I tunes 7.5 on windows vista

I can't play my music videos on vista. It caused i tunes to first freeze up and then shut down, any ideas?? I thought by 7.5 these issues would be worked out.

Help I aa having very serious problems with i tunes 7.5 freezing whenever I open it in my windows vista. My friend has also had same problem with his computer. I have tried hitting repair- does nothing. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, still freezes up. Please anyone, this is very frustrating because I cannot get my itouch to sync anymore.

Try disabling your antivirus software. This seems to work for alot of people Tell me if this works for you as well.

I tunes wont open in windows vista

I have windows vista and whenever i try and read a CD with Itunes i get a message saying that Itunes has stopped functionning and then itunes crashes. Impossible to put my music onto itunes and then download onto my nano.
Ive tried reinstalling (about 4 timesnow) and installing quicktime and itunes separatly,(in english and french), but still i have the same problem.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I have tried almost every fix an I can not get i tunes to open with windows vista.

i dont get any message, its just gets stuck while downloading, and will not finish.

I second what Kate Li said. There's no need for a registry cleaner! Don't do it! I run Windows systems for years and they keep running as light and fast as when they're new.
What I *do* recommend is regularly reviewing the list of programs set to run in the background using a tool to show you what starts in various ways called Autoruns, which can be found here:

This tool can be used to disable things you don't need.

Has anyone had issues with the latest i-tunes update 11.1.4 on Windows Vista

I downloaded the update on 24th Jan, and when I tried to open i-tunes after that it failed to start and the message was MSVCR80.dll and the window suggested that I remove and re-install i-tunes.
I did this and then my CD/DVD drive was not recognised. I then decided to go for a system restore prior to the update. When I did this i-tunes worked again but a window opens every 30seconds saying 'Mobile device helper is not working' At one point I had 116 windows open. Has anyone else had this problem or can offer any advice please? I have an i-pod classic and my system is windows vista which is approx 8yrs old. I have never had any problem with i-tunes updates before.

I-tunes not kompatibel with Windows 8. Every time I want to load my Ipod or Iphone I have to change the compability to, for instance windows vista. Otherwise Itunes refuse to recognize my Ipad/phone. Can I expect that Itunes will "fix" this problem? Carin

I have problems with I-tunes and the compability with windows 8. Every time I whant to load my Ipod/Iphone Itunes doesn´t recognize the pod/phone. If I change the compability to for instance windows vista it works ok.
I guess that I need some update of Itunes?

Today I saw your comment on the forum and I was wondering how you have solved your problem with Windows Vista? I am a Dutch girl and I just acquired a new laptop in The Netherlands, but I am living in Italy and I have bought my I-pod (model 30GB) approximately 1 year ago in the USA. This is why I have no idea in which country I should contact somebody, that is why I am writing to you. I just tried to install my old i-tunes cd-rom (that I got in the box in the store where I bought my I-pod), since this one was functioning perfect on my old laptop which unfortunately crashed. I tried to install many software (as well a electronic dictionary and my cd-rom for my photocamera) but it is impossible to install it now that I have Windows Vista. That is why I would like to know if you have a solution for me? I am not so good with technical issues, so I was also wondering what 32 and 64 bit version of Vista means? How can I find out which one I have? Can you remember where I can find the article you mentioned?
I am sorry if my English is not so good, but I hope you understand my question).
