You can't install 9.2.1 or earlier on any Mac that is only Mac OS X bootable. In fact you need to use the restore disks which came with those Macs to install 9.2.2 on those Macs. 8.6 is only possible to install on Macs which came with 8.6 or earlier. The 9.1 disk may be useful for your 1999 PowerMac G4, but won't be of any use for a 2006 Powerbook G4.

How to get "Number of days" in a report on 0PM_DS02

Dear BI Gurus,
I need to build a query on the PM DSO - 0PM_DS02 (MTTR/MTBR).
The query has 0Equipment in the rows
The fields Available Time | Breakdown TIme | Utilised Time in the columns for the time granularity selected.
The field Breakdown Time is the calcaulted key figure Actual Outage Time from the DSO.
The field Utilised Time is a formula = Available Time - Breakdown Time.
The issue I am facing is regarding the field Available Time.
In the report the user needs time granularity in Month and Year.
Basically the logic for the field Available Time = Number of days in the time period selected * 24
where 24 = number of hours in a day.
Now my issue is when the time granularity is month , the field should have the number of days in the month the user selects from the selection screen and when the time granularity is year, the field should have number of days in that year.
Also during the query execution period, when the user changes the time granularity the report should also change the calculation for this field.
(I can bring an extra field to the DSO, which will bring the available number of days in a month for each record)
Can you please guide me how to map this scenario.

Calculated item divided by number of days in a month

Hello.
I'm trying to create a calculated item, that is supposed to represent a column member, divided by the number of days in a month that's selected from the dashboard prompt.
I know that I need an SQL function to get the number of days, but I don't think that you can use SQL functions when creating calculated items.
Is there a way to do this?

Use expression builder in the rpd and then just use available functions without 2nd thought.

Getting the day of the month

I think it is kind of odd that the "day" property in the Date
class will only return the day of the week and not the day of the
month... How would you go about getting the day of the month
selected lets just from a DateField entry... so lets just say some
one does something like this

It give me back the day of that particular week in the
month... but I really don't have any use for that... I need the day
of the month! How would I go about getting that?

yeah... I know the "date" property returns a numeric value of
the current month, day and year... but I was hoping there was a
property of some sort that I could just use instead of having to
parse the numeric value returned for what I want..

I need to do a calculation in my query based upon the number of days in the month. The report is broken down by cal year / month.
Is there an easy way of identifying these values in the query?

This can be done by writing an user exit code to determine the number of days in the month.

How do I set a recurring event for the last day of the month on iphone 4s calendar?

I want to set a recurring event for the last day of every month - regardless of the date/number of days in the month. I'd prefer not to have to use an app to do this.

Hi,
You can do this using the custom repeat in iCal. You'll need two events to cover the second and fourth Mondays.
Create the event on the second Monday of the month. In Repeat select Custom... > Frequency: Monthly > On the: second Monday.
Do the same for the Fourth Monday.

How to interpret the current day of the month

I am a rookie in java and am trying to play with the Calendar class.
The DATE static field of this class says it returns "Field number for get and set indicating the day of the month."
So, Calendar.DATE has to return the current day of the month.
Today is 7th of january. So, it should return 7. But, I am getting a value of 5.
I am very much confused. I fell that my interpretation os wrong.

You must NOT confuse the value of the constant Calendar.DATE (5) and how you can use that constant to retrieve the current day of the month.
        Calendar cal = Calendar.getInstance(); // Gets the current date

Iv'e used this method. It assumes startdate,enddate and days have been defined before but you could pass them as args.

SSAS Tabular - return number of days in given month using month's start date?

Is there a way to return the number of days in a month by providing just the month date or month start date?
We have a time table, but it is at monthly (not daily) granularity.
So I can't just count rows between start/end of month.
I need to be able to divide by the number of days in a given month and can't seem to find a way to get number of days in that given month.

According to your description, you want to get the number of days in a month with the month's start date, right?
In this case, we can get the first day of next month using DateAdd function, and then use DateDiff function to calculate the number of days in this month. Here is a sample query for your reference.

I want to get this result in BEX. Please let me know how to get this. The result rows are shown below

A sample of how the values should appear

I just ran across the same problem. Instead of using the RSR00002 enhancement I used the BADI implementation. I found it easier to understand and I think it will be easier to maintain. I couln't find a lot of good documentation (HOW TO... Use variable time references in currency conversions was helpful though) about how to do it so here is how I did it.
1.In SE19 create an implementation based on rsr_olap_badi
2.Tell it which infoprovider(s) to look for under Defined Filters. (You can use wildcards here if you want)
3.Click on the Interface Tab and double click on the implementing class.
4. Define attribute on the Attributes tab. Characteristics must start with P_CHA and key figures must start with P_KYF ex. P_CHA_0CALMONTH2, P_CHA_0CALMONTH, P_KYF_ZNUMDAYS all must have type I.
5. In methods tab double click the define method. Here is where you tell it which characteristics and key figures to look for. Here is an example.

FIELD-SYMBOLS:

6. Double click on the compute method. Here is where you will populate the key figure. Here is an example. I had to wirte a function module because we only wanted work days versus all days of the month. But you get the idea.

That is it, if you included the correct fields in the attributes and the correct infoprovider in step 2. When you use those fields in a query it will populate znumdays with your calculation.

Number of days in current month

I have a reporting situation, where I need to calculate the total
number of days in the currrent month based on system date/calender date. Do we have a standard function to return this value? Or any
variable? Or if you have done something similar, please let me know.
This is what I need. If today is July 28, then I need the value 31 to be returned. If its February, 28 or 29 dependinng on whether its leap year or not. I want to use this value to calculate other values.
