, if any. The program also generates a large file of information about your system, which would be used by Apple Engineering in case of a support incident. Don't post the contents here.
    Step 2
Run Software Update and install all available updates for OS X or your computer's firmware.
    Step 3
If you're not using a wireless keyboard or trackpad, disable Bluetooth by selecting Turn Bluetooth Off from the menu with the Bluetooth icon. If you don't have that menu, open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and check the box marked Show Bluetooth in menu bar. Test. Continue if you find that Wi-Fi is faster with Bluetooth disabled.
From that same menu, select Open Bluetooth Preferences. If the box labeled Discoverable is checked, uncheck it. Click the Advanced button, and in the sheet that opens, uncheck the top three boxes, if any are checked. Click OK. Enable Bluetooth and test again.
If the application called "Bluetooth Setup Assistant" is running, quit it.
    Step 4
This step will erase all your settings in the Network preference pane. Make a note of them before you begin, and recreate them afterwards. It may be helpful to take screenshots of the preference pane.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "SystemConfiguration" selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    Step 5
    Reset the System Management Controller.
    Step 6
Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service center.
Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional — ask if you need guidance.
If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.

  • 4.0.1 will not load home pages instead loads last view pages even with it set for showing only home page.

I have set under tools, options, general tab for showing my home page but when I restart firefox it loads the last viewed sites instead of the home page.

It seems to be a bad interaction between Tomcat and running as a Windows service.
    No thoughts out there?
I guess I'll be forced to upgrade to Tomcat 4.1.27 or 4.1.28. - MOD

  • Can download, and install, but will not load any page except for mozilla.

When i download and run the install, all seems to go well until firefox loads. The only page that loads is the Mozilla page. When i try to go to any other site, it has a problem loading page error. This would be on a Windows 7 system.

Hello, chvbob, and thanks for contacting Mozilla Support.
You may try to disable IPv6.
To disable IPv6, change the preference network.dns.disableIPv6 from "false" to true . Here are the steps:
    1. Type about:config in the address bar, press Enter.
    2. Find network.dns.disableIPv6 in the list.
    3. Right-click -> Toggle.
    4. Restart your Mozilla application and try again.
If this doesn't work, you can re-enable IPv6 by resetting the preference to "false" (double-click to toggle).
[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-cant-load-websites-other-browsers-can Here]'s an interesting article about another problems, including IPv6, that may help you if the first advice didn't work.
Please, make sure you check everything in the article and contact us again if none of the solutions worked.
This is FJM8 from Mozilla Support, thank you for contacting us and have a nice day!

  • Firefow will not open at all on one computer and on the other it opens but will not load. I just added a new wireless router, could this have anything to do with it, it had been working fine up until I installed it Tuesday night. Internet explorer won't

I installed a new wireless router on Tues. (May4) up until that time I had no problems using Firefox. Now I cannot get it to open on one computer, and the other it will open but will not load. Wondering if it has anything to do with the router, my provider or our computers. Again, it had been working fine. I am also unable to open interent explorer now on either computer.

Sounds like a problem with the router installation/configuration (likely) or a DOA router (very unlikely).
Visit the forums for the router manufacturer (i.e., linksys, d-link, etc.) and ask for assistance there. There is probably a link to help listed in the router manual.

Ever since I downloaded the new Firefox, when I right-click on a link to open it in a different tab, the tab will open but will not load anything, no matter what link I try. The tab will show the website destination in the navigation bar, but will not automatically load it; I have to press the load button in the navigation bar instead of it instantly loading.

    Every time Firefox opened
== The newest version, 3.6.6, of Firefox was downloaded

It's not specific sites. I can middle-click on the same link 50 times and it will open it in a new tab 45 times and 5 of those times, it will randomly open it in an entirely new window. I don't know what's causing this.
It happens so randomly that I don't know how to pin-point what it could be.

Try booting in Safe Mode by holding your Shift key down when booting. Also, try holding the eject key down when booting to eject the DVD. If you plug a mouse in and hold the clicker down when booting, that should eject the DVD.

Have just loaded Safari 5.1.  4 times.  It presents a blank page but will not load anything from the web.   What do I have to do to get it to work.   It worked fine until the update was offered.

Funny thing, even this page was loaded and then quickly turned blank for me (I'm writing from Chrome).
    Hope they fix it soon!
