Incorrect port in Request.URL

I am using VS 2013. IIS 8.0 Express and Azure .NET SDK v2.2
With a simple WebAPI template project I am able to repro this. When I locally debug the project in the azure compute emulator, it starts up the web page in https://127.0.0.1. However, in the request, the URI comes up with port 444.
Is there any known fix / workaround for this bug?
I could find similar issues for others at following pages but their workarounds don't work for me.  Nothing in Request object or Request.RequestContext.HttpContext.Request object has the right URL. For e.g. if I try to open https://127.0.0.1:444/,
I get "page not found" error.
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/21062617/wrong-port-number-in-mvc-4-windows-azure-request-url
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15163670/request-url-has-wrong-port-information
Thanks!

After reading through this, I think this might be by design. The request is associated with DIP rather than VIP since it is
just been forwarded from the Load balancer.
However, this would still mean that I need to keep 443 unused for my service to function normally. My service redirect users to live login page and it has to provide the VIP domainname port as redirect url in order to get the request.
During local debugging, requests to url:port provided in Request.Url doesn't work. Overall this azure local debugging setup still is a mess.
Let me know if there is any other workaround/fix.

Question: why is sso rewriting the url from .../pls/apex/f?p=.. to .../plsapex/f?p=?
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks.
Abstract: APEX 3.1.2.00.02 install with sso config, error "requested url ../plsapex/f .. was not found"
    Situation:
Upgraded from Apex 3.0.0.00.20 to Apex Application Express 3.1.2.00.02
I get to my apex_admin and apex builder pages with url: [http://machinename:port/pls/apex] or
    [http://machinename:port/pls/apex_admin]
When I try to access our application using no authentication scheme everything is fine.
But when I switch to sso authentication, somehow strangely the url [http://machinename:port/pls/apex/f?p=application_number]
    is rewritten to sso [http://machinename:port/plsapex/f?p=application_number].

    please help me..
after run in command prompt (java -jar c:\apex.war) to install apex listener,
i have error when i call link http://localhost:8080/apex/listenerConfigure.
    In browser show :

The requested URL /apex/listenerConfigure was not found on this server
how i can fix this error?
    thx :) :) :)

    Hi Beny,
let's see what I can do to help you fix your installation.
java -Dapex.port=1521 -jar c:\apex\apex_listener\apex.warThat way you would try to start the APEX Listener on a port that is usually used by the database listener. This could work if you don't have a database installed on that machine or you configured the database listener to use a different port, but I wouldn't recommend to use that port anyway, as anybody will associate it with at database listener... In your case, it sounds like you have a database installed on the same machine you start your APEX Listener on and the database is using that port already. That's why you get "nothing" when you try to access the APEX Listener - the APAEX Listener can't bind to a port that's already used by another process.
java -Dapex.port=8081 -jar c:\apex\apex_listener\apex.war That port sounds better. The fact that you get an internal error indicates that the APEX Listener is actually working on that port, so we could try to debug.
My first guess is, that you've already configured the APEX Listener before. Since you had it running before, I assume you didn't remove the old configuration, so the APEX Listener will reuse it. You'll find the corresponding information in the console output of your APEX Listener.
If that's the case, the error will most likely not be in the previously working APEX Listener configuration, but in your APEX installation. Did you perform the installation steps concerning the APEX_PUBLIC_USER documented for the installation of APEX using APEX Listener? See the corresponding section of the [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/install.40/e15513/otn_install.htm#BABDEEIH]APEX Installation Guide for details.

    Adding to it,
First thing need to modify the server.xml and default-web-site.xml file as mentioned . Even after it doesn't work check for the security settings in the browser.
For IE, Goto Tools-> Internet Options -> Security tab -> Custom level.
    Try enabling the security settings.

  • How can a servlet determine the exact requesting URL

This seems like a simple question, but I cannot find a solution. I am wondering how a servlet can determine the exact requesting URL that invoked the servlet. Specifically, I am having trouble making my servlet determine if the port number was specified or not. I am using session tracking, and my web server (by default) produces two separate sessions when hitting https://myserver.com/myservlet and https://myserver.com:443/myservlet.
I have tried to use the HttpUtils.getRequestURL(), but this function seems to assume that if you used https over port 443, that you DID NOT specify 443 in the URL.
    SV

If your servlet container implements servlet 2.2 or better, try the request.getRequestURL() method. It should return everything that was originally entered for the request address at the client except the query string (use request.getQueryString() to get that).
I am not sure how it handles the port number for specifically entered vs not specifically entered.

  • SipCilentConnection port in Request-URI

    Hi All,
I want to register my J2ME based VoIP application (its using JSR180) to an IMS network.
P-CSCF for my IMS core network is listening on port 4060.
I am using GoSIP sample application (this is bundled with Java Wireless Toolkit). Some code snippet of my register method goes like this :
       *String proxyAddress = "pcscs.mydomain.com";*
       *String domainRealm = "mydomain.com";*
       *String myName = "shiv";*
       *String myIP = "172.21.60.100"*
                            *scc = (SipClientConnection)Connector.open("sip:" + proxyAddress + ":4060"); *// MARK 1**
                            *//scc = (SipClientConnection)Connector.open("sip:" + proxyAddress); *// MARK 2**

Any help is highly appreciated. Please let me know if you do not understand the problem.
    Regards,

After reading through this, I think this might be by design. The request is associated with DIP rather than VIP since it is
just been forwarded from the Load balancer.
However, this would still mean that I need to keep 443 unused for my service to function normally. My service redirect users to live login page and it has to provide the VIP domainname port as redirect url in order to get the request.
During local debugging, requests to url:port provided in Request.Url doesn't work. Overall this azure local debugging setup still is a mess.
Let me know if there is any other workaround/fix.

  • The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found

So I went in today to add a new form to an application and here is what I get....
Any new ITEM I make, I can not make any changes to without getting the error. Blank page, blank region, standard form item, nothing else on page, everything set to default.
Any new pages / regions all work fine.
Any old pages / regions all work fine.
If I even just create an item, go back into it and hit apply, I get the "The requested URL /pls/apex/wwv_flow.accept was not found"
    Anyone?

    apex version? listener version?
    web server? version?
DB version?  are you on RAC?
(why do people leave these important pieces of information out???)
personally, if a web site works one minute then fails the next with said error, you have a DNS problem.
either too many entries in the DNS ... or two computers with the same IP address.
when the error page displays, double check that the URL is for the correct host and port (eg not localhost)

  • RV042 - incorrect port for UDP responses

We just set up an RV042 in the office, and we're seeing problems with DNS lookups.
I did some experimenting with tcpdump and wireshark, and it looks like the responses from the DNS server are sometimes coming back with an incorrect port number - using a port (at least sometimes) from a previous DNS request.  Most come back ok, but maybe 1 out of 20 are getting messed up.
I'm not sure if this is a bug in the NAT implementation on the RV042, or a configuration problem, or something else.
I'm seeing the same behavior on multiple machines (Linux and Windows) on the LAN.
    RV042 firmware version is 1.3.12.19-tm.
    Any suggestions?

Pardon my memory if I am mistaken, when configuring the protocol bind for the WAN port, there are 4 or 5 options. Service, which of course is 1~65535, source IP, in this scenario it should be the phone or PBX, whatever you're using. The destination IP should be 0.0.0.0 and interface is your desired WAN, WAN 1 or 2.
    Example:
    Wan 1- Cable       Wan 2 - Dsl
           |                              |
           | ________________ |
                          |
                      RV042-----------
                  ____|                |
                  |                     Computer  192.168.10.100
              Tele/PBX 192.168.10.250
On this example to route the Telephone / PBX to WAN 1
    All services 1~65535
    Source IP 192.168.10.250
    Destination IP 0.0.0.0
    Interface WAN 1
Please correct me if I am mistaken, I'm currently not at work due to the US holiday

I bought a few songs and music videos from iTunes, then all of a sudden it wouldn't play and would just skip to the next song. With the music videos it would do the same. Also, this message would show up " The Requested URL could not be found on this server" What does that exactly mean? And what do I need to do to play my music/videos again?

    Hi,
You will need to re-instal iCal as an optional install from your OSX installer DVDs. Then run the Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update.

  • Recorded Videos after Sync: The requested URL was not found on this server.

A few days ago, i recorded a couple of videos. They were saved properly and i could watch them after it in the Camera Roll of my iPhone. Because my memory was almost full, i connected my iPhone to my MacBook and synchronized about 900 old pictures with iPhoto and selected to delete the pictures after the sync. I did not select the recently recorded videos.
After the sync, i opened the Camera Roll on my iPhone and tried to watch the videos again. But now, they all have a grey icon and it says the duration is 0:00 minutes. When i click on a video, it shows me the following error message:
The requested URL was not found on this server.
When i connect my iPhone to iTunes, it says that there is about 350 MB of "Documents and Data" on my phone that I have no idea where it is coming from. Do you think it is possible that the videos are still saved on my phone but my phone doesn't recognize it as videos and can't assign it to the icons in the Camera Roll? Do you have any tips how I can access the videos in case they are still saved somewhere on my iPhone?
Thank you very much in advance for your help and tips!

I have the same problem too!! I was deleting some photos and videos in my phone when the next picture I swiped to was a blank picture with JPG in the middle~ after I closed camera roll and reopened it my photos and videos after that picture are all gone~ and I'm left with 3 videos I took about 30 mins before with 0:00 and when I tried to play them the message popped up saying "requested URL cannot be found on this server" T^T does anyone have a solution to this problem?

When I try to play my itunes videos that I downloaded it says that "This requested url was not found on this server."  Why?  I paid for it, it s/b stored on my phone in itunes.  It was working fine 2 weeks ago.  I am using my iphone 4

I had a similar problem with a tv show. I contacted Apple Support and got the following instructions:
"please delete the episode from your iPad and then redownload it directly to the device. You can download past tv show, app, music, and book purchases without incurring additional charges as long as what you want to download is showing on your Purchased page. Some content may not be available for download again if its provider no longer offers it on the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBookstore.
To enable this feature, you must have the latest version of iTunes. It is available on the Apple website:
    http://www.itunes.com/download
The latest version of iTunes will not affect your library or any items in your account.
To learn how to download past purchases, check out this article:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

I tried it this morning, and it worked.
