ICON on Application Toolbar

Hi experts,
My requirement is I need to display an icon in Application Toolbar the icon ICON_STATUS as a button as it relates to some portion in the actual screen.
In any Function Code if I try to assign 'ICON_STATUS' it throws error - Error message 'Icon ICON_STATUS does not exist'. Is it possible any way to assign that Icon in application tool bar ?
Problem here is the Icons that are displayed in application tool bar are System Icons.
Any suggestions.

Hi,
I have to add a button in the application toolbar of a gui status. I have done that many times before, but I never got into trouble like this time....
When I open the Gui status and the tree for the application toolbar, I can see already set buttons. When I now click on change (a modification warning comes) and press the plus-icon, it is possible to enter a new item. But everything I´m typing, I get the message Function code XXXX has not been assigned to a function key. I have never got this before....
When I now go to SE41 and enter a new function key, I can´t use it either afterwards as a button in the application toolbar.
In the tree of the function keys, I can´t change anything...
What can I do here? The program name is SAPMZLCG, so it has been modified sometimes. But how can I change the GUI STATUS now to add a new button?

You need to goto the application toolbar and the add your text to the items and click below the text you will get one popup which will ask for static text and dynamic text. select statictext and then add all the information like text name and if you want to add an icon you can do it aswell. the there will be another popup for fuction attributes where you will be able to find some options loke fuction types and reaction need to select all that and then click on the ok button and save check and activate the same and after that activate and check whether the button is visible or not. once the button is visible then you need to check for the ok_code and sy_ucomm and then insert the fuctionality of the button.
I hope this might solve your problem.

1. create GUI status with "Status" name and "Short text"
2. Now a screen will appear with the following,
                a. Menu Bar
                b. Application tool bar
                c. Function keys
3. Click the down arrow near the application toolbar
4. Enter the function code like SAVE, EXIT, etc., You
can also give ur own meaningful naming convention .
          For example ( ZTEST)
5. Now press enter, it will ask for "Static text" or "Dynamic Text". Choose Static text and press enter
6. Now it will ask for function text and Icon name. Specify some function text ( what it does ) and Icon name u want to attach.
7. Press enter. It will ask for function keys. Specify a function key and press enter.
8. Now u can handle this function code (ZTEST) either in PBO/PAI like IF FUNCTION = ZTEST ...ENDIF
Note:
Don't forget to set the GUI status u have created in PBO event.
Example code to set PF status.
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
MODULE liste_initialisieren.
MODULE setstatus_0100.
LOOP AT extract WITH CONTROL
tctrl_ztufi_league CURSOR nextline.
MODULE liste_show_liste.
ENDLOOP.
In the above MODULE setstatus_0100 do the following,
SET PF-STATUS 'ZGUI'. ( The GUI status u have created).

The addl. requirement is to create a pushbutton after displaying the output .
Can anybody tell the procedure on how to create a pushbutton in the application toolbar.

If you are using ALV report:

Icons in the toolbar all appearing in grey color.

After updating to Aperture 3, I was surprised that all the icons in the toolbar as well as the items in the library tabs ( projet lists, albums etc.. ) now appear in grey. Would someone know how to get all the colors back ? thanks so much.

Alain,
it is easy to restore the color icons from an older version of Aperture, but you have to patch the Aperture application package and should have some experience in working with a mac. It is risky otherwise, as William pointed out.
The fix is to replace all new, gray icons in the Ressources folder of the Aperture package by the older, colorful icons, and you will have to do it over and over again with each new Aperture upgrade. I have done it, because I find it difficult to tell the gray icons for albums and projects apart on my 17" screen without the aid of a little color.
See this thread: Re: After updating to Aperture 3.3 all my icons appears in Black and white. This includes the inspect button, photo stream button, the Facebook / flicker share button. Could you please help here ?

Application toolbar list report

Hi,
How would I get a button on the application toolbar for an abap list report.
I could do it using a selection screen, but I want the button usuable when the list output is printed
to the screen. I have clickable icons on the list report. Be nice to have toolbar buttons.

Hi you are asking about selection-screen application tool bar buttons or output application tool bar buttons. If u want selection-screen application tool bar buttons then go with SCCRFIELDS structure. If u want output application tool bar buttons then go with Set pf-status.

For creating a new button, write the name of the button on the tool bar for ex. &CONTI.
Double click on it, and choose the icon and function text ofr it.
Save and activate the menu.
Your button gets created in the menu.
Declare the variable in your program with the code for continue.
Here's an example,
form set_pf_status using rt_extab type slis_t_extab.
set pf-status 'ALV_MENU'.
endform.
form user_command using p_ucomm type sy-ucomm
data : vbeln type vbeln_va.
case p_ucomm.

I have a application tool bar with 8 icon buttons defined. Now I have a custom configuration table where I check what buttons in application toolbar should be seen so that user can select which button he wants to see and which not anytime he wishes.

Not enough space for items in application toolbar...

Hello Gurus,
We a ALV report where we have more then 35 items in Application toolbar. It seems that in standard application toolbar, there cannot be more then 35 items in application toolbar.
What is the option so that I can have more tehn 35 buttons in application toolbar of ALV ?
Is there a way (maysbe some object oriented way) so that I can have multiple lines of application toolbar or have more then 35 buttons in application toolbar ?

If you are using OO for alv then you can make toolbars into GROUPS

is there a way to change item text on menu bar and application toolbar eg in business partner overview(T-Code fmcacov) i want to change text 'Business Partner" to "tax Payer" on both menu bar an application toolbar. i have tried the norma way of going to change the screen but when i am on the GUI status its not going to change mode even sfter entering the access key

Open the program and click on GOTO=>ATTRIBUTES.
Change the text to the heading which you want.
SAVE & ACTIVATE.
Regarding opening in change mode, the steps you have carried out are correct.
You need to comment the existing gui-status by placing cursor on that line & click delete.
Then click on INsert button and add new gui-status.

i have attached a custom gui status to the alv but i am not able to see all the buttons created by me.
some buttons are getting cut and i cannot see the buttons after scrolling as well

U might have copied a standard PF-status into ur own status and added ur own buttons right....if it is so do not alter the std buttons sequence.......and add ur own buttons at the last.....
also see if all de buttons are active...(red letters r inactive) activate den individually using function code button.....

I have my disks that came with my laptop I have went into disk utility to repair disk and I still seem to have the same problem .. No icons or apps or anything lol just the cursor I can only shut down the laptop via power but and the press shut down.

How can i disable '+' icon in the toolbar

I have one requirement i.e i want to disable '+' button[File-->New] in the toolbar.This button creates a record when i click on this.
My block(Updatable block) should allows updations and insertions so i can't make insert_allowed and update_allowed property to "NO".I tried with
APP_SPECIAL2.ENABLE('FILE.NEW',PROPERTY_OFF); but the + icon is still enabled when i write above code.

Is there a way to have the 'new tab' icon on the toolbar AND have the "new tab" button at the right end of my tabs, as before? It seems to be either/or.

Under the previous version of Firefox I had the "new tab" option in both locations. When I upgraded, the one at the end of the tab line had disappeared. I used the suggestion from the forum to reset to default and it did reappear, but the icon in the toolbar had disappeared. Since there is no + in the customization window I cannot place a new one, and if I drag and drop from the tab bar it moves to the toolbar, but will not duplicate itself. I use either of these interchangeably, and having only one or the other is a real annoyance, and does slow me down when doing multiple searches or otherwise utilizing multiple tabs.

Hi, I have a similar problem with 12.0 of Firefox. The 'Add New Tab' tab has moved from the righthand end of open tabs to the left hand end.
If I right click on an empty tab area and select customize the "Add New Tab' tab disappears and an Add New Tab icon appears at the right hand end. I can drag and drop this icon into the Customize Toolbar window.
However if I drag it from the window back to the Tab toolbar area on the right. It initially appears on the right. Then clicking 'Done' on the Customize Toolbar window converts the icon to a tab but places it back at the left hand end of the tabs.
I'm sure this didn't happen before - so it's a possibility I have messed something up but I can't seem to correct it?
