Initial load question

Hoping someone has a moment to help me out. To explain, I have three regions. I'd like to NOT display regions two or three on the initial load of the page. In region one, I have a text box to be filled out and a GO button. By the way, I am using HTMLDB 2.0 and I'm trying to do this all on one page.
Once the user enters some search criteria into the text box and hits GO, it should then process and display region two which includes a select list based on a query of all items that are "like" the value entered in the text box.
Finally, when an item is chosen in the list box, I'd like to display region three, which will include several more select lists.
I can't quite figure out how to hide the second and third regions - is there something simple I'm missing?
Also, is there a way to have a "Start Over" button that would jump back up to Region One and start over?
Much thanks to anyone who can help me out! Incidentally, I can get the items created, it just a matter of finding out how to NOT show them until needed that I'm having the problem with... ;)
Thanks!
Steve

Actually, I want to change what I'm trying to do - I have it basically working, but now I'm down to two regions. One region is my text box to allow a user to enter a search string ("%SPECIAL%") but my second region should only be called/populated when they hit the submit button.
In my second region, I have my dynamically created LIST BOX and a bunch of other list boxes with options for my item. All this is working, with the exception of hiding and not populating my list box until the submit button is hit. As it is now, the value typed in my list box stays there from session to session (it's remembering what I typed in) so my second region is being displayed when coming into the page.
I hope this all makes sense and someone can help... :)
Thanks!
Steve

  • Middleware Question - Initial Load vs. Synchronize

Is the initial load (transaction R3AS) of an adapter object required for replication to be carried out from R/3 to CRM? Can I synchronize (R3AS4) instead if I don't need the existing data?
Also, is it even required to do some sort of action (either initial load or synchronize) before we can start replicating?
Our issue is that some items that are under a certain adapter object aren't replicating and I am guessing that I need to either do the initial load or synchronize it. Is this correct?

    Hi,
pl check entries in <b>R/3 Table</b> in SM30
    1) Table CRMRFCPAR... Here check CRM FILTERING ACTIVE
    2) <b>CRMSUBTAB</b> : In this table check for subscription upload and downlod objects
    3) <b>CRMRFCPAR</b> : In this table RFC Destination , you define object and load type ( whether intial load or delta load etc..)
    4) <b>CRMCONSUM</b>: In this table , define possible user of R3 adaptor functionality.
After this you can do In <b>CRM in Transaction R3AS</b> ( initial down load ) the delta download.
In CRM ,You can also do the filter settingf for the objects in transaction <b>R3AC1</b>  ( ADAPTOR object filter settings ) if required , similerly check entry  in transaction R3AC3 and R3AC5

  • MacBook Pro (mid 2010) - Slow Startup and Initial Load of Apps after Mavericks Install

    Hello everyone,
Long time Snow Leopard user here.  I've been absolutely, 100% thrilled with my MBP's performance / speed since mid 2010.  Since installing Mavericks I've noticed two things:
    1. Initial on boot load times seem much slower
    2.  The first time you open an app (Safari, even TextEdit) is far slower than in Snow Leopard.
Now granted, once the computer has been on for about 5 minutes, and once you've had an application open for 1-2 minutes, than performance is okay once again.  But it seems that quite literally everytime you do "anything" for the first time since the computer has been turned on you run the risk of a spinning beachball and an extended wait.  This simply never happened in Snow Leopard.
I'm not a computer science major but I do understand that when you do something for the first time since a reboot it will need to load new files into the RAM which takes time.  However, I've been using this computer since 2010 and have never experienced this behavior / speed / delay, etc... something seems fundamentally different.
For example, even just opening finder, and navigating to the Applications folder results in sluggish behavior the first time.  Also, anytime you first click the top menu bar in an application you run the risk of a beachball.
It doesn't seem like a failing hard drive because I can read/write large chunks of data one an app is finally loaded.  It's just initially loading the app takes quite literally 10-20 times longer than Snow Leopard.  It seems like perhaps Mavericks itself, the core of the new OS was perhaps installed in a bad sector of the HD, but none of my other files are on bad sectors... if that makes sense.  Again - I'm not a computer science major so I'm largely just making things up
It also seems as if multitasking and switching between several open apps has seen a decrease in performance.  Could it be that perhaps Mavericks RAM management is superior to Snow Leopard, but only if there is a TON of RAM to go around?  Could it be as simple as Macs with only  4GB installed should not be allowed to even install Mavericks?
Does this sound normal for Mavericks considering I have a C2D processor, a non SSD, and only 4GB ram?  I know those specs are "outdated" for 2014, but keep in mind these were the specs that I've always had and with Snow Leoapard I was consistently thrilled with the speed of the computer.
I suppose my question is: should my strategy be to simply turn the computer on, get a cup of coffee and let everything load and maybe even have my frequently used apps load on startup, etc... and carry on as normal?  Does something seem off?  Should I invest in a new SSD / RAM upgrade?  I know the upgrades couldn't hurt, but the issue is that I was perfectly content until upgrading to Mavericks
I've tried booting into OS X Recovery mode and using the Disk Utility.  I've tried Safe Mode.  I've included a "EtreCheck" report below.  I'm open to any ideas / suggestions.
    Thanks!!

Wish I could be of some help, but I'm having similar issues on my mid 2011 macbook pro with 8 GB ram. It's very frustrating. I haven't worked on a computer this slow since the early 90's. Even simple things like signing in to this site bring up the beach ball for maybe ten seconds. When opening up apps I often have to wait minutes, and often end up force quitting when they hang. I'm using force quit a dozen or more times a day, when it used to be very rare.
I don't know if it's Mavericks. I installed a new hard drive in November, but the problems really started getting bad since the latest upgrade.
It's not just opening apps. If I have an app open in the background and switch to it I have similar issues. Watching a simple video is often accompanied by stalls and delays - which is really bad as I'm often using the laptop to edit video. It's become unuseable for work.
Perhaps the most frustrating is clicking on a link, only to find Safari decides to complete a previous scroll that it had paused. The page jumps down, and sometimes I end up clicking on a link I didn't want. Then I have to wait for THAT spinning beach ball before I can go back to the previous spinning beach ball.
It can take up to ten minutes to restart. I've tried everything I could find on these pages so far, and nothing has worked.
I thought maybe it was something I've done (and perhaps it is), but I keep seeing others with similar issues.

  • Sales document types during initial load

    Hi Gurus,
    Landscape - SAP R/3 4.6 c, CRM - 4.0
We are starting the initial load for the Sales documents, item categories etc.
For the same, for the document types in R/3, we have the same document type in CRM.
Question 1- Do I need to configure the partner determination, incompletion log etc for the document type before the initial load or I can do it later once the data is in CRM.
Question 2- Is it mandatory that for all the doc types in R/3, we have the respective document type in CRM? Logically yes, if yes, where can I find the mapping? For example for OR in R/3, there is a TA in CRM.
Request someone to answer this ASAP.
    thanks
    Yash

    Hi Yash,
I think the behavior is just use the same code
of Transaction Type in CRM and Order Type in R/3.
Since partner determiniation using different partner
function codes in CRM and R/3, maintained or not in R/3,
you may still need to maintain it again in CRM.
For document, what you can do just create same document
type (Transaction type) for R/3 and CRM. And depends upon
you sceneario (in CRM there are several scenarios such as
document created in CRM and transfered to R/3 Or download
R/3 document into CRM - no transaction in CRM).
Especially for partner, you may need to setup data
transfer CRM to R/3 or R/3 to CRM in CRM configuration.
And in R/3 you need to define it in tcode PIDE.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Gun.

  • Replicating data once again to CRM after initial load fails for few records

My question (to put it simply):
We performed an initial load for customers and some records error out in CRM due to invalid data in R/3. How do we get the data into CRM after fixing the errors in R/3?
    Detailed information:
This is a follow up question to the one posted here.
Can we turn off email validation during BP replication ?
We are doing an initial load of customers from R/3 to CRM, and those customers with invalid email address in R/3 error out and show up in SMW01 as having an invalid email address.
If we decide to fix the email address errors on R/3, these customers should then be replicated to CRM automatically, right? (since the deltas for customers are already active) The delta replication takes place, but, then we get this error message "Business Partner with GUID 'XXXX...' does not exist".
We ran the program ZREPAIR_CRMKUNNR provided by SAP to clear out any inconsistent data in the intermediate tables CRMKUNNR and CRM_BUT_CUSTNO, and then tried the delta load again. It still didn't seem to go through.
Any ideas how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks in advance.
    Max

    Subramaniyan/Frederic,
We already performed an initial load of customers from R/3 to CRM. We had 30,330 records in R/3 and 30,300 of them have come over to CRM in the initial load. The remaining 30 show BDOC errors due to invalid email address.
I checked the delta load (R3AC4) and it is active for customers. Any changes I make for customers already in CRM come through successfully.  When I make changes to customers with an invalid email address, the delta gets triggered and data come through to CRM, and I get the BDOC error "BP with GUID XXX... does not exist"
When I do a request load for that specific customer, it stays in "Wait" state forever in "Monitor Requests"
No, the DIMA did not help Frederic. I did follow the same steps you had mentioned in the other thread, but it just doesn't seem to run. I am going to open an OSS message with SAP for it. I'll update the other thread.
    Thanks,
    Max

  • Initial Load of DD* tables

    Hi everyone,
Just a hopefully quick and simple question. We set up a SLT Replication Server recently and created our first SLT Configuration into HANA. We have no need for real time so we choose a scheduled time out of office hours. The configuration was successful however the DD* tables appeared in a scheduled state. From what I thought these tables should populate (load) initially regardless of the schedule. What appeared to happen was that they were waiting for the first schedule to run. Is this expected? Without these populating initially we could not choose any real ERP tables to replicate.
We also tried with a non-SAP source (Oracle) and the DD* tables for that configuration were populated instantly even though that config was scheduled to run "off-peak" as well.
    Thanks,
    Marcus.

    Hi Marcus,
As far as I understand your question, please find below my comments-
    (sap source system scenario)
If the configuration is created with "schedule by time" option which I think is done in your case, then the  replication server would replicate database changes to target system at the time set by you. Here the metadata of tables would be copied from source system tables[DD002L and DD02T]
yes, you are correct that ideally we should start with ERP tables replication after DD* tables are replicated successfully. This generally is faster but then depends upon the system.
    (non sap source system scenario)
here the DD* tables are just initially loaded and not automatically replicated.
So you would find a difference in how the replication takes place in both scenarios.
Hope it answers to some extent for your query.
    Regards,
    Saritha K

  • Initial load of small target tables via flashback query?

    A simple question.
Scenario: I’m currently building a near real time warehouse, streaming some basic facts and dimension tables between two databases. I’m considering building a simple package to "reset" or reinitialize the dimensions an all-round fix for variety of problem scenarios (since they are really small, like 15 000 rows each). The first time I loaded the target tables I utilized data pump with good success, however since streams transforms data on the way a complete reload is somewhat more complex.
Considered solution: Ill just write a nice flashback query via db-link fetching data from a specific (recent) SCN and then I reinitialize the table on that SCN in streams...
Is this a good idea? Or is there something obvious like a green and yellow elephant in the gift shop that I overlooked? Why I’m at all worried is because in the manuals this solution is not mention among the supported ways to do the initial load of a target table and I’m thinking there is a reason for this?

I have a series of streams with some tranformations feeding rather small dimensional tables, I want to make this solution easy to manage even when operations encounter difficult replication issues, so Im developing a PL/SQL package that will:
    1) Stop all streams
    2) Clear all errors
    3) Truncate target tables
    4) Reload them including transformation (using a SELECT AS OF "ANY RECENT SCN" from target to source over dblink)
    5) Using this random recent SCN I will re-instantiate the tables
    6) Start all streams
As you see datapump even if it works is rather difficult to utilize when you tranform data from A to B, using AS OF I not only get a constant snapshot from the source, I also get the exact SCN for it.
What do you think? Can I safely use SELECT AS OF SCN instead of datapump with SCN and still get a consisten sollution?
For the bigger FACT tables im thinking about using the same SELECT AS OF SCN but there with particular recent paritions as targets only and thus not having to reload the whole table.
Anyways this package would ensure operations that they can recover from any kind of disaster or incomplete recovery on both source and target databases, and just re-instantiate the warehouse within minutes.

  • Initial Load of BUAG_MAIN (Business Agreements) IS-U = CRM

Hello. We are integrating ISU to SAP CRM 7.0.
We have been replicating Business Partners between the two systems for a couple of years, and now wish to begin replication the Business Agreements <=> Contract acconts objects (BUAG_MAIN)
In our development system, in order to successfully process the initial load of BUAG_MAIN, I had to RE-run an inital load of BUPA_MAIN. I am really unconfortable having to do this in our productive systems!
    My question to you experts:
Is there a way to run an initial load of a dependent object (BUAG_MAIN) without having to re-run an initial load of the parent object? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello Pratik,
    - There are no dumps in ST22
    - There are no errors in SMW01
    - No. range settings are set as following:
CRM: Master Data-> Business Agreement-> Define Number Range for Business Agreement:
No.     From number         To number          Ext.
    01       000100000000       000199999999     X
    02       000200000000       000299999999
ERP/IS-U: Financial Accounting (New)-> Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable-> Basic Functions->Contract Accounts->Number Ranges and Contract Account Categories
No.     From number         To number          Ext.
    01       000100000000       000199999999
    02       000200000000       000299999999     X
But before inital download we have set all no. ranges to External as prescribed in the set-up and load guide for business agreements and contract accounts.
(There is just one Business Agreement Class and one contract account category)
Hope to hear from you soon.
    Kind Regards

  • Initial Load of BUPA_MAIN  to GWA_01 does not work

    Hi all
I have a question concerning the serverside groupware Integration and the initial Load of BUPA_MAIN.
According to the groupware integration guide, I have to "Transfer Business Partner to Public Contact Directory".
This is done with transaction R3AS (Object BUPA_Main, Sender=CRM, Receiver=GWA_01 (the mBDOC site)).
When I want to chose the above options in R3AS I cannot select GWA_01 as receiver site (only CRM or OLTP is offered when I click F4). That means when I chose BUPA_MAIN as object I cannot chose GWA_01 as receiver site (fbut or other objects f.ex. GWA_* I can chose GWA_01 as receiver site).
I created all subsriptions needed (I had to recreate the publication "ALL Business Partners (MESG)" because it was missing in my system).
Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?
    Thanks in advance and Regards

  • Initial load with CDC

I am now able to replicate changes made on the source table and make the changes visible on the staging site, now I have two questions:
1.) how do I manage the initial load of the source table.
The table as object gets replicated as an empty table, after the first change on the source table the changes are beeing replictated, but not the whole contents of the table.
2.) how do I manage to apply the changes to target table ?
I have the changes in the change view but with a.) all the additional columns, ending with a $-sign and b.) only the changed values, if the modification was an update-operation.
    rueisel

    Hi Rueisel,
    1. before starting replication, initialiaze yours destinations tables with DataPump. You can create a scripèt based on impdp/expdp ou write a PL/SQL package around DataPump API (not very difficult and well documented)
    2. To propagate the changes from the Changes tables to the Destination tables, you have to write your own solution. The main principles is to
create a job that read the Changes Tables and update the Destination tables (use merge statements). The job can be stored on the Destination database or staging one. A database link must be created between Destination and staging database.
Warning: If you have to propagate some clobs/blobs objects, you have to create a specifc solution because you can not access them throught a database link.
    I hope it's help,
    Cyryl

  • Brand New 8700g initial load

Hi.  I have an 8700g that I rely on heavily.  I recently purchased 2 more new units for a terrific price.  My initial 8700g was under T-Mobile, which I subsequently unlocked and switched to AT&T.
The new 8700g has a blank screen when it's powered up - whether my SIM is installed or not.
I tried restoring my latest back to the new 8700g thinking that may load what is needed to do the initial load and make this a viable backup device.  After the restore, the screen is still a nice shade of blue without any data.
Is there something I can via internet download to make this device a workable unit, or do I need to take it to the AT&T store for the initial load?
Thank you, to all of you who can help me with this question.
    Dave

I don't know what you mean by "initial load"?
New devices come loaded with the OS. You should only need to pop in (or out and in) the battery to boot up.
So is this a truly new device, purchased from a carrier? And you are certain that it boots up fully, but you get a totally blank blue screen... not black or white screen, with icon in the middle? Does the LED at the top right do anything?
I agree, the 8700 is a great device, true workhorse.

  • Initial Load Setup...Potential Big Problem

    Hi All,
I think we have a big problem.  I have posted a similiar question before, but answers are confusing to me.  Let me explain our current situation and please comment.
    1. We are loading billing documents, thus using VDITM.
    2. We have 2 number ranges for billing documents.
    3. On R3 we filled the setup tables with the smaller number of billing documents.  Then in BW ran a full load.
    4. The second billing document number range was kicked off in R3 and setup tables filled.
    5. Now, here is where I think there is a problem.  This second and final load from the setup table was setup and ran as a full load on BW.  Shouldn't this have been the Delta Init?
    Please comment on this:
I believe this second load should be the delta init.  Then after this was done schedule the RMBWV313 job in R3 to run, for us, hourly.  In BW schedule the daily delta to run at night (for us).  Everything is in sync this way.
My concern is the second setup table load from BW was setup as a Full Load.  After this load is done can we just schedule RMBWV313 in R/3 to run hourly and then schedule the Daily Delta in BW to run later that night.
    Please comment asap...please.
    Appreciate it,
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
You may be okay!  You can run the Init Delta InfoPackage in BW <i><b>without</b></i> transferring data, and your delta process would then be set up.  If you have the means, check your data in R/3 and verify in BW after a couple of days (couple of delta extracts) to make sure your billing totals match.
The setup tables are only good for doing your initial load (or full load).
Your other solution would be to delete the second full load in BW, fill your setup table with the second range again (to get the new billing data), and then run the Init Delta InfoPackage in BW <i><b>with</b></i> data transfer, and you should be set to go.
Let us know if you succeed!

  • Does re-running a MDM Initial Load restart from the first record?

Is there a way to restart an Initial load?  I was running a new initial materials load in my ECC system for MDM (MDM_CLNT_EXTR) which was running a very long time (5 days).  The background job hit a bad piece of data and crashed.
My question is: when I re-run my initial load job, will it start over from the first record, or will it pick up from the last material/IDOC and resume processing?  I would prefer not to re-process all 1.7M materials since the job was very near the end before it crashed.
    Thanks,
    Denis

    Hello,
There are two modes which are available in Client Extractor, Initial and Delta.
If you select Initial it will start from the first record, that you mention in the selection Criteria.
In Delta mode, any new records created will be sent to MDM.
For your issue, in the initial mode, select the Material Number from and to, which have not been updated in MDM.
This is will ensure, that only the records that have not been sent.

    Abhishek

  • MDM-BOBJ integration for initial load....

I have attended some demos for the MDM-BOBJ integration that dealt with the on-going creation and maintenance of master data but my question is how this is used for the initial load and enrichment for any master data.
When we used D&B for enrichment, data will be enriched/Cleansed  before the initial load then after loading the data to MDM it will be de-duplicated based on the DUNS number .
How the initial load and de-duplication is handled in MDM-BOBJ integration?.   For example, I have 100 thousand records and would like to enrich/Cleanse it before loading to MDM OR after loading to MDM.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Mike,
Yes, BOBJ dataservices has been extensively used to handle the scenario which you described here.
There is a user guide to explain about the BOBJ-MDM scenarion under Integration of SAP Components with MDM.

hope this helps for Jump start.

  • Multiple Initial Load

    Good day!
I have 27 schemas (which contains 1000+ tables each) and I needed to replicate all of it in our DR machine, my question, is it possible to create multiple initial load extract for me to be able to finish initial loading in a small amount of time?
    Thanks!!
    Regards,

I'm having this kind of problem.
I need to migrate database from Solaris with raw devices to AIX RAC with ASM.
As it is a production server and it cannot spend to much time down to transfer huge data using expdp from one server to another, the only way I found to do it is using GoldenGate.
    Can somebody help me?
