Include third-party static html

I need to include third-party html content in CQ component(throught url). The third-party html is updated regularly. What is the best practice to do this in CQ? Should I put down the html and cache it in CRX with a job and load the content in CQ component?
I think the a lot of people has the same situation.

I think the other way can be instead of going through all the way long why dont you make that html chunk available on your web server at predefined location and make use at same path with same name it updates regularly. Now create a component where set this static path as property so that you need to worry about changing the path value and in code fetch that path and use HTML chunk to display. If your HTML update frequency is too high and you dont want to cache it then you can set no-cache in component scriptlet.

When you use an executable jar the normal class path
is ignored, but you can put a classpath inside the
jar. The usual trick is to place the library jar
files in a directory inside the application directory
and direct the manifest file to it. The manifest file
live in the jar inside the META-INF directory and
it's called manifest.mf
The two heavilly used entries are Main-class: and
Class-path: lines. Class-path just has a
comma-separated list of library paths.

How can I include third-party javascript libarries in my WebUI app?

I would like to include a third-party javascript library, for example MochUI or something similar and combine it with elements in a generated BSP WD application to enhance the user experience.
Is it possible? How would you do this?

Hi Martin,
This is possible but be wary of conflicts between your 3rd party library and SAP JS - they use '$' as a function name which libraries such as JQuery also use as a shortcut for their functions. In the case of JQuery, this can be overcome using the noConflict() method.

Create a JAR including third party JARS

How can I export my project into a JAR file also including the third party JARs being used from my application (project)?
I think Eclipse does not support this, does it?
The problem is, that when I export my project into a JAR and then manually put the required JARs into the JAR using WinZip I do get such an Exception:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/ucp/jdbc/PoolDataSourceFactory
In my project I have a class (Runner.java) with a main method which the user can invoke from command line. Furthermore I have a GUI also with a main method which internally invokes Runner.java. How can I start either of themain methods/classes both in the same JAR?

i have an application that uses different third party

a) i include all my third party jars (it is working)
or is it better to
b) include the jars in the jnlp file
this is best, leaving the third party jars alone.
if b is better should i :
b1) link to them to another jnlp file, like this :

If you app needs all-permissions, it is best to do it this way, you can, for example, sign your jar, and then ask for all-permissions in the main jnlp file, then not ask for all-permissions in the extension jnlp file. Or you can ask for all-permission in the extension as well, if the third party jars are signed, and need all-permissions to run properly.

if you don't need all-permissions anywhere, this is easiest.
If you do need all-permissions everywhere, you could also do this, but you would need to sign the third party jars with the same certificate chain as you signed your jar.
If the third party jars are allready signed by the third party, or if all-permissions are only needed in some of the jars, the b1 is beter.

You need to add :
<security> <all-permissions/> </security>
to your jnlp file. In that case, all the jars listed as resources in that jnlp file need to be signed, and by the same certificate.

RED Workflow questions with Mac Pro (including third party plugins)

I’ve been searching many forums for the better part of a day trying to get some workflow questions sorted. I’m experiencing (very) slow export times, and mediocre playback for a machine that should be screaming fast.
Here is what I’m working with:
2014 Mac Pro
-2.7 GHz 12-core intel xeon E5
-64GB Ram
-Dual AMD FirePro D700 6GB
-1TB Flash Storage
Editing all footage off 96TB Raid 6 mini-sas server (getting about 1100mbs read/write rate according to AJA system test) which is faster than any Thunderbolt/TB2 drive array I have.
Media I work with is footage from the RED Epic (normally 5K) as well as DSLR footage from the 5d.
Software:
-PrPro CC 2014 (8.1)
-Magic Bullet Looks 2.5.2
My question(s) pertains to RED post-pro workflow in combination with third party plug-ins and the different approaches to make it more efficient.
Right now, majority of the clients need a 1080p HD master, and they are generally anywhere from 2-8 minutes (usually). So my sequence settings are as follows:
Video:
Editing Mode: RED Cinema
Size: 1920 x 1080
Audio: 48Hz
Video Previews
Preview File Format: I-Frame Only MPEG
Codec: MPEG I-Frame
1920x1080
Maximum Bit Depth unchecked
Maximum Render Quality unchecked
Composite in Linear Color checked
Export Settings
H.264
1920x1080
VBR 1 pass

Issues I have:
-Playback is fine at 1/2 or even full, but once effects (especially magic bullet looks) start to go on the clips, it’s very choppy and has difficult playback at 1/4
-Export times (especially with magic bullet looks) will take the better part of 1-4 hours for a video that is 3-6 minutes long. This doesn’t seem like it should be the case for a maxed out MacPro
So my questions are:
Do these seem like the right sequence/export settings for mastering at 1080p? If not, what would you suggest?
Would using offline editing help at all?
Do you place your effects on adjustment layers?
Is there anyway to improve export settings when using an array of filters?
Have you stopped using third party plugins for their inefficiency in unreliability and switched to more integrated applications like SpeedGrade?
Is there any other tweaks that you would suggest for RED workflow with PrPro?
Should I consider switching to FCPX or (besides the iMovie-likeness) does it carry problems of its own?

The biggest issue is that most people have is that updating OS X causes certain folders to be set to Read Only. See this blog post: Premiere Pro CC, CC 2014, or 2014.1 freezing on startup or crashing while working (Mac OS X 10.9, and later).

It's a nice base system. How about an additional speedy disk for media cache files. You also did not mention which version of OS X you are running.

I would not use this plug-in until you get the OK from the manufacturer.

Again, I suspect your plug-in.
Keep in mind that exports are largely CPU based but you can make sure that GPU acceleration is enabled for AME at the bottom of the Queue panel.

No need when you should be able to edit natively. Relinking might also be an issue.

Try the following:
Sign out from Creative Cloud, restart Premiere Pro, then sign in
Update any GPU drivers
Trash preferences
Ensure Adobe preference files are set to read/write(Hopefully you checked this out already)
Delete media cache
Remove plug-ins
If you have AMD GPUs, make sure CUDA is not installed
Repair permissions
Disconnect any third party hardware
If you have a CUDA GPU, ensure that the Mercury Playback Engine is set to CUDA, not OpenCLYou have AMD GPUs.
Disable App Nap
Reboot

[SOLVED] building an ane which include third party framework and using it

I made a ane which using third party framework. Without packing the framework into ane, the ane works fine, and using the framework directly in xcode, it works perfectly too.
But when pack the framework into ane, I got the error when using it to build a ipa:

The message "is not the architecture being linked (armv7)" is wrong because i using lipo command and get the framework info:

Memory leaks with Third party classes

Hello all,
This is fairly known problem. But I guess, my problem gives a new dimention to the problem.
I have an application which is developed by me. This application ideally needed to use third party classes ( obviously no source code is supplied ). These third party classes provide extra functionality required.
The problem is, when I don't use third party classes in my application, every thing is fine. When I include third party classes, I am having memory leaks.
Then I tried to investigate memory leaks with Optimizeit tool. It is new to me. As of now, I understood, we can identify where the memory leaks are occuring.
finally the problem is, in order to solve this, I need some patches in the code. But I don't have source code for those classes. How to solve this problem?
For example,
I use a third party classes in my code like this,
ThirdPartyMemoryLeakClass obj = new ThirdPartyMemoryLeakClass();
This 'obj' is made static, as it takes lot of time to create this object. Obviously this object contains several references to other objects, which I can't control.
In the process of reusing this object, I am getting memory leaks.
Any ideas regarding, how one has to deal this type of situations? What are the issues involved with this case? Are there any similar problems, which have been solved? are most welcome.

Decompile it using jad. Find leak.Yes, I too got the idea and tried to decompile those classes and recompile. I had some problems while recompiling. Is this is the only way to get rid of this problem?
I was refering to powersoft.datawindow.DataStore class. Does any body here has worked on these?
Can you suggest me how to find the memory leak causes? if you were needed to find out memory leak causes, what would be your approach?

Have you tried to include the jars in the Class path entry in the manifest file.
That should work eventhough I haven't tried it yet (fighting with ear deployement
and I must say WLS seems to be winning). I'll get back to when I've tried it.

R12 iStore integration with third party content management system

We are facing several challenges and are already a month behind for Go-Live with the iStore implementation. Hence, I wanted to check if anyone has worked on a similar setup
1. iStore being used only for cart functionality
2. All content, web pages are on a thrid party site
3. iStore's deep linking is being used for cart updates
4. We have a dmz environment and reverse proxy setup
5. Payments is integrated
We are finding several application errors, there is a loss during the back & forth communication between iStore & third party site. Could somebody please advise if there can be a better setup or if they have implemented a similar network topology.

The third party page would validate the fields sent by OAF page and then will provide the results which should be copied back into standard oracle OCO page (self service OAF page)

Technically it will depend more on the third party system involved in the discussion and the way it is integrated. But in the simplest terms, url parameters will always work.

Don't know if you can do this from Forms PL/SQL, but you should be able to write a stored procedure in the database that does it for you. The stored procedure could use the database package UTL_HTTP to make the HTTP request and receive the response.
Your custom stored procedure can be called from Forms PL/SQL. If you are caling to a tru web service, you can also look at the UTL_DBWS package which is a bit more high level for calling a web service, than the raw UTL_HTTP package.

Plugin Third party Dependent jars configuration

We have developed a scheduled task which has thid party dependent jars (jars for webservice client like axis etc). We put this jars under the lib folder which also contains the plugin jar. When we deploy the plugin with plugin registration utility we get classnotfound exception about the third party jars which we already included in the lib directory. What can be the problem here ? any help is strongly appreciated..

If you include Third party jar inside plugin zip it should not produce error.
However, For Scheduled task Plugin is not required. You upload your Scheduled Task Jar/Third party jar using UploadJars.sh or place inside Scheduled Task,ThirdParty folder.
Hope currently you have registered your code as plugin. better remove this plugin using ant script or db. and then put your jars at file system and then upload it using UploadJars.sh. Make sure you run
PurgCache.sh all afterwards.

I found out how to do it, you drag the bounding box of the image container or rectangle to the edge of the browser boundary - as in the gray area around the edge - it snaps to it and the edges of the container go red to show this, and when its previewed it spans 100% of browser width. I can't upgrade as I have windows vista and the new version doesn't run on Vista, don't really want to buy a new computer just to run the latest Muse!

Safari third party cookies

As one of the few user who still uses hotmail, I've got a problem with Safari logging me out on live.com.
I have chosen to accept only cookies from site I navigate to, thus blocking cookies from third party websites.
Now, for logging out on live.com, it seems to be necessary to ALWAYS accept cookies, including third party cookies.
Hotmail uses cookies from passport.com, not live.com, for tracking whether you have already logged out or not.
This is quite annoying, for I can't properly log out without temporarily changing my cookies settings.
Is there any way (preferences, terminal, application, ...) to custom accept cookies?
So I can still block third party cookies, but always allow cookies from passport.com?
I know this is a standard functionality of Firefox and even IE, why is it missing in Safari?
I'm using Safari 5.1 on osX 10.7.1

Downloaded and installed it, but it doesn't seem to have any affect on the "third party cookies" problem. I go to the "bill pay" section of the credit union website and it just shows a blank page.
So do I have to set Safari to "ALWAYS" accept third party cookies no matter what, and then use this other program to delete the hundreds that will be accepted that I don't want? That seems very cumbersome. As a long-time Mac user, I am sort of shocked at how little thought seems to have gone into cookie-handling. I would also figure someone might have written an "extension" to give more user control over how cookies are dealt with.
Safari has frustrated me greatly so far. There have been other issues as well, such as some "embedded" videos on some webpages just don't even show up,..there is nothing clickable to "make it load" or anything...just a blank spot on the page. Other webpages formats are completely screwed up by Safari...it puts text and headers in wrong places, and won't display some pages at all.
