Incorrect syncing from iCal to mobile phone

When entering events on my SE Z530i, all events are perfectly synced with iCal.
When entering data in iCal, the events are badly synced: the data is correct, but the time and duration is wrong.
For instance: 17:00 - 18:30 changes into 10:00 - 11:00

The *Time Zone* and *Daylight Savings* settings are incorrect in your phone. See below for more info

  • Automatic syncing from iCal with cellular phone?

    I use iCal v.2.0.4 with OSX Tiger and it works splendid. However, when I want to sync my calendar with my SonyEricsson k750i I need to open iSync and then press Command+T to start the sync. Even though this works great I would like to have iCal sync automatically with my cellular phone each time a change is made to my callendar. Does anyone know of any product or "hack" to fix this?
    Any hints or pointer are apreciated.

    I use .mac, so I just set iSync on my Mac to open at login, and my .mac preference to sync automatically. I leave iSync running minimized in the doc and everything stays in sync.
    If you're not a dot mac user google for iSync applescript
    There are several posts on how to set up an alternative method.

  • How do I sync from ical and address book to office for mac 2011

    How do I sync from ical and address book to office for mac 2011 in outlook?  icloud is turned on, sync is turned on in outlook and in itunes.  Email working fine in outlook, but no contact or calendar information.  Microsoft said it is an Apple issue.  They said icloud is not compatible with Outlook.  I have OS Lion if you need to know that.

    You have to sync from the iPhone 3 to your computer (iTunes) and then sync from the computer to the iPhone 4.

  • I'm trying to restore my iPhone 5 to the original settings because it did not sync my contacts from my last phone (it synced from my husband's phone instead).  I keep getting a message saying that files were corrupt so it couldn't restore settings. Ideas?

    I'm trying to restore my iPhone 5 to the original settings because it did not sync my contacts from my last phone (it synced from my husband's phone instead).  I am trying to delete everything so I can back it up from my previous phone and not my husband's.  I keep getting a message saying that files were corrupt so it couldn't restore settings. Ideas?

    I tried following the instructions listed in the following thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/19512128#19512128
    but have still been unable to backup data using the third party software.
    TouchCopy tells me I have no photos or Video ad won't alllow me to copy any of the critical files e.g. Notes, Calendar, Contacts, Messages, etc.
    Anyone have any other suggestions for backing up my iPhone? Or help using TouchCopy?
    If I am ever able to get TouchCopy to work, should I be using Copy to iTunes or Copy to PC option?
    Thanks!

  • Calendar events on iPhone not syncing to ical or Mobile Me -- Tiger OS

    I had to replace my iPhone 3G with another iPhone 3G due to phone problems. Now, events that I had once put in to iCal are still showing up on my iPhone but are not on my iCal or Mobile Me calendar. As per advice on other threads, I did a complete reset through Sync. Now, I have duplicate calendars (different color coding) but still no events. Can someone please help? I'm not using Outlook, I'm using the Tiger OS.

    Thanks for reply.
    In Settings>iCloud, my account is set up and appears under heading "iCloud."
    In Settings>Mail, Contacts & Calendars, same account listed under heading "iCloud."
    In Calendar list in iPhone Calendar app, new calendar is listing along with all others that are part of iCloud account.
    All other calendars in that account sync, just not this new one with ics data imported to iPhone.

  • Creating Folder and Accessing Files from Folders in mobile phone

    Hello Friends,
    I am doing my project where I need to create folders and accessing files from those folders in java enabled mobile phones.But I do not know the required tasks for this.Any type of help is highly appreciated.
    Greeting
    Saadi

    You have to get the classname of the Items you receive from getitems.
    There you have only to look for Folder.CLASS_NAME. Example:
    ifsFol sorted by names in ascending order (names of folders and files)
    String[] sort_attributes = {"NAME"};
    //sort will be ascending
    boolean [] sort_orders = {true};
    oracle.ifs.common.SortSpecification sort = new oracle.ifs.common.SortSpecification(sort_attributes, sort_orders);
    ifsFol.setSortSpecification(sort);
    PublicObject[] contents = ifsFol.getItems();
    System.out.println("Here are the names of the items in folder: ");
    for (int i=0; i < contents.length; i++) {
    if (contents.getClassname().equals(Folder.CLASS_NAME)) {
    System.out.println(contents[i].getName());

  • Sync from ical to Google calendar

    Oddly I found this info nowhere on the net. There's lots of advice to sync Google to iCal, but getting the iCal calendars already on your mac synced to Google ? Things become hugely complicated and mostly require 3rd party apps. When in fact it's relatively simple.
    1) Sync Google to iCal. Google based calendars will appear underneath your desktop based calendars in the left hand bar of iCal. Google calendars are synced fine, but your desktop calendars are not, and that is the problem (for the moment).
    2) Select (highlight) one of your desktop calendars. File - Export and save the file somewhere on your Mac.
    3) In Google Calendar (on the internet, not in iCal), create a new calendar and give it the name of the desktop calendar you just exported.
    4) In Google Calendar, choose Import and select the file you created on your Mac. Assign it to the new calendar you created in Google.
    Bingo, the calendar now appears in Google under the same name as your desktop. It also reappears a few moments later in iCal (when iCal resyncs with Google) under the Google section in the left hand bar of iCal. BUT all the entries for that calendar now appear double in iCal, once for the desktop version and once for the Google version. So :
    5) Deselect the desktop version (or remove it - you can always reimport the exported file if necessary)
    6) Proceed the same way for the rest of your desktop based calendars.
    You now have all your calendars both on Google and iCal (including all past events) and they will remain synced from now on. No third party app required. The only limitation I've seen so far is that you can't create calendar groups (to archive the calendars you no longer need, for example) in Google.
    Hope this helps.

    I thought the answer would be CalDav. Publishing your calendars to your server or mobileme. But when I did this nothing showed up in Gcal.

  • Calendar Sync from iPhone 3G & Mobile.me to Outlook works with new firmware

    YEAH - SOLUTION TO ONE PROBLEM FOUND !
    Appointments I created on the Iphone do not get synced to Outlook via Mobile.me
    *NO LONGER SO !*
    I upgraded my firmware on my iPhone 3G to version 2.0 (5A347) by clicking on the Restore button in tha iTunes interface. It then downloads a new firmware to the iPhone and with this - I can sync all tha way !

    I can't remember where I found this but it worked for me. To get appointments composed on the iPhone to sync with Outlook, the appointments must be recurring. So what I do now until Apple gets this problem fixed is make all of my appointments recurring with start and end date on the same day so they only show up once. Try it, it works for me.

    This worked for me. Thanks so much! It's still a pain in the "you know what!" Make sure you do the following.....
    1. Repeat, Every Day, Save
    2. End Repeat, Enter Same Date as above, Save

  • How to share internet connection from notebook to mobile phone with micro usb cord in Debian based OS? (reverse tethering)

    I want to share internet connection from notebook to my mobile phone (Keon) with micro usb cord (because I don't have wifi). I found in Firefox OS (version: Boot2Gecko 1.1.1.0-prerelease) Settings only the possibility to share internet from mobile phone to PC. I use a Debian based OS: Knoppix. I tried to accomplish this with Networking Manager and I did a new wired connection via my phone with "Shared to other computers" IPv4 Settings and with FE:...:02 (usb0) MAC address. But on my phone there is not internet although the connecton between my notebook and phone is estableshed.

    Hi Pimpo,
    Thank you for posting your question. I was trying to reproduce your the Shared network, and I would love to know what kind of network you used to connect. This is not possible as of yet and I will file a bug being able to do this, but to make sure I have the right steps on the bug can you confirm the set up of the shared network please?
    Also this is currently not possible because the software does not know how to send network traffic over usb, assuming you do not have the ability to turn the computer into a wifi hot spot, which I would recommend instead...

  • How to send sms from pc to mobile phones

    Hey house,
    Am handling a project on how to send a personalized sms msg from a pc to multiple mobile phones.Any body with that technology should be of help .Thanks

    The simplest way is to find a web service which does this (there are several). Obviously you need to pay, something like buying a batch of transmissions up front. It's not very expensive, though. The particular instructions will be on the web site of the service, probably for various languages. Your invocations of the service will include your credentials.

  • Bluetooth file transfer from Sharp GX29 mobile phone to iBook

    hello all,
    got a new sharp gx29 mobile phone.
    problem:
    cannot send files via bluetooth to my ibook.
    but can send from ibook to Sharp.
    when trying to send from phone, a dialog window opens on mac os x, asking whether accept or cancel the transfer.
    no matter how many times i click on accept, nothing happens, sometimes it hits it, and goes further to a transfer dialog window with the transfer progress bar, but it starts to transfer and stops at about 5-10%, and nothing happens.
    Any one has Sharp GX series and problems like me?
    I know that Sharp is not supported by isync, but that's not what I am trying to do (isync), just a normal file transfer.
    Thnx
    Tom

    I myself have missed the obvious many times so I'm going to ask.
    In System Preferences/Bluetooth/Sharing. Do you have: Bluetooth File Transfer and File Exchange checked???? Then make sure your settings in the pop up menus on the right are correct.
    If you have everything set properly in Bluetooth preferences on your iBook then you might try the Sharp web site for troubleshooting since you can't send files via Bluetooth to your iBook, not the other way around. Sounds like maybe your Sharp possibly has something blocked somewhere...

  • IPhoto incorrectly syncs from iTunes

    I just downloaded 6.0 on my iPad2, and now my iPhoto is all screwed up (again).
    I had a tough time getting images I didn't want off the iPad, then setting up the iTunes sync from the desktop iPhoto  (OSX 10.6.8) so it only sees/syncs one iPhoto folder.  But since 6.0, it now has "recreated" several different folders and downloaded dozens of images (including RAW images I really don't want on the iPad) it keeps creating, then dropping images out of iPhoto that are specifically blocked from syncing.
    Here's a screen grab of iTunes on the desktop that shows the sybcing setup. Any ideas what's going on and how to fix it? Thanks, Brian

    Normally when you set the iPod to autosync it will disconnect when the sync is complete (although still show in iTunes) where the iPod no longer says "Do Not Disconnect". However it still should keep charging.
    If it doesn't keep charging because Windows shuts off the power to the USB port when the iPod disconnects, one solution is to check the box in iTunes on the iPod summary page to Enable Disk Mode. This will cause the iPod to also mount as a drive on your computer but will leave it connected until you eject it from iTunes. This will force Windows to keep the USB power applied.
