Inconsistent information in dmadmin

We´re running TUX 8.0, patch level 120.
Using dmadmin, the following seemingly conflicting information is shown:
[myprompt] dmadmin
pd -d MYLOCALDOMAINLocal domain : MYLOCALDOMAIN
Connected domains:
Disconnected domains being retried:
Domainid: MYREMOTEDOMAIN
co -d MYLOCALDOMAIN<MYREMOTEDOMAIN> - connection is already open
So what is it?
How can dmadmin claim that it is retrying a connection on the one hand and state
that it´s already there on the other?
Has anybody seen this behaviour before?
Winfried

Just adding to my previous post. The latest CC 2014 version of Flash still has the erroneous "Paste using AI File Importer Preferences" option when copying and pasting from Illustrator, but it also still doesn't show where you can adjust the AI File Importer Preferences. What gives? If I'm able to choose to use the AI File Importer Preferences, shouldn't I also be able to see what those preferences are?
Anyone?

  • Inconsistent information listed

When I go into Network Discovery | Device List | All Types | List All or
    Window types
it will show a list with IP addresses. Not much information shown on
this page, ie: no User, Name or Product = Unknown. Except for the ZAM
server it will show the User and display the Product Name = System type.
When I click on a known IP address it will show Asset Information, not
much detail on this page. No User.
But when I click on the Asset Mgmt Client _7.50.0011_ it will show great
detail with User, the type of System (Dell OptiPlex GX270).
Wondering why the User or Name doesn't show up on the List All or
Windows screen or the Asset Information screen.
    Thank you

    No worry.
Well, I have 5 network discoveries set to run every Mon, Wed & Fri at 5
different times for my 5 different branch subnets.
Firewalls are down on the workstations.
Should I delete some items out of network discovery then let it rediscover?
    Thank you

  • ChaRM: Transport reuqest status inconsistency

    Hi Gurus,
I am having a problem when passing a correction to test in ChaRM. The error shows as "Not all transport yet released".
When checked from SE01, all transports concerns are indeed released.
I then ran a report from /tmwflow/reporting to see transports included in the ChaRM in question. There the statuses of two (out of all four) requests were shown as "D" = Modifiable. The other two were shown as "R" = Released.
I am wondering if this has anything to do with my not being able to proceed to the next status?
    BR Li

    Hi
I escalated the issue to SAP, it was found that three out of all four requests of the ChaRM (SDHF) seem not to have a CTS project assigned. All four requests are connected to the urgent correction task list but not to the maintenance cycle (CTS project). The analysis was that the CTS project assignments to the requests may had been removed in SE09. The requests/ChaRM were created by a developer and I couldn't not check/confirm if this was indeed the case. They cannot be added to project from the maintenance cycle's task list either as they had been released.
Nevertheless I am still puzzled by the status inconsistency information. From report /tmwflow/reportingn, and from table /tmwflow/trordhc all shown that the three troubled transports were not released. I am not sure if this missing CTS project connection is the reason the information cannot be read correctly. I don't know when ChaRM is doing the consistency (condition) check regarding release and import when "Pass Correction to Test", where the information is checked/read.
SAP suggestion is to import the requests manually with STMS. This of course is not the best solution, however there seems not another other trick to proceed with the ChaRM. I cannot set the status to the next with CRM program either. The "not all transports yet released" error persists.
Siddharth, thanks. Yes, the report i used was the one ended with "n".
Jansi, for some reason the note you suggested cannot to downloaded from snote tranaction in SolMan, so I haven't implemented it yet.

  • Data overage and horrable customer service.

I have been charge incorrectly for the data overage on my cellular phone,  I disputed the data overage on my Verizon Wireless account, the phone and wish to open an investigation.
I don’t use my cell phone to download the movies/video or music neither did I authorized anyone to use my cell phone for the high data activities. Approximately 39GB of data was used on my mobile phone during the month of October 2014. I never had such a high data usage in the past. Based on my analysis of the bill most of the usage happened during evening/night time and on weekends. We have an internet service at home. In my household we currently have my 13 years old daughter, our cat and me leaving together.  In September, we temporary moved from our house to an apartment. I have left my phone unattended several times in apartments’ gym and swimming pool, it was not password protected at that time. I have installed password recently, and changed the password for the hotspots based on tech support recommendations. My daughter knows my password, however she denies using my phone hotspots for movie or music downloads.  We have a regular internet service and rarely use hotspots to connect her i-pod or my computer to the internet while driving in a car, to browse an internet.  However, I often left my hotspots on, unintentionally.  I suspect that somebody in the apartment building was using my mobile phone hotspots to get to the internet.
In addition, I did not receive any communications from Verizon informing me about my data overage. In the past, I always had notifications from Verizon about the data/minutes usage on my account. If I were to get a notification about high data usage, I would start an investigation immediately to find out the source of data leakage and certainly change my plan meanwhile to a higher data limit.
The only notification   I received this time, was an email from Verizon on November 3, 2014, stating that my account balance was $3123. I called Verizon Wireless the morning of November 4, 2014. I was told by a Verizon representative that I have a data overage, and was advised to change my data plan to prevent additional charges. I upgraded my account to 30 GB/month plan. I inquired about the possible cause of the high data usage, and was told by Verizon representative,   that the data was used through my hotspots.
In addition, I was informed that, Verizon has been sending e-mail messages to me beginning October 15, 2014. As I stated earlier, I received no communications from Verizon prior to November 3, 2014 warning me about data overage.
In the past 2 days, I spent over 10 hours talking to Verizon customer support, technical support and fraud departments trying to understand how so much data was used through my phone. I also went to Verizon store in Downingtown, PA in attempt to solve this problem. I shown my e-mail communications to the store manager and explained the situation.  I was treated very professionally but was told to call customer service.  While on the phone with Verizon, I have been bounced around from one representative to another, put on hold for hours, lost during the transfer several times, given wrong, inconsistent or contradictory  information on multiple  occasions. Each Verizon representative would give me different information on why I did not receive warnings from Verizon on my data usage or in contrary for example, that Verizon sent me 150 warning messages starting October 15, 2014. However I did not get any resolution to my problem even when I asked to speak to the managers.
I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 18 years.    I feel now that Verizon did not protect me as a customer from the fraudulent activities and failed to inform me about my data usage prior to billing me the exuberant charges. I feel that the Verizon representatives are lacking training and conducting bad business practices by providing inconsistent information and bouncing customers around from one department to another.   I don’t know if I can trust my business to Verizon in the future.
I strongly believe that I should be fully credited for the data overage I did not use. I would like Verizon Corporate to improve on their current business practices to improve customer satisfaction.
I wish Verizon corporate representative to contact me via phone call and in writing to resolve these issues.

I had the same problem with my old iphone 4. The hotspot, even when used sparingly, will use OUTRAGEOUS amounts of data. The only reason I got my overages credited was because shortly after turning the hotspot off my antenna started to malfunction and would not connect to wifi at all and just sucked up data. Best of luck to you, my suggestion is to report to the BBB and go from there.

Following is the text from Note for Custom Password Validation logic:
Customers who wish to use their own password validation logic may do
so by writing their own Java classes that implement the
      oracle.apps.fnd.security.PasswordValidation Java interface.  The
interface requires 3 methods to be implemented:
      1) public boolean validate(String user, String password)
        - This method takes a username and password, and then returns true
or false, indicating whether the user's password is valid or invalid,
      respectively.
      2) public String getErrorStackMessageName()
        - This method returns the name of the message to display when the
user's password is deemed invalid (i.e., the validate() method returns
      false).
      3) public String getErrorStackApplicationName()
        - This method returns the application shortname for the
      aforementioned error message.
After writing the Java class to perform customized password
validation, the customer must then set the value of the profile option
SIGNON_PASSWORD_CUSTOM to be the full name of the class.  If, for
example, the name of the Java class is
oracle.apps.fnd.security.AppsPasswordValidation, then the value of the
      SIGNON_PASSWORD_CUSTOM profile option must be
      oracle.apps.fnd.security.AppsPasswordValidation.  Note that AOL/J
will attempt to load this class dynamically.  Hence it is necessary to
make the class accessible by AOL/J.  This means that in Forms, the
class must first be loaded into the database using the loadjava
      command.

  • Bt helpdesk is anything but

I'm trying to get a sensible answer out of BTs level 1 and level 2 helpdesk but I'm failing miserably. Maybe someone on this forum knows more about how these things work and can explain it to me.
I've had an ongiing problem with my phone/broadband since the 18/Nov (actually I've had intermittent speed issues with my broadband since I moved into my house in January but that's another story and a line profile reset usually gets me back up and working for a few months at least).
I reported a fault on my noisy line 18/Nov and my broadband was practically inactive at 0.05mbit. BT eventually decided it was my fault and dispatched an engineer to my house to fix the problem and if it was my fault they'd charge me 129.99. The engineer arrived and before I had a chance to make him a cup of tea he'd jumped back in his van and drove off to the cabinet on the other side of the village. Twenty minutes later he was back saying the connections had corroded in the cabinet and everything was now working. He decided to replace my master socket as it was old (not because it was faulty). I was surprised when I found on my notes later that the cause of the line fault was in the master socket and that was the reason it was replaced! Not the first time the "solution" has been noted wrongly. A few months ago the "cause" was the wrong wireless channel on my router even though I'd told the helpdesk I'd checked everything via ethernet and via the master test socket. The actual solution was a line profile reset.
Anyway, things were really good for a week. My voice calls had the clearest line ever (before there was a slight echo on the line) and my broadband was the fastest it had ever been (previously it bested at 1.8mbit, now it was consistently at 2.3mbit). Then my noisy line came back and my broadband dropped to 0.01-0.05mbit again. I logged another fault on the 5/Dec. An engineer was dispatched to the cabinet at the end of my village and my line was back to normal last tuesday morning (broadband still 0.01-0.05mbit). I contacted the helpdesk to get them to do a line profile reset which has always fixed my slow broadband within the hour but the person I spoke to was highly resistent to do anything other than ask me questions from her script "do you have a wired or wireless connection" etc etc After 90 minutes I gave up and phoned later and got through to Level 2 support who did some tests and reckoned a (SNR) line reset was in order but it was now too late to do one (have to get them in before 8p) and they would schedule it for the following day (Wed).
On Wednesday a lady from the level 2 support phoned me and told me she'd initiated a line reset and that my line speed would be 4. something mbit within an hour then settling down over the next 44 hours as it stabilised. Sounded good but yesterday my broadband was still 0.01-0.05mbit and my IP profile was still 0.14. Last night I called L2 support again and I was told I must have "misunderstood" the person I spoke to the day before as it would take 72 hours for my speed to increase. I'm not sure exactly what it was she said that I could have misunderstood and I did ask the person I spoke to but he didn't seem to have an answer for that and as the woman I spoke to was off-shift we couldn't get her on the line to confirm or deny what she had said). I asked about the reset and he told me it was a RAMBO reset that had been performed.
This morning I contacted support to confirm what had been reset and when and eventually after much prompting I was told a RAMBO reset had been done on the tuesday immediatley after the engineer cleared the line fault and an SNR reset was done on Wed when the helpdesk phoned and told me my speed would be up within the hour. I got cut off the chat before I could finish talking to the helpdesk. I called back and after a protracted chat he told me he'd contacted the L2 helpdesk and they'd never heard of a RAMBO reset!
Having googled the term I've found out that it's BTs ADSL management software so I would have expected them to know that! Doesn't inspire confidence when a level 2 helpdesk is unaware of a companies products!
So my question for the forum is; given that I've been given so much inconsistent information, much of it from the level 2 network helpdesk where they should know better. Can anyone give me an explanation of the different resets that BT can apply to my line and how long before they take any effect. So far I have about an hour, 44 hours, up to 72 hours, can take up to ten days to choose from.
From previous experience in the last 10 months when I've probably had my line profile reset serveral times, I've noticed a pretty good speed increase within 1-2 hours of BT saying it had been done. This time my boradband test shows download speed 0.01-0.09mbit, acceptable range 0.05-0.25mbit. DSL connection rate 4.29mbit(down) and 0.45mbit(up) and IP Profile 0.14mbit.
Anyone got any useful information for me before I go into battle with the level 2 support tonight?

  • Fraudulent Text Messages and Verizon's Response

I received a text message telling me I had won a $1,000 Best Buy gift card, with instructions on how to claim it.  I suspected it was fraud and called Best Buy.  They confirmed it was a fraudulent text and told me they had received thousands of calls about the message.  I called Verizon Customer Service to inform them about the message and they claimed to be unaware that this message was being circulated to customers.  I was told that this sender could not be blocked from sending messages to Verizon customers, despite knowing the phone number it was coming from, and knowing that the messages are fraudulent scams.  On top of it, I'm paying Verizon for the privilege receivng these scam messages, since I don't have a text plan. I'm very disappointed with Verizon's response and the fact that they aren't taking a more proactive approach to protecting their customers.  I think Verizon's Customer Service and Fraud Departments should want to know about these scams and should at least act like they care about preventing their customers from getting these bogus messages.  They should have an easy way to forward messages like these to their Fraud Department. I also hate the fact that I have to pay Verizon $.20 for each fraudulent text I receive.  Never was offered a credit.  It's a good way to "encourage" customers to pay for a text plan, even if they don't text much.  I'm a long-time customer who has spent a lot of my hard-earned money with Verizon over the years.  I feel like I'm getting nickel-and-dimed to death on top of the overly-complicated plans and inconsistent information I receive from customer service.  Do they really care about the customer, or just about the revenue?

More and more of these type of messages have become a regular because of all the electronic footprints users are leaving all over the web like Facebook, Twitter, file sharing and not to forget the free applications that are usually infested with advertisements..
Security should start at home first because no level of security will stop personal information from being available when users simply give it out to oters on a regular.
I have had a number of clients that would go to a infected site that requested for the user to disable their system Virus Scan or Firewall to access data from the site and the customer would do it and then their system gets infected, is this some how my job to resolve this issue for free?
I really do not see how this is Verizon’s problem to resolve.

  • Mails phisically in the server but not appearing in webmail and reconstruct

    Hello:
    Solaris 10 8/07 s10x_u4wos_12b X86
Sun Java System Messaging Server 6.3
The user deleted every single mail from his mailboxes via webmail. Every folder appeared empty in the webmail, the inbox, recycle bean, sent mails... all of them (I checked it). However, it stated that the quota usage was 50%. That was because in the server there were 50 MB of .msg files, and the user's quota is 100 MB. I don't know why happened that, as far as I know, if the .msg files were expunged messages, they shouldn't count for the quota usage, is that right?
Anyway, I removed the messages using rm, then imexpire and reconstruct -r user/username/INBOX. I sent two emails to the user with attached files, they were correctly received and the quota usage changed right (files size was 2 MB, so quota usage was 2%). I deleted the messages via webmail, I was able to see them in the server but did not appeared via webmail, and the quota was right, so everything seemed to be OK.
    The weird thing is:
    root@machine # reconstruct -n user/username/INBOX
    user/username/INBOX
ERROR: Inconsistent information: 0 idx records 2 messages 3 expunged
So, I run reconstruct -n user/username/INBOX, it finds the problem, it shows something like "reconstructing: OK", but if I run the reconstruct -n again, it still show the "Inconsistent information" error. ¿? What am I missing?
Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you very much, and I apologize for my poor English.

    Sorry for the incomplete info:

Did you verify this output with the output of mboxutil/imquotacheck for the account?
The 50% quota usage was reported in UWC and also in the output of mboxutil.
That was because in the server there were 50 MB of .msg files, and the user's quota is 100 MB. I don't know why happened that, as far as I know, if the .msg files were expunged messages, they shouldn't count for the quota usage, is that right? The ".msg" files are not removed from disk until the next imexpire run. If a message is expunged it won't count towards quota usage.
Right, because of that I don't understand why there were ".msg" files in the disk that were not displayed in UWC, as they were expunged, but they did count towards quota usage.
Anyway, I removed the messages using rm, then imexpire and reconstruct -r user/username/INBOX. -n          : report basic errors found but try not to rebuild most folder files if possible
(This may be used to catch errors before repair so they may be studied)If you run "reconstruct user/username/INBOX" was the mailbox fixed?Well, the mailbox is working fin, but I think that there's something that I'm misunderstanding. I'm really newbie in SJS Messaging Server. The -n flag is for report errors only, without performing any repair, isn't it?

So, if I run the reconstruct -n and it found a problem, then I run the reconstruct -r and it said that the reconstruction was OK... When I run the reconstruct -n again, why did it find an inconsistency again? I don't get it.
Anyway, I don't see that problem now:

  • Question about file preparation for print from Photoshop

I need to figure out the best method for saving for print from Photoshop. Here are the things that are confusing me:
Problem: When I create a design in Photoshop, I'm left with a few options on how to save my document. I would like to know which of the following is the best method:
Method 1: create a pdf and embed the required fonts. This method worries me because I've read that certain fonts will not open on the recipients end due to restrictions set by the font maker. Is this something I should be concerned with or is embedding fonts the best route to take?
Method 2: Convert all type to shapes. This method seems like the safest but I've read problems associated with this route as well. One website commented that having too much text converted to shapes can cause extremely long print times. Is this true?
Another problem I've encountered with converting text to shapes is when I have a paragraph that has more than one text color...converting to shapes converts everything to just a single color. I would love to know a work around to this. Currently I have to create separate layers for the different text colors and try to manually align them...very time consuming. I know InDesign would be best for this type of thing, but Photoshop works just fine for me, asside from this one little thing).
Method 3: Flatten my entire design (text and all) at 300dpi. Will my text look crisp flattening at this resolution?
Thank you to anyone who can help clear this up for me. I read so much inconsistant information online that I don't know what to think anymore.

Method 1: create a pdf and embed the required fonts. This method
worries me because I've read that certain fonts will not open on the
recipients end due to restrictions set by the font maker. Is this
something I should be concerned with or is embedding fonts the best
    route to take?
Always embed fonts, but then again, Photoshop can't until you save a format that can like PDF.  Some fonts do not allow you to do so. Outline the fonts or convert to shapes. Better yet, stop building text documents in Photoshop for print. It's generally a bad idea for many reasons like rejected jobs and lost money and time.
    Method
2: Convert all type to shapes. This method seems like the safest but
I've read problems associated with this route as well. One website
commented that having too much text converted to shapes can cause
extremely long print times. Is this true?
Problems arise if you want someone to edit the files, but the same goes for a font that is missing.  As far as the print slow down times - it depends upon the RIP and how complex the file is.  Maybe or maybe not be an issue.  After all, text in Photoshop is using a font as a vector shape layer and not a font in the traditional sense.
    Another problem I've encountered
with converting text to shapes is when I have a paragraph that has more
than one text color...converting to shapes converts everything to just a
single color. I would love to know a work around to this. Currently I
have to create separate layers for the different text colors and try to
manually align them...very time consuming. I know InDesign would be best
for this type of thing, but Photoshop works just fine for me, asside
    from this one little thing).
A paragraph?  Please attend a school that teaches you the basics of design in graphics. It will do you a great service to get more studies under your belt. Photoshop text is for graphical art not type setting.
Method 3: Flatten my entire design (text and all)
at 300dpi. Will my text look crisp flattening at this resolution?
It depends upon the resolution of the output device. The higher the resolution of the output the worse your text will be.

  • Does the new imac support 3D movie play?

I was wondering if the newest iMac can play 3D movies, like the new 3d blue ray/3D tv can, anyone knows about this?

There were two sources. One was the Apple iMac descriptions themselves and the other is the much more detailed info available on everymac.com .
Everymac.com clearly states the current iMacs support audio output from the miniDisplayPort, however when I rechecked Apple's website today, there is no mention of it in the current iMac tech specs.
So, this is, at a minimum, inconsistent information, and doesn't actually confirm one way or another whether or not the current iMacs support audio over the mDP.
On the other hand, Apple have 2 KB documents about this topic - TS3065 and HT4241 which state that audio output from the mDP is only supported on:
    MacBook Pro (17-inch, Mid 2010)
    MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010)
    MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2010)
    iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2009)
    iMac (27-inch, Late 2009)
    Mac mini (Mid 2010)
    MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010)
Interesting that the latest iMacs are not mentioned, but I believe both articles predate the latest models.
I understand this is not as definitive as I believed it was when I wrote my original post.
What mDP-HDMI adapter are you using and what device are you connecting to?

  • Laptop for Photo/Video editing via Photoshop CS5/Premiere

I am currently seeking a laptop strictly for photo/video editing.  I desire an i7 processor (Ivy Bridge is better from what I'm hearing but am not sure), dedicated graphics card (at least 3G video memory), a minimum of 8GB ram that is still expandable, a 17" 1920x1080 matte display with a wide color gamut, a 7200rpm drive and would absolutely love to find one with Windows7 as I personally cannot stand the new Windows8.  One other thing, I need the necessary ports available to hook to a larger monitor for more detailed work.  I was looking at the ASUS G75VW that BestBuy was carrying, which I hear has gotten good reviews (other than the sound driver issue that I hear is fixable) and here begins the other half of my dilemma.
At two local stores, I have went and looked at computers on display, and, although nice personalities abounded, when I started mentioning the above mentioned desires, every single employee I spoke with stood there and looked at me like a cow looking at a new gate before handing me a printout of "specs" off of the BestBuy website.  I pointed out several inconsistencies I had noticed on the "specs" (ie information left out, inconsistent information) and the looks only got worse, as if I had suddenly started speaking in tongues from planet "what the f...??".
All of this being said, I realize I could purchase a "designer" laptop from a myriad of other sites.  However, I was recently given a sizeable gift card, from BestBuy, and am limited in this aspect.  So, with an open mind, any suggestions, experience, recommendations anyone?
P.S. I have also considered the MacBook Pro, as well as the iMac 27" (yes, I know it's not a laptop but it's freakin' cool looking).  Despite the PC vs Mac MMA cage fights to the death, I don't care if it's a pc, apple, orange or a grapefruit as long as it's fast, reliable, upgradeable to a degree, repairable when it breaks and does what I need it to do.
    Thanks in advance!

I've only seen Windows 8, never used it, and it looked like a pain. But if I'm not mistaken, isn't there an option for it to function like a normal Windows machine with Desktop and Start menu/ bar?
The laptop you linked looks fine for running CS5. I'd max out that RAM for rendering reasons thats about it. The only thing is the graphics card is mid-range, and being a laptop you can't upgrade it. I don't know what your work load for file size is or what type of video your doing in Premiere though.
I like iMacs and everything, but when it comes to upgrading stuff, don't count on it. Depending on what your workin' on, I'd rather invest in a MacPro and pick my own monitor.
As far as Windows or Mac goes, you can obviously use either one, but I personally like the workflow on a mac. Windows seems to be more worried about being 'flashy' and not concerned with the user experience. Unfortunetly Macs are gettin there too. For some stupid reason people are thinking the workflow on a tablet and phone are the same on a desktop.

  • ITunes Can't Find Some of My Songs & Videos

My old G4 was filling up with song files, so I moved my iTunes Music over to an External WD Firewire Drive and all was well. Yesterday I migrated over to an Intel iMac, connected the drive and fired up iTunes and music filled my room. Then I clicked a few titles and noticed an exclamation point next to some of them and error box pops up indicating that iTunes could not find the files and would I like to look for them.
These songs are indeed on my external drive and can be played in a preview and even dragged into the iTunes application and are now playable. Problem is I'm finding hundreds of these now and I don't know until I try to manually play them. My destination in preferences points to the external drive, I've authorized my computer (some are purchased, some not) and I have an up to date iTunes.
I'm kind of stumped as to what is going on. Any solutions you can pass my way would be appreciated.
    Steve

so my itunes for some reason cannot locate any of my 2000 songs that ive had for the past 4 years. They all come up with little exclamation points!! recently, i went to an apple store and had one of the mac genuises answer some questions, one which was why i had duplicate songs in my itunes library? all was well, and he said it probably had to do with the fact that i had redownloaded them on a my new harddrive. He then proceeded to go through my harddrive and said i should delete all the music files because its taking up harddrive space, and all i needed was the music thats on in itunes - basicaoly he said i had extra copies that i did not need, so at the mac store i deleted them all. so heres where my problem starts, i empty the trash at home - try to play music - then all my music files pop up with exclamation points, nothing will play, and i cant find any of the orginal files which were on the hard drive!! i have no music now, bc some mac genius told me to delete the extra files!!!!!!! so my question is WHAT SHOULD I do now?????
sorry - but eversince mac has monopolized the industry - i have nothing but problems with inconsistent information....... i am advocate of macs - but im getting frustrated when i drive an hour to a mac store with a purchased 100 dollar pro care card - and get the wrong info....which screws me!!!

  • Missing indexes in db02

    Hello,
Checking DB02 i've found a list of missing primary indexes. I know that i can use SE14 to adjust the indexes but i found some decumentation that says that i should first check if double index for the primary index exist and elimenate them.
    Please Advice.
    David.

    hi David,
    oss note 157918
    BW: DB02 shows "missing indexes"
    Symptom
DB02 shows indexes of a fact table to be missing. Such indexes have names that start with prefixes /BI0/F or /BIC/F (BW 1.2, BW 2.x) or /BI0/E or /BIC/E (BW 2.x only).
    Additional key words
Business Information Warehouse, InfoCube, Fact Table, Bitmap Indexes, Oracle, DB02, Unique Index
    Cause and prerequisites
For BW 1.2, this only applies to Oracle-based systems. For BW 2.x, this might apply to any DB-platform.
BW 1.2 and BW 2.x take advantage of certain DB-specific features which are not supported by the data dictionary of R/3 4.0, 4.5 or 4.6 base systems. Prominent examples are bitmap indexes on fact tables (Oracle-based BW systems), partitioned/fragmented indexes, nologging and parallel index building facilities etc. Such features are used in BW by triggering native SQL statements which bypass the data dictionary.
While all these features improve performance of the BW system, there are, however, some other transactions that are also affected when the data dictionary is bypassed. Amongst these is DB02. It sometimes claims that certain indexes of infocube fact tables are missing while direct checks on the database level show that those indexes are not missing at all or substituted by equivalent indexes. The latter might happen in BW 2.x where the primary index on fact tables might be replaced by a non-unique index or simply skipped as it is not required. Therefore you can usually ignore those messages. Obviously, we are currently working on removing such inconsistent information. If you want to be sure on the indexing then check the solution section of this note.
    Solution
For BW 1.2A systems (Oracle only):
You have to ask your local DBA to check the state of the indexes directly by looking at the USER_INDEXES table on the Oracle database.
For BW 1.2B systems (Oracle only):
There are two alternatives to check the secondary indexes of infocube and aggregate cubes fact tables:
               (1) Go to the Admin Workbench. Go to the infocube. Click the right mouse button and choose "InfoCube Performance". This leads you to a screen that shows the state of those indexes via traffic light semantics. There are also buttons to repair inconsitent states of the indexes.
               (2) Use transaction RSRV. Go to the tabstrip "Database". Choose the item "Indices of an InfoCube and its aggregates" and insert the (technical) infocube name (e.g. 0BWTC_C01) in the input box at the bottom of the screen. Press F8 ("Analysis") and wait until a red, yellow or green light appears beside "Indices of an InfoCube and its aggregates", i.e. in the "Result" column. Then press F6 ("Results") in order to see a detailed report on the index situation of that cube.
               (3) Go to SE37 and do a "single test" for the function module RSDU_CHECK_SECONDARY_INDEXES. Use the infocube's technical name (e.g. 0BWTC_C01) as the input parameter and 'X' for both, the I_COMPLETE_CHECK and I_WITH_AGGREGATES, parameters. Press F8 to run the module. Only the C_T_INDEX output parameter is relevant. It shows a list of indexes. Check the TYPE and STATUS columns. These should show 'BITMAP' and 'VALID' respectively.
For BW 2.0A systems (all DB-platforms):
For checking secondary indexes on individual infocubes the following methods can be applied, similar to the BW 1.2B solution:
               (1) Go to the Admin Workbench. Go to the infocube. Click the right mouse button and choose "Manage". Choose the tabstrip "Performance". This leads you to a screen that shows the state of those indexes via traffic light semantics. There are also buttons to repair inconsitent states of the (secondary) indexes.
               (2) same as (2) for BW 1.2B.
               (3) Go to SE37 and do a "single test" for the function module RSDU_INFOCUBE_INDEXES_CHECK. Use the infocube's technical name (e.g. 0BWTC_C01) as the input parameter, leave the I_FACTTAB initial, use 'X' for both, the I_COMPLETE_CHECK and I_WITH_AGGREGATES, parameters and use 'U' in the I_DOUBLE_FACTTAB parameter. Press F8 to run the module. Only the C_T_INDEX output parameter is relevant. It shows a list of indexes. Check the TYPE_CHECK, UNIQUE_CHECK, PARTITIONED_CHECK and STATUS_CHECK columns. These should show 'G' (= "green" = ok) respectively.
If your BW 2.0A system is on patch level 11 Make DB02 consistent by running the report SAP_UPDATE_DBDIFF (via SE38), go to DB02 and press the "Refresh" button in order to synchronise the information in DB02 with the DBDIFF table. This should provide you with a consistent view.
For BW 2.0B and BW 2.1C systems (all DB-platforms):
DB02 should work consistently in BW 2.0B / BW 2.1C  with infocubes created in 2.0B / BW 2.1C. If you wish, you can still use the BW 2.0A approach. For infocubes that were created in BW 2.0A or BW 1.2 you need to adjust the index setup (on the facttables) by running the report SAP_INFOCUBE_INDEXES_REPAIR. The latter is available from BW 2.0B patch 3 onwards. It should be run in a background process as it might take a while to run through.
You also might want to run the report SAP_UPDATE_DBDIFF once in order to update the table DBDIFF that lists database objects whose data dictionary setting do not correspond to the actual setup and that should therefore be omitted in DB02 checks.

  • Debugging Drive Cache

I am writing a custom plugin using Drive 3.0.1.104.  For the most part, my plugin is working well.  Occasionally, however, it looks like the Drive cache is not consistent with state of the content in my CMS.  When this happens, I notice the wrong context menu items will be enabled in Finder/Explorer (e.g., "Check In..." vs. "Cancel Check Out..."), and the Drive icon in InDesign does not contain a checkmark or a pencil.  When I look in the logs, I will often see exceptions like "FileSystemException: Invalid Handle" or "ModelObjectNotFoundException: Cannot find class com.adobe.drive.data.internal.model.Asset with id='144'".
I assume this is due to me sending inconsistent information to Drive via the UpdateRecipe.  However, since Drive is a black box and this is happening intermittently, it makes it extremely difficult to debug issues like these.  Is there any way to open the hsqldb database so that I can try to understand the current state of the Drive cache?  I have downloaded hsqldb, but don't have the password to get into the database.
    Thanks,
    Rich

The database files of Adobe Drive are under the following folder:
    Win XP: C:\Documents and Settings\[current-machine-user]\Application Data\Adobe\CS5ServiceManager\database
    Win 7: C:\Users\[current-machine-user]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CS5ServiceManager\database
    Mac: /Users/[current-machine-user]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CS5ServiceManager\database
To browse database, execute the following command to launch hsqldb util.
    java -cp [path-to-hsqldb.jar] org.hsqldb.util.DatabaseManagerSwing
A 'Connect' dialog will appear. Input the following info In 'Connect' dialog to open the database.
    Type: HSQL Database Engine Standalone
URL: jdbc:hsqldb:file:[path-to-database, above shows the details]/adrive-db
    User: SA
    Password:[no password, leave it blank]
After successfully connect to the database, you can input sql to browse database content.
