I've copied my profile to a new PC, but the bookmarks still don't appear on the new PC. What am I doing wrong?

I've followed the instructions on how to locate, backup, and install my profile on a new Windows 7 OS laptop. I closed Firefox and then re-launched Firefox. I checked the Bookmarks pull down menu and the copied information isn't coming up. Only the original Bookmark info is showing.

Did you copy the full profile folder or only specific files to the current [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] ?

If you really want help, stop messing with the fonts and post so that others can read and offer suggestions.
Or better yet... try a search, I'm certain you'll find a solution to whatever issue you're experiencing.

ok, I copied the <installdir>/applications/vod to
<installdir>/applications/newapp
in the conf dir in the file fms.ini I added :
# VOD_DIR denotes the full path of sample "VOD" application's

VOD_DIR = /opt/adobe/fms/applications/newapp/media

With these changes, no go
if I comment out the VOD_DIR =
/opt/adobe/fms/applications/vod/media line it works, then it plays
the media in the newapp dir.
if I comment out the other vod line, it plays the media in
the vod dir.
What am I doing wrong?

You're overwriting the variable VOD_DIR - try using VOD_DIR
and VOD_DIR2. They need to be distinct.

Hi. I just synced my New Iphone 4S to my Itunes but it didn't transfer anything but the apps? What did I do wrong?

Here are the steps I made..
Plugged in old IPhone( IPhone 4)
Synced to ITunes.
Unplugged and erased old IPhone (IPhone 4)
Plugged in new IPhone (IPhone 4 S)
Followed instructions.
Restore from old Phone Option.
Restored Old Apps But No Contact info, Text, or Photos.
What did I do Wrong?
Can I still recover my old Info?

Do you have a backup of your iphone? if you do, then go to settings -general - reset - erase all contents and settings. This will wipe your phone clean, then you will have the option to restore from backup http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766

Well, just to confirm the process, open Mail and click on the word "Mailbox" up at the top pf the screen in the menu bar. Then click on "New Mailbox" in the list. In the window that opens, enter the name you want for this new mailbox. The new Mailbox will be located over in the left hand column under the heading there, "On My Mac". If you cannot see the mailbox there, then it is "hidden" under "On My Mac". You will need to hover your mouse cursor over the phrase "On My Mac" and just to the right the word "Show" will faintly appear. Click on "Show" and your Mailboxes under "On My Mac" will appear.

no they are already in mp3 format I just tried that home sharing today because I couldnt find any other reason why they werent syncing. here is an example of a sync I just tried. I made an mp4 concert into an mp3 it came out perfect on my computer.. then I tried to sync it to my ipad with no luck, other than it going on my computer, it did not show up anywhere on my ipad in any area of the music sections etc playlists, songs, albums etc. Its just not there but remains on my computer. thats why I tried the home share today to see if that would help. Either I am really missing something or there is something wrong with this ipad. I'm trying to use AirPort Untility to configure the old APExtreme to extend the network, but it won't let me.
"Extend" is only used if the two AirPort Extremes are connecting using wireless only.
"Create" is the correct setting to use since the AirPort Exremes are connecting using Ethernet.
Configure the second AirPort Extreme to create a wireless network using the exact same wireless network name, same security setttings and same wireless password as the "main" AirPort Extreme and make sure that you are choosing the Bridge Mode option for the second AirPort Extreme before clicking Update to save the settings.
When you do this, everything will act like one big wireless network and computers will automatically pick up a signal from the AirPort with the strongest signal based on their location.

I have a new iPod touch and an iPad all my videos work on the iPod, but not on the iPad. What am I doing wrong when I syn with iTunes ?

iPad 2 does not show videos. I just get a black screen when I hit the video app. The videos show as being loaded when connected to iTunes.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

Thanks for your prompt reply, I'm afraid it hasn't helped. I don't see anything wrong in my device manager.
I have also gone and updated every driver, especially the motherboard chipset and the Sata Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver.
Unfortunately, this hasn't made any difference.
Any other suggestions?
