    What do you mean you can't write HTML5 code?  Are you working within an HTML5 doc type?
    To make HTML5 your default doc type, go to Edit > Preferences > New Document.  Click on screenshots below.
    To create a new page, go to File > New > Blank page > HTML.  Select none from the 3rd column.  Select HTML5 doc type.  Hit Create button.

    The Adobe Connect support staff recommended that we use Adobe Premiere Elements to edit the FLV file that we exported out of their software.  We purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 12 based on that advice.  Now we see that FLV files are not on the list of supported import files. 
    How can I import an FLV file from Adobe Connect into Adobe Premiere Elements 12 for editing?

    Welcome to the forum.
    Over the years, I have used Moyea's Flash Importer plug-in for PrPro, and it has worked perfectly. With about PrPro CS 4, IIRC, Adobe did add an FLV Importer, so Moyea began to suspend development of that plug-in. Then, with the release of the CC version of PrPro, they dropped FLV completely.
    Now, Moyea does have other programs, but I do not know if any of them are plug-ins for PrE. However, many of their programs can create, edit and output FLV.
    There is also a (free, if memory serves) FLV converter, FLV to AVI, which I used to convert FLV files, before I discovered the Moyea plug-in for my PrPro.
    I would look into Moyea, to see if there is anything, that will work as a plug-in to PrE, http://www.video-to-flash.com/products/, and if not, explore a program, such as FLV to AVI: http://www.pazera-software.com/products/flv-to-avi-converter/

    While the best practice is to recreate any customizations you made from previous versions to the new version to prevent any hiccups, you can certainly try copying the .indk file from the V8 (InDesign CS6) folder to the V9 (CC) folder.
    Launch InDesign CS6, Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > create a new set with all your custom keyboard shortcuts
    Launch InDesign CC, Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts > create a new set with the same set name as existed in CS6 but make no modifications
    Locate and copy the [set name].indk file in version 8 and replace it in version 9
    Repeat the above step for any custom sets you made
    Here's the path to locate the .indk file
    Windows Vista and Windows 7 & 8
    Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\InDesign\[Version]\[Language]\InDesign Shortcut Sets
    Mac OS
    Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Adobe InDesign/[version]/[language]/InDesign Shortcut Sets

  • How do I import custom export presets from PPro CS6 to PPro CC?

    In CS6 I have a big list of custom export settings specific to the various broadcasters that I upload content to; would like to not have to rebuild them all in CC.  How can I transfer them over?  I cannot find where the custom export presets are stored in the system.  Mac OSX 10.7.5

    Here's what I did on a PC.  Should work similarly on a Mac.
    Open Adobe Media Encoder CS6.
    Select your customer preset.
    From the "Preset" menu, select "Export", and choose somewhere to temporarily save the preset file.
    In AME CC, you then need to import these files.

  • How Can Customer Service Go From Great to Poor Like This?

    Not sure of the correct sub-forum to post this in so I decided to post my experience here.
    I purchased a 55 inch Vizio TV off of BestBuy.com after my old TV blew a fuse and died back on January 11th and it scheduled for delivery on the 17th. Mainly because my work schedule conflicts with the 7am-7pm delivery times that Best Buy offers and they could guarnantee that it would be delivered by 8am on a weekday.
    I received an automated call around 8pm on ther 16th letting me know that my delivery was scheduled for the 17th sometime between 4pm and 7pm. The delivery drivers called me twice on the 17th, the first time was around noon, informing me that they would be at my apartment sometime between 6pm and 7pm. And again at 6:30pm letting me know they were 5 minutes away and would be there shortly. The delivery drivers showed, dropped off my new TV, took away my old one, and since it was extremely cold outside, I let the TV sit before hooking it up so that it could get to room temperature.
    All in all, I was satisfied with the experience. No issues whatsever, the delivery drivers were nice and once I had hooked the TV up it was great. I loved the new TV.
    Then a little over a month later on February 24th, a very large section of the TV (about 1/6th) of the screen, was all of the sudden darker then the rest of the TV. It wasn't completely blacked out, but the entire top left hand side of the screen was darker, in an almost perfect rectangluar shape, going from the left hand side to the middle of the screen and about 1/3rd of the way down. Almost like for that section the brightness level was set a lot lower then the rest of the TV.
    So I went into my local Best Buy, Store #295 on Morse Rd in Ohio, to ask them what the proper procedure was to get it fixed/replaced since I only had it for a little over a month and had purchased a 2 year protection plan on it. Since it was a 55 inch TV, I was given a number to call and told to talk with a Geek Squad Agent to schedule an appointment for someone to come out and look at it. I called the number and scheduled an appointment for that Saturday (do to work my schedule) for someone to take a look at it.
    Again, the people I talked to in Customer Service were nice and helpful in this situation. And the Geek Squad Agent himself, Alex that came out to my apartment on February 28th was excellent and helpful. Said it was a defective panel and since Vizio doesn't make replacement panels, it would have to be exchanged. Though apparently that day, the number he was trying to call in to get an exchange confirmation for was screwed up and apparently all calls being made into Best Buy (i'm not sure if he was calling the main headquarters or not) were all being re-routed to Consumer Relations regardless of what phone option he chose, and if he tried to get transferred it would get transferred back to Consumer Relations. So he had to wait till later hoping the phone system got fixed to get me a confirmation. It was around noon that he was at my apartment it wasn't until about 6pm that I call back and an e-mail from Alex giving me my exchange confirmation number. I know that the phone issue wasn't his fault, but he was very apologetic about the situation.
    He told me take the confirmation into any Best Buy and they would get me squared away with a new TV and schedule its delivery and pick-up the defective TV. Unfortunately, I was no longer at home and was about 2 hours away with family for the rest of the weekend. So on March 2nd, I went into my local Best Buy again, talked with Ebony and the Customer Service desk, who was helpful and polite. I gave her the exchange number, she got me all set up with a delivery date for March 7th (cause I couldn't be there at any point during the week) and I was on my way.
    Up to this point, even though I've had issues with the product I've purchased, everyone I've spoken with in regards to getting it fixed/replaced has been extremely polite and helpful. And then it all goes wrong apparently.
    Now, unlike when I first purchased the TV, I received no confirmations for my delivery. I didn't get any e-mail confirmations, no automated call the night before, and no calls from any delivery drivers the day of the delivery. So since I had heard nothing, I called my local Best Buy to see why I hadn't heard anything yet. It was around 3pm when I first called, it took 10 minutes for someone to answer the phone after going through the automated prompts, the person I talked to, whose name I can't remember took my info from my receipt and told me that he is showing me in the system as having being scheduled a delivery for the 7th and that my TV should be on the delivery truck. I asked him why I hadn't heard anything, he said he didn't know, that's all the information his system was showing him and to get more detailed info he would have to call the delivery company. Which to me means that its not Best Buy who is delivering the TV but a 3rd party company. He asked me if he should call them, but he didn't know how long it would take to get a hold of someone, but assured me that the delivery was on the truck and would be coming today.
    Thinking back I should have asked him to call, but I told him as long as you're telling me that you are verifying that its coming today thats fine, I was just concernced since I hadn't heard anything or gotten any confirmations except what was on my receipt. He said according to his system my delivery would be there today.
    Well, 8pm came around and I still hadn't had anyone show up, nor I had I received any calls. So I called back, talked to someone else, who then told me had to research it and call me back. 8:40pm I get a call back and am told that they have no idea what happened or why I didn't get my delivery today, but because its so late now they can't get a hold of anyone and would have to wait until tomorrow. And that if I didn't hear from them by noon to give them a call. So no one knows whats going on, their system gives them limited info, and no can answer my questions as to what happened.
    So today at 11:30am I get a call from Best Buy to tell me that the situation has been fixed and they've scheduled a new delivery date for the 14th. And that they still have no idea what happened in regards to the delivery not showing up yesterday. To me this in unacceptable, I still have no info as to what happened and no one can tell me what happened, a new delivery date was made without asking me first and it was made for another week from now. Why couldn't if be delivered today? And all this person could tell me, was that the Back Office Manager fixed the problem and I have new delivery date according to the note he had.
    Taking out my anger on an employee is pointless so I don't do it. I'm angry, but I also know that the people i'm talking to an on the phone aren't directly responsible. They were just handed the call or told to make a call. But something, somewhere got screwed up and the only response I get is the delivery has been rescheduled. If I had known that this would have have happened, I would have rented a U-Haul truck and brought the defective TV back and picked the new TV up myself. The whole reason I had it delivered was because I can't fit a TV this size in my car without causing damage to it or my car.
    Just how did I go from getting helpful employees with answers, to a bunch of people who don't know what's going on and can only say i'm sorry?

    Discovering that your brand new TV is quite working as it should would be incredibly disappointing, so I’m glad to hear we were able to offer you an exchange when repairing it wasn’t a viable option underneath your Geek Squad Protection plan.  It’s regrettable that the exchange delivery appointment didn’t go as smoothly as your first though, and I’m sorry for any frustration this may have caused.
    As you may be aware, you should have received a call from us either the night before or early morning of your appointment date. Upon review of your account information using the information you provided when registering for the forum, I noticed that we never had you scheduled for March 7th despite your receipt indicating otherwise. This could explain why our agents were unsure as to why your delivery appointment wasn’t on our schedule. I truly apologize for the oversight.

  • Shift of Customer service department from Non SAP system

    I have two companies one in SAP and other Non SAP .Now the Client has planned to move/MERGE  the Customer service department  (ONLY ) of the non SAP legacy to the existing SAP company code ,though there is no physical movement of Goods from the  new merged SAP plant since all sales process involve 100% drop shipment.So for this what should be the ideal approach ?
    My gues would be to create New Sales area/Sales office/ sales group assigned to the SAP company code,data upload of material master/customer master/vendor/open order/open billing etc..
    Pls advise if this the apt one ?

    Please check configuration "Reset Time Series for Incoming ProductActivityNotifications". This should help you reset old values with new values.

  • Numerous customer service issues from large purchase last night

    Hello.
    I purchased the Xbox One Assassin's Creed: Unity Bundle (SKU #8439032) on 11/10/2014 at store #1494. Before going to the store, I chatted with a Best Buy representative online, and he confirmed that I could in fact use both of the $50 vouchers toward the purchase. I then called a Best Buy store and asked them to confirm that, which they did.
    After this, I went to my local store and traded in two consoles (each earned a $100 gift card plus a voucher for $50 toward the purchase of the Xbox One), and two controllers (each earned a $10 gift card). At this point, I had $320 in credit toward the new purchase. However, only one of the $50 was applied. Additionally, a price match with Costco (which the employee told me was a valid price match) was not applied.
    After the purchase, I made several calls to Best Buy's customer service phone number. After 20 minutes, the first representative was locked out of her PC application and advised me to call back. Upon calling back, I was transfered to an employee at corporate, who was insultingly rude and abrupt with me, talking over me and being uncharacteristically unprofessional. I told her that I was shocked by this and I politely ended the call after 40 minutes. I called back again and spoke to a very nice representative, to whom I explained the pricing issues as well as the previous experience with the unprofessional representative. She talked to her manager and they agreed to transfer me to a gift card division (or something similar) so they could rectify the issue with a form of compensation; however, we too were disconnected during the transfer. I called back one final time, and after 30 minutes with another representative, I was disconnected yet again while being transfered to a supervisor.
    Please note that I was extremely polite and had a calm demeanor during every interaction. I know that there are people just like you and me on the other end of the phone, and I always treat them with respect. However, after spending that much time on the phone, experiencing an extrememly rude employee, and being subject to a pricing/promotional error, I must kindly ask for a rectification for the issues experienced.
    I have a varierty of documentation, including the unused $50 voucher, receipt, competitor's advertisement, and trade in receipts.

    Welcome to the forum. Our trade in promotions are a great way to upgrade your gaming technology. I can understand you wanting to take advantage of the gift cards, coupons from the trade-in, along with a price match. I was disappointed to read about your poor customer service experience when you called our support line, and I truly apologize for the frustration this may have caused. 
    In order to take advantage of our promotions and Price Match Guarantee, there are certain conditions that must be met to qualify. According to the terms and conditions of the console trade-in promotion, there is a limit of 1 trade-in per person; therefore you would only be able use one coupon per transaction. I'm not sure why the store allowed 2 trade in consoles. Also, our Price Match Guarantee does not cover coupon offers, and because you were using the coupon from the trade-in promotion, they would not be able to apply the price match. 
    That being said, there is no excuse for the poor customer service you were offered when you called, and I'm very sorry for any frustration and wasted time you experienced. I assure you I will be documenting your comments for review.

  • What does customer service mean at Adobe?

    I am a frustrated long time Adobe customer.  I have survived the ordeal that was Adobe Premier version 4.0 and the continuing slop being marketed as Adobe Encore.  The final straw for me was over an order last Friday the 31st.  I ordered CS4 WebStandard on-line and inadvertently left the download version selected.  After submitting the order, I realized I had made the mistake and contacted the 'tech' through the chat.  The tech said I could cancel the order, but I would first have to submit the corrected order.  So I followed the directions and submitted a second order for the boxed DVD version.  The chat person then informed me that he couldn't personally cancel the first order, I would need to contact customer service.  So after the 1/2 hour wait on the phone, I talked to customer service and 'Napoleon' told me I couldn't cancel the first order since it was immediately filled and billed.  I also couldn't cancel the second order because it was still pending.  I would either have to stop payment at my bank before the billing was submitted (not possible with my bank), or call on Monday to cancel the order after it was processed but before it was sent.  On Monday, 'Michelle' at customer service (ha-ha) informed me that they could not cancel the order once it was placed, even though the order was not shipped and showed pending on the order history, but I could return it after it arrived and then they would refund my money.  Once they authorized a return, it would take a week for the refund to process.  I asked to speak to a supervisor, but Michelle said it wouldn’t do any good.  I asked to speak to one anyways and she told me I would need to call back in an hour or two.
    So it takes less than 10 seconds for Adobe to debit my bank account for an online, downloadable order, but they need a week to refund it.  They also have a policy that once they start an order, they will never stop the order, even though the request is made prior to anything being boxed or actually shipping.  Perhaps a better name for customer service would be 'You customers are suckers so don't even bother calling us unless you want to give us more money".

    Adobe customer service must be evaluated by the number of calls they respond to, not whether the calls are resolved.  That leads to the call center people adopting an attitude where they can say anything as long as they can get you off the phone.  Some middle management clown can then report how effective the whole thing is to his boss.  Everyone but the customer is happy and as long as you can't talk to a supervisor, the chances of you being able to rain on the parade are extremely slim.
    I'll try writing a letter directly to the CEO.  Maybe he gives a crap.  At the least, maybe I'll get a meaningless form letter and can confirm that Adobe is certified SNAFU.

    I developed the form in SFP, I created a webservice and tested the web service with a third party tool, this works fine. I added a new dataconnection and imported the wsdl file. I linked the request parameter to a from field and the returns parameters to a form field, added a button with "execute" , with run at server option. I didn't check the Re-merge Form data check-box. When generating the form everything go's well, when I open the form in the reader and fill in the request parameter and push the button i still get the message : 
    "can not post data to."
    I'm using Adobe Reader 7.09 and Life Cycle Designer 7.1. On a SAP ECC 6.0 SP08 system.
    Additionaly I looking for example script for binding the request node to a field value ? Or a examples of searching a node table with a value, like a check table within the form. I'm really looking for more scripting examples because I'm a real ABAP-guy.
    I hope some one got some extra information for me to solve this problem.

    You may refer the Adobe ddevelopment center for the docs related to the execute property of the button to trigger a web service.
    <i>Alternatively, if you do not want to create a button to execute a call to a Web Service, you can do it via Script.
    Assuming your Data Connection is named ‘LeasePayment’
    For JavaScript:
    xfa.connectionSet.LeasePayment.execute(0);
    For Form Calc:
    $connectionSet.LeasePayment.execute(0);
    execute(0) indicates no data merging
    execute(1) indicates all the data in the data DOM will be remerged.</i> - Adobe doc.

  • Mov import fails after updating from version 4 to 4.2.1

    Okay, here's the story:
    I've got 2 Computers - my AVID System and my new Premiere Pro System (that I hate already!)
    I exported 2 QT file from AVID Express.
    1. a QT .mov file with avid dv codec
    2. a QT .mov file animation uncompressed
    I Installed QT PLAYER and the AVID Codecs on my new PP Computer and tried to import both files into PP CS4 (Vers. 4.2.1)
    Both files were imported, Audio was okay, but video appeard black.
    I deinstalled PP and installed version 4.0 from the original DVDs. I imported the videos again and:
    Video 1 (AVID codec) imported fine and video was there!
    Video 2 QT uncompressed didn't import! Still Audio but a black video!
    Then I updated to PP 4.2.1 and now both videos have the same problem again. Just sound and a black video...
    I need at least to be able to open an uncomressed QT .mov

    Hmm, I don't seem to have that problem and I have Avid and Premiere Pro on the same Mac laptop.
    Couple of things to try - most of which I'm sure you've already done.
    latest version of QuickTime
    latest version of the Avid codecs - it's sometimes a pain as I've been fooled by the Avid website as to what's the latest version in the past.
    clear your prefs - http://blogs.adobe.com/genesisproject/2009/11/having_weird_behavior_with_an.html
    provide some more information about your system - specifically graphics card and driver version, OS, memory, etc would be nice too.
    I think that adjusting to any new NLE takes some time: For example, I find Avid somewhat frustrating by it's modality, but obviously it's a great editor nonetheless.  There are a lot of free tutorials that you can explore at Adobe TV among others.

    I am trying to migrate Financial Reporting from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.1 using LCM. I have exported Shared Services & Reporting-Analysis data via LCM utility.
    While importing the same through File System in 11.1.2.1 , I am getting errors related to Groups, Users import
                /Native Directory/Assigned Roles/Essbase:<11.1.1.3 servername>:1
               EPMIE-25029: Invalid project Essbase:<11.1.1.3 servername>
               /Native Directory/Assigned Roles/Foundation : Error : EPMIE-25026: Failed to import all of the provisioning info. Invalid product type/role for application Shared Services.
                /Native Directory/Assigned Roles/Planning: Error : EPMIE-25029: Invalid project Planning.
             What part of the 11.1.1.3 exported files need to be edited/modified before importing into 11.1.2.1 ?
    Please help if you have any suggestions & other ways of migrating Financial Reporting from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.1
