Import failure in .csv format

Hello,
I am trying to import cost center data into CLM system thru a scheduled task the file is in .csv format.. During the import I get the error the 'data type' is unknown or it is missing 'DataType[...].
I have used the data type as #DataType[masterdata.CostCenter] in the first line of the csv file.
But when I try to import manually the import is succesfull.
Please help.
Thanks,
Arahanth

Hello,
The format of that first line for scheduled task import should be:
#DataType[masterdata.CostCenter]
The manual import worked because you must define the data type during the import process.

  • Still having problems: "File Import Failure"

    Hi All,
    I am still having problems transferring clips to Time Line or Project window of CS4 or PPro1.5. I could copy all clips from the Sony Clip Browser(SXS Memory Card Reader) to HardDrive(not C:\drive). But when I drag clips from Hard Drive to Project Window, it says "File Import Failure" and file format (.MP4)not supported. The file shows like this:
    J:\test1\20100306210847\BPAV\CLPR\Test01\Test01.MP4
    I really would appreciate if anyone could help me from the basics..I was trying this for the last 2weeks..I have uninstalled AdobeCS4 and installed PPro1.5. Still no difference.
    My machine is a Dell 2.8GHz, 2GB DDR2RAM, plenty of internal and external HDD spaces.
    Hope some one out there might help me with step by step procedure to get it going...
    I don't know what to do now..
    Thx...Pushpa

    Hi Harm
    The BPAV folder is in HDD connected  externally via USB2. I will transfer it to D:\ drive which is internal and it's SATA drive. will give it a try. Thx for ur input for my dumb queries..I am so frustrated now..

  • File Import Failure message

    I've just started the switch from FCP to Premiere on my Macbook Pro and am stuck early on with two issues.
    File Import Failure message.
    Importing some clips shot with a Canon 5D Mark II [ 24 fps (23.9+)] and PP  seems to import them but also gives me a "File Import Failure" and "File format not supported" messages. I've tried to input a folder from the flashdisk itself and from a copy on a disk drive. The error message shows up and then all the files also show up in clips in PP.
    But something is wrong because when I play the files back in the Source window they play speeded up even though PP shows the correct file length.
    I've tried making a sequence set to 24 fps (23.9+) and same thing happens. The sequence and the files both have the same frame rate. When I drag a clip into the sequence e it's still speeded up.
    Sure would like to get started . . . this is probably a simple thing.
    I'm using the 30-day trial of CC PPro 7.
    Can anyone help?
    Many thanks,
    Robert
    It's an MBP with 2.6 ghz i7, 8 g ram, OS 10.8

    How exactly are you importing the clips? Through Media Browser? File>Import...? Drag and drop from Finder? And perhaps more to the point, exactly which files or folders are you selecting for import. With folder-based content, your best bet is to use Media Browser, which knows how to make sense of the multiple files that comprise each clip. If, instead, you simply drag a whole folder into the Project panel, Premiere will import the media files but throw the File Import Failure message for other files like XML. (If you stretch the dialog horizontally, you'll be able to see the full filename and extension of the ones that PPRO is balking at. Yes, I know, the mouse pointer doesn't give you the expected feedback that it will work to stretch the dialog, but trust me.)
    As to the clips playing faster than real-time, what frame rate is reported in both the Project panel and the Metadata panel. In the latter panel, please check both the Clip section at the top and the File section under Dynamic Media (typing "frame" in the search field will show you both).
    Also, what do you see in the Frame Section of the Interpret Footage dialog (Clip>Modify>Interpret Footage.)
    What's the stated duration, and how long does the clip actually take to play from start to finish?

  • "File Import Failure Unsupported format or damaged file" in CS6 but fine in CS5.5

    Hello All.
    Recording in Pal DV AVI from Sony Z5U with MRC1K compact flash recorder.
    Imported files to computer using the Sony utility, and also tried dragging and dropping.
    Some files import to Premiere Pro CS6.03, but others give "File Import Failure: Unsupported format or damaged file,".
    The files that do import show up as 4:3 and I have to modify /  interpret footage to get them to show as 16:9,
    However, these same files play back just fine in Windows Media Player.
    Intriguingly these files import just fine to Premiere Pro CS5.5, and also show up correctly as 16:9.
    I can't figure out why some files import into CS6 and others don't....
    Anyone else seen this kind of behavior?
    (Normally I record in HDV and I've never had problems importing from MRC1K into Premiere, but the client specifically requested DV files for their ease of editing...)
    Cheers
    Mark
    PS When I use the DV recoverer utility on these files they import just fine into CS6....

    Hi Jim,
    OK, here's the video that imports OK into CS6.03 but that Premiere CS6.03 sees as 4:3:
    And here's the one that won't import into CS6.03 but is happily opened by CS5.5 and correctly seen as 16:9:
    Can you spot the difference? Thanks for having a look at this.
    Cheers
    Mark

    This would occur if you were using IE and the requested URL doesn't contain the filename part. The real web browsers would pick up the filename from the response header flawlessly.

  • EXPORT to text or CSV format from a form

    Dear all,
    Could you please help me to export the data from my form to a text file or to a csv format. I am very new to forms.
    i need to export the data from the oracle form to a text file or CSV file format.
    I had created form named as form1.
    In form1 i have a block named as block1. In this block i have 4fields as field1, field2, field3, field4. using a tabe1 which has the same 4fields.
    This form is in tabular form.
    Example:
    In the form i have data like as below and i got this data from table1. I used a execute query to get the data from the table into this form.
    field1 field2 field3 field4
    raj 1234 abc 510
    dil 777 hi 787
    Now my requirement is i need to export this data into a file, when i click on a button(Export) it has to browse for a folder on my desktop and i have to name the filename to save the data.
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.

    This should be almost same as in your previous task for import data.
    Try this:
    DECLARE
       v_file_name   VARCHAR2 (100);
       v_file        client_text_io.file_type;
       v_delimiter VARCHAR2(1) := ',';
    BEGIN
       v_file_name := webutil_file.file_save_dialog;
       v_file := client_text_io.fopen (v_file_name, 'w');
       GO_BLOCK ('block1');
       FIRST_RECORD;
       LOOP
            client_text_io.PUT_LINE(v_file, :block1.field1||v_delimiter||:BLOCK1.field2||v_delimiter||:BLOCK1.field3||v_delimiter||:BLOCK1.field4);
        IF :SYSTEM.LAST_RECORD = 'TRUE' THEN
             EXIT;
        END IF;
        NEXT_RECORD;
       END LOOP;
       client_text_io.fclose (v_file);
    END;

  • Premiere Elements 9 PC: Major Importer Failure

    I think that I have gone down every troubleshooting road on trying to discover why "all of a sudden" Premiere Elements 9 PC will not import anything via Get Media/Files and Folders into its Organize interface as is its default behavior. The program fails at that point and shows the message "the program is not responding". Yet if you force the closure of that particular project and reopen a new one, you find that those media that failed to import into Organize in the first project now are live and well in the Organize of the new project. You can drag them from the Organize to the Timeline and use them in this new project. All other functions of Premiere Elements 9 PC appear unaffected by this import failure. AND, source media can be video (any format and size) and photos (any size). This happens even with import of the first and only file being a jpg (800 x 600 pixels).
    My history of Premiere Elements 9 PC/baddrivers.txt file/ and "incompatible driver messages" is well documented in these forums. That involved Windows XP Professional SP3 32 bit and a NVIDIA display card. And, I have been moving along successfully with Premiere Elements 9 PC for several months. About two weeks ago, I upgraded my computer to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit Intel Graphics Card, and Premiere Elements has been performing great until yesterday when what I call "major importer failure" struck. The computer has about 800 GB free hard drive space and about 2.5 GB out of 4.0 GB of available RAM. All of this worked great for about two weeks and now suddenly this yesterday. Did I do anything different or unusual? I think not. I also have Premiere Elements 7 and 8 on this same new computer, and they continue to function perfectly in all respects, whereas Premiere Elements 9 does not. AND, yes I have had the Premiere Elements 9.0.1 Update installed and in use before and after the importer failure.
    Troubleshooting has included
    a. Uninstall/Reinstall from Premiere Elements 9 installation disc + uninstall/reinstall of QuickTime + Photoshop Elements 9 as well.
    b. System Restore (as well as a restore of an earlier version of the installed Premiere Elements 9.
    c. Removal of possible interferring program, such as, Nero InCD.
    d. Removal of recent Windows Updates
    e. Uninstall/reinstall of Intel driver since at one point in the failure the Edit Mode Monitor was displaying part of the Disc Menu Section while the program was in the Organize Mode.
    f. Have looked at permissions, running as Administrator, etc.
    One of the things that I will try this morning is installing Premiere Elements 9 PC on the previous system Windows XP Professional SP3 32 bit to see if there is any major importer failure there at this time.
    If anyone has the time, I would appreciate any comments on a troubleshooting avenue that I may have overlooked. This appears to be another Deja Vu all over again. I hope not.
    Thanks.
    ATR

    Neale
    Thank you for your interest in this issue.
    I still have not pin pointed why my Premiere Elements 9 works great EXCEPT it will not import media into the Organize with Get Media/Files and Folders and attempts to do that drive the program into unresponsiveness and extreme difficult closure, even with the Task Manager.
    Yes, I have already looked at the workaround that you suggested for moving forward in my Premiere Elements 9 PC project, that is, entering all my source media into the Elements Organizer (can do from Photoshop Elements side) so that the source media thumbnail will be in the Premiere Elements Organize "ahead of time", and I will not have to depend upon Get Media/Files and Folders to get that job done.
    But, until I hit the key to this, I think I have an almost perfect better way. My computer is now Windows 7 Professional 64 bit that comes with the Windows XP Mode. Essentially what you have in this mode is a virtual Windows XP Professional SP3 32 bit machine (best I can determine, Microsoft Generic Card). I can install Premiere Elements 9 (same serial number as on the Windows 7), and IT WORKS, no problem with the Get Media/Files and Folders. The one glitch in this perfect solution is setting up to burn to DVD. The Windows 7 Windows XP Mode Virtual Machine will not recognize installed internal DVD/CD drives when you go to write a DVD. The explanation is that the optical drive in XP Mode is a virtual device - read only. I have confirmed this. In order to use Premiere Elements 9 PC burn to disc in this Windows XP Mode , my answer here appears to be plugging in an external DVD burner USB and then using the USB Attach of the Windows XP Mode.
    When Premiere Elements 9 PC was released, I was forced into much troubleshooting of the display issues which are very widely documented here. But then I was using "a real" Windows XP Professional SP3 32 bit" with a NVIDIA card. In the trial version, the BadDrivers.txt and VideoRenderer.dll got me through that episode. For me, the purchased version "essentially" was not afflicted with these same problems, and it has been running great. Now when I go to a new computer system for better performance/greater computer resources (by the way, Intel HD Graphics card), Premiere Elements 9 runs great for two weeks and then this no Get Media/Files and Folders matter sets in accompanied by program going completely knocked out by the event. In all of this, old or new, I have Premiere Elements 7, 8, and 9 installed on the same computer. While Premiere Elements 9 is being hit with these issues, Premiere Elements 7 and 8 are not , same computer environment, same source media, same project preset, et al. For me, the Premiere Elements 9.0.1 has not hit the mark.
    I have done extensive troubleshooting of the this current matter, too long and involved to go into now. I am preparing a full detailed description of the issue and the troubleshooting that went into the search for a fix. I will be posting it at the forum that I frequent. When I post it there, I will supply a link to it for whomever is interested. I have filed a bug report with Adobe on this matter in abridged format as per the space provided in its bug report online form.
    Thanks again for posting.

  • How to import data from CSV file with columns separated by semicolon?

    I migrate database from MS SQL 2008 to ORACLE 11g
    I export data to CSV file from MS SQL
    then I try to import it to Oracle
    several tables goes fine using Import data option in the SQL Developer
    Standard CSV files with data separated by comma were imported.
    chars, date (with format string), and integer data are imported via import wizard without problems
    the problems were when I try to import table with noninteger numbers with modal part separated by comma not by dot
    comma is the standard separator for columns in CSV file
    so I must change the standard separator to semicolon
    then the import wizard have problem to correct recognize the columns data because it use only standard CSV comma separator :-/
    In SQL Developer 1.5.3 Tools -> Preferences -> Migration -> Data Move Options
    I change "End of Column Delimiter" to ; but it doens't work
    Is this possible to change the standard column separator for import data wizzard in SQL Developer 1.5.3?
    Or maybe someone know how to import data in SQL Developer 1.5.3 from CSV when CSV colunn separator is set to semicolon?

    A new preference has been added to customize the import delimiter in main code line. This should be available as part of future release.

  • FM -  gui_upload. Problems uploading CSV format file

    Hi experts,
    I am facing an issue here. I tried to upload a .csv format file using FM - gui_load, in the table LT_RAW all the information is all in one column and rest of the columns are empty.
    How can i get the information to its respective fields?
    below are my codes:
    CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_UPLOAD'
        EXPORTING
          filename                = pv_file
          READ_BY_LINE            = 'X'
          HAS_FIELD_SEPARATOR     = 'X'
          codepage                = '4110'
        IMPORTING
          filelength              = lv_filelength
        TABLES
          data_tab                = lt_raw
        EXCEPTIONS
          file_open_error         = 1
          file_read_error         = 2
          no_batch                = 3
          gui_refuse_filetransfer = 4
          invalid_type            = 5
          no_authority            = 6
          unknown_error           = 7
          bad_data_format         = 8

          disk_full               = 15
          dp_timeout              = 16
          OTHERS                  = 17.
    I can only upload using .CSV format.

    Hi Suhas,
    below is the new code that i used. now the data is not filled in only one column,
    Instead it will fill up the max length of the field and continue the data in other field and fill up its max length of the field.
    " my declaration of lt_raw and ls_raw
    lt_raw            TYPE TABLE OF ZCTD_MIGCUSTOMER,
    ls_raw            like line of lt_raw,
    CALL FUNCTION 'GUI_UPLOAD'

  • How to use CSV format in making a data connection.

    Hello All,
    I have got a form to develop. There are over 1000 entries to be imported. Can I use CSV format to embed those data in the forms. Mainly those data would be embedded as dropdowns.If I can use how to do it ? If i can not use is there any better way without using the Database like MySQL or something.
    Thanks.
    Bibhu.

    Hi Afroz,
    To be more specific, if the csv file doesn't has header, please refer to this script to add header:
    $csv = Import-Csv d:\haha.csv -Header "UserA","UserXYZ","EmailA"
    Then you can loop this csv file to run the "add-mailboxpermission" cmdlet, I recommend you can test this script before running against production environment, please also note I haven't tested this script:
    $csv = Import-Csv d:\users.csv -Header "UserA","UserXYZ","EmailA"
    foreach($each in $csv){
    write-host "assign fullaccess permission of user $($each.UserXYZ) on mailbox $($each.EmailA)"
    get-mailbox -identity $each.EmailA | add-mailboxpermission -user $each.UserXYZ -accessrights 'fullaccess'
    If there is anything else regarding this issue, please feel free to post back.
    Best Regards,
    Anna Wang

  • Data import XML and CSV

    Hi,
    I have customized incident form and added few fields as per our requirement.
    All customized fields are in a separate class extension "ClassExtension_9cd2b3e6_25ea_4385_9a94_fc08e0cf6172"
    Now we are planing to import incident data from our legacy ticketing tool (Manageengine Servicedesk).
    Here is my XML code
