Image scaling problem with object handles

Hi,
I am facing scaling problem.I am using custom actionscript component called editImage.EditImage consists imageHolder a flexsprite which holds
image.Edit Image component is uing object handles to resize the image.I am applying mask to the base image which is loaded into imageholder.
My requirement is when I scale the editImage only the mask image should be scaled not the base image.To achieve this I am using Invert matix .With this
the base image is not scaled but it is zoomed to its original size.But the base image should not zoomed and it should fit to the imageholder size always. When I scale the editImage only the mask image should scale.How to solve this.Please help .

Problem with event handling

Hello all,
I have a problem with event handling. I have two buttons in my GUI application with the same name.They are instance variables of two different objects of the same class and are put together in the one GUI.And their actionlisteners are registered with the same GUI. How can I differentiate between these two buttons?

I solved the problem ..using same concept but in a different way..
One thing i wanted to make clear is that the two buttons are in the SAME CLASS and i am forming 2 different objects of the SAME class and then putting them in a GUI.THERE IS NO b and C. there is just two instances of b which belong to the SAME CLASS..
So the code
private JButton b = new JButton("ChgDir");
b.setActionCommand ("1");
wont work as both the instances would have the label "ChgDir" and have setActionCommand set to 1!!!!
Actually I have an array of buttons..So I solved the prob by writting a function caled setActionCmdRemote that would just set the action commands of one object of the class differently ..here is the code

     cmdButtons.setActionCommand((cmdButtons[i].getText())+"Rem");
This just adds "rem" to the existing Actioncommand and i check it as folows in my actionperformed method

Problem with Intrastat handling (MEIS)

Dear SCN Members,
we have a problem with Intrastat handling:
Our company is in Great Britain (example VAT-No. GB123456789)
We have a vendor in Switzerland (no EU VAT-No.), who has a fiscal representative in Belgium (example VAT-No. BE1234567890).
Both have a separate vendor number (swiss vendor: 23176, belgian vendor: 33179).
We created a partner "WL" (Goods Supplier) in the vendor master data of the swiss vendor and assigend the belgian vendor number. The swiss vendor master data has nothing filled in the "VAT Reg. No." field (LFA1-STCEG) of the vendor master data. The belgian vendor number has the belgian VAT-No. filled in the "VAT Reg. No." field (LFA1-STCEG) of the vendor master data.
The partner "WL" is automatically taken into the purchase order header partners and is also taken into account for the goods receipt posting.
After I have posted the vendor invoice, the line is shown in transaction MEIS, but the incompletion log is always showing message no. EIP029:
The system did not find the VAT registration number of vendor 23176.
In my opinion, the VAT no. of the fiscal representative (BE1234567890) should be taken into account for the Intrastat reporting, as the swiss vendor has no VAT number. We have not yet managed to get the belgian VAT into the Intrastat report.

Please refer the KBA: 1988909 - MEIS: Error EIP 029 "The system did not find the VAT registration number of vendor The reason and the solution is well explained in the KBA. You may change the configuration as explained in the KBA and test again.

Photoshop CS5 - Image resize problem with move tool

Here's my problem
When I try to resize an layer using the move tool (as opposed to the Free Transform tool), while I'm in the process of moving the scaling handles, the bounding box reflects my movement but the layer preview stays at it's original size. When I stop moving the handles there is a few seconds delay and then the new scale size shows up. If I try to move the handles again, without commiting to the transform, the layer preview reverts back to it's original size until I've finished moving the handles.
I didn't have this problem with CS4 and I've only recently upgraded. I work around this problem by using the proper Free Transform tool (ctrl+t) but it would be nice to know why the hell this happens. It seems to me to be more of a graphical glitch than a software preference but I thought I'd check just-in-case.

I also read you you tried updating your video dirvers and your syste crashed and you had to roll back. Make sure you have downloaded the latest correct drivers. If that does not work try turning off Open GL in photoshops preferences.
On my old XP 32 bit system CS5 movet tool with transform dialog does not fail like on your system. I can move the handles time and time again without commiting the transform. The only way to have Photoshop revert the transform back to the original state is to press the ESC key to cancel the uncommitted transform.

Image size problem with Retina Macbook Pro

I exported raw images to Jpg and then resized as 1200 x 800 resolution images through "Easy batch Pro" app. When I uploaded them, they were extremely large. I've tried it several times and the result was always the same. Is it a problem with "Easy batch Pro" app, or something with Retina Display resolution? I also resized them as small size like 600x400, but the image was totally broke, and apparently had different look when I saw the original via aperture. What should I do?

What's the problem exactly? Call and complain. It's up to them on how they want to handle it, but if it's something normal or minor, they'll just fix the issue under warranty and send you on your way. That's how warranty works. In instances where a user has had repetative failure of the same kind or others with the same system, a complete replacement was done, but those were issues that border on the "it's a lemon" idea.

Image printing problem with Photoshop and Lightroom specifically with 11X14 cuts off top of image and moves bottom border up. Windows 7 OS - Epson Printer is working properly.

Have an unprecedented problem with printing 11X14 photos in both PS and Lightroom. The printer is operataing properly. Printing 81/2X11 correctly. Have double and triple checked all the printing settings and they are correct. Have checked with friends to no avail. This problem started yesterday. Widows 7 OS. Need help.

You show the OS receiving an image from Photoshop, and the OS starting the Epson print driver and handing it part of the image, the driver connects to the printer, then the print driver fails. It looks like a bug in the Epson rasterizer, or the printer communication.
You really need to talk to Epson. Photoshop isn't involved in that error.

I1 is primary key of the table T1OT.
Next code:

conn->commit(); // exception throws here
Works fine if T1OV defined as:
create view t1ov of t1 with object identifier default
as select * from t1ot;
And throws an exception
"ORA-22883: object deletion failed"
if:
create view t1ov of t1 with object identifier (I1)
as select * from t1ot;
Such problem also occurs when object view is based on relational table/view (OID is primary-key based).
Also it occurs when
t->markModified() used insted of t->markDelete()

Problems with SoapMessage Handler in SJS AS 8.1

I try to post it in this forum as well, since there is no response in the WebService forum, and it also seems to be a problem with the application server.
I have problems with execution of standard soap message handler.
Both webservice and handler is of "HelloWorld" and is generated in the NetBeans 4.1 IDE and follows the standards of WebService and GenericHandler
When I try the WebService Runtime testtool integrated in NetBeans, the handler and webservice works fine on the localhost SJS AS 8.1. Then I try to execute the same wsdl from other test environment(like soapscope) and I receive an error from the SJS AS(JAXRPC.TIE.04: Internal Server Error (JAXRPCTIE01: caught exception while handling request: java.lang.ClassCastException: com.sun.xml.messaging.saaj.soap.impl.TextImpl))
Then I try to deploy without references to the handler in the webservice.xml, and then webservice works fine.(also through soapscope).
Is there some server settings that I have missed??
I also have the latest build of NetBeans 4.1 and a standalone version of SunAppserver 8.1(Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8.1 2005Q2 UR2)

Hi,
I too use SOAPScope and have faced the same problem.
With some trial and error figured out that the problem is possibly with the way the XML string is parsed by the Message Handler classes.
Here is the detail and hope it helps you too. The work around is to remove any white spaces / new line chars following the <Body> tag.

I uploaded a SOAPScope workspace with different message invocations, with the "Message Handler" configured.

The 1st Message is the one captured in SOAPScope, while invoked from the NetBeans IDE itself.
If you observe the 3rd message that failed and the 4th Message that works, the only difference is the string that is posted to the Web Service URI.
From Resend > Preview Edit
3rd Message is a properly formatted xml document with the third line reading as just
<soap:Body>
where as
4th Message is not a properly formatted xml document with the third line reading as
<soap:Body><mrns0:createCustomer>
Even a <Space> as in "<soap:Body> <mrns0:createCustomer>" causes a SOAP Fault to occur.

Weird image distortion // Problem with game

Hello,
Im making a tiled based multiplayer game and everything is going fine however Im having a problem with image displaying.
Here is how it looks like when I play it on my server computer as well as on my laptop:

The image on the latter computer is distorted.
I used to test my game on that computer before and everything was fine. I tried rebooting it but its still not displaying right. Right after I run the game the image is fine for a split second and then it becomes distorted...
Did anyone have a similar problem?

When i plug in my camera macbook three different icons show up with it in finder and two different icons show up with it in image capture. my problem is that none of my pictures will show in my image capture. ive never had a problem with this before. please help

Image Gallery, problems with Flash player 9 and Opera 9

Hi, I'm developing a slideshow in flash (and php, JavaScript,
XML).
I'm coding in classes and AS2.
I use the ExternalInterface class to communicate between
swf's and html.
The problem is that the Slideshow won't work properly in the
Opera browser,
it seems like it's working fine, but after a few click it
stop responding.
No problems in IE and FF.
I've search and search to find a solution to this problem
with no luck.

The strange thing is that when I use really simplified
versions of the code
I'm using (with no externalInterface etc) it is working fine:

I found a solution, I replaced th ExternalInterface with the
"Flash JavaScript Integration Kit",
and all my problems with Opera was solved.

riesca a leggere le versioni flash 5. Nell'installare un corso
contenente flash 5 ho questo errore:

Sap4rails - Problem with automatic handling of data types under Windows

It seems like there is sth wrong with mapping data types from R/3 to data types in Ruby. Does anyone has an idea what could be wrong? I would be very grateful for any help.

1. You may try to just register 'dts.dll' using regsvr32.exe, but this error may indicate a bigger problem with setup.

2. You can try reinstall from start (In this case you have to make sure that you un-install all)

Problem with object state...

Hi guys
So I have this grid with 25 pictures.
And I would like to use each of these pictures as a button. This button will trigger a frame with text in the center of the grid, like so :
The X close the text frame and the user go back to the grid.
But, I have 2 problems. I can mak a object state of the text frame and the button triggers one state (open/close for exemple) and it work. But if I click on the second square without closing the first text frame, the text frame linked to the first square is still there, underneath...
Is there a way to 1 : a click triggers the texte square link to it AND close all the other
Or is there an easier way to do it without object state?

You have the grid of pics as your background. Then buld a state for each photo/description.
If you have have 16 pictures you'd build 16 different states for them. Combine them all into one MSO.
You'll need to put the buttons into each state to make it work and you'll need one state with only the buttons with no fill or stroke over the background grid.
You'll need to experiment to decide if you want the buttons to be live for all of the images in each state. It's lots of buttons and there's no automated way to do it, but it works well and avoids the problem that you're having now.

NFS: server reboot - client problem with "file handle" - no unmont

Hello,
when I restart a NFS-server and a client has a NFS-share on it still mounted, that NFS-share becomes unusable on the client: everything causes the client complain about an old "file handle", even trying to unmount that share!
So my question is: How to deal gracefully with a NFS-server reboot and avoiding this file handle problem?
Apart from going to each client and unmount the NFS-share by hand?

When we transport ID objects, the values stored in the channel get lost and have to be manually enetered......it happens even for DEV --> QA environment.
Now your channel should reflect PROD-related data.

100% scaling problem with datagrid

I have a situation where I have an AdvancedDataGrid in an hbox . I have a checkbox called scrollTable that changes the width of the AdvancedDataGrid

Everything is contained in a panel with a fixed width set by the user. The behaviour I want is for just the hbox to have scroll bars when the AdvancedDataGrid is given a size of 2200 , not the outer containing panel to get scrollbars and the hbox expanding inside the panel. I suspect that the problem is because the hbox has 100%, which is what I need because the user can resize the panel.

The quickest solution is to:
1) Change the model variable to:
public var _xlcDg:XMLListCollection
1) set resultFormat="e4x" on the HTTPService instance
2) in the handler, do:
var xmlResult:XML = XML(event.result);
trace(xmlResult.toXMLString()); //to see what you have
var xlPersons:XMLList = xmlResult.person; //you can use the
XMLlist directly, but it is not best practice
trace(xlPersons.length); //what you expect?
_xlcDg = new XMLListCollection(xlPersons);
If you want an ArrayCollection, create a class to be your
value object, then loop through the XMLList and create a new
instance of the VO, assign the propderty values form the xml node,
then addItem() to put it in the array collection.
