Idsync resync java error Sun-- NT
Hello there,
We're trying to sync a Sun DS 5.2 with Id Sync for Windows 1 2003Q4 with an NT primary domain controller, and have run into some errors when idsync resync is run for the first time.
# ./idsync resync -D "cn=Directory Manager" -w "ourpassword" -h ldap.ourdomain.edu -p 389 -s "o=ourdomain.org" -q "ourpassword" -o Sun -c

Refresh operation '1100205769552' failed because connector 'CNN101' was reset.
The central error and audit logs show that ldap & NT are communicating, but the NT side throws a java error when refresh SUL action is sent:

Has anyone seen this before?
The NT box is running NT4, service pack 6, with Java 1.4.2_05. The Sun end is Solaris 9, DS 5.2.2 with patches for Id sync 2004Q3 installed. We do not have any AD connections with this installation.
Thanks very much,
P.J.
You also need to supply the configuration password using the -q option. Hope this helps.

Trying to sync from ds5.2 to AD

The DN used above is the DN for Ds5.2
I am new to this , can any one help.
Thanks,You also need to supply the configuration password using the -q option. Hope this helps.

Idsync resync - To populate empty directory!
Hi folks,
I have setup message Q (enterprise edition), Sun Java DS 5.2 patch 4 and ISW 1 2004Q3 as according to the docs on Solaris 10. I do have a AD in operation. I'm trying to sync my DS with AD.
Before starting ISW I read I have to run the idsync resync command to populate my empty DS on Solaris. I have three SULs created when i installed my ISW component. I also try to make use of xml file to amtch the attributes.
But when I run the idsync resync command with the parameters as
./idsync resync -D "cn=Directory Manager" -w bind password -h hostname -q config password -f filename -i ALL_USERS|NEW_LINKED_USERS
It starts by saying validating and refreshing .
Entries sent: 1
Entries that could not belinked: 1
Entries sent: 14
Entries that could not be linked: 14
SUCCESS
But actually no entries are linked. I checked the resync log but there are no related error messages on running the above command. The same is the case by looking into error.log or audit.log files.
Someone kindly advice as its frustrating as not able to populate data.
NOTE: Some additional info--- I have created few containers under people and group which shows as being created by uid=admin
Thanks
casaI have re-opened this question since the problem appears in ISW 6.0 Solaris version but intermittent in Windows versio.

Hello,
We have installed DSEE 7.0 & ISW 6.0 on Solaris 10.
Active Directory is running on Windows 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition (64-bit)
We have one way syncronization (LDAP -> AD)
I have a flat file with list of users that I want to run "idsync resync" on so that it will create those accounts on AD.
I can run:
/opt/SUNWisw/bin/idsync resync (various other flags here) -a "uid=<account_name>"
The above command successfully creates the account on AD.
Question I have is:
Is there a way I can specify a "list file" in this command?
Any ideas on this will be great!
Thank you,Hello Marco,
I did try that, and it works, but issue is speed...
After syncing each user, connection between two server closes and it is re-established before processing next user. Here is some info from log file:
"Shutting down the object cache."
"Shutting down the database checkpoint thread."
"The object cache database connection pool has been closed."
"Closing the object cache database environment."
"The object cache database environment has been closed."
"The object cache has been shutdown."
"Starting 4 controller threads"
"About to open the object cache database environment."
"The object cache database environment has been opened."
"When establishing LDAP connections over SSL, the connector will accept any certificate from the LDAP server."
"Established a connection to the Sun Java(TM) System Message Queue Broker as user: with clientID: "
And, it took close to 2-hours to process about 100 users. So, I was looking for a way to specify a file list...
Thank you, -

SQL Developer 3.2 crashes with java error when using OCI/Thick Driver
I just installed SQL Developer 3.2 on my linux desktop. SQL Developer crashes with a java error when I select a database from the object tree.
When I check Use OCI/Thick driver the application will crash when I navigate to the tree and open a database.
The app does not crash then I have Use OCI/Thick driver unchecked.
Here are some details of my environment:

My configuration is:
- Windows 64-bit
- Java 64-bit (1.6.0.34)
- SQL Developer 3.2.09 64-bit
- OCI Instant client 11.2.0.3 64-bit (without installation).
The thing that solved the problem was copying two files, ojdbc5.jar and ojdbc6.jar, from Instant client installation folder to JAVA_HOME/lib/ext folder+.
After that, I haven't had a single crash or error message.
The same trick that solved the problem on 64-bit installation also solved the problem on another windows computer with 32-bit SQL Developer installation. -

I have already done the followings
1) Do a fresh install of a complete 9.2.0.1 RDBMS and this should not be on top of a previous home ,
2) Configure a dedicated listener for just installed 9.2.0.1 database
listening on physical hostname ,
3) Run EMCA to configure the OMS on physical hostname, previously configured listener and freshly installed 9.2.0.1 database ,
4) Check the symbolic links for $ORACLE_HOME/jre/1.1.8/bin/javakey and $ORACLE_HOME/jre/1.1.8/bin/rmi.registry are OK ,
5) open oemctl file and check whether PATH is set correctly to $ORACLE_HOME/jre/1.1.8/bin .
Note:
I have got Jre installed on different path i.e. /opt/oracle/jre
the the path in oemctl is pointing to the above path.
Any idea ???
I am using 9.2.0.6 database version, and everything else is working fine
Regards,Hi, Did you ever solve this - I have the same problem, agent and everything else works fine...
Thanks for any comments/suggestions....?

Java error when connecting to repository
Hello,
I installed the latest Oracle Data Integrator 11g (11.1.1.5.0) a while ago on Windows XP and it worked fine.
However, yesterday I upgraded Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) for Visual Studio .Net to the latest version, ODAC 11.2 Release 4 (11.2.0.3.0).
I also upgraded Java on this computer to the latest release.
Now when I try to connect to the ODI Repository, I am getting the following Java error:

Thank you Phanikanth for your help, this may be the right solution!
It makes sense to me:
Step 1: Install latest Java JDK from Oracle site (there shouldn't be any old ODI version installed on your drive at this point. If there is, then uninstall it prior to Step 1)
Step 2: Install latest version of ODI.
Following these steps will probably resolve the issue.

Edited by: user5429729 on Feb 25, 2010 1:26 PMHi,
Does it proceed further after showing the error ?
Or you can't open the package at all?
Also one more thing, did you upgrade only the server side?
Is the cient side also on the same version?
Reshma -
Using xMII 11.5 SP3, one of our other xMII developers is getting the following Java error when launching the BLS editor:
Unable to load resource: http://xmiid.oxy.com/Lighthammer/CMSLogicEditor/activation.jar
His computer was reimaged a couple of days ago with our standard image (Windows XP SP2, IE6 SP2). It worked fine on his computer prior to the re-image. He's reloaded Sun Java 1.4.2_01 on his computer (our company default is 1.4.1_01.)
I can't duplicate the error on any of our test computers - one of which was also recently re-imaged.
Any ideas?
DavidDavid,
So other standard imaged machines are running 1.4.2_01 and have no issues? I would expect to see problems with the webstart cookie handling for that version, but I'm running _15....
Try clearing the Java WS cache on the problematic client instance to watch it try to download all the libraries fresh.
File...Preferences, reconfirm that the None radio button is selected on the General tab, and then on the Advanced tab, press the Clear Folder button.
You could also make sure before hitting the editor link in the Menu.jsp that there are no dead or leftover javaws processes running in the task manager.
