If you can no longer rent, where do Apple TV purchases store?

I know that Apple TV recently removed to rental options from iTunes and Apple TV. Given this, I have a question related to purchases on Apple TV. If I make a purchase on the Apple TV itself, once downloaded, where does the purchase live (on the cloud, synced to my iTunes account, etc)? Thanks, Dan

I got confused when I saw the posting about "stll being able to rent", as I knew that Apple discontinued all TV rental services through iTunes and Apple TV. I'm not sure if movie rentals have been discontinued as well, however, I see that the option to rent is still available via iTunes on my iPhone.
In terms of what happens when a show is purchased, I did see (as Winston suggested) how that works. I bought something (LOST), and after purchase it showed up on my Apple TV download list. Once I synced my iPad and iPhone it also showed up on those devices, as well as under the "Television" tab on my iMac (in iTunes). Thus, it appears as if all purchases (and I suspect movie rentals as well) are maintained on the "Cloud".

I've just discovered that with the newest version of iTunes you can no longer delete apps you don't want. You used to be able to do so by connecting to to desktop computer and delete them. Tech support said you can't delete apps anymore. Not Good!

You used to be able to do so by going onto iTunes on your desktop computer and deleting them. Not Good! I just called tech support and they said that in this version there is no way to delete them. While we're on the subject, I don't like the fact the the iPod touch comes with unistalable apps such as: Passbook, Nike & iPod, Newsstand, and Game Center. Don't want them, will never use them. Give customers the option to delete apps that we don't want. Call Apple's corporate customer care. escalation, and complain untill they fix this.

My own opinion is that you should install the later appropriate version of Silverkeeper. That said, I would in fact recommend if you can wait a few days for an answer, that you email the La Cie Silverkeeper backup team via the email link on the site at http://www.lacie.com/silverkeeper/
They are careful to say they are not officially providing a backup service, but when I emailed them with a query regarding usage about a year ago after downloading Silverkeeper for myself, I got a reply within a couple of days that cleared up my question.

You can no longer change the password

Good day!
I have a problem on a Netweaver 2004s BI server.
When a user tries to change his password at the logon screen, the error message : "You can no longer change the password" appears.
To clarify, user types his current user id and password in the logon screen, then clicks the "New Pasword" button. Then immediately the "You can no longer change the password" appears.
This is not similar to the message that says you can only change your password once per day.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Ah.. that was interesting.. actually you wouldn't know about these errors which do not give u a clue.. in the right direction unless you have faced the problem. Good that the problem is resolved.
Its more quicker to actually help, if you have access to the system.
This error could have been easily sorted out by checking system log entry and audit logs or SUIM.

Well, that's kind of embarrassing. And I honestly thought I paid attention to that... It works perfectly now, thank you so much!
As expected, cdm-git also works fine since DMs only work in the root mode as of now.
Just for the record, both type commands output "/usr/bin/startx" and pacman -Q gives "systemd 215-4".

Certainly being able to mute/unmute sends by opt click would be better than having to write it in the automation track or creating a ghost send track.
How about having a bypass inserts switch for all inserts within a channel as well ?
Also, lets have nodes available on bus/auxs.

Can no longer send mail through Apple Mail

Starting yesterday morning, I can no longer send mail via Apple Mail. I can receive it just fine, but when I try to send, it struggles for a minute, then leaves the message in my Outbox. When I open Mail's "Connection Doctor," it says "Could not connect to this SMTP server"; it says this for all three SMTP servers I routinely use, including smtp.mac.com.
No other computer in my house has this problem. In fact, if I switch to a different account on my Mac and use Apple Mail with these same smtp servers, it works fine.
Needless to say, this is completely mystifying to me. Does anyone have any idea what's happening, or how to correct the problem?

Do my eyes deceive me? Am I dreaming? Could it really be true? Looks like Apple (finally) fixed this issue! Simply update your Mac to 10.5.5. It might reboot several times. That is normal. When it finally reaches the desktop open your Mail app and try sending. It should now work for you. I couldn't be any happier, after over a year without Mail it's finally working again! Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.

I'd be very surprised if AirPlay will work as it will only work with Apple TV with the following:

I've not seen it at stores, but each store has its own space restrictions, which may affect whether or not it is stocked. Call your store and ask. The number for Apple's own retail store is on http://www.apple.com/retail/ and the extension is usually 5 to speak to a real person. If you get AppleCare, you have been redirected off the store's phone system.

One clue: I have found a reliable way to solve the problem when it happens.
In my network, I have the main Airport Extreme (Gen 1) which is connected to my router, which distributes IP addresses to my internal subnet. The other two AEs (one Gen 4, one Gen 5) are set to extend the network.
When I get this problem with an AppleTV 2 that can "see" my library, but when I try to open it, it says it couldn't find the library, it seems to have to do with a change in which Airport Extreme it's talking to.
If I restart the main Airport Extreme from the Airport Utility, effectively restarting the entire wireless network, then when the network resumes, every AppleTV 2 is happy again.
Unfortuntely, the problem does seem to recur - but I'm wondering if it's because temporary interference leads an AppleTV 2 to try to connect to a different AE, and somehow that's mucking with the Home Sharing. Remember, internet access (Trailers, Store, Netflix) have no issues. Purely Home Sharing.
