Incoming email not working properly

Since updating to iOS 8.3.1 my incoming emails are not coming through until I click on them, previously they would come through as and when they were sent. I didn't think I had received any today but when I touched 'mailbox' I suddenly found I had 8 emails Waiting for me.

Try to go into the settings, mail, contacts and  calendars. Delete your mail account. Exit out, go back in and re-add your mail account.
Sometimes the update messes things up and starting over is usually the easiest way to fix it.

    I have enabled incoming email in a large multi-web application farm running SharePoint 2013 SP1 and the Feb 2015/March 2015 CUs that were pushed down in Windows Updates.  It works just fine for two web applications, but it will not work for one particular
    web application. I see the email land in the /drop folder. If I remove the email address from the library in http://nonworkingapp web
    application and use it on a library in a http://working web application, then the email is processed successfully. Conversely,
    if I take an address from a library in http://working and move it to a library inhttp://nonworkingapp it
    does not work. I've tried multiple site collections on http://nonworkingapp. This rules out any SMTP issues, etc. and means
    the issue is bound to this web application. Permissions are the same between the "non-working" and "working" locations: domain users are members on the site, and the library inherits permissions from the site.  The App Pool and Timer
    Service accounts have rights to the folder and to the library.
    The error in the ULS log is the typical error processing message, but it gives no additional information even though I have enabled Verbose logging.
    The Incoming E-Mail service has completed a batch. The elapsed time was 00:00: 00.0156294. The service processed 2 message(s) in total. Errors occurred processing 2 message(s): Message ID: Message

    Typically, you see "alias not found" or some permissions or quota issue here, but this issue is NOT the same as those. In this case NO additional information is provided in ULS.
    Edit: running stsadm.exe -o refreshdms -url http://one/failing/site fixed some similar issues where "Unknown alias" was
    reported even though the list did have an alias (see here:http://blogs.technet.com/b/vinitt/archive/2009/07/15/e-mail-enabled-list-alias-information-is-not-synchronized-between-configuration-database-and-content-database.aspx).
    This did not fix the issue for the case mentioned above.
    What could possibly be the issue preventing incoming email from working on this one web application?

    Thanks for your reply.  Incoming E-Mail was running on all 3 WFE, however I do not think this was the cause.  As noted, _other_ emails send to http://workingapp are working just fine.  I can send two emails - one to a library on http://workingapp
    and another on http://notworkingapp.  The email to http://notworkingapp will sit in the drop folder, while the one to http://workingapp will be processed correctly.  In addition, the ULS log on WFE1 indicates an attempt to process the file fails.
     So clearly, the timer job on WFE1 is running and attempting to process the file.  For kicks, I disabled the service on WFE2 and WFE3, but with no change in the behavior.
    WRT to #1, I have done this already (as noted in the original post).  I can remove an alias from http://workingapp and place it on http://nonworkingapp and it is not processed.  If I return it to http://workingapp it is processed.  In other
    words, I go into Library Settings -> Incoming Email for a working library, and copy the alias, then disable incoming email for that library.  I then go to Library Settings -> Incoming Email for a non-working library, enable incoming email, and paste
    the alias.  Once done, emails sent to the alias are not processed.  I then do the reverse, and it works again.
    On #2, I have already tried multiple libraries on http://nonworkingapp (also as noted in the original post).
    In my environment, incoming email does not work for any library on http://nonworkingapp, but does work for any library on http://workingapp.  Troubleshooting listed above has ruled out any problem with basic mail server configuration or library settings
    - the problem is bound to http://nonworkingapp
    I'm not sure what you mean by "steps to reproduce the issue".  If I knew that, I would probably be able to solve the issue.  The best I could come up with to describe the situation would be:
    Set up SP 2010 in a three-node configuration with multiple web apps
    Enable incoming email and confirm it works
    Migrate to a SP2013 SP1 farm in a three node configuration.
    Enable a new email alias for a library
    Observe that it doesn't work for one web application.
    Obviously, it's pretty unlikely that attempting that in a lab would actually have the same result.

  • Why is our email not working properly?

    For 6 days my husband and I can not reply or compose email.  After we check off emai lto be deleted it takes at least 5 clicks on delete to delete it.  Sometimes email not checked off is also deleted.  We then have to go to the trash to move it back to the inbox.  When we click on "move" it takes several minutes for it to load so we can move the mail back to the inbox.  Are we the only ones having trouble with Verizon email?

    Ah, it's a Mac Mini! You had us confused with your typing "iPad Mini" in the initial post.
    When I had this issue with Win 7/64 through Boot Camp under 10.6.8, I found the cure in this article:

    I used the "adventurous" method and have seen no further time issues.
    The article predates Win 8 so the files may be indifferent locations in 8.

    Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum.
    Please short press your On/Off button and slect the Offline profile to disconnect the internet connection temporarily. Then go to Menu > Email > Select the email account > Options > Delete mailbox. Switch the phone back to Online by short pressing the On/Off buttion again and select any profile but Offline. Now reboot the phone.
    Reinstall the mailbox via Menu > Email > New mailbox. If reinstalling the mailbox doesn't work, please contact your local Care line so that they can check your Nokia Messaging account. All you need for this is your IMEI, which you can find by entering *#06# into your phone.

  • 3G camera & Photo App Still Not Working-outbound email not working properly

    I have restored my 3G phone NUMEROUS times. I have restored it as new, I have restored it from Backup. Each time I deleted the previously downloaed upgrades, so that it would get them again, thinking this would fix the problem as Apple says it will MAYBE. I have done this so many times and I am SICK OF DOING IT!!!! My photos are somehow there somewhere because they are attached to my contacts, however I can not access them or my camera, as they go back to the home screen when pressed. This is the 2nd 3G phone within a 1 month period. The outbound email also stinks, as I can never consistently seem to be able to send an email. I have tried the smtp from AT&T (cwmx), GMAIL, AOL. None of them consistenly work. Also, each time I sync my phone, something is removed and I have to re-add it. I know others are as frustrtaed as I am, by reading the other posts???? My 2G phone which I only had for 5 months prior to the 3G, had no problems except for the consistently sending email problem on any smtp. My husband has that 2G now, and his camera works and he has the upgrade. The only thing he doesn't have on his phone is any extra apps. Could the 10 games I installed from Itunes be disruptive to the other features somehow? Also, I now have 8 games, cause some totally dissapeared! I am at my witts end!!!!!! APPLE HELP...CAN U PLZ SEND AN UPGRADE THAT WILL FIX THIS PROBLEM FOR GOOD! (NOT JUST A BUNCH OF LAME GUESSES AND RESTORES) ! Thanks!

    Might the onset of its failure coincide with your update to iOS 7?
    If they do, maybe the old app is not fully compatible with the new iOS and you need an update of it?

  • Email not working properly, web apps not at all, 3g crashes....what's next?

    Email either won't connect or says no content. My web apps don't work at all since 2.0.2, they just crash before they ever start. And when I have 3g coverage, it crashes, and it really it was not faster than my old iphone. Do I have a bad phone? I am restoring now, we'll see if that does anything.

    I'm not experiencing any of the problems provided by the OP. I'm also not having any 3G connection problems.
    To the OP, if a Restore from your iPhone's backup does not resolve it, try restoring as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup. If there is a problem with your iPhone's backup, you are restoring the problem when restoring your iPhone from the backup.
    If neither restore option resolves your problems, call AppleCare at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

  • ABAP spool to email not working properly !!

    My requirement is to email the spool generated at each step to a particular distribution list.
    There are 6 steps in my SAP job (SM37) as shown below.
    step1 : report1
    step2 : email spool1 (this is a custom program that reads the spool id from previous step)
    step3 : report2
    step4 : email spool2 (same custom program used in step2)
    step5 : report3
    step6 : email spool3 (same custom program used in step2)
    Now when I run the above job, only the email is being sent in step6 (that carries spool of step5 as an attachment). The other two email spool jobs at step 2 and 4 are not sending any emails. Kindly give your inputs on what might be the problem?

  • Emailing not working properly

    I upgraded to version 5. Now I cannot send attachments, and when I click on mail in the browser it asks for my log-in data. When I log in I do gain access to the email address I entered, but from that point on I cannot access my other 3 email addresses. I really like the other features of v. 5, but emailing is a disaster. Can you help me? I just upgraded to IE 8 and there are no problems. I'll continue to use IE if this cannot be resolved. Thank you. Ken Mikel

    Without wanting to sound patronizing, when i have that problem i have:
    1. changed the orientation of the screen to see if that works
    2. exited the app with the keyboard and then re-entered
    3. turned my iphone off and on again to see if that fixes it
    If this is a permanent problem for you then maybe consider booking in at a genius bar?

    My Samsung software updated yesterday. Now, when I am outside my 4G network, I can no longer send or receive emails. What setting change am I overlooking? 

    Let's troubleshoot a little further fscarbrogh. The reason I asked if you are able to access the internet, is to ensure you have a data connection. A data connection is required in order for your email to sync to your device successfully. Are you using a third party app to retrieve your emails? Have you tried to remove and re-add your email account?

    To change your Apple ID, follow these steps:

    In the "Apple ID and Primary Email Address section," click Edit.
    Enter the email address you want to use, then  click Save Changes. Apple will send a verification email to that  address.
    Open the  email  from Apple, then click Verify Now in the email.
    When the My Apple ID page opens, sign in with your renamed Apple ID.
    If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID.

    My mail is not working properly: when I click on an email it hangs, frequently showing the previous email, often for up to a minute. Or it shows "loading" and just sits there showing nothing. OR there is a blank screen saying "no message selected". It's slow to load, and I'm not happy. Recently switched from Windows PC, not impressed so far. Very frustrating.
    Any suggestions would be gratefully received. (I upgraded to Mountain LIon, and don't think I had problems before I did so, though I hadn't had the computer for long.)

    It is not practicale to do this always any one faces the same problem

    There may be a problem with the SIM card. Get a new SIM card from your carrier - there should be no charge for a replacement.
    If no change with a new SIM card, the standard troubleshooting steps in order are:
    Power your iPhone off and on.
    An iPhone reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.
    Restore your iPhone with iTunes from your iPhone's backup.
    Restore your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.
    If no change after any of these steps in order, your iPhone has a hardware problem.

    Are you using any MS Office third party Add-ins? Test:  Remove third party Add-ins other than PDFMaker.  Test to see if the MS Office apps run afterward.
    Did you attempt to repair MS Office?  Test:  Go to Add/Remove Control Panel run Repair.
    Finally, have you tried testing to see if it's PDFMaker?  Test: Use the Add/Remove Control Panel to modify the Acrobat installation to remove PDFMaker.  See if MS Office applications launch and behave correctly?
