Importing classes with embedded java

I have the following line of code:
Element input = (Element)getVariableData("sourceString");
I'm trying to get the value the the variable 'sourceString' from the bpel process. When I try and compile I get the error:
class bpel.testmq.Element not found.
testmq is the name of my bpel process.
I have tried using javax.lang.model.Element, and org.jdom.Element with no success.
cheers

Finally, I think I have figured out all my java issues.
to import java classes all you need to do is enter the following in the source code of your bpel process. This is places after the last line of the process and before the partner links.
<bpelx:exec import="java.util.*"/>
<bpelx:exec import="java.lang.*"/>
<bpelx:exec import="java.rmi.RemoteException"/>
<bpelx:exec import="javax.naming.NamingException"/>
<bpelx:exec import="org.w3c.dom.Element"/>
<bpelx:exec import="java.math.*"/>
cheers

  • Import CLASS with no package name in VAJ

    IMport statement in VAJ for .class (no source and No package specified in the class) goes always to the "default package". Is there any way how to:
    1. change package in existing class wihout source
    2. do the "package naming" when the class is imported ?
    3. refer this "default package" by import statement ?(it has no valid name , of course)
    I have tried whatever, but ...? I know, this question was already here in forum at 2001, but, nobody responded ... tks //petr

    There is no way of doing it to the class file. Class files cannot be compiled and therefore cannot be changed.
    You could download a decompiler which gives decompiles the class into a .java file. Then edit that java file to move the class.

  • TopLink, Netbeans 7.4 with embedded Java DB

    Hi,
    I need some guidance please as I'm new to this subject.
    I'm building a Java SE application of a catalogue of music albums and I've looked at the few tutorials (specific to NetBeans) about data binding and TopLink Essentials. However, none of the tutorials work when I try to bind data from an embedded Java DB database table to a Swing JTable.
    The version of TopLink Essentials is TopLink_101340. In the library, which I had to create in NB 7.4, I've included the toplink-essentials.jar and toplink-essentials-agent.jar. The JPA that appears in the persistance.xml file is 1.0.
    What am I supposed to be doing? Are there any tutorials for NB 7.4/Java SE/embedded Java DB/TopLink Essentials?
    Many thanks in advance for helpful responses.

  • How to integrate a class with template.java - Java Concurrent Program. 11i

    Hello, I have a java class I got from a vendor. This java class needs to run through as concurrent program. As per metalink note *How To Create a Java Concurrent Program? • Importing classes with unnamed namespace

    Hi,
    I'm currently assigned to a class assignment that requires me to build a calculator bean using a class that was provided. Problem was, we were expected to import the provided class in an unnamed namespace - something that was possible in SDK 1.3 but not in 1.4. Recompiling the source for the class is out of the question, since the source code wasn't provided and the lecturer refused to do so - instead, he told my class to go back to SDK 1.3. But I already have the latest SDK(1.4.1_01) installed, and I do not intend to go back to an older version of the SDK or have both SDK installed side-by-side. Is there any known workaround to make the compiler ignore unnamed namespaces? Please help.

    since the source code wasn't provided
    and the lecturer refused to do so - instead, he told
    my class to go back to SDK 1.3. And you might also keep in mind that the lecturer might be incompetent since he refused to provide and updated version and could not provide a suggestion on how to do it with 1.4. So be careful about everything he tells you.

  • Importing files with embedded IPTC metadata - Workaround?

    I was hoping the the "metadata improvments" that Apple delivered with Aperture v.1.1 would include the ability to import legacy files with IPTC and XMP metadata embedded by Photoshop, iView, Photo Mechanic, and other similar programs.
    Unless I am missing something that ability is still not a part of the Aperture program.
    I really like Aperture and think Apple has got many things right in the new program. I would like to make it my primary tool for digital image management. That would require the ability to read into the Aperture Library the metadadta written by other programs.
    Does anyone have a workaround for importing files that lets other programs IPTC tags be imported or connected with the files.

    Gilles-
    I think your problem is likely that you have the option to stack the copy with the original turned on. First, right-click on one of these photos and go to the stacking menu. If Unstack is not grayed out then you have a stack -- select Unstack to reveal all copies.
    To change the automatic stacking of edited copies from Photoshop, when you next choose to edit a file, in the bottom left corner of the dialog is the check box for unstacking. Clear it, and that choice should "stick" until you change it again.
    Hope this helps!

  • Address Book: Importing vcards with embedded photos

    Hi folks,
    This question would perhaps be more at home in the Apple Developer Connection Forums, but as I can't access those without a paid ADC account, I thought I'd try here on the off chance someone knows.
    In short, I'm writing an application that does clever things with vcards, and it would be great if it could export them to Address Book.
    That in itself is simple, but I'd also like to embed a photograph in each vcard. So, I'm successfully encoding the image into a base64 string (tested), and other applications like Entourage will happily open and see the image, but Address Book won't.
    After much Google-ing I've learned that apparently Address Book expects very specific formatting (and possibly whitespace) in and around the base64 string, which is all well and good, except no one seems to know what that formatting is!
    I've looked in the ADC Reference Library but it doesn't go into enough detail.
    So, is there anyone who happens to know how to format a base64 string for Address Book?
    EDIT: I am aware that Address Book doesn't require the string to be wrapped, and I have tried not wrapping my base64 string and if I do that then my vcards will successfully import with their photos (Entourage seems happy with unwrapped strings too).
    However, this is not an ideal solution as other vcard applications may not be so accepting, and I don't believe vcards can have multiple photo fields.

    Thanks, but right now I can't afford the $500 I'd have to spend in order to buy the sufficient level of ADC membership to use the developer forums. I just thought I'd ask here on the off chance, as I know there are sometimes a few developers lurking around.
    Having said that, after reading posts such as this: http://markmail.org/message/5dbslpeyhjcjxug4
    I'm beginning to think there are only a handful of people who know the answer, so I may have to give up and use a work-around.

    Hi ,
    In your java project frm jdev..right click and choose general and then choose deployment profiles and then choose Jar ..and then give some appropriate name(abc) and then click ok.
    Then under resources file u get a abc.deploy file right click and say deploy to jar ..u will find the jar in that director.Now include this jar in your prjct libraries.
    have a look at the link http://niallcblogs.blogspot.com/search/label/embedded%20Java

  • How do I import a file with embedded timecode?

    I'm tryimg to import files with embedded timecode but FCP is not reading the embedded code and is assigning new code with 00 hr timecode.
    Is there a way to get FCP to read info from the file header?

    The files I am trying to import are are HD quicktime files (1920x1080 23.98 fps) with all timecode and reel# info embedded. When I import them into final cut, all my reel numbers show AUX and all timecode reels start with 00 hr timecode. I'm trying to find a way to get FCP to read the embedded info off the file header.
    I am finishing on a Smoke, which has options to read the info from the header and I'm getting it no problem. But our offline editors are not able to read that same code in their FCP 7 systems.

  • Exporting SpeedGrade Project with Embedded Alpha Channel

    Hello! I am currently writing with a problem I can't seem to find a solution for in SpeedGrade. My problem is that I imported footage with embedded alpha channel enabling me to chroma-key out a green screen. I would like to export this file now with the alpha channel still embeded to be delivered to Premiere. Is this possible?
    Your help is greatly appreciated!
    Philip

    Thanks Fran,
    I'm using uncopressed QT, animation.
    I did the color correction on a grading track and I think that's what killed the alpha, because when I selected the track with the footage the alpha was being read properly. So what I did instead is I saved a .look file and imported it in After Effects, I rendered from there.
    Can you have the grading track read the alpha from the original footage or if not can you copy the attributes from one track to another, as if I was moving all the grading from the grading track to the footage tiself instead of having to do it again from scratch?
    Thanks again,
    David.

  • Error with import of new compiled java package

    Hi,
    in order to change some code in the java classes of the packages stored in the VV2-Content, 1.0 of SAP -> http://sap.com/xi/ISU-IDEX-GE/VV2 -> Mapping Objects -> Imported Archive, I exported all packages in this folder, extracted them, decompiled some classes (using jad), in which I would like to change some code, and imported these classes associated with other exported packages in a new project of eclipse. after changing the code and successfully compiling these java classes (with no error), I exported the ".class" from eclipse, replaced the old ".class" in the packages with the newly compiled ones(in a zip file) and at the end imported the changed packages (in zip files) in the folder "Imported Archive". After saving and activating the change, I sent an IDOC from R3 system to the XI system for test. In the monitor of the XI system, there was an error, which is
    "Inkompatible Versionen von Klassen (Linkage Error)" (in English "incompatible versions of classes (linkage error)"). Can anyone tell me, how I can do with this error? Thanks.

    Vishal,
    thanks for your reply. Actually I did change some code in the decompilied class "XEdixml2EdiConverter". I think this class does nothing with mapping(transformation), but it converts the tranformed edixml to final edifact. Can I test it in the repository as you said?
    regards
    Bin
