In creating 133 tables at a time ,SAP BO takes 1:45 Hours

Dear,
         All,
                In creating 133 tables at a time ,SAP BO takes 1:45 Hours.
                It becomes a big problem for us .Please give suggestion for creating   all  tables in less time.
<b>SAPBO partner member</b>

Hi Vivek,
I don't know how you will be able to make it faster. The only way you can do that is to make sure your memory management is done properly. Make sure you release all objects before using it again so that your memory is always optimal.
I suggest you post a snippet of your code so we can see where you can improve.
How many fields are there in each of these tables on average?
Adele
PS: 133 tables are a lot of tables! If you work it out it's about 48 seconds per table which is not really slow, depending on the number of fields you have in there...

  • Create ADF Table at runtime

    Hi,
    I am trying to create ADF table at run time. Initially I tried to include all the tables at design time. Then I turned the setVisible property to false. Then , based on the condition, I turned it to true at runTime, so that to give the effect of the table getting created at run time.
    But now, I would like to know , is there any option to extract the table component from the ViewObject or from the iterator, at run time.
    say,
    I have my ViewObject like this.
    DCIteratorBinding dcIter=(DCIteratorBinding)bindings.getControlBinding("Table1View1Iterator");
    ViewObject vo=dcIter.getViewObject();
    Now, I have a panel, 'pb1'. I am able to add input boxes at run time. Now I want to add the table that corresponds to the above View also at run time.
    Could someone pls give me the suggestion..
    Thanks,

    well, in that case you can create table dynamically from managed bean. I am giving you a sample code which add row dynamically to a table on click of "Add" button.
    jspx code:
    <af:document id="d1" title="XXXX">
          <af:form id="f1">
            <af:commandButton text="Add" id="cb1" action="#{MyBean.add}"/>
            <af:table varStatus="rowStat" summary="table"
                      value="#{MyBean.collectionModel}"
                      rows="#{MyBean.collectionModel.rowCount}"
                      rowSelection="none" contentDelivery="immediate" var="row"
                      rendered="true" id="t1">

  • Create Temporary Tables

    Hi, there.
    Can anybody tell me what's the syntax for the SQL statements to create temporary tables?
    I'm developing a shopping cart, and at the end of every purchase (checkout) I want to organize the items of the Session Bean Hash Table that contains them, and group them by category, brand, price and show the serial number of each item. I was thinking to do SQL-style operations like GROUP BY on the Hash Table itself, but I am having a hard time with it, so that's why I thought that filling a temporary database table with the Hash Table data could be the solution to the problem of grouping and ordering the items contained in the Shopping cart Bean.
    I saw the following code in this same forum:
    stmt = con.createStatement();
    stmt.executeUpdate("create table temp (slno integer, first_name varchar(32), middle_name varchar(1), last_name varchar(32))");
    But I don't understand how the temporary table has a fixed name, isn't that going to create conflict with another user that creates a temporary table with the same name but in a different session?
    I hope my approach makes sense. If so, what's the SQL syntax to create temporary-session-like tables so I can include it in my JDBC code?
    Thank you in advance for any information or alternative suggestion.

    But I don't understand how the temporary table has a
    fixed name, isn't that going to create conflict with
    another user that creates a temporary table with the
    same name but in a different session?Yes, it is. That's one reason why people try to avoid creating temporary tables, I suppose. There are other reasons.
    I hope my approach makes sense. If so, what's the SQL
    syntax to create temporary-session-like tables so I
    can include it in my JDBC code?You already know the syntax for creating a table. Your only problem is finding a unique name for the table, one that no other user will use. You could have a one-row one-column table with a number in it, which you read and increment, then use that number for your table name, for example. Unless your database happens to have this as a feature -- you would have to read its documentation to find that out.
    However as I implied before, you should try to avoid creating temporary tables. Creating a table is a time-consuming operation, and if your program ends abnormally without dropping the temporary table, your database slowly fills up with useless tables.

  • After installing Lion my time machine using a Time capsule backups take a very long time, particularly indexing the back up, does any one know why and a fix?

    I have installed Lion over Snow Leopard and noticed a marked increase in the time it takes my time capsule/time machine to back up.  It seems to spend a very long time indexing the back up.  Does any one know why and more importantly is there a "fix"?

    The first index with Lion takes a very long time.  Could take over 10 hours.  You just have to wait.  You can see the progress by opening Console and entering backupd in the search box

  • Is there a way to create "temporary" tables in SAP database?

    Hello,
    Is there a way to create temporary tables in ABAP?
    Here is our scenario:
    1. Invoke a custom RFC that creates a temporary table and returns the name of the table.
    2. Invoke another custom RFC and pass this table name as parameter. This RFC internally does some INNER JOIN with the temporary table.
    3. Invoke the third RFC to delete the temporary table.
    Note that the name of the table cannot be static. We have many users using our application simultaneously and connecting to the SAP server.
    I would appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction.
    Thank you in advance for your help.

    I just ran into a similar issue.  While only calling the select statement 2 times, each time had so many entries in the 'for all entries' list, that the compiler converted this into about 700 calls to the select.  Now since the select joined three real tables on the database, the trace shows this one select as being the slowest item in this application.
    I think that happened because 'for all entries' gets converted to an 'IN' clause, and then the total number of characters in any SQL statement has an upper limit.   So the compiler must make the select statement over and over until it covers all entries in the 'for all entries' list.  Is that correct?
    Since every database I ever saw has the concept of db temporary tables, I have used db temp tables many times for this sort of thing.
    The ABAP compiler could determine that more than one IN statement will be need, then use an alternate: write all the FOR ALL ENTRIES to a db temp table, then join on the db temp table, then drop db temp table.  Since the compiler does this sort of thing, no application code needs change to get the speed boost.

  • Create a table and upload data in MS ACCESS from SAP ABAP programming?

    Hi All,
    How to create a table in MS ACCESS database and Upload SAP database table data into MS ACCESS table using ABAP programming?
    Explain: My client requirement is " If he/she runs a ABAP Program, that will create a table and upload data into MS ACCESS Database table in background. "
    Could you please give the solution or code? I know the program RIACCESS and I went through the SAP Note 583698.
    Is this only solution for this?  Or Any other possibilities?
    Please give me solution.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    It is not possible to create tables in a non SAP schema from inside SAP.
    The SAP-Oracle license also does not allow you to create the table (see note 581312):
    the following actions, among other things, are therefore forbidden at database level:
    Creating database users
    Creating database segments
    Querying/changing/creating data in the database
    Using ODBC or other SAP external access methods
    Please refer following link,
    [Ckick Here|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_erq/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes.do]
    You can also do it by LSMW,
    If you are using Access 97, you can download directly into an access
    database from SAP. See program RIACCESS for details. You have to establish
    an RFC destination PS_ACCESS_1 and 2.
    There are then a couple of function modules. Go to SE37 and put in
    msaccess and hit PF4.
    The following is from the readme file: sapgui/ps/readme.sap
    For the MS-Access interface SAP delivers 4 files:
    WDPSASTR.EXE This is an RFC server program that is called by SAP R/3
    (PS module). This program creates a MS Access database. The structure
    information of the tables is transferred from R/3. In addition to
    these tables a table named DDIC is created. This table contains the
    structure information and should in no case be modified or deleted.
    WDPSATAB.EXE This is an RFC server program that is called by SAP R/3
    after WDPSASTR. This program filles the tables of the database with data.
    There must not be made any changes of the structure of
    the tables between the calls of WDPSASTR and WDPSATAB.
    WDPSAZET.EXE This is an RFC client program that triggers work/time
    confirmations in the PS module of SAP R/3 (like transaction CN27 Collectiv
    confirm).
    WDPSAMAT.EXE This is an RFC client program that triggers material
    confirmations in the PS module of SAP R/3 (like transaction MB1A - Goods
    Please also refer following links,
    [Click here|Upload data from MS Access tables, to SAP tables.;
    Before using the program "RIACCESS", you need to install the PS utilities, which are part of SAPGUI install CD.
    It is available in the "SAPGUIPS directory".
    Then do the followings :
    1. Select transaction code SALE -> Systems in network-> Define RFC Destination.
    2. You will need two RFC destinations (TCP/IP connections for the front-end workstation).
    Setup the two RFC destinations PS_ACCESS_1 and PS_ACCESS_2 and you'll have to get them to point to
    wdpsastr.exe and wdpsatab.exe respectively.
    3. Then execute RIACCESS and choose PS_ACCESS_1 to generate access tables.
    The system must also be able to access the RFC-DLL files (librfc2.dll, librfc3.dll, librfc4.dll, librfc5.dll, librfc6.dll, vrfc.dll).
    Please note that Access only supports tables with up to 255 fields.

  • Creating SQL-Loader script for more than one table at a time

    Hi,
    I am using OMWB 2.0.2.0.0 with Oracle 8.1.7 and Sybase 11.9.
    It looks like I can create SQL-Loader scripts for all the tables
    or for one table at a time. If I want to create SQL-Loader
    scripts for 5-6 tables, I have to either create script for all
    the tables and then delete the unwanted tables or create the
    scripts for one table at a time and then merge them.
    Is there a simple way to create migration scripts for more than
    one but not all tables at a time?
    Thanks,
    Prashant Rane

    No there is no multi-select for creating SQL-Loader scripts.
    You can either create them separately or create them all and
    then discard the one you do not need.

  • I have created a table on pages.  Somehow I have set something so a blue dot appears every time I press he space bar.  How did I do it? and how do I get rid of it?

    two questions-- I have created a table on pages.  Somehow every time I press the space bar, I get a blue dot between words--How did I do it? and How do I get rid of it.  Also, I created a template on pages--How do I "save as" for a new file using that template?

    All you are seeing is the word space (from the spacebar).
    Menu > View > Hide Invisibles you had Show Invisibles on.
    When you are using a template it should be named "Untitled" and it will ask you to save when you go to close or you simply go to Save under the File menu.

  • Creating a key for a Time table in HMM format

    Hello,
    I am looking to create an INT column in SQL that inserts all hours and minutes within a day (that is, 1440 entries), in the following format:
    HMM
    Where:
    H is the 24 hours format, without that leading zero, and MM are the minuts with the leading zero. For example:
    0 is equivalent to 00:00
    1 is equivalent to 00:01
    2 is equivalent to 00:02
    15 is equivalent to 00:15
    59 is equivalent to 00:59
    105 is equivalent to 01:05
    130 is equivalent to 01:30
    920 is equivalent to 09:20
    1130 is equivalent to 11:30
    1300 is equivalent to 13:00
    2010 is equivalent to 20:10
    2359 is equivalent to 23:59
    Since I am still a little grasshoper on the path of SQL Kung-Fu, I am having a little hard time coming with up with a SLQ syntax to achieve that. Could someone please advise?
    Regards,
    P.

    130 is just an example, which i took from HuaMin's
    response
    If I understood your issue, you have values in integer like 130 is 01:30 and you want to get the time '01:30' from the integer. This what what we all answer above. I just follow the other people understanding and post another solution.
    It will be much easier if you post DDL+DML+result that you want to get instead of stories :-)
    DDL: query to create the table
    DML: queries to insert some sample data
    Result: according the DDL+DML
    * since you did not posted DDL+DML, I demonstrate the solution using single value (using the variable @n which represent the value that come from the table)
    ** Please post post DDL+DML+result that you want

  • Create Table taking long time (more than 60 minutes) and still running

    Hi all,
    I was able to create and drop table until yesterday, but now the when I issue the below statement the server is stuck, its showing creating table in process.... and then it hangs till you cancel the operation. Query of table and running the procedures are ok, so I am confused why only create table is having issues.
    CREATE TABLE table1
    ( field1 VARCHAR2(20) );
    Any help at the earliest will be appreciated,
    Thanks

    Just check up your status of the log files
    select * from v$logfile
    If the status is inactive,
    Just do a
    alter system switch logfile
    The alert log should have the problem specified check for the file.
    also try to recreate another user and take a try in table creation:

  • How to create transaction table in R/3

    Hi Gurus,
                  I have created master data table in R/3 with zempid as a primary key. I need to create transaction table for employee and visitor. how can i relate 2 transaction table with employee master table while creating tables in R/3 SE11.
    Notes: both employee and visitor transaction table has zempid.
    please let me know how to create table with relations.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Bharath

    Hi,
    In a normal database (say Oracle), this referential integrity is taken care of by PK-FK (primary key - foreign key) relationships. As far as OLTP - SAP R/3 is concerned, these are exisitng for the tables defined by SAP.
    Speaking about BW:
    1. You will bring master data from R/3--> BW first (its always a good practice), which should mean that empid 1000 - 1007 will flow to BW. Also your OLTP system ensures that there can be no transaction data (due to PK-FK relationships), for any emp. id other than 1000-1007.
    2. There could be another case that when the master data has been transferred to BW, due to time lag, in between master data and transaction data are created in R/3... meaning thereby that R/3 now has both master data about say emp.Id 1008 and transaction data as well.
    3. Now the transaction data is extracted from R/3, which will bring the transaction data for 1008, eventhough the master data for 1008 (loaded in step 1) has not come down to BW.
    4. Such situation can be controlled in BW, there are options wherein you can control this. the options are:
      - Load data even if there is no master data (this will create master data record with key values and nulls in other attributes) - record for 1008 will get loaded in such cases.
    - Do not Load data when there is no master data - The record with 1008 emp. id will not be loaded in such a case.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Sumit
