4s: I was trying to upgrade the OS, but in the middle of this process it froze with a screen image implying that I should plug into iTunes
(image of a cable, with an arrow pointing at the word iTunes); when I connect to my laptop, the computer doesn't see my iPhone
connected at all. I've tried powering down and up, but it always comes back to that same image. Can I re-set the whole thing?

Thanks to hughgriff and stevejobsfan0123: I reinstalled iTunes on my laptop, used iTunes to restore my iPhone (to new), then used iCloud to restore apps, setting, data, etc. But what a hassle! A ridiculous way to update ios7!

If your ipad had no problems before, then it is your computer then may fail you. Try to restart computer and ipad.Try to disable antiviruses. If that happens again and you have apple store close by you can set up appointment, or try another computer.

While the upgrade to ios6 went on smoothly for my iPhone 4 and my iPads, while upgrading the iPhone 3GS, I came across this error message. Can some one help me how to get this sorted out ?Now the phone shows that I should connect it to my computer through USB although it remains connected and the error message comes only after the phone is connected and it tries to extract the software and update.

How EXACTLY was it "unlocked"?
ONLY the carrier it is locked to can authorize unlocking it. Anything else is a hack.
If it was hacked/jailbroken to unlock it, you can't get help here per the terms of service. It is most likely now bricked.

Dead iPod after trying to upgrade the iPod software

Hi!
I was trying to upgrade the software of my iPod when suddenly my laptop run out of batteries (i did't realize that it was unplagged) and switched off.
From that moment, my iPod doesn't work any more. I can't switch it on and it doesn't respond when i plug it to my laptop or to the electricity.
Is it definitely dead? is there any solution? how can it be so unstable??

If your iPhone was hacked to be unlocked to use with any carrier's SIM card, you just re-locked the iPhone to the carrier the iPhone was sold as carrier locked when new.

If you purchased Lion for your iMac, just log into the Mac App Store from your MacBook using the Apple ID under which you purchased Lion and go to the Purchases page. You will be able to download and install Lion there.
searching the internet i found a link to upgrtade to 10.7
The only place you get get Lion is from the Mac App Store. If you found some other site, that was an illegal copy and almost certainly tied to someone else's Apple ID and hence unusable by you. If the link was just to the Mac App Store, see above.
As to the problem with synchronization to iCloud, that's not a 10.6 question, so I'd suggest you take up that specific issue in either the Lion or iCloud forums, providing full details, and someone there can probably help you sort things out.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes? If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

From the information you have provided, I am not sure what is causing your problem. Make sure that you do not have an evaluation license for LabVIEW.
What, if anything, was changed in your VI before it stopped working? Will it run without the Matlab script?
If you continue having trouble getting your VI to work, please respond with more information. If you like, you can post your VI (along with any necessary sub-VIs) and I will take a look at it.
