I updated to Itunes 11.1 on Windows 8 & now there isn't a device tab in the top right hand corner or the sidebar. When I ran diagnostics it didn't pick up my Ipad or Iphone. Has anyone else had this problam & does anyone know how to fix it?

I have restarted my computer, turned my devices off & then on again & reinstalled itunes & none of this has helped.

Hi, in almost every other browser, when i save a document or attach a file in my gmail i have a search bar in the top right hand corner of the window pane that opens. Does Firefox do this?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
I'm not running 10.5.8 and it's been a while, but in your browser (Safari, right?) click on the word 'View' in the top menubar and you should see 'Show Toolbar' right at the top, as well as other choices. Clicking 'Show Toolbar' should restore your 'address bar' back to the way you expect it to look.
Some websites purposely open a new window without any 'distractions', such as to play video clips. If you close the original window, you can be left without the familiar tools.
'Customize Toolbar' also lets you drag other defined buttons to add functions you use frequently that usually require navigating the menubar. I added a 'Print' button that was not part of the original set, for example.

Today each time I use the minimise button in the top right hand corner of the window in order to mininmise it it completely disappears instead of being "parked" on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen ready to be maximised. How can I fix this?

It has the Icloud icon in the top right hand corner of the cover and if i click on play it starts to download from Icloud again and it does this each time i wish to play it, the same now happens to all my purcased movies which of course uses additional ISP download allowance. Before the recent update and lay out of Itunes this didn't happen i just purchased a movie and downloaded it then synced it to my ipod and enjoyed it. But now this latest movie purchase will not download to my ipod. I have sent the problem to Itumes and if there is answer i havent received it. Appreciate any advice

You may need to download a lower resolution version of the movie in order for it to sync to your iPod.

You take it into Apple and ask for an "out of warranty" replacement. It will cost a (reasonable) fraction of the cost of a new iphone. The cost cannot be given as you do not say whereabouts in the world you are. You can get the price if you search appropriately the internet.

I did it the .dmg way alone and has problems with itunes crashing. This is a better way to ensure that there is not anything left behind to cause issues.
You need to backup your computer then uninstall I-tunes and reinstall itunes.
Delete iTunes
Deleting iTunes is not recommended unless you know what you’re doing.
Launch Terminal from the UTILITIES within Applications
Type the following commands:
cd /Applications/
This brings you into the Applications directory, the next command deletes iTunes itself:
sudo rm -rf iTunes.app/
Enter the Administrator password to confirm
There is no warning or confirmation other than entering the admin password, iTunes will immediately be deleted, effectively uninstalling it from the Mac.
Deleting the iTunes application will NOT delete the ITUNES or music, and any purchases bought through iTunes will still remain tied to the Apple ID used to originally buy them.
You can download the newest version from Apple, and running their installer will bring iTunes back to life on your computer.

IF RESET DOESN'T WORK, FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTunes and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note: Data will be lost

- Unjailbroken iPod never showed % battery. Just the icon.

- What happens when you try to drag a wiggling app to a empty space in the bottom? Does it move and snap back?

Why all of a sudden has one of my apps (Condition Report App) only displaying at the top right hand corner it is a quarter of the size it should be, i have tried setting my ipad back to factory settings and this hasnt helped some please help??? :)

Do you have the most up-to-date version of the app? Did you upgrade to iOS 6? Did you check to make sure that the developer has updated the app for the new OS? Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears? Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing the app?
