In Table ctrl, based on i/p given in first col, populate data in other cols

Hi All,
Please help me in achieving the following requirement.
In a table control, if a value is entered in the first column, all the remaining columns should be filled automatically with relevant data based on the input in the first column.
The table control is built using the wizard with the option 'from internal table from the program'.

Hi Kalyani,
You can achieve the following requirement but you have to trigger a user action like ( Pressing Enter, Checking or Unchecking a Checkbox) which will again trigger the PAI Event and which will load the same. So, you can repopulate the table control with the new data according to your logic and hence can again display it.
Hope you got my point. Have a look at the demo programs which will tell you about the flow of control and which you can use to control the data. But you need an User event to achieve your requirement.

How to create internal table dynamically based on a table entry

hi Experts,
I have table yprod_cat. It has product categories.
In my ABAP program I need to create internal table dynamically based on the number of entries in the table.
For example:
If the table has 3 entries for product category
1. Board
2. Micro
3. Syst
Then create three (3) internal tables.
i_board
i_micro
i_syst
How can we do this? Any sample code will be very usefull

Our APEX version is 4.2We are using below SQL query to display radio groups dynamically..

Created a form using SQL type and given abouve SQL query as source.. But when we run the page, there were no radio groups displayed in the page..

Table ctrl

Hi all,
I have a problem while displaying table ctrl.
i have a transaction where the input for the table ctrl is given(subscreen a)
i see the output in a table ctrl (subscreen b).
If i execute the transaction for the first time with a n entry which has 3 records in the dbase table it is shown correctly. I have a option in subscreen b to go back to subscreen a , now if i make another entry removing the first one which has 15 records in dbase table only 3 of them are shown in the table ctrl of subscreen b.
if i make an entry which has 15 records in dbase table after restarting the transaction i can see all the 15 records in table ctrl of subscreen b. if i nce again go back and overwrite the entry which has 3 entries in the dbase table i can see all the 3 entries and also scroll bar to drag down upto 15 entries.
the code is
LOOP AT IT_COMPCTRL WITH CONTROL COMPCTRL
                 CURSOR COMPCTRL-CURRENT_LINE.

i have a situtaion where i need to populate the table ctrl in a subscreen.
if i execute the transaction for the first time with an entry for whoch 3 rec are fetched from dbase, they were populated correctly in tabctrl, if i go back and enter another value for which it fetches 15 rec from the dbase, unfortunately only 3 of them are shown in tab ctrl.
if i once again restart the transaction with an entry that has 15 rec in dbase, they were displayed correctly in tabctrl, if i go back and overwrite the entry with another entry that has only 3 recs in dbase , 3 recs are shown but with a scroll bar that can be dragged up to 15 rows in tabctrl.
code is simple
loop at itab with control tabctrl
                            cursor tabctrl- current_line.

in the above code itab is filled with correct records for their respective entries in the selscreen. but it is not looped for all the records in the tabctrl tab(itab).
case 1: entry 1 : recs->3 tabctrl disp-> 3 itab has 3 records
             entry 2 : recs->15 tabctrl disp->3 itab has 15 recs
case 2: entry 1: recs->15 tabctrl disp ->15 itab has 15 recs
            entry 2: recs-> 3 tabctrl disp -> 3 itab has 3 recs
            but we can see scroll bar that can be dragged upto   15 lines.
in both cases sy-loopc is 14.

Creation of internal table dynamically based on the Date Range entered

I have been facing one issue i.e creation of internal table dynamically based on the date range entered in the selection screen. For example the date range I am giving as 06/2006 to 08/2006, it should display the Fieldcatelog dynamically, this part i have completed but the only issue I am facing is to populate the sales data into that fields.
Right now my program is displaying the ALV like this.
Ex:

DYNAMIC INTERNAL TABLE CREATION BASED ON THE CONTENT OF ANOTHER INTERNAL TA

Hi All
I need to create an internal table at runtime.
I have a selection screen parameter which is specific to country, Which can take values below
eg:- IT_AREA for Italy(IT)
FR_AREA for France(FR)
IE_AREA for Ireland(IE).....And similary for other countries
Based on the Above parameter, I need to create Internal Table as below
DATA: itab TYPE italy_data Occurs 0.
If I declare as above, Then itab has fields from italy_data. And this internal table i will be sending it to Function Module to get data into it.
My Requirement is to Create the Internal table itab during runtime for tables italy_data OR france_data OR ireland_data based on selection screen parameter. Tables on Country may have different number of fields in it.
Can anyone help me on this??

How to find rows in F table of a cube for a given request ID

Can someone tell me how to find the rows in the F table of a cube for a given request id?

Copy the Request ID number of that cube and go to manage of the cube and select contents tab, select Infocube content,
select list of objects to be displayed with results and in that screen give Request ID at Request ID row and at bottom Max no. of Hits keep blank and execute at the top.
this will display all the data rows loaded with that request. this is records from cube.
from Fact table, go to SE11, give /BIC/FXXXX "XXXX" is cube name for custom cube.
get the SID of that cube from the Cube contents as mentioned above, for field select for output along with Request ID select Request SID also.
from SE11 give table /BIC/DXXXXXP "XXXX" is cube name for custom cube. P for Packet Dimension. here pass reqest SID in 'SID_0REQUID' and get value for DIMID.
pass this DIMID into KEY_XXXXP, this give the fact table rows for that request DIM ID.

Populate a table field based on another field in the same table

Hi,
I have a table with fields collection profile and collection prfile text. When maintaining this table, the collection profile name should appear automatically ( from table UDM_COLL_GRPT) based on the collection profile entered.. In UDM_COLL_GRPT, collection profilr name is not a primary key. Please let me know how to do this.

I am trying to remove the selected rows from the table with RowSelection property set to Multiple. I am able to select the rows using by holding key board Ctrl key and click on the rows. The following code in backing bean successfully deletes the rows selected using this step.

Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: ADFv: Could not find row: USA 548 with key: oracle.jbo.Key[] inside parent: GeoSpecTVOIterator with key: null.
Here USA 548 is my first row's data. Please let me know if you want complete error stack.
During design time, While drag and drop the table i have not selected Row Selection check box as it sets property for single row selection. Table is inside the <af:panelCollection> . Here is the table source.

Custom table column based on value scale

I want to custom table column based on the vaules.
I understood I need to to /1000000 in the column definition and custom ###,###,###M.
But sometimes it can be Kilos and sometimes Billions.
I don't want to display 0.02M or 200000M.
How can I define conditional custom according to the current value?

Your setting the table value that time you will get the Country Code.
1.Create the attribute like Country_Column_Visible Data Type bind the com.sap.ide.webdynpro.uielementdefinitions.Visibility this value you need to bind the table country column.
2.In Table You need to check the country code Japan is available you need follow this below sample code.

Update columns in Table A based on columns in Table B for more than 500K rows

Guys,
I need to update 9 columns in table A based on value from table B for for more than 500K rows.
So what is best way to achieve this. I am thinking of writing a Procedure with cursor to update the rows of table A.
When i googled about it, they say cursor will decrease the performance. So i have no clue how to go for this.
Rough code which i though
1) Procedure with no parameter
2) Will declare 9 variable to store value from cursor
3) cursor will fetch row by row based on join condition between table a and table b
4) i will pass column values from table B to variables
5) will make an update statement for table A
Please let me know if above method is correct or is there any other way to do this without using cursor.

Below is the rough code i wrote as per my requirement. Does it look correct? As of now i dont have any platform to test it so any help with the below code is highly appreciated. As i said i need to update more than 500K rows by matching Table
A and Table B. One more thing which i would like to add in below code, is to get log of all the rows that are in table B but not exist in table A. Table A already has more than million data in it.
