Imbedding a lightroom gallery into my gallery page

How would I embed a flash gallery I've created in Lightroom, into my website gallery page. Candidlovephotography.com

Flash galleries are not a good choice for several reasons.  Many people can't see Flash.  Mobile & tablet devices don't support Flash.  Flash consumes a lot of resources.  Flash is pretty much dead as a web technology.  You would reach a much wider audience with an HTML &  jQuery gallery.

  • Embed Lightroom gallery in web page

    Hello all,
Here for help with embedding a Lightroom created gallery into
a web page in Dreamweaver. My test page is at
    http://www.grayareaphotography.com/Copy%20of%20Home%20Page.htm
(dont mind the mess this is just a testing page) scroll to the
bottom and you'll see the LR gallery embedded. At the top are links
to all my other LR galleries, they open in separate pages (perhaps
the way LR would perfer it to be done).
On to the question. I found discussion on how to do this at
    http://www.bluefire.tv/blog/flashgalleries/using_flashvars.html
using flashvars, and I have been able to get the shell of the LR
gallery to load, but I can find the code, or mistake or oversight,
that will load the actual pictures. I've emailed BlueFire, no reply
yet. So thought I would ask here too.
All my LR galleries, their folders and files reside under my
    root, grayareaphotography/galleryName.xxx.
Here is my code for embedding LR galleries thus far. Anyone
done this? anyone know or see something I am missing?

  • SWF into photo gallery page, but thumb links stopped

(PC question). I have a swf header for several web pages, and want a gallery page with the same header. (The header links work fine). The following is a portion of ThumbnailFrame.htm showing how I put the SWF in (using parts of the SWF htm). The page worked fine until the swf was added. Am I going about this wrong? • Adding a Lightroom Gallery on an iweb site- that does NOT use .mac

I've been checking all past posts but only find references to adding a Lightroom Gallery in iweb if the user has mobile me/uses a .mac account. Someone else has asked this same question on July 20 and received no answers so far. Both of us using iweb '08. I've also gone the other direction but all Lightroom answers also refer to .mac accounts.
I've tried following the methods in past posts using html snippets and iframes but they don't seem to be a perfect fit without the .mac account. Anyone have any advice here? Many thanks.

I tested and it worked fine for me....
I went through Yahoo steps and had code generated...
Went to iWeb and on page I wanted to add chart, I clicked on the "Web Widgets" icon at bottom of iWeb page and picked "HTML Snippet" and then pasted code in area provided (where it says paste code), finally I hit "Apply" saved my pages and published. Worked fine.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Photo gallery Pages cant go "Under" another page or have i missed something

Seems any Photo Gallery page you make always stays at the top level. You don't seem to be able to make say a blank Page and create 3 gallery pages UNDER that page.
What I'd like to do is create a top page called Photo Galleries and in there put 3 photo gallery pages
One called Picture Art, One Garden Art and one Commisioned. UNDER each of these pages I'd like to have 3 Galleries.
The reason I want to do this is to make it easier for people to find exact catagories when they visit my site.

    Yes, you can.
Add a My Photoalbum page. In it you can add photopages.
You can drag existing photopages into the My albums page.
It's all there. Visible and ready to use.

  • IWeb and galleries - Why cant I make a gallery-page??

Hello! I'm new to Mac (Just bought an MacBook) as well as iWeb. I have pictures from 6 different holidays which I would like to post on the iWeb-site I'm creating at the moment. Is the only solution to make 6 gallery pages right along side the main pages, such as "Welcome", "CV", "blog" and so on? I'm looking for something like a "Gallery page" where you click on a holiday (Icon or picture), which takes you to a page where you can check the photos or watch a slideshow. I've tried a bunch of times, but it won't work, which is why I'm asking out here!
I hope somebody can help me
    Thanks either way

Check out this idea from the .Mac Blog...I think it will suit your purposes perfectly and AUTOMATICALLY via iPhoto and iWeb!
    http://www.mac.com/web/en/Tips/013C4180-4787-4847-BAAB-319222AFC652.html
Please note, you must have your photos organized into your desired albums in iPhoto. Otherwise, this will create everthing for you! And it won't clutter up your navigation menu!

  • Embedding a Lightroom Gallery in a webpage?

Hi guys... need some help here.  So I have created a web gallery in Lightroom and now would like to embed it in my website but not sure how to go about it.  The Lightroom gallery is pretty much a stand alone gallery, the thing is I don't want to link it from my page.  I want it to be embedded on my Home Page just below the header and navigation.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    what about an iframe?
insert a fram with no scrool and then link it to the lightroom galeery that show load inside the div of your choise
try an show how it ( if it) works

  • Embed  lightroom gallery in Adobe Muse

can you embed a lightroom gallery within an Adobe Muse site and confine the rendering of it to the actual page?
everything I have tried allows the gallery to open to a full screen when you click on it and you lose the navigation of the site . . . .does that make sense?
I want to confine the rendering of the gallery to a specific area on the page

    Hi,
Please refer to the following link Re: Adobe muse and Lightroom web galleries

  • Movie file on photo gallery page

I added a small movie file to the bottom on a photo gallery page. That works out fine, but then the same movie displays at the bottom of each page when individual images are displayed, which I don't want.
I know that it's all one page under the hood... but is there any way to add a movie so it just shows under the gallery thumbnails?

I would happily have a thumbnail pointing to the movie file but if I drag the movie into the gallery section it just lands on top of all the thumbnails.
Drag the movie from the mediabrowser or desktop into the photogrid.
That's the eternal frustration of iWeb... you can produce great looking pages but as soon as you want to step outside its narrow box you run into a brick wall.
    Au contraire.
Accept the limitations of iWeb and look beyond them.
Outside your box is a universe with unlimited possibilities. Unfortunately it requires knowledge. Which requires study. Which requires effort.
The world is larger than iLife. You are in control.

  • Web Gallery Pages Contain Garbage if Referencing External Scripts

Like many, I've been customizing the very limited web gallery templates that ship with Aperture, but in addition the many annoyances mentioned elswhere (generation of non-compliant HTML, deletion of certain content, reformatting, altering the DOCTYPE, etc.) I've encountered a serious problem that makes rich customization a chore.
Adding a script tag that references the Google Maps API causes Aperture to generate garbage in certain web gallery pages containing the tag.
    Placing
    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&v=2&key=ANYKEY"></script>
into the HEAD element (with any api key, including an invalid one) causes the element to be replaced with
    <SCRIPT type="text/javascript" src="http://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&v=2&key=ANYKEY"></SCRIPT><SCRIPT src="http://maps.google.com/mapfiles/maps2.70a.api.js" type="text/javascript"></SCRIPT><STYLE type="text/css" media="screen">.gmnoscreen{display:none}</STYLE><STYLE type="text/css" media="print">.gmnoprint{display:none}</STYLE>
in most pages, and causes all of the second detail page (that's right, only the second page!) to be replaced with
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <HTML><HEAD><STYLE type="text/css" media="screen">.gmnoscreen{display:none}</STYLE><STYLE type="text/css" media="print">.gmnoprint{display:none}</STYLE><STYLE type="text/css" media="screen">.gmnoscreen{display:none}</STYLE><STYLE type="text/css" media="print">.gmnoprint{display:none}</STYLE><STYLE type="text/css" media="screen">.gmnoscreen{display:none}</STYLE><STYLE type="text/css" media="print">.gmnoprint{display:none}</STYLE></HEAD></HTML>
which results in a blank page.
The styles gmnoscreen and gmnoprint come from Google, so apparently, the code that generates the web pages from the template actually reads the Google Map API file, triggering side effects that write into (and spoil) the page being generated.
Sadly, I've found no clever workaround for this bug. Aperture strips out SSIs (along with all HTML comments) so conditioning inclusion of the script tag on being on the server won't work, and substituting a page (that's only) on the server that redirects to the Google URL fails (probably because of some limitation of the Google API). The only workaround I've found is to generate pages with a place holder for the bug-triggering script (actually just the src attribute will do) that is then replaced in the files generated on the server (which is easy enough to do with BBEdit).
Note that inclusion of the offending script also causes some misbehavior in Aperture itself when previewing the pages.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Any suggestions on a better way to prevent the script tag from being read by Aperture when it generates the pages?
This would seem to be a frank bug in the Aperture web gallery page generation code, which should simply be copying all script tags to the server files unchanged -- certainly without traversing the src url and thus executing any code they contain.

It's hard to imagine what the designers intended then. No interactive web pages? Almost any code included in or referenced by the templates can result in serious and hard to detect bugs.
For example if I have an element containing
    ... id="someid" class="styleA"...and have
document.getElementById('someid').className='styleB';somewhere in code that executes on load, then the Aperture-generated files will change the element to read
    ... id="someid" class="styleB"...
This is clearly a bug that needs to be fixed. The underlying model of what Aperture is doing certainly is not meant to include execution of code in page templates as part of he page generation process. Such code is only intended to run when the page is built in the client's browser.
I also don't buy the notion that this isn't really such a big problem since one can always use the features of a code editor like BBEdit to repair the problem in generated pages on the server. Such problems (as the above example illustrates) can be very hard to detect in the first place, and, more importantly that can't possibly be the model of "workflow" that Apple intends, since it means that every time I make photo related changes in Aperture (e.g. simply rearranging the photos in my gallery, or changing a caption) I have to run a development tool to fix the damage that such an update will do to the code in the generated web pages. They're hardly "templates" if their products need to be fixed every time they're used.

  • Gallery pages Prosite

Is it a chance to create more than one gallery page on Prosite?
    examples

    http://waynemorpeth.com/23177/art-gallery

Yes! Simply go to ProSite --> Pages --> Add New, and choose Gallery. Then, you can click the projects tab to drag projects into this gallery.
Let me know if anythuing else comes up.

  • Iweb gallery page

I'm trying to set up a gallery page on my website. The thumbnails and links work fine on iweb, but when I publish the site in safari, clicking on a gallery thumbnail automatically starts a slide show of the gallery page, instead of linking to the page the thumbail represents. I've removed the "start slide show" button from the gallery page, but that makes no difference.
How can I get the thumbnails to link to their respective pages instead of a slide show of the gallery images?

The manual way to do this is to overlay transparent (1% opacity) shapes over the thumbnails and link these shapes to the respective photo pages.
However, there is a more elegant and more flexible way of doing this that does not require the use of the photo template page (for the gallery page). Check out this entry in the .Mac Blog...
    http://www.mac.com/web/en/Tips/013C4180-4787-4847-BAAB-319222AFC652.html
I think this may get you closer to what you want with less effort. You DO have to have your photos organized into albums in iPhoto. And you CANNOT be using a photo template page to do this.

  • How do I correctly update images on my Gallery page in Adobe Muse 2011-2013?

I am trying to update images on my Gallery page  at: www.glennmcfall.com. When I add new images those new images are not active. When I click on the thumbnail (when I use Preview Page in Browser) the slideshow image appears , when I click on that image a larger image or video should appear but doesn't. I noticed when an image is active an image of a hand appears when hovering over the art/photo/video but this hand does not appear when I am trying to access the largest image. What do I need to do to correct this? I am using Adobe Muse 2011-2013 version.

    Hi
Can you provide steps to follow for replication ?
I checked the site , but which thumbnails exactly shows this behavior etc ?
    Thanks,

  • Photo gallery page from iWeb '08 doesn't work for Mac OS X 10.3.9 user?

I have recently published a photo gallery page with comments on using iWeb '08 (latest update). Displays fine for me and apparently a lot of other mixed-platform users. But one user is saying that his eMac with Mac OS X 10.3.9 and the Safari of the day don't display the pictures. He gets the banner and background image for the gallery, but not the actual pictures. I asked him to try Firefox, but so far no reply on that.
Do the older versions of Safari work with content from iWeb '08?

    QuickTimeKirk wrote:

The very complex javascript files written by iWeb 2 still allow older browsers view (limited features) view the basic parts of your pages.
Unfortunately this is not true. On an iMac G4 10.3.9 using Safari you cannot even view the photos, the photo page or even the web gallery itself. You just get a warning. Had I known that my friends and family would have a problem viewing photos I would have passed on the update. I don't expect my Father to upgrade his system to view photos from the "user friendly" Apple programs. That's why we got him an iMac to begin with. I find iLife 08 a very poor release from Apple and more trouble than it is worth.
It was no different when AOL went from version 3 to version 4.
I didn't know AOL even still existed, that alone upgraded!? (haha)
+The images should load but many of the Web 2.0 features will not work (image rollover viewing, changing dimensions or background colors).+
But Kirk, they don't, none of them! and this kind of stuff just seems crazy to some of us. I wish that Apple would TELL US or advertise the facts like, Oh, you only get ONE gallery for each user on Web Gallery (useless) and Oh, you will not be able to edit 06 iWeb pages with 08 iWeb and the iLife 08 version of iPhoto you will not be able to view these galleries without upgrading to the latest Safari web browser. Yes we always expect some bugs with a major update but this is getting ridiculous.
I have not yet had anybody try downloading the newest version of Firefox that will work with 10.3.9. Do you know if that will make a difference? Thanks for your help.

  • Photo Gallery Page

I'm creating a photo gallery page for a site.... I have my 12
    thumbnails (70 x 70) in a table. To the right is a 260 x 260 layer
in which to view the photo full size. I want to have the full size
photo appear in this layer when the viewer mouses over the
corresponding thumbnail. Is this accomplished using javascript?
I've seen this on other sites. Can anyone suggest a tutorial or
other help? I considered the Flash / XML method but I don't want a
    slideshow. Please help.

It can be accomplished using CSS and javascript
highlight the thumbnail and use behaviors to "show or hide
layers". You will need to place the correct image in each layer
(I know that a lot of people do not like layers but it works
for this example. just fine I have had no problems) (but it is
    confusing)
    here is an example
