I want to replace HD with SSD... how can i make an OS installer DVD?

I've got an SSD drive on the way, should be here in a few days.
But the mac mini didn't come with any OS media - is there an easy way to burn myself one so I can use it to do a clean install on the new drive? I do have an external (USB) DVD writer that works fine with the mac mini... (I used it to install win7 bootcamp).
As you probably can guess i'm a total mac NOOB, the machine is set to boot into win7 by default and I havent really had time to even poke around in the Mac OS ( its my wife's machine, actually). We bought it because we wanted to have a SILENT machine that didnt take up a lot of space. I have to say it does the job amazingly well ( runs win7 very fast). One of these days we're gonna try out the mac OS...

You will have to retain the HDD because you need it to prep the SSD.
Drive Preparation
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
Next, you want to install Lion on the SSD:
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Reinstall Lion:
Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Install button. When the installer prompts for the target disk click on the Show More Disks link and select the SSD as the target drive. The whole process takes a while because the Lion installer takes while to download.

With Java8, how can I make my tooltips behave as they did with Java7?

Since some of my customers may want to run Java8, I decided to try my application with Java8. There were quite a few problems most of which were resolved when I decided to do a revamp in anticipation having to have the system run on Android and ios platforms.
I now have everything working except Tooltips.
With Java7, Tooltips were not styled and the default was satisfactory. On Java8, the Tooltips had a black background with white lettering with too small a font size. Also, since I was defining a background in .root, there was an addition rectangle to the right and below the tooltip. After much trial and error, I was able to get a satisfactory Tooltip in Java8 although I cannot see how to implement the page corner. To remove the background rectangle (which also appeared on my ChoiceBoxes, I had to style .root.popup). Below is the relative section of my css file.
However, when I run this under Java7, I get a Tootip with a transparent background and black lettering.
Is there anyway I can get the same tooltip styling to work with both Java versions?

setUserAgentStylesheet(STYLESHEET_CASPIAN);
...as the first line of your program (in the start() method), or run it with the JVM flag -Djavafx.userAgentStylesheetUrl=caspian.
Note the above method isn't present in JavaFX 2.x, so if you want to do this in code that compiles and runs on both Java 7 and 8, unfortunately the only way around it is via reflection.
The above demonstrates how to keep the entire look and feel of caspian (from Java 7) for Java 8.
If you want the default JavaFX 8 style (modena) for everything but tooltips, you can probably just copy and paste the tooltip styling css from caspian.css and put it in your application stylesheet (though I have not tried that so I'm not 100% sure it will work correctly for you). You can find modena.css and caspian.css in the JavaFX sources: java - Where to get the JavaFX sources? - Stack Overflow. For example caspian.css is here and it's tooltip styling code is copy and pasted below:

ITunes keeps asking if I want to replace app with one I'm moving

Every time I open iTunes (or do anything with my apps) it keeps telling me a newer version of an app already exists in my library and am I sure I want to replace it with the one I'm moving. Only, I don't think I'm moving any apps, and no matter what I choose it keeps asking every time I open iTunes, and goes through at least half my apps every time.
I've tried updating the apps, updating iTunes, but nothing seems to work.

Ok I had this problem earlier due to me attempting to move my iTunes library from one computer to a newer one. If that is what you did before receiving the message then you must go into the iTunes folder on your computer, it should be under music in your computer. After that go to iTunes media and find the Mobile applications folder it should be empty, Open another folder and go to Tunes media then look for the folder titled "Automatically add to Tunes" find the mobile applications folder in their ( Should have a iTunes media folder within that folder and the mobile applications is located in their) The apps in this folder are being continuously re added to your media so simply copy all of the apps here and move it to the first mobile applications folder.
However if you switching to a new computer is not the case then you could always also delete all the apps within the original mobile applications folder like how it is stated in this discussion.

I had played with the OAMessageChoiceBean component yesterday, but I was able to tell from your instructions that "Picklist Display Attribute" and "Picklist Value Attribute" really are not for binding to the database EO. That was the key piece of information that had me confused.
In addition to adding the messageChoice component to the page, I needed to write some code to synchronize the picklist value with the corresponding code value, which I placed in am OAFormValueBean (hidden form field) which I could then bind to my application's database EO in the controller, running in the processFormRequest procedure:

Adobe is moving from the purchase of a license for their software to the renting of it. I'm old school so I'd prefer a perpetual license. But you already have a subscription to Illustrator so I guess it'd be advisable to look into whether expanding the subscription to include other software will save you some money. Also I remember something about Adobe adding features to its Cloud version which aren't also added to the licensed version and a different way of handling updates and upgrades. Indeed, Adobe states that CS 6 has reached the end of the road. So if you're going to stay with Adobe, you may very well be stuck.
I'd suggest spending some time in the Adobe Communities. You'll likely find people complaining about choices they've made that you'll have to make too. Let them be the beta testers.

Import the music on the external HD into iTunes. If you don't want iTunes to make a new copy of each track that is stored in your iTunes Media folder on your PC's internal HD, make sure the Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library option is NOT ticked from under the Advanced tab of iTunes Preferences. Just remember that if you go this route, you'll always need to have your external HD plugged in before you start up iTunes.
