Impdp with exclude issus

I'm in oracle 10gR2/redhat4.
I need to import a schema with excluding big tables.
here is the syntax that I use :

Issue with Exclude Selection in Bex

Hi all,
 I have created a query to display the Top 10 Customers.
Here I have excluded all the customers apart from the Top 10 since they differ
based on different regions. There are 4 different regions and the customers differ
for all of them. Here the issue being I dont get the exact percentage of Orders and
Sales because of these excluded values. Here I cant use include selection since i
need different top 10 customers for the 4 regions.
 How to compute percentage with Exclude Selection? Could anybody help?

Dear Anil,
 I have my Orders, Sales, percentage calculations in columns and the excluded
Top 10 customers in rows. I get the individual percentage values for each customer.
My scenario being :
Orders 06 : Values computed with Calculate Result as Summation - Properties.
Orders 07 : Values computed with Calculate Result as Summation - Properties.
Orders % : Here I have given Calculated Result as Nothing - properties.
 I get the individual percentages say :
 Orders 06 Orders 07 Percentage
Customer 1 : 12.1 91.2 75.5
Customer 2 : 7.6 7.9 104.3

Overall Result: 19.7 99.1 Wrong Value
 Considering the above example, total percantage is computed wrongly. The excluded value's total is not considered at all. Can you now give me your suggestion?

MeasureExpression property - Is there a possibility to implement distinct count with exclude empty?

I have a measure which needs to have distinct count aggregation with exclude empty.
Is there a possibility to specify MeasureExpression property to achieve the same? I have set the aggregation of the measure to none and I have typed the following function,
Count(Distinct(Column_name),EXCLUDEEMPTY)
where as the measure reads 0(zero) upon processing. Is there any other way to achieve this?
The data feed has nulls included too for the column which this is to be achieved, which cannot be modified in the data level.

According to your description, you want to implement the distinct count aggregation, right? In this case, we can use a query like
count(nonempty([DimName].[HierarchyName].[LevelName].members,[Measures].[MyMeasure]))

Moving Large amount of data using IMPDP with network link

Hi Guru,
Here we are having a requirement to move 2TB of data from production to non-prod using Network_link parameter. What is the process to make it fast.
Previously we did it but it took 7 days for importing data and index .
Here i am having an idea can you please guide me is it good to make import faster .
Step 1) import only metadata .
Step 2) import only table data using table_exists_action=append or truncate.( Here indexes are allready created in step 1 and import will be fast as per my plan.)
Please help me the better way if we can.

You can create a filter for the FAN-FAULT and select drop to disregard the messages. Ensure for Message Filter type, you select DROP.

In a query , When I set the varaible for the characteristics, I dont get the option of 'EXCLUDE'. It is greyed out...
bcos of which I am not able to get the report right ..I want to exclude a set of values the user inputs ..

CN41 Report with excluding some cost

Hi,
Basically CN41 report shows object wise cost/revenue/commitment/budget for one or more number of projects. Is it possible to show the SAP Standard Report CN41 with excluding some cost against any object (WBSE/Activity/Activity Element). Thats is it might be excluding the cost incurred on some specific cost elements. I can achieve it with cost element report but can it be done with CN41/CN41N report ?

Any Standard cost elements report with Cost/ Revenue/ Commitment details where i can exclude perticular cost elements ??
Is there any parameters we can set in DP profile/Selection profile. But this requirement should be available only for a specific user Ids not for all users.

Shell Creation Modify Control Files with Exclude Table Information Step er

I am try to create Shell using TDMS I am gettingbelow error while executing step Modify Control Files with Exclude Table Information.
I am getting error saying that //No such file or direcroty Message no.: CNV_TDMS_13_SHELL000
I am using NFS common mount as my install directory between CI & DB, please can you help me.
Please can help me.

It appears that the directory for shell installation is not accessible from CI (TDMS execution server). Do the following -
Copy the entire Shell installation directory (having TPL files) temporarily to the CI app. server and maintain the path of this directory in the TDMS package.
Then execute the activity which is currently failing. Most probably it will finish successfully.
Now copy the DDLORA.TPL file from this directory to the original directory on the DB app server and continue with your exports.

ORA-00001: unique constraint @ impdp with table_exists_action=truncate

Hi everybody
I can't understand why my data pump import execution with parameter TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=TRUNCATE returned ORA-00001 (unique constraint violation), while importing schema tables from a remote database where the source tables have the same unique constraints as the corresponding ones on the target database.
Now my question is "If the table would be truncated, why I get unique constraint violation when inserting records from a table where the same unique constraint is validated?

I forgot to read the last two lines of the documentation about TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION where it says:
"TRUNCATE cannot be used on clustered tables or over network links."
So it seems that it ignored the clause for the use of NETWORK_LINK and unreasonably opted for an APPEND action instead of throwing an error to highlight the conflicting parameters in the used configuration.

...User SCAN have grants to create table. Import stopped only on this table(partitioned).

I've seen this error as well and was able to work around it by running the datapump import with:
transform=segment_attributes:n
This causes impdp to NOT include the COMPRESS/NOCOMPRESS setting. However, you lose a lot of other settings as well. You will lose the LOGGING clause, the PCTFREE and PCTUSED settings, INITTRANS, MAXTRANS, the whole storage clause, and perhaps worst of all the TABLESPACE clause.

Impdp with network_link

I just want to know about the performance of using network_link with impdp instead of running expdp and impdp separately. Could someone let me know what is the best method?.
The impdp will import only the application schemas not the databases. If I run expdp, it creates the dump file of 45G size. There is huge data in this schema.
Source DB version: 10.2.0.3
target DB version: 10.2.0.4

I'm excluding the statistics as doing remap_schema. This is a known bug and the import runs long with statistics when remap_schema is used. But, I just want to know about the performance impact on the source database when importing using network_link as the import will run for over 4 hours with five parallel imports.

Impdp using EXCLUDE

I want to import a full database excluding a list of schemas. I know I can use the parameter EXCLUDE to do that but I need to exclude several schemas and I am having problem writing the appropiate list in the parameter EXCLUDE. Can you help me?

Issue with Exclude Char Values in BI 7.0 report

Hello,
I have a report where its displays all Materials of Milk and Non Milk products. So my requirement is to see both Milk and Non Milk products separately in report. Inorder to see Milk products I can use selct filter value option where I can give the Milk products I want as it was only 8 materials. However for Non Milk Products I cannot give as it was around 1000 Materials.
So how can I exclude the Milk materials in Report inorder to see Non Milk products. I dont want to exclude these values in Querydesign as user wants to see both Milk and Non Milk products separately in the Report.
Any suggestions please.

Consult with your SD Functional Consultant whether there is any grouping done in R/3. Normally Material Group, Material Group 1 , material group 2 etc... are used to make material separate.
Now , in your case it not required if you want to make the report separate value in report , try the following and let us have your result what getting is ...

Drag and Drop customer group
Column :
Create New Selection go to edit change the name as 'Milk Items'
Drag And Drop Billing Qty and Material
Right Click on Material Restriction
input Milk Items material Number
save it
Create New selection2 name as 'Non Milk Product'
follow the step above but include material number which are 'Non Milk item '
I think ..You can even exclude above items to get other include .. not sure please try to exclude..
Note : Initially do not provide any variable in Global Filter what all the variable you need to insert , do it later after seeing the output of the screen. Global filter will restrict all the values. If you want to provider users to variable make it in default value area...
By creating Hierarchy also you can achieve this...

User entry variable with exclude values

Hello All,
I created a user entry/ default value variable, which allows multiple single values and is optional entry. And I also got to exclude few values from this infoobject as well as have a variable. When I select and exclude my value from selsction and run the report, I get a system error and the varibale is converted to mandatory entry. The detail error message is displayed below. Any useful input will be awarded
Diagnosis
Variable &V1& is used in the query in such a way, that an optional entry is not possible.
For example, you might be using an "Exclude", or the variable might be connected using OR to additional selections for &V2& in the global filter, but is still displayed in the columns selections.
It is also not possible to use an optional parameter variable to fill an interval selection in either the from-field or the to-field.

If you are able to accept the mandatory entry, you need not do anything. Otherwise you must work with several variables in the query. You can use an optional interval variable to do this.

When I run the query it converts my variable to mandotary entry. but I want to have optional user entry variable.

CVI2013 problem with excluded lines

I found a problem with CVI 2013 when you have some excluded lines in a header file which has some errors.
This problem can be seen in the attached example, following these steps:
exclude the line #35 (CTRL+E shortcut)
build the project; this gives error due to line #28 in dummy.h
in the Build output window double click on the line explaining the error
CVI opens a new tab with a copy of dummy.h header (from UnsavedChanges directory) where the excluded lines have been commented (//....)
when this happens it's not clear that this is NOT the real header file, so you modify it (fixing the error), but when you rebuild the project you see the same error described at step #2
This behavior has no sense.

This bug has been partially solved with f1 patch (see here).
But anyway the behavior is not correct yet; another bug report ID has been already filled in.
I know that if I comment and/or "#if 0" the lines the project can be compiled, but my usage of CTRL+E is to temporary disable lines without saving the modifications in the source files.
