IFrame in Template

CS3 doesn't want me to insert an iframe into a template. The menu under Insert>HTML is grayed out, and when I hand code it the preview shows only the content of the iframe and nothing of the rest of the page.
I used iframes in templates before and it worked. I don't remember using any hacks for that.
Any help greatly appreciated.

DW Template (.dwt) pages are less forgiving of code errors than regular HTML pages.

  • External Link or iFrames to show a deployed application inside my portal template

    Greetings,
    after days of posting in WebLogic Portal discussion forums with no reply, im posting the same
    discussion here, hoping someone can help me out with this task.
    Im using JDeveloper 11.1.1.7 and i create a web portal application.
    I have adf application deployed to a standalone weblogic server that works fine.
    In my portal i add a extrernal link, inside default-navigation-model (used from oracle's example)
    to render my application inside the portal's context area. (i try to use iFrames, but it didn't work)
    If i add another web page, it works fine, it shows my portal menu on top where the banner is, the menu,
    and below the website. But when i add a extrernal link to show my application, it shows nothing, just
    blank white background. I also noticed this, it happens if i add google website too.
    Is there any security i have to turn it off in weblogic so it can be rendered on my web portal?

    Have you set FRAME_BUSTINH?
    Check Unable to load content in a frame. Frame content will load at the top level

  • Template is nested inside itself (directly or indirectly)

    Hello helpful folks of the Forum.
    I had a template (test.dwt) based on which 60 of my pages are built and I dont know what happened now that whenever I try to update, all the editable contents of the 60 pages gets deleted.  I was getting an error "template is nested inside itself (directly or indirectly)
    Can someone please take a look at the template and let me know what is wrong and how I can fix it.   If I create a similar tempalte and name it test.dwt, will it work ?    Thanks for your help.

    This will happen if you mistakenly save a Child page as a Template.dwt and overwrite your original Template file. Do you have a backup of your original Template stored some place safe?

  • How to take data from HTML Template into BSP Variable?

    hi all,
                can we take the data from the input field of HTML Template and collect into BSP variable? i have the shown the HTML Template into BSP page by passing the url in <IFRAME> tag now i have to take the data form the into field of HTML Template and save it back to the BSP table onclicking the Save button of BSP Page. please help me out thanks in advance.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amol

    Hi Amol,
    This is very simple....
    In the onInputProcessing event of the page use the following code to read data from the InputField into an ABAP variable...
    Then you can use it at will..!
    Code is :
    data : event       TYPE REF TO if_htmlb_data,
           but_event   TYPE REF TO cl_htmlb_event_button.
    event = cl_htmlb_manager=>get_event( request ).
    IF event->EVENT_NAME = 'button' and event->EVENT_TYPE = 'click'.
          but_event ?= event.
          CASE event->EVENT_ID.
            when 'your_button_id'.
              data : lw_inf type ref to cl_htmlb_inputfield.
                 lw_inf ?= cl_htmlb_manager=>get_data(
                                request = runtime->server->request
                                name    = 'inputField'
                                id      = 'your_inputField_id'  ).
              if lw_inf->value is not initial.
                lw_variable = lw_inf->value.
              endif.
         ENDCASE.
    ENDIF.

  • SAP BW Web Report : Web Template

    Hi,
    I have created a SAP Query view and a web template.  Then i have created the web report using the below URL.
    http://port/sap/bw/Pub?sap-language=EN&cmd=ldoc&TEMPLATE_ID=TEMPLATE1
    Later i added filter condition sin the web template and created the URL which filter values for that particular Cost Center.
    http://port/sap/bw/PUB?SAP-LANGUAGE=EN&CMD=LDOC&FILTER_VALUE=7&TEMPLATE_ID=TEMPLATE1&FILTER_IOBJNM_1=COSTCENTERA&FILTER_VALUE_1=7046
    I face issues with the below points.
    1.     Now the Title of the web report has to be changed.  Where can i change this ? ( HTML code / web template )
    2.     The Title of the report is selected from a Region Value from the .css file.  Is there any relation between this fiel and ABAP code at the backend.
    3.     The Cost center has hierarchy values at the back end.  Even if I do not enable the hierarchy for Cost center, I get values for that parent node.  But the child nodes show extra projects if hierarchy is enabled.  Should that be enabled ?
    4.     In the view I am getting both the fileds Cost centerA and Costcenter B.  But  in the report for filter COSTCENTERA=7046, I get only COSTCENTERB and vise-versa.  What could be the reason ? What should I do to get both the fileds in the Web report.
    Appreciating your valuable suggestions on the above points.
    Please help me in resolving these issues.
    Many thanks

    Hi Vlad,
    I revised the code as below and now Iam able to sucessfully execute the report in BPS layout, however the BPS variable value is not passing to the BI Report; any ideas... Thanks Again...

    var filter = '&FILTER_IOBJNM=0COMP_CODE&FILTER_COLLAPS=&FILTER_VALUE_EXT=';
    // Example using fiscal year 2004 and variant K4: K4/2004 => comp = #K4/#
    var comp = '';
    var appl = 'BPSREPOR';
    var varvl = '<%descr(BPS_VARIABLE/value)%>';
    // Option: Adjust the 'SELECT' to your local language
    if (varvl != "" && varvl != "-- SELECT --"){
    // expected formatting of variable selector: Text(Key) or Key
    var convert = /((.*))/;
    convert.exec(varvl);
    // If there is value in brackets it is the key
    if ( RegExp.$1 != "") varvl = RegExp.$1;
    // create URL
    url = url + appl + filter + varvl;
    alert (url);
    // remove possible white spaces
    url = url.replace(/ /,"");
    // set source attribute of iframe to new URL
    frame.src = url;
    </script>

  • Opening a link from one iframe into another

    Hello,
    I have a web template in which there are three iframes. Each Iframe has a different web template embedded in it. I want to open a link present in one iframe into another.
    Example:
    iframe 1 (id: left) contains a link google dot com (or a link to a different web template)
    when i click on the link, i want this page to open in iframe 2 (id: right)
    Can anyone help me on how this can be done? I'm working in WAD7.0 and hence iframes.
    Another question related to this is:
    Can we create resizable iframes? In the older version of WAD, HTML was used and this was possible through framesets.
    In NEW WAD 7.0, XHTML does not support framesets. So is there any other way to do it?
    Regards,
    Sameer

    Either file is corrupt, theres' a corresponding .idlk file in the same folder, or it isn't really an indesign file.
    How was the file transfered? What is the file extension?

  • Showing the XML publisher report in an iframe..

    Hi all..
    Please help me with this question.
    Before: We had a "http page" and we are showing a XML Publisher report which is also in "http" ,in an iframe of the parent page. Previously it was working fine, as both are http.
    *** Basically we are generating a URL of the report and showing it in a iframe of the web application****
    Now: Recently we configured ssl to the parent page (https), and the report sever is still in "http". Because of this difference, whenever we are calling that report,it is showing a security alert and redirecting to totally wrong page.
    Is there any configurations that i can do in the ""report server" to rectify this issue.Please help me with this issue.
    Thank u

    Hi Ravi ,
    can i do it only with the xml Publisher , because when i tried it in the past and get all the staff like Template / DD / CP up and running and started the CR i get an error from the system that he is missing a report directly in the file system... so he searched for the report himself on system like a standard 6i Report. But the template and the dd is stored in the db. So my question again, can I use the XML Puplisher without a Standard Report or can i use a dummy file only for checking and after that he use my template / dd.
    regards
    Kay

  • Help needed with Template Footer displacing with addition of a float..

    I have a template for a web page and I am a little stuck now with an issue related to floating an image (left) to get the text to wrap around. As I do so, the footer at the bottom displaces and I cannot work out why?
    Any help greatly appeciated. I cannot seem to attach a file so you can see it.  the domain is http://www.nataliemariemakeup.co.uk. This will be the 'Bridal' page.

    1) Padding is only placed on the top and/or bottom of the div. The elements within this div have padding on their sides. This saves you from any "box model math". Keep in mind, if you add any side padding or border to the div itself, it will be added to the width you define to create the *total* width. You may also choose to remove the padding on the element in the div and place a second div within it with no width and the padding necessary for your design.

    Unfortunately it didn't sort out the problem. The footer has been displaced to the right and I don't see why it should, when I added a 'float' property to the picture to enable the text to wrap around.
    Can someone please advise?
    It seems if I change the padding px numbers it moves the images within the footer around. How do I ensure that these are fixed in place? I have created a template, which may have the problem in.
    Am I missing something?

  • Can't figure out how to insert an html within my template

    I've searched, but perhaps I am not using the correct terminology. I apologize if this has been addressed elsewhere.
    We have a vendor who is trying to mimic my webpage for our customers who sign on to her service. My problem is that I don't like having versions of our webpage outside our organization because I'll have to get them to update every time I make a change to our page. I know it will be forgotten at some point. What I'd like to do is set up a page on our site and insert their html content page within my template framework. There is a form that needs to link to their site so it needs to live on their server. I tried inserting an html, but it didn't work. I know in the olden days I used to be able to do this in PageMill. Now, I just can't figure out how to do it. Does anyone know the secret?
    Here is a sample page on my site showing what I'm trying to do: http://www.franklinebranch.com/TEST.html. I'm using DW CS5.
    Thanks for any suggestions. Anna

    That's what I was afraid of. Is IFrame a separate program?

  • Iframe Issue with Safari

    Hello,
    I am a web designer and the website I'm working on can be viewed at www.newjerseyrates.com.
    I am using iframes and am having problems displaying the correct url in the iframe in the Safari browser only. It works fine on Chrome, IE and Firefox.
    The url appearing in the iframe on the home page should be www.guaranteedrate.com/loanoptions/vpname/leezacharczyk and the one coming up is www.guaranteedrate.com/loanoptions.
    Can you tell me how to fix this?  Thank you.

  • Importing Bridge Web Gallery into template with java drop down menu

    The iframe option from the tutorial David Powers referred readers to in the Bridge discussion board was easy and looks great....  EXCEPT the iframe covers up my java script dropdown navigation menu.  Is there an easy way to fix this, or do I have to use the more cumbersome alternate method?
    I built my site using a template I created in Dreamweaver. This complicates using the alternate method described in the David Powers tutorial which adds page elements to the index.html file created by Bridge.  How do I take what I need from that file and place it into the page based on my site's template?
    (Sorry to repeat my question in both discussion boards.  Got a not-very-helpful direction from the moderator of the other discussion board to ask the question here instead of there.)

    I should probably add that i am working in asp!

  • Template / generic page that holds items that are common to all pages

    Hello,
    I have to create around 50 pages which contain different items such as text boxes, check boxes, select lists etc. The pages also have some items that are the same on each page, for example the the 'previous', 'next' and 'save' button as well as a report region that is common to each of the 50 pages.
    Is there a way to separate the unique items and the common items of a page? For example I tried to do it with a modified version of Carl’s report pull (http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11933:48) that inserts (via AJAX) a page into the current page (like iframe). So I in the end I would have 51 pages; 50 pages with unique items and one page which would contain the common items and embed the others. But I would have problems with storing the values of the embedded page by clicking ‘save’ on my master page, since the values are not available on two different pages…
    Or is it maybe possible to create a template page which I could assign to my 50 pages that would contain all the common items?
    The easy reason why I would appreciate such a solution is that if I wanted to change a common element, I wouldn’t have to go on each single page but to change it just once for all pages. This would make the 50 pages much easier to maintain.
    Any ideas or suggestions?
    Thanks and regards,
    tomtom

    Hi Scott,
    page zero is a great suggestion. However, we don't need the items on each page. We could maybe exclude those few pages from page zero...
    Also we are looking into PL/SQL Server Pages: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14251/adfns_psp.htm
    Do they work in APEX-- could we include items (buttons etc) in the common code?
    Thanks,
    tomtom

  • Display BW report in WD IFrame

    Hi All,
    I have a WD application.
    The application shows BW reports by selecting dates
    I create the reports dynamically by creating URL and setting the URL in IFrame UI element.
    This works, but the first time I try to see a report I get a Internet Explorer pop up window for user and password.
    I have a SSO configured for BW in the portal but when using IFrame in WD I don't use the system.
    How can I prevent the popup for the user and password (except for sending them directly in the URL...)
    Can I use BW template URL (which is bind to a system) with dynamic parameters?
    thanks,
    Omri

    Hi Deng,
    Goto Start-- All ProgramsBusiness ExplorerQuery designer..
    It will ask you choose the BW server and ask for details.
    Once connected you need to create the query that will give your report.
    Execute the query there and you will get the URL.
    Type the same url in the PDA browser...
    it will show your report.
    I forgot to mention...Business explorer is only seen on the start menu if you have installed it during SAP Gui installation.
    Also i believe your BW server is in the same LAN which your comp is connected.

  • Bi call document browser from web template wad 7.0

    Hi,
    Is it possible to customize the document browser dialog when calling via command "OPEN_DIALOG_DLG_DOC_BROWSER" from web template.
    The iframe within the browser has a fixed size, so when opening a document the iframe is always too small and does not change the size, also when changing the size of the document browser window.
    Is there a possibility opening the documents in a new window instead of opening in the iframe?
    From WAD I have not found any possibility solving this. Maybe it's possible to change the web dynpro. Does anybody know the web dynpro / component for the document browser?
    Regards,
    René
