IMAQ Overlay Multiple Lines 2 in VDM 2011

IMAQ Overlay Multiple Lines has just been updated in the Vision Development Module 2011, and I really like the new option to create fixed-width lines that do not scale when zooming - kudos!
But the handling of NaNs has also changed - it now draws a line to 0,0 and carries on. The old version stopped at that point. The better option would be to handle it in the same way as the XY Graph and create a new line - I've created an idea suggesting this.

I strongly agree with that!
In different part of LabVIEW, NaN are handled in different ways and that could be improved (and documented).

Imaq overlay pen size

I need to add overlays to an imaq image, but when I do, the overlays are often to hard to see. Is their a way to set a "pen size" similar to the picture control?

I had a similar concern and after poking around found that you can’t change pen size. So, I made my own VI to accomplish it. Granted, it is a hack and there may be better ways to do it but it works well for me. There are several caveats to my solution because I made it for a specific purpose so it isn’t as generic as maybe it could be. One is that I only did it for a rectangular bounding box. The second is instead of the input being a bounding box from a matches cluster mine accepts an optional rectangle array. But, there is no reason why you couldn't take what I did and extend it to any type of overlay and also change the optional rectangle input type to some other type to fit your needs.
The basic idea is to just put the IMAQ Overlay Multiple Lines.vi into a for-loop and draw multiple progressively smaller overlays inside one another. The resulting effect is it looks like a thicker overlay. Here are the vis. Let me know if it works for you or if I can give any more info.

IMAQ overlay Line Thickness

I have used IMAQ overlay to map two line onto an image. But I want to change the thickness of these lines and couldn't figure out any way. Help is appreciated.

It looks like IMAQ Overlay Line doesn't let you specify line thickness. You might consider "tricking" it by overlaying two or more lines, displaced slightly from each other but close enough to merge into a slightly thicker line. Note that if you do this, you need to think about the orientation of the line, as you'd want to displace your "sub-lines" at right angles to the original line orientation. For example, if the original line was horizontal, you'd draw two sub-lines a little above and a little below the original line (a vertical displacement), and if the original line were vertical, you'd draw a little to the left and right (a horizontal displacement).
If you decide to go this route, you'll do yourself a BIG favor if you write the "Thick line" function as a sub-VI that looks a lot like IMAQ Overlay Line, but has an additional "thickness" parameter. Hide all of the "messy details" inside this VI, including the calls to IMAQ Overlay Line. This will keep your calling VI "focussed" on the task it is trying to do, without getting "irrelevant" Line-Thickness code popping up and occupying a lot of Block Diagram space.

Setting the value of a single attribute for multiple line items

I am working on a Web Dynpro application, I have created this applicaion for an accounting document so it has header data and multiple line item data. As per the requirement I have to put the following logic:
1. When a user enters a value in the field KBLNR on the line item, all the other fields like cost centerm fund, functional area should populate from a database table based on the value of the KBLNR. to get this I have put the following code:

everything is working fine but now the problem is couple of fields that I have in wa_kblp are with different names in bseg table and hence they are not updating... I tried putting the following logic within the loop :

I tried your code and it worked fine but after I put this code I am getting another issue. within the loop I had a code to make the fields non modifiable on the screen and was working fine but now what's happening is it's making the all the lines uneditable except the one with data on it (which is completely opposite), this is what I have coded:

Using Select all to create multiple lines in a sales order

Hello SAP experts,
In our business practice users create multiple line sales orders with reference to contracts and use the copy paste method and then assign each line to the contract manually.
After a few years of this practice i found a new way to create multiple lines but it doesn't quite work correctly. When you have created the first line of an order if you click on the select all button the system will ask you how many lines do you want to copy. I don't know if this is standard SAP but 3 things don't happen when we use this 1) The schedule line information is blank 2) conditions do not copy from the contract even though the contract has been referenced. 3) Since there is no schedule line information the order fails when saving and we get a update terminated message.
I am having problems finding any documentation around this function so any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

IDOC to JDBC, problem with the multiple line items structure and mapping

Hi,
I have a scenario where the ORDERS data need to update the SQL table. for the idoc which consists one line item its ok but for multiple line item its just updating one line item. In the destination side we have only one table for purchase order which consists of lineitem as a field.(no different tables for Header data and Line item data)
Can anyone suggest me how to create a structure for target side and how to map them.

Showing all values for Multiple Line field with Append Changes

I have a simple SharePoint list with a multiple line column that has append changes enabled. I am doing a report with Report Builder 3.0 and I want to show all values of the field the same way you achieve it through a DVWP using:<SharePoint:AppendOnlyHistory
FieldName="Comments" runat="server"
ControlMode="Display" ItemId="{@ID}"/>

According to your description, you want to show the append changes history of a column in Reporting Services. Right?
In Reporting Services, we don't have a feature to show the change history of a column. However, we can have workaround on SQL level. In SQL Server, we have tables: inserted table and deleted table which contains the recently inserted and deleted records.
In this scenario, we can create a trigger in your database. Once you insert rows into the table, it will be triggered and get those inserted rows. Then insert those rows into another table. Now we can create one more dataset based on this table and display
these inserted rows in our report. This might be the most effective workaround for your requirement. Please refer to a similar thread below:

Overlay multiple composition widgets

Is there a way to overlay multiple composition widgets? I am overlaying 2 blank widgets and within Muse it works but when I preview the webpage it doesn't work. For example, the trim of the shirt can be changed to red, while the main shirt can be changed to blue. In design mode, I have overlayed a blank widget with a blank widget. Widget A has the main shirt images in 3 different colors, while widget be has the trim in 3 different colors. Is this possible?

Hi Jawad,
Just realised that you posed this in the Machine Vision section so you're using IMAQ.
When you look at the example below, you'll see this is just using two images.

Inside the For Loops, the colours of each image array is being change on every iteration, then the two image arrays are combined into one.
You should be able to edit this code by simply indexing another image array into the for loop, building this (along with the two other image arrays) into the final array.

When I send messages to other iOS running devices from my Mac with Messages beta, the message I typed in non-Roman characters (Korean) will be broken into multiple lines word-by-word quite frequently, Also, there seems to be random punctuation added among the lines such as ",("

I have seen this for Chinese and Arabic written in Lucida Grande rather than a specific language Font.
The Chinese issue was solved by using one of the listed Simplified Chines Fonts
The Arabic person never came back to the thread.

Hi Santosh,
Here's what you need to do:
1) Create a formula with this code:
If {Confirmed_Qty} > 0 then {Conf_Delivery_Date}
2) Go to Insert Summart > Choose the above formula field as the field to summarize > Choose 'Max' as the sum function > Under Summary Location chose Group section
3) You would also need to insert a Max function on the Confirmed Qty field and place the summary on the Group Section like all the other summaries.

I'm trying to add multiple lines (in the form of a list) in a individual cell in Excel for MAC. I used ALT Enter on my PC but that doesn't work on the iMac. Does anyone know how to do this?

It's been a while but I think you hold SHIFT while typing a page break (RETURN) to make a new line without shifting to another cell.

I am new to BI publisher and not able to generate multiple lines for headers. Please help me to resolve.
I am using RTF template, data source as PS Query and XML file (system generated from the data source)

Production order from sales order with multiple line item(for one material)

Dear Gurus,
I am working in MTO scenarios. If there is several line item in a sales order for one material, multiple production order( same as no. of sales order line item) is getting created against each of the line item.My requirement is,since the material code is same in each line item and sales order is one, one production order should be generated for all line item. please tell me how to do it.
(Here for one material, multiple line item is required for some specific reason)

This is not possible.
In Std SAP will create one production order for one sales order. The stock is also allocated to thet particular sales order only. Because each and every sales order may vary in any one of the parameters. Considering this, SAP has designed like this.
