Incorrect PDEObject Type error
Hi,
I'm having a little trouble with determining if an XObject in the content stream is visible. I'm trying to use PDEElementIsCurrentlyVisible, but it throws an Adobe exception at this call, and the error message is "Incorrect PDEObject Type". Needless to say, this isn't exactly the most enlightening error message I've ever seen. I'll post the code I'm using, and hopefully someone can tell me where I've gone wrong... Thanks.

This type of detailed code level issue should be submitted to Adobe Developer Support as a formal issue.

I had the same problem. Go to http://<J2ee server>:<port>/useradmin login as administrator. enter the user ID e.g. ADSUSER. Select the user and choose modify. On the first tab, towards the bottom, you will see the type is set to default, change it to technical, save and retest, it should work. Well, it did for me

Adobe 8 - Unexpected Corrupt or incorrect file type warning when viewing a PDF file from the Web
Hi,
On downloading a PDF file from my web site using Adobe 8 on the client machine I expect the file to open automatically however I receive encounter the "File Download" dialog. It has the following warning message: "The file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default program. It is either corrupted or it has an incorrect file type. As a security precaution, it is recommended that you cancel the download."
This issue did not occur within previously tested versions of Adobe Reader (e.g. Version 5.1).
On investigating the issue I discovered the factor that results in Adobe 8 failing to open the file automatically is the Content-Type = "application/pdf; Charset=utf-8". However, if I intercept the response and alter the Content-Type to contain only "application/pdf;" the issue on Adobe 8 does not occur.
I have even tested when the Content-Type contains an empty Charset (i.e. "application/pdf; Charset=") but this issue still occurs. In addition setting the Charset to other encodings (e.g. "ISO-LATIN-7", "iso-8859-1") the issue occurs.
QUESTION(s):
1. Why is it necessary for Adobe 8 when opening PDF files from the web to expect no Charset within the Content-Type?
2. If this was not an issue within previous versions of Adobe surly this is a bug?
Since I cannot ensure that the Response's Content-Type does not contain a Charset at all please can someone suggest either a work-around or more importantly a solution to the issue?
Please Note:-
1. Within Adobe, Edit -> Preferences -> Internet option it's compulsory for our users to have "Display PDF in browser" ticked!
2. We cannot prevent a Charset from being present within the Content-Type of the response sent to the client, hence this issue.

This is exactly the same behavior I observed when I rendered a PDF stored in a database through a .NET page. If I chose to save it, it would open fine after the save, but if I chose to open it in the browser without saving it, I would get the error.
The problem was not with the PDF or Acrobat. It was with the way I was delivering the PDF. Putting the following code before my binarywrite fixed the issue completely:
Response.ClearHeaders()
Response.ClearContent()
Response.ContentType = "application/octet-stream"
Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", "attachment; filename=" + saveFilename)
where saveFileName is the name you want to give the PDF.
You can use 'inline' instead of 'attachment' above if you just want the PDF to open (no option to save first). You can also use 'pdf' instead of 'octet-stream' (not sure the difference).
The trouble seems to be that .NET puts some info in the header and/or content by default prior to anything your code says to write. If you don't clear this, IE has an issue with it. Other browsers seem to ignore it.
Bottomline is that this is an issue the website programmer needs to fix and is not something the user can fix by changing some setting(s).

I am trying to print a BI report result from portal. I get the error message "Error while generating PDF".
When I see the detail of the message, I could find the mesage "Incorrect content-type found 'text/html'"
We are using web templates of BI7.0.
I have followed the note 1004321. Nothing happened.
Is this the rite note or am i misdiagnosing the issue?

Most probable reson for this issue is the expiry of the password for ADSUser.
Go to Visual Admin:
-> server -> service -> security provider service -> user management tab, then select user ADSUser.
If option 'No password change is required' is not selected, please check it.

I am trying to install Boxi3. The cms and audit dbs are all in sql database. The dbs and accounts are setup properly. However while installing, after I selected the CMS and Audit DBs, I am getting

Incorrect IDoc type ZSWA003 in the ALE defintion of the source system.

When I triggering the load from BW it is giving me an error Incorrect IDoc type ZSWA003 in the ALE defintion of the source system.
When I am checking the connection in source system with R3 system , it is giving me this error and asked me to Enter IDoc type ZSWA011 .
Please tell me how to do this.Hi,
I assume that the source system has been copied fom production onto quality-system (or somothin likely).

Please check WE20 transaction and look for idoc type there.Most likely you need to make some corrections in there. Also check BD64.

I have defined a R/3 Source System in BW client. This source system points to another R/3 Server in our system landscape. When I right click on the source system and click on the "check" option, getting the following error - "Incorrect Idoc type ZSKB013 in the ALE definition of the source system".
Where can I change this setting and will this be done on BW side or R/3?

Can any one answer on that.
I followed the following procedure
1. I recreated the connections in R3 and BW using transactions WE20 and WE21.
Do not know if these steps are necessary or not,but thats the way i followed earlier as told by my superior.
I also tried just deleting these connection, instead of recreate, both time, result was same.
It worked last time but now its giving the same error.
I check the connection and it give this error.
I tried to restore, it gave me error
Source system cannot use any of the proposed connection names
Message no. RSAR362
Diagnosis
Every connection to a source system is named using a unique two-digit identifier. Source system ZRQCLNT330 does not accept any of the proposed values.
The last proposed value was ZA.
Don't know how to proceed now.
Any suggestions?

Update on this issue.
We solved it by Restoring the source system
Steps
1. Check the rfc and rfc user in both system to coimmunicate.
2. Delete the partner profile in both system (We20/21). Please some one confirm about this.
3. Then Simply Restore the Source system. It will create the partner profiles in both system.

Does anyone have any experience setting up an aStore from Amazon within iWeb 09 ? It seems quite easy but I can't get it to publish. I take the code from the Amazon generator ( you have a choice of inline and frameset ) and put it into the iWeb HTML

Playing website videos requiring flash media player.
Websites such as cnn.com and foxnews.com as well as many others offer video clips for viewing, but they require use of a flash media player. Is it possible to play such clips on an IPhone and, if so, how?

HT4527 i moved my iTunes from windows computer to my new mac, but my playlists did not move too ??
I managed to move my itunes library from my old Windows computer to my new Mac computer, but all my playlists did not move ? cant figure out why. Will i have to sit and re-do all my playlists again ?? does anyone know please ??
