Include file conflict? mbstate_t

I've just installed Workshop C++ 5.0 on Solaris 8 and had also perviously installed Sun's CD of GNU tools. When compliling a simple program I get the following error:
CC -o primes primes.cc
"/usr/include/iso/wchar_iso.h", line 100: Error: Multiple declaration for mbstate_t.
"/opt/SUNWspro/SC5.0/include/CC/./iosfwd", line 51: Error: The name mbstate_t is ambiguous, std::mbstate_t and std::mbstate_t.
"/opt/SUNWspro/SC5.0/include/CC/./iosfwd", line 78: Error: The name mbstate_t is ambiguous, std::mbstate_t and std::mbstate_t.
"/opt/SUNWspro/SC5.0/include/CC/rw/iotraits", line 56: Error: The name mbstate_t is ambiguous, std::mbstate_t and std::mbstate_t.
4 Error(s) detected.
Note that my program only includes <iostream>, and then uses std.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Jonathan

The mbstate_t structure is defined in iotraits. There is a conditional compile around this definition, perhaps the conditional value has been changed somwhere in the include hierarchy magic. I suggest you put a #error line in the appropriate places to see which version of the definition is being used. Also you check which version of the compiler you have, there are a number of patches that were specific to the standard library. I downloaded the most recent patch and it fixed a strange problem I was having with iostreams.

  • How to change the filename in @include file?

    I want to do a checking before deciding to include which file,
    for example,
    <%
    if(isValid){
    %>
    <%@ include file="abc.jsp" %>
    <%
    else{ %>
    <%@ include file="def.jsp" %>
    <% } %>but the code above doesnt work in my JSPs
    any idea how to solve this?
    thanks
    Desmond

    Am i clear?? pls correct me if i am wrong..You are wrong.
    The include directive is being used here, which is a compile time include, not a runtime include. Both includes will be performed before the resulting servlet is compiled.
    If they have a conflict between them (either by not nesting them in their own { scope } or using <%! declarations %>) then the generated servlet will fail to compile.
    So if you had the following:
    abc.jsp:
    Hello from ABC!
    <% String myVar = "ABC"; %>def.jsp:
    Hello from DEF!
    <%  String myVar = "DEF";  %>And the page as mentioned in the original post, you would end up with a Servlet something like this:
    if (isValid){
       out.println("Hello from ABC!");
        String myVar = "ABC";
    else{
       out.println("Hello from DEF!");
      String myVar = "DEF";
    }This example would compile because of the presence of the braces.
    However removing the braces or using a <%! declaration %> would probably screw things up with a compile error.
    The %Include directive is like a copy/paste into a JSP before you compile it.
    The <jsp:include> is evaluated at runtime and copies in the result of executing the page.
    The difference is quite subtle, but very important.

  • INCLUDE File Concept Questions

    Hello All!
    I am extremely new to ABAP development; most of my experience is in Windows Programming.
    While building a Local Class Hierarchy in an INCLUDE file, I ran into a few "quirks". Hopefully, answers to these questions will help me understand the inter-op between REPORT files and INCLUDE Files much better as well.
    **NOTE** I have searched through SAP Library, this forum (admittedly, I may have missed older threads) and Googled each topic for each of these issues and not found information that satisfactorily answered my questions. I'm hoping the experts here may shed some light on my questions.
    My questions are in regard to the linking between a REPORT and an INCLUDE file. When I created the INCLUDE file, I started a new instance of SE38 and went through the option dialogs to establish the file as an INCLUDE. Then, UML in hand, I started coding. Since I am new to ABAP, I run Syntax checks regularly (Finally getting used to those periods!!!). Not suprisingly, I couldn't run a Syntax check on the include. I decided to start another instance of SE38 and open the REPORT file this INCLUDE is being built for (initially). I added the INCLUDE statement and ran a Syntax Check, Success! Ever since that point however, the quirks have been appearing.
    For instance, I would like to define Text Elements local to the include file; however, when I bring up the Text Elements Screen (from the INCLUDE file), the Text Elements from the REPORT are loaded in. Is it possible to define Text Elements Local to an INCLUDE file? If not, are INCLUDE files really intended to be used by multiple REPORTs? It would seem not since it looks to be tightly coupled to the REPORT I have it included in; # this could lead to naming conflicts with Text Elements as well #.
    I think I may have thought of a reason for the other quirk, but would like to run it by you all to see if I am on the mark. When I have the INCLUDE file open and attempt to activate it, if a syntax error is in the active version of the report due to the include file (i.e. Tables declared more then once), it will warn me before activating. I believe this is due to the fact that SAP will try make sure existing applications will not be harmed by changes to an include file. If this is true, then INCLUDE files must be fairly closely coupled with each REPORT they are included in. Is this correct?
    Thank you for your time and consideration.
    I look forward to the day I know enough to begin helping each of you as well.

    Hi
    U should considere the INCLUDE is just like a box can be inserted in a program (REPORT), the include can't exist without a report (the main program).
    The include can be used to arrange the program: several thounsends of abap code lines can be in a program, if you split them in several includes, it'll be easier to read and manage the program.
    It can group components of the same type (for example the data declaration, the routine definitions,....) into the same include, in this way it'll be easier to manage the program for the maintenaces in the future.
    An include can be used by different programs, so if u need to use certain definations for many program, u can insert them in a include once and then call the include in all program u need: in this way if you update that include you'll update all program using that include.
    So you'll need to insert the corrections in the include just once instead of to repeate it for every program.
    Anyway all text elements used in include belongs to main program, not to the include, so u need to define it again for every program.

  • [Solved] ABS built kernel package file conflicts

    Index» Kernel & Hardware
    Hello-
    I am starting a new thread since my previous post was to an ancient thread (sorry, I hadn't noted the date).
    I built a custom kernel using ABS, attempting to follow https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Cu … n_with_ABS notes
    However the notes regarding _kernelname and pkgname don't seem to match up with the formatting or idea of the PKGBUILD file provided by abs.
    Instead of following the wiki, i followed the instruction provided by the PKGBUILD by commenting out the default line and uncommenting/modifying the second line.
    #pkgbase=linux # Build stock -ARCH kernel
    pkgbase=linux-iwlwifidebug # Build kernel with a different name
    The result was a package with conflicting files:

    Errors occurred, no packages were upgraded.
    In the thread that was closed due to being too old (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=234004), jasonwryan noted:
    "pkgbase is for split packages, you need pkgname:
    _kernelname="-foo"
    pkgname=linux-foo
    pkgver=3.12.1
    pkgrel=1
    _srcname=linux-3.12
    pkgdesc="The ${pkgname} kernel and modules"
    " and you can see that he also changed kernelname.
    Which jives with the doc https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Cu … n_with_ABS, which notes
    Modify pkgname and _kernelname for your custom package name, e.g.:
    _kernelname="-custom" # custom suffix, eg., 3.12.1-1-custom
    pkgname=linux-custom # custom package name, eg., vmlinuz-linux-custom
    Looking at the logic that is provided by jasonwryan and the doc, I need pkgname and _kernelname to be different than default- however these are defined in PKGBUILD as being based on  pkgbase, and it is much cleaner to update the one line that the PKGBUILD maintainer seemed to want us to update.
    _kernelname=${pkgbase#linux}
    pkgname=("${pkgbase}" "${pkgbase}-headers" "${pkgbase}-docs")
    Note that the # symbol strips 'linux' from the front of pkgbase assigns it to _kernelname, while pkgname is a list
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ pkgbase=linux-iwlwifidebug
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ echo $pkgbase
    linux-iwlwifidebug
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ _kernelname=${pkgbase#linux}
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ echo $_kernelname
    -iwlwifidebug
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ pkgname=("${pkgbase}" "${pkgbase}-headers" "${pkgbase}-docs")
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ echo ${pkgname[@]}
    linux-iwlwifidebug linux-iwlwifidebug-headers linux-iwlwifidebug-docs
    So far so good - we have a pkgname and _kernelname which are both non default.
    And to show this, I've created a package by just changing the pkgbase, which shows that it changes both the pkgname and the _kernelname:
    Change of pkgbase:
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ grep pkgbase= PKGBUILD
    #pkgbase=linux # Build stock -ARCH kernel
    pkgbase=linux-iwlwifidebug # Build kernel with a different name
    Package Names Set
    pkgname=("${pkgbase}" "${pkgbase}-headers" "${pkgbase}-docs")
    for _p in ${pkgname[@]}; do
    eval "package_${_p}() {
    _package${_p#${pkgbase}}
    done
    Ouput Package Name
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ ls -l *.xz

    -rw-r--r-- 1 dylan dylan 6620 Nov 26 18:54 patch-3.12.1.xz
    _kernelname sets information in package
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ grep -e provides PKGBUILD | grep _kernelname
    provides=("kernel26${_kernelname}=${pkgver}")
    provides=("kernel26${_kernelname}-headers=${pkgver}")
    provides=("kernel26${_kernelname}-docs=${pkgver}")
    Which can be seen here
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ pacman -Qpi linux-iwlwifidebug-3.12.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz | grep -i provides
    Provides : kernel26-iwlwifidebug=3.12.1
    So, what is going wrong?
    So the root problem comes to the install path of the files, not the pkgname or the _kernelname, as I have shown above I believe.
    What I found is that changing the pkgrel led to a working install, with the files installed into separate directories.
    pkgrel is modified in the Makefile directly
    [dylan@zenbook linux.working]$ grep pkgrel PKGBUILD
    pkgrel=2
    # set extraversion to pkgrel
    sed -ri "s|^(EXTRAVERSION =).*|\1 -${pkgrel}|" Makefile
    This leads to a package that can be installed, because the directory path includes the -2 rather than -1
    Before changing pkgrel, i had this
    [dylan@zenbook linux]$ pacman -Qpl linux-iwlwifidebug-3.12.1-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz | tail -2
    linux-iwlwifidebug /usr/src/linux-3.12.1-1-ARCH/
    linux-iwlwifidebug /usr/src/linux-3.12.1-1-ARCH/vmlinux
    After changing (but keeping default name for package)
    [dylan@zenbook linux.working]$ pacman -Qpl linux-3.12.1-2-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz | tail -2
    linux /usr/src/linux-3.12.1-2-ARCH/
    linux /usr/src/linux-3.12.1-2-ARCH/vmlinux
    Where does the package directory tree get defined?
    The only place pkgrel gets touched is in a re-write of the kernel makefile:
    [dylan@zenbook linux.working]$ grep pkgrel PKGBUILD
    pkgrel=2
    # set extraversion to pkgrel
    sed -ri "s|^(EXTRAVERSION =).*|\1 -${pkgrel}|" Makefile
    Where it gets set, then tied to KERNELVERSION
    [dylan@zenbook linux.working]$ grep EXTRAVERSION src/linux-3.12/Makefile
    EXTRAVERSION = -2
    KERNELVERSION = $(VERSION)$(if $(PATCHLEVEL),.$(PATCHLEVEL)$(if $(SUBLEVEL),.$(SUBLEVEL)))$(EXTRAVERSION)
    Which appears to only be exported for some source tree stuff
    [dylan@zenbook linux.working]$ grep KERNELVERSION src/linux-3.12/Makefile
    KERNELVERSION = $(VERSION)$(if $(PATCHLEVEL),.$(PATCHLEVEL)$(if $(SUBLEVEL),.$(SUBLEVEL)))$(EXTRAVERSION)
    export VERSION PATCHLEVEL SUBLEVEL KERNELRELEASE KERNELVERSION
    echo "$(KERNELVERSION)$$($(CONFIG_SHELL) $(srctree)/scripts/setlocalversion $(srctree))"
    @echo "$(KERNELVERSION)$$($(CONFIG_SHELL) $(srctree)/scripts/setlocalversion $(srctree))"
    @echo $(KERNELVERSION)
    And not at all in pkgbuild
    [dylan@zenbook linux.working]$ grep KERNELVERSION PKGBUILD
    [dylan@zenbook linux.working]$
    What am i missing here?
    Is there a bug that should be changing some headers in the Makefile to create a different directory structure for the packages, by passing in the _kernelname, pkgname, or pkgbase?

  • [IDEA] File Conflicts

    If Pacman when it gets to a file conflict(e.g. when a file already exists), it just stops and tells you what files are conflicting. It would be a cool feature if it would ask you if you want to overwrite the file, or not. For example it might say:
    File already exists: "/usr/bin/bash" Overwrite? [Y/n]
    Just an idea
    Mark

    everyone's gotta have an "improvement" for pacman regarding config files.
    i recently gathered the opinion that this is entirely not pacman's fault, but the contents of the package. a program should never include a default configuration file, but provide an EXAMPLE. that way, you will never overwrite your config.
    optimally, this should be fixed upstream by the software developpers, but that's not likely to happen. if packagers agree with me, it would be possible to rename packaged config files to config.file.example.
    but i'm not counting on that either.

  • X include files? + glX include files?

    So i wanted to build a program that needs the X include files, but then i notice i don't even have a /usr/X11R6/include folder.. Anyone know what package that might be? I already did a full sys upgrade and installed xproto and glproto but apparently.. that wasn't it, i don't even know what that DID install. So.. any help would be much appreciated

    Sorry, my problem wasn't the include files apparently, its a linker error.
    g++ main.cpp -o example -I"../../include" -I"/usr/X11R6/include" -L"/usr/X11R6/lib" -L"/usr/lib" -L"../../lib/Linux" -lIrrlicht -lGL -lGLU -lXxf86vm -lXext -lX11

    collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
    make: *** [all] Error 1
    But here's the weird part, last night i installed the package libgl, and then it worked. The problem was that libgl conflicts with the nvidia package tho n so my X wouldn't start anymore. But now i reinstalled the nvidia package so it doesn't work again, even though the nvidia package has all the library files available in the libgl package.. so yeah, weird. As far as i understand that would have to mean that nvidia's libGL library files don't implement a certain function called glXGetProcAddress() or something but ur guess is as good as mine..

  • Dreamweaver 8 - Include File issue

    Can anyone help.
    I have managed to fix this on previous versions of
    Dreamweaver however its not working on Dreamweaver 8.
    The problem is I'm trying to view Include files (.inc) in
    Design view, but Dreamweaver 8 will only allow me to view this in
    code view.
    The link I used to solve this on previous versions is as
    follows:
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_16410
    The main problem is I cannot find my MMDocumentTypes.xml file
    so I think this could have something to do with it not working.
    Any help would be great

    Why not rename your *.inc files to *.htm(l)?
    > The main problem is I cannot find my MMDocumentTypes.xml

    It's in the -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\
    folder.

  • Code hints don't work - include files using a variable

    In Dreamweaver CS 5.5 code hints didn't work properly.
    DW would not look at my code and find the include files and look at the functions inside them when using a variable to make an absolute path, which is the best way to include files in PHP (its faster and more reliable on your web server)
    Here is an example:
    ======================================
    public_html/util/util_index.php
    $DIR_MAIN            =dirname(dirname(__FILE__).'../');
    require_once "$DIR_MAIN/init.php";
    my_function(#CODE COMPLETE DOES NOT WORK HERE
    public_html/init.php
    $DIR_INCLUDE=               "$DIR_MAIN/inc";
    require "$DIR_INCLUDE/common_functions.php";
    #set up environment variables
    #connect to the database
    #etc
    public_html/inc/common_functions.php
    function my_function(param1, param2, param3) {
    =======================================
    Has this been fixed in Dreamweaver CS6 or should I wait until CS7?
    Until this works, I prefer Notepad++

    I made a full SQL Developer installation with Java included, so I suppose that the included version is used.
    After a problem with the German Version I tried to switch to English Version by using the hint:
    link: 1.5.4 export insert statements
    I changed the content of sqldeveloper.conf and now again the code templates (strg-shift-t) don't work!!!
    (I already rebooted and set the accelerators to default, but it didn't help now.)
    This is the content of my sqldeveloper.conf now:
    "IncludeConfFile ../../ide/bin/ide.conf
    AddVMOption -Dapple.laf.useScreenMenuBar=true
    AddVMOption -Dcom.apple.mrj.application.apple.menu.about.name="SQL_Developer"

  • Jsp taglibs in include files not detected, throws errors, no code insight

    I have a jsp which is included in all the other jsp. it looks something like this
    taglibs.jsp
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" prefix="c" %>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/fmt" prefix="fmt" %>
    <%@ taglib uri="http://www.springframework.org/tags" prefix="spring" %>
    <%@ taglib prefix="form" uri="http://www.springframework.org/tags/form" %>
    test.jsp
    <%@ include file="/jsp/menu/taglibs.jsp"%>
    <html>
         <head>
              <title>Tours</title>
         </head>
         <body>
    <form:form commandName="testCommand">
                   <form:hidden path="tour.firstname" id="tour.firstname" />
    and so on.
    I am having 2 problems
    1. the jsp editor show errors all over the place saying
    element path not expected
    element commandName not expected etc.
    2. no code insights.
    but if i include the taglib def in test.jsp it dosn't show any error and also provides code insights. but seldom do people include all taglibs in all jsps.
    is there a way for Jdeveloper to show code insights in jsp pages which includes a jsp or like xml schemas could be added at some place(tools-pref-xml schemas) and when used anywhere, would provide code insights.

    am not sure, try with this
    <jsp:include   .../>

    Ramesh,
              We experienced this sympton as well. In our JSPs, we converted
              <%@ include file="xyz.jsp"%> (static include, source time) to
              <jsp:include page="licensedQuote.jsp"/> (dynamic include, run time)
              and the problem went away.
              We still use static includes at the very start of the JSPs. It seems the problem only occurs when the static include is inside of a tag whose body does JSP evaluation.

  • How to force a jsp page to reload an "include" file?

    Hi there,
    I'm using WebSphere 4.0.2 with the Java 1.3.1 API.
    Some of my JSP files includes another JSP file as follows:
    <%@include file="constants.jsp"%>The above line came from one of the files entitled "main.jsp".
    Other jsp files on our system can rewrite and update the values in constants.jsp.
    However, when they do so, main.jsp (and the other files that "include" constants.jsp) doesn't take on the new settings unless I either a) reboot the server or b) force a recompile of main.jsp
    Is there any way to have main.jsp pick up when constants.jsp is updated and use the new values without manual intervention?
    Thanks!

    You might want to use 'touch' task of ANT. it modifies the jsp page modification time thus forcing the pages to reload.

  • "Include" files in Dreamweaver

    I used "Include" files in my pre-Dreamweaver sites. When I switched to Dreamweaver and opened those sites, Dreamweaver converted Include file content into content on every page and does not reference the Include file anymore. Is there a way to reestablish Include file functionality in Dreamweaver, so that each page keeps only the reference to the Include file? (If so I can just search/replace content now on the page with a new Include file reference.)

    I don't have a php site but I tried  <?php include("menu.txt"); ?> anyway, but it didn't work.
    Here is what I had used in the past:
    I typed this Include file "call" into the html on the page where I want the left-nav TOC text to display:
    <!--webbot bot="Include" U-Include="i/nav-left.htm" TAG="BODY" startspan -->
    Here is the TOC text contents of "nav-left.htm" which then auto-populates into the live html page on the site when displayed:

    <a href="http://www.example.com/about.php">About Us</a> -
    <a href="http://www.example.com/links.php">Links</a> -
    <a href="http://www.example.com/contact.php">Contact Us</a>
    frontpage would auto-insert this at the end of the above TOC text in the live page:
    <!--webbot bot="Include" i-checksum="20326" endspan -->
    But that TOC text never displayed in the nonpublished local version of the ms-frontpage web pages. It only filled in the TOC text on the page from the Include file after published out to the live site.
    Whenever I changed the contents in the one file i/nav-left.htm, it updated the left nav TOC text on all the pages on my site where I had inserted the include statement:
    <!--webbot bot="Include" U-Include="i/nav-left.htm" TAG="BODY" startspan -->
    But after I brought this website into Dreamweaver, it automatically replaced all the TOC text contents into my nonpublished local version of the web pages. Now when I change the include file, it does not update the pages in the site. The Include statement fails and never calls the Include file and the Include file TOC text no longer populates the web pages. If I have an update to the TOC text, I have to update it on every individual web page, instead of just once in the Include file like I used to.
    Is there a way to create a new Dreamweaver-friendly Include filed that's not php, or a different way of entering the statement, that will work in Dreamweaver?

  • %@ include file= in a JSP

    Please e-mail responses to [email protected] as well as this newsgroup:
              I have the following in a JSP that was originally designed for iPlanet:
              <%@ include file="../edeploy_global/GlobalVars.jsp" %>
              The JSP that contains this file is in a project called "edeploy28", that is in the same directory as "edeploy_global".
              However, I get the following error in WebLogic when trying to execute this:
              javax.servlet.ServletException: compilation of /DefectCodeSite.jsp failed: weblogic.utils.ParsingException: nested TokenStreamException: antlr.TokenStreamException: Could not include ../edeploy_global/GlobalVars.jsp

              I didn't look at your problem very closely. WLS 5.1 has had some problems with including
              JSPs. Get service pack 8 and the patch for CR036881 (from websupport.bea.com/custsupp
              or 1-888-228-4232)
