Importing web project into Workshop 9.2

Hi,
I'm trying to import an existing web project into Workshop 9.2.1 from my Subversion source. Unfortunately Workshop doesn't recognize this project as a valid web project.
I imported the code project using 'File>Import>Existing Projects' into Workspace.
Unfortunately, I get the following errors:
- "The library module reference : beehive-netui-1.0 is not allowed from the classpath of a non-web project, only JAR,EJB, and EAR module types are allowed."
- "The library module reference : jstl is not allowed from the classpath of a non-web project, only JAR,EJB, and EAR module types are allowed."
How do I tell Workshop that this project is indeed a web project?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Derrek

Wow.... I figured out a workaround (aka Ugly Hack). It seems that Workshop doesn't properly import Portlet projects. Here's how I got around it:
1. Checkout the code from Subversion
d:\MyProjects\Project\trunk\MyComponent\
2. Move MyComponent to a temp directory
d:\MyProjects\Project\trunk\MyComponent\ --> d:\tmp\MyComponent
3. Open Workshop and create a new Portal project and PortalEAR project of the same name as the MyComponent projects
File>New myComponentPortal
4. Copy over the src and WebContent directories in the SVN directory with the files from tmp.
d:\tmp\MyComponent\src -> d:\MyProjects\Project\trunk\MyComponent\src
d:\tmp\MyComponent\src\WebContent -> d:\MyProjects\Project\trunk\MyComponent\WebContent
5. Refresh Workshop and let the spooky voodoo happen. Viola! Now I've got a running portal project with a SVN connection.

  • Help importing Workshop 8.1 project into Workshop 10

    Hi,
I'm trying to import a workshop 8.1.4 project into workshop 10 using the "Import > Other > Workshop 8.1 Application " wizard.
    I select "myapp.work".
I then click on "Target Runtime > New" button to make sure my project is pointing to the 8.1 runtime and not the 10.1 runtime.
From the "New Server Runtime" wizard, I select "Weblogic 8.1", and then click on "next". I then select the 8.1 Application Server Directory, in my case it's "e:\bea814\weblogic81"
    I then click on "Finish",
    Now the problem:
I get brought back to the "Application Import" wizard, but the 8.1 Runtime is still not installed. I dont get an error message, and the eclipse .log file is empty...
    PLEASE HELP.
    Thanks.

Workshop 10.0 only supports WLS 10.0. Workshop 10.1 supports 8.1, 9.0, 9.1, 9.2 and 10.0, but support for 8.1, 9.0 and 9.1 is limited to standard J2EE technologies. Controls, NetUI, EjbGen, WLS Web Services, etc. are only supported on 9.2 and 10.0.
If you have a Workshop 8.1 app that uses any of above features, then you would have to migrate to WLS 9.2 or 10.0 in order to use Workshop 10.1 with your application. The import process will upgrade your project metadata and make changes to your source code such that it will work on the newer version of WLS.
If you have a Workshop 8.1 app that only uses straight J2EE technology, then it would be possible for you to move to Workshop 10.1 while continuing to target WLS 8.1. The catch is that you have to do a bit more work manually to make that happen. There is no upgrade wizard for this case, but you can create new projects in Workshop 10.1 that target WLS 8.1 and copy your existing Workshop 8.1 source files into the new projects.
Hope this clarifies what is and what isn't possible.

  • How to import existing projects into JDeveloper 11g

I am trying to work with JDeveloper for my application and want to know whether it is possible to import existing projects into the work space in JDeveloper. I am currently working with eclipse IDE and this feature is available in it. How can I connect to clear case from JDeveloper? In eclipse it is very easy to connect to clear case with a plugin installed and check out, check in files from the source control. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The basic way to import code is to use the "New->Projects->Project from existing code" or "project from WAR" dialogs to create your project.
You then need to do some tweaking in the project properties->Content (and sub nodes such as resources and Web content).
And also set the correct JARs/Libraries in the project properties.
You can use the help->check for update to download the extension to JDeveloper that will let you integrate with Clearcase to do version management.
This how-to might help you with your migration:

  • Import jdeveloper project to workshop

Is thwere a way to import jdeveloper project into oracle workshop
taking into consideartion that i need to run on oc4j

There is no special support for importing JDeveloper projects into Eclipse or Workshop, but you can always create a new project of the appropriate type and copy the source code over into the new project. Workshop has support for versions 10.1.3 and 10.1.3.1 of OC4J.

  • Importing imovie project into Final Cut Pro

Hello I need help getting my HD imovie project into final cut pro. I recored the project in 24p and it's already imported into imovie. What is the best way to get it into Final Cut Pro so that I can edit it further without sacrificing the quality.
Another problem is that I have heard that imovie compresses the video and totally ruins the quality. Is this true? And is this reversible in any way? I have already recorded over all the clips for this project on my camcorder. How screwed am I?
    -Michael

First thing to do is find your original clips that you captured in IMovie. I don't have much experience in IMovie, but see if you can select a clip and control click and choose reveal in finder. If that works, open one of these clips in quicktime player and hit command-i and let us know the format of the clip.
Kind of doubt you'll be able to actually import your project into fcp, but you should be able to recreate it in fcp without too much difficulty.
Let us know what camera you shot and captured from. That may be of some help.
Hopefully someone with more experience in IMovie will speak up, but hopefully this will get us started.

  • Error while importing MS project into cProject

    Hi
I am getting the below error while importing MS project client file or XML file into cProjects.
    dpr_shared087
    Logon language becomes original language
    Message no. DPR_SHARED087
    Diagnosis
The logon language is defined as a possible text language in Customizing for Collaboration Projects under Specify Text Languages. Therefore, it is valid.
    System Response
The logon language becomes the original language of the new object that was created.
Kindly suggest what configuration data if any is missing.

    Hi
I am getting the below error while importing MS project into cProject.
Error occurred when importing from Microsoft Project
    Message no. DPR_UI_BSP116
    Diagnosis
When a project is imported from Microsoft Project, the system generates an XML string during internal processing. A project is then created in cProjects from this string.
The XML string contains errors because the values from Microsoft Project were transferred without verification.
    Procedure for System Administration
Notify SAP or call the cProjects application with the "DebugMode=X" query string and carry out the import again.
The XML string that was generated temporarily is then validated against the cProjects XML schema. The error message from the XML parser is then displayed in the popup.
Kindly suggest, if the below steps for importing MS project is ok or not?
step 1: Create project in MS project with tasks.
step 2: Maintain maping fields of MSP in cProject configurat
step 3: Import MPP file into cProject using "Import" button.
step 4: I am getting the above error while importing the MPP file.

can i import Jdeveloper project into Eclipse 4.7 juno????please help me.
when i tried this it is giving some errors in project ie mismatching in configurations....!so i want soln please .

    Hi,
first recommendation is to not use Eclipse natively but use OEPE that ships with Eclispse Juno. This way you have the IDE prepared for ADF projects. However, still the JDeveloper workspace structure does not fit the Eclipse structure.

  • Trouble Importing Motion Projects into DVD Studio

I’m in the process of creating a Demo DVD and I was looking to use Motion to create menus and transitions in DVD Studio Pro. Every time I try to import a project I get an “Incompatible Format” error. My roommate’s iMac G5 imports Motion projects with no problems. I called Applecare to get help and was told Motion was bad and to reinstall it. I did and it didn’t work. (It was also suggested that my video card might not be good enough. Doesn’t make sense though because my roommate’s iMac does the trick.) I called back like I was told and was informed by another guy that I don’t have support available to me because the complimentary phone support expired last year. What is the world is wrong? Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m game for a complete hard drive wipe if it’ll fix the problem? My specs are below. Here are the specs of my roommate's computer:
    Processor: 2.1 GHz PowerPC G5
    RAM: 1.5 GB DDR2 SDRAM
Video Card: ATI Radeon X600 XT, 128 VRAM
    Software: Final Cut Studio Academic
    Please help me!!
    ~Thanks

One more thing, I tried opening up my project no DVDSP on my roommate's computer and it worked. His own project worked too. I brought the same files over to my computer (I opened the files both time off my thumbdrive, so they're the same files, not copies) and I got the same "Incompatable Format" error.
I also cannot import Motion projects into FCP either, but both my roommates can.

  • Importing a Project into Eclipse

    Hi Folks,
My collegue just zipped up a flex project and emailed it to
me. I'm trying to get it set up in my own Eclipse/FlexBuilder, and
could sure use a little guidance, since I'm new to all this.
First, shall I create a new Eclipse workspace for this
    project?
Then what? The File | Import function demands that I create a
"New Project". But if I create a flex project, it creates a whole
bunch of files that will just be over-written when I unzip the
*real* project. Which will probably corrupt somebody's view of the
    project.
If, instead, I create a new project, and Import into that,
well, what sort of project should I create?
And where do I point my workspace directory? Anywhere seems
to do, but should it point to the place where I unzip the real
    project files?
And finally, is there some documentation that covers these
basic mechanics? This just seems far far far more complicated than
it needs to be, and a simple explanation of how to set up new and
exlisting Eclipse/Flex projects would be a great help.
    Thanks,
    ws
p.s. If anyone has a Team Server plugin for Eclipse, please
let me know. That too would be a great help!

Question 1) does your ziped project have .project file inside
    of it?
    1) if (Yes)
you dont need to create new project
open Eclipse click file -> Import ...
in a dialog open Plus sign next to general and select
"Existing projects into workspace". click next
next window you need to browse to directory where you have
unzipped your project (make sure you select directory that has
.project file inside ) after clicking ok in browser dialog eclipse
should recognize it as project and lastly you will see eclipse
displays that as a project you can select , so select it and click
finish , thats it all should be done.
    2) if your zipped project does not have .project file :
before doing anything you need to analyze the directory
structure, does it have WEB-INF in it does it have src etc , if you
can at least shortly outline that directory structure it would be
lot easier to tell you how to get it working.
it look slike that you are trying to create non basic flex
    project?

  • Pulling Data from an imported web service into a data grid - Flex 3.0

    Hi all,
I have created a web service from Oracle using JDeveloper and imported it into my Fex 3 project, and I am trying to populate a data grid with the data from the web service.  I was trying to emulate the example found in my Adobe Flex 3.0 for Dummies book (see http://dougmccune.com/flexfordummies/chapter14/srcview/index.html), and while the code from the book with that data service works fine, I can't get my application to work.  My issue is with the part of code mx:DataGrid dataProvider="(service)"  - I do not know how to specify what to use for the data source to populate the data grid from my imported web service.  Any suggestions or examples would be helpful, as I am a newcomer to Adobe Flex.  My code is as follows:

You will have to download the maven integration extensions. Set the correct proxy from Tools->Preferences->Web Browser & Proxy and then Visit Help->Check for updates. You will find two maven extensions to download.

  • Importing LiveType project into Final Cut Express HD 3.5

I lost on how to import the livetype project into fce HD 3.5. When I do import it, i get ready to superimpose it over a scene in my movie, and a note comes up and says (insuffciant......something) what am i doing wrong?

I'm assuming you are able to import the LT project into the FCE project and can see it listed in your FCE browser.
Trying simply dragging the file directly from the browser to an empty video track (should be a top/upper level track..not track 1)in the sequence's timeline and place at the point/time/place you want it to appear in the sequence.
You don't have to use the Canvas insert or overlay commands to get the LT project into the timeline.
