  • Email not sending but going into sent folder

Hi everyone, occasionally when i send mail, I dont get the swoosh and the mail doesnt get sent - it does, however, go into the sent folder so I have no idea that it has failed, any idea/fixes out there - thanks

According to Comcast's help pages, you should be using port 587 for the outgoing (SMTP) email server.
@JoeyG15, port 80 is HTTP, that's for web access, etc., not email.

  • EMOD Emails going into Junk Folder

I created an email campaign in EMOD, targetting 330 customers. Just to be on the safe side, I also added myself as a recipient on the list. The emails went out successfully as scheduled, but I noticed that instead of the inbox my email has gone directly into the Outlook Junk folder.
The email was designed so that it is sent FROM a person's email address, but any REPLY-TO go into a generic email account for an internal team to monitor. Also, the email does not have the (bhd-bounce etc...) as this was removed by Customer Care.
Can someone please explain how I can avoid the emails going into Junk Folder? I am concerned that our customers will not see the email, or that the Response Status for this campaign will not reflect true results.
    Please advise.

    Hi CRMwise,
I could not understand what this means:
If you need to white list for your company the information below should help:
    mail-11.crmodmail.com (141.146.155.148)
Did you follow up with Oracle to find out how to whitelist your emails?
Oracle claims that they take extra care to ensure that mails sent from their server are whitelisted. However, I guess that would not stop the individual email address mentioned in the From field from getting blacklisted.
Do share your experience how you mange to resolve this issue. Here is an interesting link I came across:

My husband and I share an email address and if he misses a day checking email on his notebook, he doesn't receive the items that I have sent to Trash on my iPad Mini.
    Appreciate suggestions.
[The curious thing is, if I "move" the deleted emails from Trash on my iPad Mini into the Inbox, I can go to my notebook, open my online email and they are back in my ATT/Yahoo Inbox.]

Keeping the folder you are moving to the far left will do the trick.

  • Stop categorizing incoming emails with same category as thread

Hi, I categorize certain emails.  When I receive a reply to an email that is categorized, the reply is then categorized to match the other email in the thread.  I don't want that.  I want incoming emails to not be categorized.  I've
even created a rule to remove categories on receive, but they still get categorized.  I also have a rule to remove categories before send, just in case that's how they're getting there.
Any ideas how to stop this?
I'm using Outlook 2010 against Exchange.
    Thanks!

    Replies to your questions...
Regular mode, no rules, I am the Receiver.
Sender (someone else) creates and sends an email without categories.
Receiver (me) receives the email without categories.
Receiver replies to email without setting any categories.
Sender receives the Receiver’s reply, uncategorized.
Receiver categorizes the initially received email in the Inbox.
Sender replies to Receiver’s reply.  When the message is received by the Receiver, it is categorized like the other message
    in the thread.
Incoming mail is categorized when the other email in the thread is categorized.

    Does that help?
    Thanks!
    Hi,
Sorry for my delay. Has the issue been resolved?
I have tested all your scenarios above in my environment one by one. But I can't reproduce your issue. And the message received last time by the Receiver is not categorized in any scenario.
I suspect whether the receiver opened the Inbox folder by conversation view in Outlook. Please do the following changes in Outlook to have a try:
    1. Click the receiver's Inbox Folder.
    2. Click View tab on the Ribbon.
    3. Please make sure the Show as Conversations checkbox is unchecked.
    4. Close Outlook. And run the following
    Outlook switches to open it:
    Outlook /cleanviews
Restores default views. All custom views you created are lost.
Then check whether the issue persists. If it doesn't work, please confirm if the issue only happens to one specific user and we can change a new machine for this user to send test message for further troubleshooting.

  • Emails going into "Junk" folder

The default junk folder is called "Junk Email" however this one user has  "Junk" folder above that in which only emails that he receives from linkedin.com go in there. My first thought was that he has a rule sorting linkedin.com emails
into that folder but after checking local and server side rules there are none with that criteria that exist.
Next since that's not a default folder, I said let's permanently delete the "Junk" folder and see what happens. Sure enough the next email he received from linkedin.com created a new "Junk" folder and sorted that email in there.
    How can this be happening?
The user wants to keep the filtering on the low setting and we have already whitelisted linkedin.com.
I want to know how come there are two junk folders, one called "Junk" and the default "Junk Email" folder. Typically there is only the second one
How this mail is being routed in there because there are no rules that specify any mail to go into that folder.
Maybe there is a hidden rule I am not seeing. Possibly going to try OUTLOOK.EXE  /cleanrules /cleanserverrules after hours and then re-create his existing rules.

I think it's the galaxy - seems to be an issue with samsung:

Go into Settings, General Settings, Spam and remove addresses that should not be spam.

  • My yahoo and work emails are going into same folder - how do i stop

i just set up my enterprise email and my yahoo was going into the main "folder" on my bb prior to setting up my work/enterprise email. i still have the yahoo icon/folder as well. how do i change it to only have my work/enterprise emails go into the main mail folder/icon and my yahoo to just go to the yahoo icon? thanks so much!

    HI,
    Officially, You cant.
BES emails ALWAYS go into the  Messages icon.
All messages go into the Messages icon.
You can get third party applications to create a seperate BES email icon, or you can get the BES to push an icon (if you BES has the ability/mods).
But you will always have the Messages icon with ALL messages.
    Sorry.
I dont know the other third party places, but Im sure someone else can assist
(I think one place may be called Empower? A google search maybe?).

  • Incoming e-Mail (all gmail) going into "Junk" Folder

Hi...My iPad Air 2 Mail "Inbox" worked fine now e-Mails have stopped going into the "Inbox" & appear in the "Junk" Folder...I have not manually changed any settings...i have removed e-Mail account & reinstalled but still have the problem...Your help would be greatly appreciated to reinstate the "Inbox"...Cheers, CPS

Please post an image of the filter.
re :Such messages never get to my filter unless I do something like "run filters" on the junk window.
So the message is auto moved to Junk before your filters are applied.
If the message is in Junk then your filter will not work because filters only work automatically on new messages in the Inbox.
    Check your filter.
It must say 'Filter before junk classification'.
Also, as in my previous response, you must set up your Junk Controls correctly, so that email addresses in selected address books are set as a whitelist. For this to apply to that particular email address, you must have that email address in a selected address book.

  • All incoming going into Spam folder

Since upgrading to Leopard - back up to external first, then clean install of Leopard, then re import files from backup. All incoming mail is going into the Spam folder .. everything on exceptions. Have looked for a simple explanation and searched but can't find the fix. Any suggestions out there

Solved .... the issue is/was Spam Sieve. The plug in had to be re-installed and all is back to normal.

  • Mail going into junk folder that's not junk

I have tons of emails suddenly going into my junk folder, but they are not even being marked as junk email. These are emails that used to always come in fine. It's happening to all my accounts, so I don't think it's to do with the provider, especially since one is my Mac account. Any idea what's going on?

  • Sent messages not going to sent folder

I know this has been asked a bunch of times. This IPAD was purchased in May 2010.
When I go to the sent box on the IPAD it shows the same emails as are in the inbox, but no sent messages I sent via the IPAD.
I've read through all the emails discussion boards and can't find any suggestions that work. The email account is a secondary user on the MAC, so I'm not sure if that's an issue.
I've started blind copying myself to get the messages to the MAC, but is there a way to keep them in the IPAD SENT folder?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Mozilla Thunderbird, let us know and we can move this thread to the Thunderbird queue. This question currently is in the Firefox queue for answers.
