ICR Process 003 Open Items GL accounts

Hello,
I have a problem getting our open items GL accounts to be selected under Process 003 using transaction FBICS3.  I have run FBIC and included open items GL accounts in Process 003 and have run FBIC031 and have unchecked tables FBICRC003A (should I check table FBICRC001A?).  I have run FBIC004 successfully and have removed ledger 0L from process 003 in FBIC010.  I have checked the Local company field for all companies in FBIC032.  Finally, I have set up the Data Sets for our GL accounts and customers and vendors and set up the groups and sub-groups.
When I run the Select Documents FBICS3 I get all my IC cusotmer and vendor documents, however get an error message for the Open Item GL accounts that says the "group account could not be determined".  The long text says to "complete the assignment of the operational accounts to the group accounts".  What did I miss and where do I do this assignment?
Gary Pajkos

Hello Gary,
Actually you can include GL open items in process 003 (and vice versa). In FBIC032 you create a new entry for each company and select the data source GL Open Items.

Ralph

    Hi Ralph,
Yes we are having two company codes.your understanding on this point is rite.
I am using the standard file upload functionality from the presentation server for uploading the non-sap company data.since in the earlier thread i had explained very detail level, so now had made it short.
The only issue that I am having is that I have just one line item in my upload file and it is from non sap company L001 for trading partner u001. File gets loaded (data selected 1 correctly), Then after all the steps when I am in the last step (reconciliation) I see that line getting reconciled with other line available in U001 with zero difference. That looks good because it is matching as per my rule. but I am also seeing some other open items in U001 that are also getting reconciled with no lines in file with difference equal to their values. They should not show up in the bottom part of reconciliation part at all as they are still open in U001 and should not get reconciled until I put their offsetting lines in upload file from L001. So they should stay at the top right side in simple words I am seeing open items as well in reconciliation portion bottom one even I do not have any lines to reconcile them and they are showing a balance in them as well.
    Thanks in advance.
Let me know, if you need any more details.

  • ICR process for Open item recon.(003)

    Hi All,
I facing the problem "Although the field ATYPE contains the value V for vendor documents all uploaded data records in table FBICRC003A are posted with the vendor account in the field RCUST " this is one of the symptom in the note 1154899,but even after applying this note 1154899 the issue is not resolved. So in my legacy file am having both vendor and customer in the same file for the legacy company code L001.
I am referring to the structure FBICRC_S_UPLOAD provided by SAP for uploading the data. Please find below is the data format.
RCOMP   RASSC     DOCNR          ATYPE     RACCT     RTCUR     TSL
    L001     U001     1700036235     C     CCU001     USD     400
    L001     U001     1800000795     V     CCU001     USD     300-
Because of this issue, my Vendor record is getting displayed in the U001->L001->Payables area along with the customer record. So this seems to be incorrect, bcoz of the above mentioned problem.
I also debugged the standard class 'CL_FBICRC_SERVICES' and the method 'UPLOAD_DATA'
where the below mentioned lines are causing the problem of copying the vendor data into customer field.
MOVE-CORRESPONDING  needs to be clear, but it is not happening in the standard code.
Please let me know the solution to this problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Karthik

    Hello Karthik,
Please check and make sure that you also implement note 1270782. You may also simply do a note search with the terms ICR and UPLOAD_DATA to get all corrections for this data transfer method.

  • ICR Process 003 Month-End Cut-off

We have implemented ICR process 003 in the 5.0 system.  It seems that "posting period" relates to the period that the document was posted in ICR not necessarily to the customer account.  How can we get a good month-end cut-off when new documents are posted all the time.  For instance, when we run FBICS3, FBICA3, and FBICR3 after the new period begins, it will pull in documents created in the new period and all still open before in previous periods.

    Hello Staci,
The period and year you enter on the selection screen is combined with the fiscal year variant maintained in your process customizing to derive a key date for open item selection. The open items are then selected in the sender system and stored in the year and period specified on the selection screen in the ICR database. This is also explained in the first message that is displayed in the log of data selection.

  • Automatic Clearing - Open Item GL Account

    Dear Friends,
We have created the Bank Clearing Account as an open item management account. The account would be credited while making the payment to the vendor thru automatic payment run and debited once the payment has been cleared from the Bank. We would like to do the automatic clearing of the open items like GRIR account. Could you please advise what maintenance is to be done on the Config side and which T Code is to be used.
    Thanks for the help!
    Regards

    Dear Raj,
Bank clearing accounts is used to for Bank Reconciliation purpose . If you like to automate this process you have to configure Electronic Bank Statement process. You can check the below links
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPFI/ElectronicBankStatement
    http://www.sap-img.com/financial/customizing-an-electronic-bank-reconciliation-statement.htm
Note: There are so many posts with regards to Electronic Bank Statement process, you can search from the forum also.

  • How to process Customer Open Items? If that Customer is also an Vendor.

    Hi All,
I need some help for  the below configuations,
    1. How to process Customer Open Items? If that Customer is also an Vendor to the Company. ( How to adjust these open amounts)
    1. How to process Vendor Open Items? If that Vendor is also an Customer to the Company. ( How to adjust these open amounts)
    Thanks
    Chandra

    Hi Chandra,
In addition to all the above, if the Customers and Vendors are in different company codes, then, you would have to also do the following configuration.
Execute transaction code <b>OBYA</b>, when prompted, type in 1st coy code, say A and then 2nd coy code, say B. This would take you to the "<b>Maintain FI Configuration: Automatic Posting - Clearing Accounts</b>" screen.
In the first frame, where you have
    Posted in : A
    Cleared Against : B
    Under Receivable
    Debit Posting Key : <b>01</b>
Account Debit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account)
    Under Payable
    Credit Posting Key : <b>31</b>
Account Credit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account).
    In the second Frame
    Posted in : B
    Cleared Against : A
    Under Receivable
    Debit Posting Key : <b>01</b>
Account Debit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account)
    Under Payable
    Credit Posting Key : <b>31</b>
Account Credit : Account Number (The account can be a G/L account, a customer account or a vendor account).
So, if you are using the Customer/Vendor approach, company A must be set up as both a Customer(Use Txn Code <b>XD01</b>) and a Vendor(USe Txn Code <b>XK01</b>) in Company B and vice versa.
Once you have completed this set-up, you can then use transaction <b>F.13</b> and/or <b>F13E</b> to carry out your automatic clearing.
However, if you intend to use the G/L approach, then the account numbers would be Inter-coy G/L account for each coy code as defined in the chart of accounts.
    I hope the above helps.
Do not forget to award the points please.
    Regards,
    Jacob

  • ICR Process 003- Adding new field BVORG

    Hi,
I am hoping Ralph will see this post and grant some of his wisdom.  I have searched this forum as well as OSS and can't seem to find a good answer to my issue.
I am in the process of implementing the ICR Process 003 in our development system.  I have added field BVORG for the purposes of matching, but it remains blank in FBICRC003A.  I have done the following:
    1.  FBIC006-  Added BVORG with the Sender field BVORG
    2.  FBIC004-  Reactivated the Transaction data tables and can see BVORG was added
    3.  FBRC008-  Verified BVORG is added as a Subassignment
I even started from scratch before this by deleting all data in FBICRC003A and Ledger I3.  I realize old data may not be populated, but after the above configuration and activation, the BVORG field in the line items table still remains blank on new postings.
Any thoughts on what I may have missed?  I did find one OSS Note 1405114, but this seems to apply to Process 002 not 003.  Is there a corresponding note for Process 003 or another solution?
    thanks in advance
    Nathan

    Hello John,
BVORG cannot be filled at the time of posting - just like the FI document number. This is why you cannot maintain this in the field movement.
This information is supplied by program FBICRC002_DOCNR_SELECT. The program is automatically executed in sender systems where data is picked up by data selection. If you post directly into your reconciliation ledger you need to execute the program yourself - a good time would be right before automatic assignment. If you have the corrections of note 1405114 applied to the program it will fill BVORG if the field exists in your ledger.
I do not understand why you would add that field to the totals table, though. This will result in a lot of additional entries in your totals table - one for each BVORG. You really should add this field to the line item table only!
    Best regards,
    Ralph

  • ICR Process 003 - question about data selection (table FBICRC003A)

Hello, I am implementing ICR process 003. We are doing several test and we I have some questions that I hope you can help me:
1 - If I run transaction FBICS3 - Customer/Vendor(  Select Documents) and then FBICA3 - Customer/Vendor (Document Assignment ) several times (the same selection criteria) will the same documents be selected redundantly and will be stored redundantly in table FBICRC003A? I expected that this will not happen but It seems to happen in my test environment. (?)
2- If I need to delete the data stored in ICR '003' functionality I need to use transaction GCDE. The problem as I am using ledger '0L' for '003' process I cannot "delete data of one ledger" functionality -that allows to set selection data- and I have to "delete the data of an entire data group" that deletes all data stored in FBICRC003A & FBICRC003T tables. Should I set another ledger for '003' process in order to delete data using selection criteria? Is it recommended to not to use '0L' and create a new one?
I have read in reference documentation that "is not necessary to set up a SL", but since all my productive companies are running in the same client that is the ICR cliente I am wondering if could be better to create and set a SL.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Ralph,
we have created a RFC in order to get data from client B to client A (where ICR system is placed). The summary is:
I need to import vendors/customer data from Client B that belongs to a certain company code "0001". The company is called "X" in both clients A & B although it only exists as a company code (FI) in Client B and just as a company (and trading partner) in client A.
    Client A:
1- have set company "0001" as a "Company to be reconciled" at FBIC032:
    RFC destination = ""
RFC destination for data selection = "ZRFC0001"
    Local company= ""
    Data Source="Documents of Current Process"
    Separate Selection Process= "X"
Data Transfer Type="Asynchronous via Direct RFC Connection"
Sender field for reference number = "XBLNR"
    Client B:
1- I have created the companies (V_T880) that I will need in order to inform trading partner on vendor's master data.
2- I have assigned company code '0001' to company "X"
3- I have assigned trading partners created on step 1 to vendors
4- I have post few FI documents with trading partners informed.
Then I run FBICS3 - Customer/Vendor: Select Documents in background but the programs takes a lot of time and do not select any document.
Do you think that I am missing something?
    Thanks very much in advance.

  • Accrual Engine- Open Item Gl Account

    Hi
In case of Accrual engine , I am trying to post to target account which is Open item managed .
I know system will not allow to post to OI .
Is there a workaround for this ??

What would be the problem in posting to open item managed account??
    Please clarify.

  • Open item management accounts

    Hi
can any one give me some example of GL accounts which will maintain open item management accounts other GR/IR and rent clearing accounts.
    ramesh

    Hi
All Sub ledgers are 'Open Item Management'.
Other than GR/IR, Rent clearing accounts.
We can use 'Provision for Outstanding Expenses' a/c as 'Open Item Management', where provisional expenses are booked and cleared upon receipt of actual invoices, like electricity, rent, telephone etc.

  • Fagl_fc_valu for open item managed accounts

    Hi,
I have an open item managed account and I have activated the delta posting logic.  In January, an entry was made and not cleared.  The open item managed account was valuated at month end and an entry was posted to an adjustment account and unrealized gain.
With the delta logic, I have not adopted the monthly reversal.
Early in February, the item is cleared.  The document created posts an amount to realized gain and an offset to the adjustment account.
At month end February, I run fagl_fc_valu and there are two entries created.  Effectively, they reverse themselves with entries to the balance sheet adjustment account and the realized gain account.
First question, why do I get these two entries  In the text description, one says RXDAdjustment Posting.  The other says RXDTRAAdjustment Posting.
Second question, how do I get the January entry to unrealized gain to reverse.  Will this need to be a manual entry or is there something with configuration that can fix this.
    Thank you

As per the New GL design it is not possible to post an entry specific to non lead ledger  to a GL which is open item managed. The reason is very clear. In non lead ledgers we do not do clearing we only do adjustments entries. Clearing can only be done in a lead ledger. Ask yourself about making a payment to a vendor from non lead ledger. It is not at all sensible.
What you need to do to handle this scenario is to create a new GL (if it is a B/S account then mark it as line item managed and in the text you need to mention that this account is specific to non Lead ledger postings. There is no way in ECC 6.0 to flag a GL for non lead ledgers only. Once you create this account you can post an entry to this using T Code FB50L. From financials standpoint you can club this new GL in the same group or number range where you have the same account with open item managed checkbox.
SAP is working to extend the clearing functionality to non lead ledgers but I am not sure which enhancement pack will have this feature. Till that time you need to follow the solution as described above.
    Hope this helps

    Thanks and Regards,

    HI,
For Archiving must full fill creteria:

    Provision for Taxation
    Provision for Wealth Tax

    Provision for Proposed Dividend
    Provision for Tax (MAT)
For all above accounts can we manage as OPEN ITEM managed accounts???
    pls clarify me
    regards,
    shashi.

    Hi,
Provision is expenses account, means it's P&L. so it's not advisable to use open item management due to:
Accounts that are managed on an open item basis:
    Clearing accounts:
    Bank clearing account
    Payroll clearing account
    Cash discount clearing account
    GR/IR clearing account
Hope this will solve ur problem.
    TQ

  • Post open item management account into non-leading ledger independently

I want to use FB50L to post an open item management account balance value into non-leading ledger, the system throws out an error.
I know it can not delete the sign ---open item.
    Could anyone give some advice?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
Open item management account  as an adjustment account.
By your description the adjustment account for GL account is the same
at Trx OBA1, so this is the reason for error message
FAGL_FC_VAL does not allow Open item management account as an adjustment account
in standard because normally there are more than one ledger set up,
and  Open item management account must be valid for all ledgers (as the clearing can't be
carried out by ledger). If FAGL_FC_VAL allows this and made the posting
on one specific non-ledger, this basic rule can't be fulfilled.
It's same as trx. FB50L that doesn't allow Open item management account to be
entered in case of ledger-specific posting.
FAGL_POST_SERVICE012. This is justified because open items must be
made valid for all ledgers in the client, and even if there's only one
ledger (0L) in your case that this is also considered as 'ledger-
    specific' posting.
Please also check the SAP note:
    1239651 FAGL_FC_VALUATION: Posting with a ledger
However you can apply SAP note 884639 to remove the ledger group from
FAGL_FC_VAL posting, and this way the Open item management account can be
used as an adjustment account. However please note that SAP note 884639
is MODIFICATION and the coding could be overwritten by applying the
    support package or with upgrade.
    Thanks,
    Raviteja
