in Forms Central/View Responses/Save as PDF, is it possible to exclude some form fields from the saved file?

Hi,
I would like to inform you that with forms central, you can convert the selected fields to PDF.
However, your selection should be sequential. Example- You can convert column 1,2,3,4 and not select column 5; but it is not possible to select only column 2 and 3.

  • ADOBE Forms Central - add and remove rows (PDF Form)

    Hello, I am currently evaluating ‘ADOBE Forms Central' to set up a form with editable fields. I have set up a test form in ADOBE Forms Central and was unable to insert an option to add and remove rows similar to the print screen attached. Is this possible to do using ADOBE Forms Central or should I be using
    a different ADOBE application? Thank you, Liz

    A dynamic XFA PDF form can do this. You can create such forms with LiveCycle Designer, which was included with the Windows version of Acrobat Pro prior to version 11. It is now a separate product.
    XFA forms can't be used with FormsCentral, however, only Acroforms can.

    It's possible to get a unsecure document when using form server 5?

    You will need to upgrade. Form Server 5 is not compatible with Designer 6 or 7 form templates.

  • How to save to PDF form View Responses tab without including blank fields?

    Is there a way to save in PDF form from View Responses withouth including blank fields? More specifically, my form has several fields that have action (Show/hide) depending on the values. Once form is submitted and I am reviewing it from View Response tab, I use "save as PDF" button to save/download my completed form, however when I open it, it shows blank fields as well. Is there a way to somehow specify not to include blanks. If there is no way it would be a nice feature to have. Please let me know.

    No, the PDF is always going to show all fields, the "Show/Hide" does not affect the PDF we generate.
    I will soon post a Form for users to submit feature requests, keep your eyes out for an announcement in the forums for it and you can submit this request.
    Thanks,
    Josh

    I created a pdf form and then imported it to Forms Central for distribute. It is now loaded to my website and setup so a person clicks on the link to open the form. At this point they then have to go to upper right to open form using a different view. I would like the form to open directly in Adobe Reader form to make it easier to enter information. Thanks, Ike

    If you created it in Forms Central, you have to edit it there. I believe Forms Central is similar to LiveCycle Designer in that the form created is no longer able to be edited in Acrobat. I might be wrong, but that is my understanding. You add the submit button in Forms Central. Within Acrobat, you should be able to go to the forms menu and Manage Data to save the data to an Excel file. Others better with forms should be by to clarify things, but this should get you started. In the future you might find it better to post a forms question in the forms discussions.

  • View responses - any way to print or view as form?

    Hi - am new to forms central
    Previous posted links to .pdf forms at acrobat.com. There is was possible to print individual reponses as a .pdf
    Is there a was to format the reponses as a form - I have printed the 'Show Detail' view but it doesnt seem to include the form name - we have a number of forms and doesn't seem formatable.
    Is there any way to get the reponses in a way that makes it easy to print them out for actioning.
    Thanks

    We now support saving a response from the View Responses tab to PDF (that retains the form design shown on the Design tab). The PDF can be shared, archived or printed using Adobe Reader.
    You can read more about it here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1085672
    Please try it out and give us your feedback.

  • Problems importing PDF file to Forms Central

    I am trying to import a PDF file to Form Central, last week the file imported fine, we had to make some corections, and now when I try to import the file I get this response
    FormsCentral could not import the PDF form because it has more than 500 form fields.
    can someone enlighten me on this,  I did not add any more fields, I just adjusted the tabs and labeled the form fields.
    Thanks New

    Thanks Josh...that's what I ended-up having to do. The problem is this will now produce two separate responses. I now have to devise a way to track/connect submissions from part A & part B (i.e, by adding a reference ID to both forms), otherwise we wouldn't know which data applies to which responses - considering the applications will now be submitted at different times vs as a whole. Just another setback with Form Central.
    The other issue is with Form Central reordering certain fields in the Response table.  My field names and tab order set in Acrobat are 100% in sequence - in terms of the names in the tab order panel matching the actual placement of the fields on the page. When I upload/import the PDF to Form Central, certain fields are placed out of order and I have to scroll through "miles" of headers just to find the misplaced field to manually reorder it.  Is there any progress in having this issue resolved in Form Central? I have no idea what Form Central is reading when it imports the PDF, because it doesn't appear to looking at the form structure in terms of the tab order.
    Also, will the 500 field max ever get increased?
    i think Form Central offers a good solution for being able to submit data but these quirks are casting a shadow on the brand.

  • Save & Send PDF Form

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to program a function in my PDF form that will automaticly save the PDF form in a folder and then sends the (just saved) PDF form attached in an e-mail.
    I've got the mail function working with my submit button. The only question is how can i get my PDF form to first save and then send the form?
    I've treid several saving scripts but couldn't get it working.
    Could you guys help me out?
    Kind Regards,
    Vincent
    Below my code:
    // Set up the recipients,subject, body, etc.
    var sTo = this.getField("Unit").value;
    var sBCC = "[email protected]";
    var sSubject = "Nice subject";
    var sBody = "Bla bla bla";
    // Set the error messge to display if it doesn't work, \r = carriage return
    var sErrorMsg = "Could not send email. Please make sure your email client is set up correctly.\r\r";
    sErrorMsg += "Otherwise, save this file and manually attach it to an email to: " + sTo +" [email protected]";
    // Email the entire document
    try {
        mailDoc({
        bUI: true,
        cTo: sTo,
        cBcc: sBCC,
        cSubject: sSubject,
        cMsg: sBody
    } catch(e) {
        app.alert(sErrorMsg, 1);

    To save with a script, you'll have to use the doc.saveAs method. There are a number of security related issues you'll have to deal with, as discussed here: http://acrobatusers.com/tutorials/how-save-pdf-acrobat-javascript

    Adobe also has Acrobat.com and there is DropBox.com. Adobe has also announced Adobe Document Cloud.
    Forms central provide a subscription service for users with Reader to create simple forms. Apparently this did not meet a majority of users and with the minimal price difference for Acrobat and free web storage the users were better served without it. I expect cloud services will continue to emerge until providers better and more fully understand the user requirements.

  • Bates Numbering in Forms Central

    I am trying to create forms in Forms Central, but need the ability to have a sequential counter in each form so that every entry will have a specific identifier.  Anyone know how to accomplish this?

    Hi,
    This is not something we currently support but you can add or vote on feature ideas:
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/formscentral?view=idea
    If you need to add a new idea, please go to http://forums.adobe.com/community/formscentral and click on "Submit Feature Request" link under Resources section.
    Not sure if a "time stamp" of a response will help you, but you could check it out, after you collected responses, in View Responses tab, the first column in the table is the "Time Submitted".
    Thanks,
    Lucia

  • Requiring me to be a subscriber to Save as PDF?

    We purchased the Adobe Forms Central software around a year ago.  I was able to create forms and also save them as PDFs, print them, et cetera. A couple weeks ago I created a new form and it would not let me Save as PDF. I opened the program again today and it wiped out all my created forms. Disappointed but too busy to dwell on it, I created a new form and tried to Save as PDF. I receive a message window that says I must be a paid subscriber to Save as PDF. Since when? I've been doing this ever since we purchased the program and now it's demanding I be a paid subscriber? It won't let me save, print, or anything but create. Then it says to do anything more, I must pay. ????

    You bought Adobe FormsCentral a year ago? Is it possible that your need to renew your subscription? Maybe your credit card changed and the auto-renewal didn't go through. You can only save as PDF with a Paid account. In FormsCentral you can access "My Subscription" (under the profile button in the top right corner). This will bring you here : https://www.adobe.com/account/my-products-services.html. Can you see FormsCentral there?
    You can also create PDF for free if you have Adobe Acrobat XI Pro which comes with FormsCentral For Acrobat. Just want to make sure that you mean that you bought "FormsCentral" and not "Acrobat Pro XI".

  • "View Responses" can I see who has responded?

    Is there any way in the "View Responses" tab to see who it is that submitted the form?
    Like their email where they received the link?

    Not directly. The FormsCentral service doesn't know who you sent the form to. To get this information you would need to add an email address field to your form so users could provide their email address to you.

  • Printing an html msg to pdf crashes the driver but I can save to pdf from Abat

    I have a user on a windows 7 64bit with Acrobat 9. He's got a message that we've saved to an xps. It opens fine in outlook and in xps viewer. When I try to print it in either one it crashes the acrobat printer driver. But I can open the xps in Acrobat and save to pdf just fine. Huh?

    Some useful reference material.
    At http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html
    Acrobat 10.1 adds PDFMaker support for these Office 2010 64-bit applications: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
    Acrobat 9 and earlier users can create Adobe PDF files using the Adobe PDF printer.
    For more information, see PDFMaker unavailable in 64-bit Office 2010.

    n.b., Acrobat 9 just went to 9.5.2

  • Reimport form or remove submit feature from pdf

    I have a form that has nearly 1000 fields that I saved over the original pdf so when I went to edit it I only have the form version that was created with Forms Central. Are you telling me that I can't reimport this form into Forms Central? I have to recreate this form with over 1,000 fields that took about 8 hours to complete??!!

    Did you design the form in FormsCentral or did you import the original PDF into FormsCentral.
    Unfortunately right now you can't import a FormsCentral PDF in FormsCentral (but this will change very soon).
    With the new feature coming soon you will be able to import FormsCentral PDF. If the form was designed in FormsCentral you won't be able to modify it in FormsCentral after the import as it will behave like any other PDF import (where you can only decide where to put the submit button).
    In the mean time you can try these steps (if you have Acrobat) to fix your issue

  • Retrieving deleted forms from Forms Central

    Can I retrieve a web form that was deleted from Forms Central?

    Unfortunately no, there is no way to retrieve a deleted form.  The UI asks you to confirm that you wish to delete the form and once it has been deleted it is gone.
    There are a few methods to back up a form such as "Export Design File" from the File menu (you could also export the responses so you have the whole package), and "Duplicate" so you can create a backup.  I know that these are proactive steps and don't help once you've already deleted your form.
    Thanks,
    Josh
