I use iBookAuthor to make a textbook for my students; I revised it, including title page, but when I export it and upload it to my iPad, the old title page appears, even though I've deleted the older version of the text before I upload the new one.
Last year I produced a textbook using iBookAuthor for my students. I exported it as an iBook and they uploaded it to their iPads. This year, I revised it, including revising the title page. However, when I upload the new version, the old title page is shown, not the new one. I deleted the older version of the textbook before I did this. I've been told that I can cut and paste each revised chapter into a new template and that will work; however, title page and glossary can't be cut and pasted. Any thoughts for getting the entire new version on the iPad? I'm also told that if it is uploaded to an iPad that never had a previous version of this textbook, it will upload correctly. But my iPad has had several older versions, now deleted.
I had a similar issue when trying to create an iBook file to submit for course credit for one of the Apple Learning Essentials classes I took. I had a book I'd started previously which I updated and submitted, and then had to make some edits to for the course evaluator. I made the edits, and when I previewed the book in iBooks Author, it looked correct, but whatever I sent to him only showed some of the edits - for example a new page I created was there, but some edits I made to image captions and the title page image were not.
What worked for me was to do a "Save as" of the actual Author file to a totally new location (I used the Desktop), and then submit that file - which seemed to work in terms of the changes sticking. I even used the same file name.
I'm not sure if some similar action might help you (maybe change the file name slightly?) or if you've already tried something like this.
Still doesn't change the fact that this is a pretty irritating bug.

So far, I looked at your first solution, Revo Uninstaller and it gives you a 30 free trial. Ergo, it will eventually cost money so I'm leery of using those kinds of programs in general, meaning most "free trials" have unwanted strings attached and often are big probs to get rid of later. Perhaps you can assure me that it is easy and very user friendly, before I proceed. And I already ran malwarebytes and it found nothing tho the program still can't be uninstalled. I downloaded Adw Cleaner and during the install, my Norton's security popped up and warned that there were (low risk) threats with two of their "other offers" and i hadn't even actually clicked to agree either of them. Nonetheless, Norton warned me against the "lyrics finder" and "deal ply." In fact, there was a box already with an x in it, saying that you are accepting deal ply if you x on "next." Well, except I unchecked that box before clicking on next, yet when it went to fully install, it still showed that it was adding itself; so, just before the install was 100% completed, I had to abort the whole thing. I really do hope your other suggestions are programs that you personally know that they don't try and trick you. But right now, I would not suggest Adw Cleaner to anyone. I even read the fine print about what they will try and install and how to decline and it still tried sticking stuff on that i believed I had declined. Anyways, i have to leave now, shall pick up later this evening, if my pc is still functioning. -
I have changed my Apple ID when I got a new email address and confirmed it. However when I go to my iPad to buy an app my old Apple ID comes up and will not recognize the password. I tried going into the settings on my iPad and tapping on the old Apple ID to go in to change it but it will not recognize it and I cannot get in on the iPad to change it. I am running Firefox 3.6.4 in Windows XP. I am using the Scrapbook (not ScrapbookPlus) extension to save web content. I want to edit the saved pages. I click the Scrapbook icon at the bottom right of my screen and put a checkmark next to "Edit Toolbar." Alas, no toolbar appears. Same result when I check "Edit Toolbar." Neither of these toolbars appears. I've researched this in vain for hours. Would appreciate any thoughts on how to solve.

How do i delete an older version of itunes in order to download a newer version
just got an iphone4s and plugged it in to my pc and itunes I needed a newer version of itunes. Downloaded 10.5 and thought that fixed the problem. It did not. After the install it says the destination source is bad. Any help would be appreciated.

When using my new nano 7 with nike+, my music stops after the 30 minute voice alert even though I have set my run/workout for over 30 minutes. It also cancels/deletes that run/workout. This has happened several times. How can I keep this from happening?
If possible I would arrange for a good service center to go over it. Hopefully they have a variety of parts in stock. They can test and verify all is working. The previous attempts are based on guesses by the person at the other end of the phone without diagnostic tests to assess the culprit. It is extremely unlikely for a webcam to fail & for it & a Mic to fail together should be an indicator to a good technician it is something else. EG Motherboard

Well, you're not alone. The question is why is this happening? Since the referenced link shows the same type of problem with Yahoo finance, I suspect there is a coding problem on the site, specific to how Firefox is reading the code. Not being a programmer, I can't offer specific advice other than contacting either Firefox through their Community forum, or Yahoo Finance. -
Anyone have the problem I'm having with the Safari collecting cookies even when I'm not on a website? I cleaned everything out and checked several times. Each time cookies were added that I've never seen with my older version of Safari. I have the block third parties and advertisers but I don't think it works. Hi, do you know if this works if I then want to move my library to a new computer as that is my main intention bacause my old computer hasn't got enough space for me to add new albums so I want to ditch the computer (its got to be about 100 years old and doesn't seem to cope well with modern technology!!) and start using my laptop for my iTunes. I am at the point now where i'm ready to throw both my computer and iPod out the window!!!! I might point out as well that in trying to clear space on my computer I accidently deleted the Bonjour programme which is aparently needed to use the home share option, oops!!!!

I myself think that (for instance) "A tribe called Quest" should be sorted under "A", not "T".
Now I can edit the sort options manually per track and/or per selection, but I would really like to just kill this "iTunes-knows-how-you-should-sort"-feature in iTunes.

ThanksHere is a modified version of one of Doug's Scripts. My modification was to add Sort Name to the list of tags that could be changed. I tried it on a single track and it worked. I recommend backing up your library first. Select the tracks you want to change (or all tracks) and run the script from the Applescript Editor. If it works as intended, save it so you can apply it to newly imported tracks. And, yes, I know this isn't the exact answer to your question, you want to change a preference setting in iTunes (if there is such a setting).

When I flag an email with IOS 7 on my iPad 4 and delete the email the number of flags stay even though I have no flagged emails. I am up to 8 flags.
