ICONS are not appearing in oracle forms 10g
Dear All,
Good Morning.
I am using oracle 10g forms.
I had my old application in forms6i. I migrated it into forms 10g.
Application is running fine no function problem there is.
But icons are appeared into button.
Please tell me way, how can i configure for icons.
The above mentioned thread is talking about icons not appearing in the Forms builder and not at runtime. I don't think it will help you.
In Webforms displaying "Icons" it's a little bit different than client/server, Webforms use .gif files as icons and not .ico files and these files should be Jarred in a .Jar file and put in a directory where the JVM can reach.
Follow the instruction in the [url http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/webicons.pdf]Webicons file in page 3 under the "Don't want to learn about the details, Just get started!" it's very easy and fun.

DDE.initiate is not working in oracle forms 10g
Previously i have used DDE for uploading the data from excel to DB in oracle forms 10g.now it is throwing non-oracle exception at DDE.intiate.
could you please help me to solve this issue.
i use the below code
APPLICATION := OLE2.CREATE_OBJ('EXCEL.APPLICATION');
ole2.set_property(application,'Visible','false');
WORKBOOKS := OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(APPLICATION,'WORKBOOKS');
ARGS := OLE2.CREATE_ARGLIST;
OLE2.ADD_ARG(ARGS,:PARAMETER.P_SERVER_FILE_NAME);
WORKBOOK := OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(WORKBOOKS,'OPEN',ARGS);
OLE2.DESTROY_ARGLIST(ARGS);
WORKSHEETS := OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(WORKBOOK,'WORKSHEETS');
WORKSHEET := OLE2.GET_OBJ_PROPERTY(APPLICATION,'ACTIVESHEET');
M_CONVID := DDE.INITIATE('EXCEL',:PARAMETER.P_SERVER_FILE_NAME);Hello,
Do not use DDE.intiate.Comment that line.As per your code the file is already open.
Here is a good example in this metalink note:

My Desktop Icons are not appearing or not going away
Hi there
This problem started occuring a while ago while I was downloading many files.
What is happening is, whem I download a file, the file download icon will appear on my desktop as it should, and as my mac always has done, it should show the actual file icon once the download is complete and then dissapear.
What is happening is that the download icon does not go away, and the file icon does not appear. Rather, when I click on the completed download icon, it suddenly dissapears, but the downloaded file icon does not appear.
The files do exist, as when I search for them in finder and select 'reveal in finder' the file suddenly appears on the desktop.
This is really annoying... I now lose track of what I have downloaded and dont know what is on my desktop.. I dont keep files on my desktop, I just need to download them to there before moving them..Hi Dr Wong,
Have you tried designating a specific folder for the downloads to save to, rather than saving them to the desktop?
If you go to your browser preferences you can either create a new folder or choose an existing one to download to. This way you can see all your dwonloads in date/name order as you would with any other folder. I find that it's a lot easier to manage them this way.
Give it a try and see if it solves the problem. If you still have the same troubles come back to me.

Icons are not visible when the form is run
I develop a form with only a push button. I developed form using oracle 10DS. I have saved my form in application server. To see an icon in my button, i did the following things:
1. In application server i made a jar named test.jar. It consists of just two gif images.
2. I copied this jar in application server's \forms90\java directory
3. I configured formsweb.cfg file as the following.
4. my \form90\java\oracle\forms\registry\registry.dat is as the following.
whenever i run form i can not see icon but in client's oracle jar cache jar is downloaded.

I tried many times. But could not be successful. Then I just kept my icons in
\forms90\java directory without making jar. In my form, icon file name is the icon name without extension. Here, i can see my icon in button. but if i replace an icon
without changing the name of the icon, then i always see the old icon. The new icon, i can not see.
Please, help me with only Oracle 10g AS how i can see icon in button. Let's assume, there is not oracle 10g DS (any development tool) in the machine where the form is run.
Please, guide me clearly step by step so that i might be successful.
Thanks.
TKARIMThanks Bernard,
It works fine with JInitiator but not working with
the JPI. For JPI what settings I need to do ??hi TKARIM and Bernard, i am having similar problem even with the Bernard's recommended setup. could you post the webutiljini.htm (i presume you are using config=test) ?
i am actually using jinitiator 1.3.1.28 with Oracle HTTP Server of OAS 10gR2) calling Forms Server 6i (f60cgi). After setting up according to Bernard's recommended setup steps, the java console showed that it loaded the icon jar file when it could not read the form, but it skipped the loading of the icon jar file once it read and started the form. How do we specify in the form to pick up the icon from the jar file instead from a directory ? Or do we need to specify ? Any ideas ?
Thx and Regards

Host('sqlldr') is not working in oracle forms 10g
oracle database version:10.1.2.0
oracle forms version:10g
client ans server are on the same machine.
when i am trying to load the file in to oracle,i wrote the when-button-pressed trigger as
host('sqlldr');
when i run the form its not giving any result.
i tried by using batch file also itn is giveing the error like
message 2100 not foundWhat happens when you run "SQLLDR" from a command window? It sounds like the directory where the SQLLDR executable is located is not in your PATH. You can either add it to your path or fully qualify the path to the executable as Christian suggests.

My Airplay Icons are not appearing on any of my apple products.
I have an Apple TV and the Airplay mirroring worked fine on it, until about a month ago. Now the icon doesn't appear on any of my products. Everything is connected to the same Wifii network. I have reset my Apple TV and it is up to date with the most recent updates.
Does anyone have any trouble shooting suggestions?Have you checked the tips?

BMP is not displayed in Oracle Forms 10g
Hi,
I am trying to display logo on the custom logon form.
I have created an image item in the block. The following code is written in WNFI
DECLARE
Master_image VARCHAR2(80) := 'SS.bmp';
BEGIN
set_window_property(forms_mdi_window, window_state, maximize);
set_window_property(forms_mdi_window, Title, 'Accounting System');
READ_IMAGE_FILE(master_image, 'BMP', 'image_master');
END;
But the BMP is not getting displayed.
Am i missing something here?
Thanks

Statutory deductions are not appearing in the Remuneration statement
Hi Friends,
I have done all configurations to Indian Payroll including ESI, PF etc.,. To configure these deductions I have used SAP standard wage types. Everything is at the configuration level. But these are not appearing in HR form. Any customisation has to be done in addition to this. Can anybody help me in this regard.
Best Regards,
KP GuptaKrishna,
I suggest that you check the window screen as well. Assuming you have developed the remuneration statement like most companies' pau slips, you would have created one window for Earnings and another for Deductions. You need to assign groups to each window. Double click anywhere inside the Deductions window and you will get a window listing the groups assigned to the window. Double-click on the group(s) listed in the window to check if the deduction you need is listed there.
Like Ram Manohar suggested, also check the deductions side of the cumulation ID.
Also, go through the standard Remuneration Statement for India IN01 that's provided to check your form.
Let me know what you find.

Where is default icons location in oracle form 10g
hi,
Can anybody please tell me, where is the default(given below) icons location in oracle form 10g. I want to user that icons in my form.
Image: !c:\icons.gif!
thanks
mohanHi,
Is your problem solved?
This issue occurs because gif images by default are not still images. These are graphical interchange images, i.e. images depicting some kind of action/motion.
If I am not wrong then just to test this out if you open the gif image you are looking at, in pbrush then image will appear in a corner. Now if you modify that image such that you copy only the icon in the corner and then save the copied icon in a new file in gif format then you will be able to see that image in the centre of button, rather over complete button.
Hope this helps!

Icons not displaying in oracle forms.
Hi All,
I am trying to display icons on Oracle forms 10g.I just brought over these forms from another system and I am trying to display the icons like next record, clear form etc..
I have done the following steps so far. The icons are still not displaying. Appreciate any help.
Created a folder in D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java called icons.
Copied all gif files and jpeg files into icons. Then created a jar file.
D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java>jar -cvf my_icons.jar icons
It created the jar file in the same directory D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java
Also changes were made to these files as shown below each file.
forms.conf
AliasMatch ^/forms/icons/(..*) "D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java\icons/$1"
registry.dat
default.icons.iconpath=http://servername:7778/forms/java/
formweb.cfg
# Forms applet parameter
codebase=/forms/java
# Forms applet parameter
imageBase=codebase
# Forms applet archive setting for JInitiator
archive_jini=frmall_jinit.jar,frmmain.jar, frmjdapi.jar, my_icons.jar
# Forms applet archive setting for other clients (Sun Java Plugin, Appletviewer, etc)
archive=frmall.jar,frmmain.jar, frmjdapi.jar, my_icons.jar
Also added this line under orion-web-app in orion-web.xml file.
<virtual-directory virtual-path="/icons" real-path="D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java\icons" />
Restarted the OC4J forms server after any change.To test your configuration, you can try building an URL:
i.e.
http://localhost:8889/forms/frmservlet/icons/iconname.gif
Does it show the icon ?
If that does not work, I would try re-generating the my_icons.jar file, but instead of going directly to the forms/java/icons folder, copy the icons folder to the root directory i.e. c:\icons and execute the command to jar the icons folder, then redeploy the my_icons.jar file.
Then try again with the URL... if the URL does not work, you still have configuration issues.
PS: Don't forget to clear the cache in your browser so that the new .jar files is loaded?
Furthermore:
========
Remove the changes made to the forms.conf and orion-web.xml, they are only needed if the icons are
not stored in a .jar file.
forms.conf
AliasMatch ^/forms/icons/(..*) "D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java\icons/$1"
orion-web.xml
<virtual-directory virtual-path="/icons" real-path="D:\oracle\oracleas\forms\java\icons" />

Oracle Forms 10G(tabbed canvasses not working the same as in Forms 6i)
Hi everyone,
I have a form which gets called from another form through a list of value. The called form(second form) has a group of tabbed canvases which get displayed depending on the parameters passed from the first form.
The Form is working prefectly fine in Forms 6i but when I converted the same form in to forms 10G it does not seem to work the same way. The tabbed canvasses are not getting displayed. I am manually having to press the execute query to get data displayed in the tabbed canvasses. I checked the parameters that are being passed and they are the same as that in Forms 6i.
Please let me know where my 10G Form is going wrong. Appreciate your help, please send me an email on [email protected]
Thanksduplicate

This tells me you are using a 3rd party or locally developed Java Bean to perform some type of print function. Is this correct?
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed.Does your printtext.jar Java Bean need to open an HTTP connection in order to print?
Have you been able to print in the past using this Java Bean? Where did you get the Java Bean?
RegisterWebUtil - Loading WebUtil Version 10.1.2.0Your form appears to be using WebUtil. Has it been successfully configured?
Honestly, you need to list the following minimum information when you post a question; it gives us all or most of the information we need to help you and it eliminates the need for us to ask for this information. Please always include:
* Forms Version (eg; 10.1.2.0.0 not 10g)
* Java Version
* Client OS version
* What you were doing when the error occured.
