IFrames and other Hyperlink attributes

Currently there is no way to link from a menu to a specific iframe. Many web designers like to have the visitor stay on their website and view information. A good example are Google embedded maps. But if I, for example, had many map areas, I would have to create several child pages having the Google map code and then link to that page. But, that would replace the whole page and not show up in one spot over and over again. Or I could point to an anchor with the maps on the same page. When the simplest means is to have a TARGET attribute with the link that would send the information to a single iframe. No extra pages, no extra long single page. Currently you can choose one of our own pages. You can choose to open in another window or tab. You can choose a file. Or you can type in an url site. There is a easy fix to this.
1. Have a options section when you click 'Hyperlinks' that lists all common placement areas such as _blank, _self, _top _parent, _new, iframe.
or
2. Just allow the user to click on the hyperlink button and type in target="{iframe name}" or "{attribute}" like they would a url.
or
3. Have a 'target' choice in the hyperlink dropdown that lets the user type in the same place as the url what he needs. ie: iframe name, _attribute
Currently the only way a user can specify specific areas is to publish and then copy the html, then find the code where they can add the target information. This is difficult to make sure you get all the right html code.

You can go to Page > Page Properties > Metadata, and in the HTML for <head>: area, paste:
<base target="_parent" />
This sets the base target to "_parent". It's important not to have the "Open in new window" selectected, otherwise that will overwrite the base target.

Interactive PDF weirdness: buttons, sound, and other hyperlink intrigue

Hi everyone.
1. I'm trying to see if there's any way whatsoever to make a "Back" button (like in a browser) in an interactive PDF work correctly on an iPad. I did a test doc that works fine on a Mac, but on the iPad, the buttons don't even appear in iBooks, Notability or GoodNotes. In the iPad's version of Adobe Reader, they are visible, but don't do anything. I've searched the ID forums trying to figure out what info is outdated, but am beginning to think that Back/Forward buttons just plain won't work on an iPad. Is there any work around? (I don't have Acrobat or other Adobe programs, so I guess the question should be, "Is there a workaround without having to pay more big buckaroos for an additonal Adobe program?")
2. Oh, and sound doesn't work on either the Mac nor iPad, although the button does show up on all the iPad apps I mentioned. Besides the fact that the button doesn't work, it does seem odd to me that it does show up in these other programs, whereas the previous/next buttons don't even show up.
3. Another weirder weirdness: I have a 4-page test document with some hyperlinks on a master page which is applied to all four pages. The hyperlinks have various visible/invisible, think/thin Adobe rectangles around them, so I could see what they look like. Yet when I export to an Interactive PDF, although the hyperlinks appear on all four pages, they only work on one page—in one export, only the first page, and in a subsequent export, only on the second page. AND only one of the rectangles shows up at all, and only on the first page, at that. I've reapplied the master page multiple times, and replaced my prefs as described at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/526990. No change. I have no idea what's going on!
This is on a iMac i7, and most up-to-date versions of the OS and ID: OS X 107.2, ID CS 5.5 (V7.5.2.318), and an iPad 2, with all current, update software.

For 1. and 2.: concerning PDFs, there is no "on Mac" and "on iPad". Both are mere environments in which software runs. It depends entirely on which software you are using.
There is not a single PDF reader available for the iPad that supports everything Adobe Reader can do on a modern desktop. As for your "on Mac", you don't say so but I bet you are using OS X's Preview application, which is not by Adobe and also does not support any of the more advanced functions possible in PDFs.

Hover Hyperlink State in Drop-Down Menu and other Hyperlink display problems

So, I'm finishing my new website for a client, but a have some problems:
At first:
I putted a Drop-Down Menu and it contains hyperlinks. Normal. But, I can't give a specific state to each hyperlink in the under-menus, I only can put a state for the global link in the Under-Menu! I can put a hover state to a normal HyperLink but not those into a Drop-Down Menu! It is normal?
How can I make that each link in the Under-Menu has a specific hover state and not all together in the same group! (pictures jointed)
(what I want to do with the links into the menu. - Juste a picture, not from A-Muse)
Then:
When I want to manage my website on BusinessCatalyst, I see strange underlines under my Menu links! (picture). But on Adobe Muse, I see no underline to these links! What's the matter? ^^

How can edit hyperlink attributes?

Adobe Muse 2014: I can't seem to figure out how to change hyperlink attributes such as: remove the underline, changing size or color, or pretty much anything to do with links. I see them under Character Style Options, but don't see anywhere to change them. I know it's going to be a goofy question and that I'll find it right after posting, but I can't find anything online about it.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Go to "Hyperlinks" in your top toolbar. Click the word "Hyperlinks" (which is hyperlinked and shows as blue text). When the little window pops up, click "Edit Link Styles". You should get a "Site Properties" window. Click the "Content" tab.

When I try to load a pdf in iframe and I disable PDF toolbar, Its working fine in Internet Explorer and lower versions of Firefox, but in Firefox 19 its not

When I try to load a PDF inside Iframe and I disable toolar=0 (as guided by adobe). I am able to see the iframe with PDF with no toolbar in IE and lower versions of Firefox (till version 14).
But in my current version 29, The PDF is visible with toolbar on top.
Can you please let me know the way to display pdf with no toolbar in Firefox 29?

Hi Fan,
a BSP application can be made up of many pages.
A page attribute is visible only in the page it is associated with.
Attributes of the application class are visible from every page in that application.

You select the printer properties and set the appropriate page size (I think there is a place to set it in PDF Maker too, but not sure). In the printer, this is equivalent to putting the proper paper in the printer.

Multi-Message-split with ABAP mapping and adapter specific attributes

With <b>ABAP-Mapping I split 1 message to n messages</b>.
So many files are generated in <b>file-Adapter</b>.
Everything fine.
But now I want the file names different using adapter specific attributes.
It is not possible to use variable substitution and write the file name in payload because of receiver restrictions.
I tried this with following similar coding in ABAP-Mapping:

I've a different idea...I dont think its a "right solution" but just another work around..it involves a BPM...
In your ABAP mapping..set the dynamic config with as many variables as number of different messages...i.e. use the variables like 'FileName1', 'FileName2'...'FileName6' instead of 'FileName'. But use the same namespace 'http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File'
Call the above mapping in a BPM and capture the individual messages and set the attribute 'FileName' from the values of 'FileName1' to 'FileName6' accordingly using Message Mapping and then send the message using the 'Send' step.
before you try this, try using the variable names 'FileName1' ...'FileName6' in the receiver adapters...enable the ASMS. <b>I know we need to select which variables from the dynamic config to be used by the adapter by specifically selecting 'FileName', 'Directory' etc...but just give it a try and see if it works..</b>
Or..instead of using a BPM..you can combine Henrique's idea...use Adapter module to set the value for 'FileName' from variables 'FileName1'...'FileName6' accordingly.

For a simple example, say I have a table and want certain roles to see all columns (including address), and other roles can see only certain columns (no address). In a Java method, I want to test if a table's column visible attribute is true and if so, set it to false before rendering it.

this use case would be a perfect example for using seeded MDS customization. Instead of checking what users are allowed to see or not upon rendering time, you have a customization class and thus the framework doing this for you.

Does word or powerpoint associate a tooltip and hyperlink to an image and then allow that image with those associations to be copied to another open word or powerpoint document? If not then your probably wasting your time.

Quicktime in GoogleSites does not play in Safari5 (but Safari4 and others)

I need a hint, why quicktime movie embedding(viewing) in GoogleSites is broken in Safari 5.
In GoogleSites the following html-embed gadget in snippet 1 is used for embedding quicktime movie:
This html-code works in Safari4 and other browsers, but not in Safari5 (not Mac or Windows).
I assume this has to do with long url.
Url in gadget encodes object and embed tag shown unencoded below in snippet 2.

Any idea what causes this issue?
Is this a bug in Safari 5?

I have reduced the complexity of page-html below and opened it from .html file on local HD. You can cut and paste to give it a try.
Result is that IFRAME works with some text content (section 2), but not with encoded XML-embed-snippet with object-tag (see above) as content (section 1).
But this object tag with embed-tag works in last section (section 3) as direct part of the html-page.
Just the combination of iframe and embed-snippet works in all other browsers even Safari 4, but not Safari 5. What is wrong?

How to create a user using XML and specifying addional attributes that are objects

I'm trying to create a user using XML and specifying some attributes that are objects and not sure how to do it. How would I set the DirectoryUserAcl to Public?
Here's the xml file:
<?xml version = '1.0' standalone = 'yes'?>
<SimpleUser>
<UserName>mike2</UserName>
<Password>abc123</Password>
<AdminEnabled>false</AdminEnabled>
<HomeFolderRoot>/home</HomeFolderRoot>
<HasContentQuota>false</HasContentQuota>
<DirectoryUserAcl> ??? </DirectoryUserAcl>
<DefaultAclBundleAcl> ??? </DefaultAclBundleAcl>
<HomeFolderPolicyBundleAcl> ??? </HomeFolderPolicyBundleAcl>

I figured out the answer:

In smartforms i want to display one page in A4 and other in A3 size paper.

1)in smartforms i want to display one page in A4 and other in A3 size paper. How?
2) in front page all the values and in back page all the terms and condition of the company. this will b going on for all the printed documents.pls brief me about this.

Hi,
In case of sap script u can not. But in case of smartforms u can assign one format for 1 page and 2 format for 2 page it is possible.
In Global setting -> Form Attributes -> Output Options define your format.
Rewards points if it is useful.

Ok I found it!!

IFrame and Firefox issue

I am using this code,
<iframe height="100%" allowTransparency="true" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" style="width:100%;border:none" src="http://magdelinelum.wordpress.com/"></iframe>
As far as I can tell it's correct. However I can't seem to get the frame to display correctly in firefox. Displays fine in Safari.
