I want to give someone my ipod but need delete my songs and any account information on it, how do you do this?

I would like to give my ipod to someone and want to delete my data from the pod, how do you do this

Connect the Nano to iTunes and restore it to factory settings.  This process erases all content/media from the Nano and sets it back to its original default settings. See here for instructions on restoring it to factory settings.
